Mercure Surabaya Grand Mirama

I stayed in room 907.
I only stayed 1 night because I had to make a last-minute reservation, but overall I was very satisfied.
I was able to enjoy all the Accor Elite benefits, including free breakfast, room upgrades, and late checkout.
The price is very reasonable so I think here would be a good hotel for a long stay.
I'd give the breakfast a full score.
From check-in to check-out, every staff member I encountered was incredibly kind. Before check-out, a girl in a gray suit at the Accor member priority desk showed me a suite at my request. Although she didn't speak perfect English she was very kind.
I will stay in a suite at this hotel on my next visit.
To GM : The only downside was that the shower pressure in the room was weak, and there was only hot or cold water. I couldn't take a lukewarm shower.

I had a wonderful experience staying at Grand Mercure Mirama Darmo Surabaya. The hotel has a warm, elegant atmosphere with modern interiors that feel both comfortable and luxurious. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, making the stay very relaxing.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always greeting with a smile and ready to assist with any request. The location is also very convenient, close to restaurants, shopping areas, and key spots in the city.
Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable stay. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers. Would definitely come back!

We stayed at **Mercure Surabaya Grand Mirama** during New Year’s Eve with our family, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel had a warm and festive atmosphere, making our celebration even more special. The room was comfortable and clean, and the facilities were well maintained.
The service was excellent and truly made our stay memorable. **Great job to Mas Ancha, Pak Rufus, Mas Didik, Mas Tio, and Mas Rozak** for their outstanding hospitality, friendliness, and professionalism. They were very attentive and always ready to help, which made us feel very welcomed.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel for a family stay, especially during special occasions like New Year’s Eve. We look forward to coming back again.

Staff: 5/5. Always attentive and polite. Highly hospitable.
Room: 1/5 air conditioning was poor. Technician came twice, I felt like I was being a problematic customer. Despite them saying the air conditioning is at its normal function, it needed to be 4-5 Celsius lower to make it comfortable. Unfortunate this was never sorted out and the 2 nights stay was not pleasant. Cleanliness ok but there were mold in the toilet blinds. Interior design of the room made it awkward to reach the light switches/ plug point.
Location: 3/5. Away from main city. Some nice cafe within walkable distance. In hindsight I would hv picked somewhere on tunjungan street.
Facilities: 1/5. Picked the hotel as the pool looked nice. But on saturday it was opened to the public for swimming classes. Not part of the pool. ALL of it. Personal 1-1 swimming classes, at one point I counted 25 sets of student and instructor, inc 25 sets of parents. Which rendered the pool unusable. Staff told me that I should hv stayed during weekdays. Not the best thing to say to an annoyed customer. Sunday, the pool was closed for a wedding. Cant help feeling shortchanged as a hotel patron.
Breakfast: 3/5 decent spread. Flavour wise okay. Some items took a while to be refilled. Cramped on our last day as part of the area was cordoned off for a wedding. Perhaps breakfast on that day could hv been moved elsewhere since the wedding seems to be the priority (there are other restaurants in the hotel) imo.

All of the Staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast have wide variety menu and the good thing is the Low calories pastry, very good appetizer. Have a trip from Bali to Madiun and choose this Hotel for rest one night and this is a good decision for us to rest in this hotel. Thank you.

Stayed for 4 nights here. It was worth it. Although there were some issues with the room but if didn't bother me that much. Breakfast was also very good too.

Spacious and clean room. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, and the service was fuss-free throughout our stay. Overall, a pleasant experience. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches of artefacts and traditional paintings displayed throughout the hotel, including in the room. The only minor downside is the location—still it’s not too far (about 5–10 minutes to the main shopping mall), but the area is quiet in the evening.

Mercure Grand Mirama Surabaya: 2nd visit, but a bit dissapointed 😓😓
Room: booked privilege room and got upgraded to privilege luxe, which was definitely bigger, but had a very bad view (the roof of whatever building was beside it). 2 2-seater Sofas, 1 smart tv, and the typical mercure amenities and furniture. Comfy and clean bed and room. Bathroom was small, but clean. Water pressure was good, but bathroom blind was dirty. Sadly, the sink was also clogged, but since we were busy the whole stay, we didnt call for engineering team. Welcome amenity was good.
Breakfast: good variety and taste, but no beef, only fish or chicken. Breakfast staff was good and plenty.
Staffs: great front office staffs, but security team was a let down. Most security guards seem to underestimate guests and didnt even look friendly. I suggest better hospitality for the guards.
Building: same old building with two elevators, and the other building was still renovated and set to open soon.
Parking: good parking space, plenty in front and in the back.
Facilities: this is a sad one. Swimming pool was murky and had zero visibility. Idk what happened but there was only 1 pool staff during the time that I swam (16.00-17.00).
If the negatives can be fixed, and the hotel wants to keep improving, I would recommend this hotel. Supposed to be worth it for the price.
Ps: after emailing about what happened, the hotel has reached out and given compensation for my stay. Looking forward to a better stay.

Good ambience and breakfast some place to visit when yo go to surabaya. The staff is good the room was awesome. Either yo need something al the staff will help with with warm welcome. But this 200 characters need to be simpliefied because its too much!
