Amaris Hotel Darmo Surabaya

An outdoor parking lot directly next to the building is available for guests. On regular days, there is ample space for passenger cars. During banquets and festive events, the parking area fills up quickly, requiring guests to park on the adjacent street. The motorcycle parking area is quite small. On-duty security staff assist drivers with maneuvering around the clock and ensure safety.

The front desk staff warmly welcomes visitors and efficiently processes check-ins at any time of day, including late-night arrivals. The staff and on-duty security gladly assist with luggage and respond promptly to requests. In the event of technical issues, the team strives to provide an alternative room or call a technician. However, some guests have experienced delays in room readiness during afternoon check-in and occasional issues with automatic enrollment in the loyalty program.

Breakfast is served buffet-style from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The selection includes traditional Indonesian dishes, pastries, and a live egg cooking station, with the menu being updated regularly. Breakfast for children can be purchased separately, though dry cereals are not available at the buffet. À la carte restaurant orders are accepted until approximately 9:00 PM. Among the feedback, guests have noted slow replenishment of food trays toward the end of breakfast hours, bland flavors in some dishes, and occasional concerns regarding food freshness.

Glass bottles of drinking water are provided for guests in the rooms. Additionally, water dispensers for refills are installed on each floor, and hot water dispensers are located near the elevator lobby. Electric kettles, coffee makers, and tea sets are not provided in the rooms. Guests typically bring their favorite beverages with them or purchase them on the ground floor.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel property. Connection speed depends directly on the room's location: the network operates reliably on the middle floors, whereas guests on the upper floors report slower speeds and connection drops. The TVs are connected to cable television with a limited channel selection. Some guests have also noted grainy picture quality and static during certain broadcasts.

The rooms feature a compact layout with comfortable wide beds and work desks, though they lack wardrobes. Guests have mixed reviews regarding cleanliness. While some praise the neatness of the bathrooms, there are occasional complaints about dust in corners, insufficiently mopped floors, and stained bed linen. During periods of high occupancy, non-smoking guests were occasionally assigned rooms previously occupied by smokers, where the smell of tobacco lingered even after air freshener treatment.

The rooms feature a centralized air conditioning system. In most accommodations, the climate control units cool effectively. However, guests often mention the lack of fine individual temperature adjustments. In a few rooms, guests complained of weak airflow and inconsistent cooling.

The shower areas offer good water pressure and a reliable hot water supply. Guests are provided with fresh towels, soap, shampoo, disposable slippers, and dental kits, although hygiene kits occasionally need to be requested at the front desk. Hairdryers are not installed in the rooms and are not always available upon request from staff. The rooms also lack in-room safes and bathrobes.
