Stayed in Quest Surabaya for 2 nights. The hotel location was superb, within walking distance from the hotel you can find plenty of eateries and coffee shops. Katedral Surabaya is also nearby. The staffs were very helpful as I went back and forth to check on my package delivery. Every staffs were well trained, from the reception to the security team.
The room was clean and no frills. Basic amenities were provided. I love the hair dryer, it was a good one for a 3 stars hotel. The only downside was the pillow. On the 1st night, I was restless, because of the pillow. It was in between firm and soft, very odd. I woke up with stiff neck and shoulders. Sleeping without the pillow was even better than using one. I hope in the future, they would consider other type of pillow.
My room was facing the carpark of the Mercure Hotel next door. Since it was the World Cup season, every night I could hear loud cheers. Not sure from the Quest's side or from the Mercure's side. The room was not soundproof.
The stay here was part of 'my quest' for the meaning of life. I think it's 'you only live once'. When I first arrived at the room, it smelled a bit like the Indonesian herbal massage oil (found the English term for this online — Bee brand medicated oil). I didn't mind the smell at all tho — in fact I quite like it. Had chicken satays (ordered for the medium size as there were only 'medium' and 'small' — the 'medium' was more like large! ), a bowl of tom yum goong and a cup of americano. Dinner cost IDR 150K. All in all, it was a great stay. The hotel offered a lot for a three-star (whoever did the 'starring') hotel.

Spacious and clean room, but my room AC and door lock did not work properly so I had to move to different room. Breakfast was okay, Could have had better option since almost everyday they serve fried rice and fried noodle with a littlw diffwrent variety. After 2 days I have had enough and no longer had appetite.
