We loved this hotel! We only stayed one night but they let us hang around the property all day after checking out since we had a red eye flight. The restaurant is excellent and we ate 4 meals there!

Perfect for a pre or post airport stay. Lovely grounds and pool with very professional and friendly staff. Nice vegan options for breakfast and dinner also.

La Terraza was wonderful! Their staff are friendly and accommodating, the meals were amazing and the views were breathtaking.

I love this place so much, I've become a long-term renter. Ronald and Illyana work so hard, and Damaris is the best housekeeper. Breakfast is fresh and made to order.

We just spent 4 nights at Sangregado and it was absolutely perfect. It's directly opposite the Mistico Hanging Bridges inside the national park.

We were so fortunate to stay at this wonderful resort tucked away in the mountains and forest across from one of the premier tourist attractions that visitors to La Fortuna visit: Mistico Park.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at Amor Arenal! The property is incredibly gorgeous, and each casita is private and beautifully landscaped.

We spent the first half of our honeymoon at this resort. First — the staff and service was second to none. They did an amazing job setting our room up for our honeymoon.

Truly amazing resort in the Arenal area of Costa Rica. Can not recommend it enough. Rooms were exquisite, with volcano heated plunge pool on the porch.

This hotel is beautiful and has all the amenities for a relaxing vacation. We enjoyed Acacia restaurant and the room service. The beds were so comfortable, and the rooms were very clean.

Hideaway Rio Celeste is pure paradise. Every detail feels intentional, from the breathtaking grounds and serene rooms to the extraordinary people who bring the place to life.

All the other reviews are true. This is one of the best properties you can stay at. If you’re coming to La fortuna no need to keep searching, book this place.

The chaos of the city but the grounds are just magical.

Okay so we stayed here during uncommonly wet weather which under normal circumstances would kill any holiday but… it was still simply perfect.

Spent two nights and well worth the winding adventure to get there from San Jose. The boat ride to the lodge was a nice touch.

We recently stayed six nights at Maquenque Eco Lodge and every aspect of this wonderful place was fantastic!

Stayed here 4-nights and had an incredible time. Truly felt like a resort. Gorgeous views of the volcano. Several private hot springs at the hotel. Saw iguanas, birds, grasshoppers, and an agouti!

This resort was amazing. It was clean, had beautiful views, lush Gardens, Hot Springs, and to top it off the staff was wonderful.

The little cabins where very nice and large with a giant bathroom and big shower. There property is gorgeous with so many plants and flowers.

Such a beautiful place. Clean and spacious room, comfortable beds, lovely pool and the grounds are so lush.

It's not a four star experience, so don't expect that and if you want all inclusive this is not the place for you.

I stayed at this hotel a couple years ago and still remember it fondly! The beautiful grounds in particular are the best part — the pool, the gardens, and the views!

We just visited again in 2026, hoping it would be as wonderful as our 2015 trip. We were not disappointed! We love the size and relaxed approach of this place. The cabinas are attractive and spacious.

We had a terrific visit at the Tilajari Hotel & Resort. We stayed for three days and enjoyed the beautifully manicured grounds. The hotel pool and ho tub were amazing.

Excellent resort with staff, particularly Harvey, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Accommodations were very comfortable — spacious and extremely clean.

Undoubtedly the nicest stay we have ever had. The location is favorable, the individual cabins are beautiful and well kept with amazing greenery, creating a tranquil atmosphere.

This was a wonderful hotel. The view is amazing. The service was so good, from the front desk staff, to the bellboys, the spa staff and the servers. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

This hotel was above what we expected. Even though our room didn't have a microwave and a refrigerator, the accommodations were very nice. The entire facility is clean and well maintained.

Hotel is clean and very close by the airport with a free shuttle service running every 20 minutes. There is a Dennys, Casino and Car Rental place in the same plaza.

I am SO grateful to the staff at this hotel. I had fractured both my wrists at the airport and spent the day in the ER. Boy did I choose the right hotel!

Xandari’s grounds are sooo beautiful. The hiking trails are very nice and I loved the waterfalls as well. I saw many workers attending the property and they kept it very clean.

We spent two nights and three days at this resort before driving to La Fortuna. The facilities were very clean, and the grounds were beautifully maintained.

Pura Vida Hotel is a little oasis in Alajuela: lush tropical gardens, peaceful paths, and charming individual guest houses that are spotless and very comfortable.

This will be our landing spot anytime we fly into San Jose. It is absolutely stunning to be in such a beautiful garden in the heart of the city. The owners may be the kindest people in Costa Rica.
