We absolutely LOVED being spoiled and pampered at Nayara Gardens for our anniversary! From the moment we were picked up in private transport from the airport to the moment we were transported back, our expectations were completely exceeded. There seem to be more staff (100% fully vaccinated) than guests which made it feel like you were the only ones being catered to at the resort. They were all kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming! “Pura Vida” and “con mucho gusto” were 2 phrases we heard the most of. Everyone went out of their way to get you anything you could ask for. The housekeepers were absolutely amazing and went out of their way to be thoughtful. It seemed like the room was straightened up every time we left. The turndown service was also exceptional. We did multiple excursions off of the resort, but one of our favorite activities offered at the resort was the Mixology class with Steven. Such a great time! We also enjoyed the coffee and chocolate pairing course the resort offered. There are 3 properties (Gardens, Springs, and Tents), but they share the same land, so guests have access to the amenities at all of them. All of the accommodations are individual casitas and villas, so it was very peaceful and private. They are located in the rainforest and are very intentional about preserving the local flora and fauna. It felt like we were guests in nature’s home which was great! We enjoyed just walking around and enjoying how beautiful the property is.

My husband and I stayed for a week in August 2021. It was amazing from the very first moment to the very last moment. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a trio of petite cocktails prepared by the incomparable Steven (see him at the La Terraza bar most nights for a show with every drink! ) Steven is an artist at what he does and is extremely personable to boot. Steven had some competition at the Kali Kali swim up bar though. Lupita made the most beautiful concoction — very fresh and very affordable during the daily happy hour! We took a nature tour with Yahayra one morning and she found us all sorts of animals around the grounds and we got amazing photos out of the tour. The daily complimentary breakfasts were out of this world. Get the gallo pinto and whatever stew they might have that day. The room service and nightly turn down service never ceased to surprise (forget chocolates on your pillow, you get whole desserts! ) The concierge was staffed with incredible people who made sure we always left satisfied and with a smile. In fact, we had to leave very early, before breakfast, to catch our flight home and they made sure we left with boxed breakfasts! Every day we are not there I miss Nayara.

We arrived on May 14 for a 4-night stay in Rainforest Villa 34, and I have to say: We have traveled extensively throughout South Asia, Europe, Canada, Mexico and the US. In addition to incredible amenities and exceptional lodging, this is the finest customer service, by far, we’ve experienced anywhere in the world. The attention to detail is amazing, & every single staff member with whom we’ve interacted has been eagerly friendly and helpful. It’s no surprise to me, now, that Nayara Gardens rates so highly as a travel destination in this part of the world. The management here is setting a standard for the industry that I wish more companies would emulate. I can’t praise them enough. We leave tomorrow for Manuel Antonio, and I’m wishing we’d planned a longer stay here. —Philip W.

I love this place. Everyone was on point and nothing went wrong. It was perfect. The staff is mainly the reason for this. They are genuine in their words and nothing seems fake when they talk to us. Actually, I’m still here! BOOK HERE NOW!

Excellent hotel, when in Arenal area and you want to really splurge stay in this hotel. Literally everything is luxurious and outstanding — especially the thermal pools in an scenic atmosphere!

Great hotel resort with 5 excellent restaurants, superb home roasted coffee (in the separate Espresso Bar), amazing villas and a Management that motivates its staff to make the holiday for each guest special! We were amazed, loved it and will certainly get back!

This place is truly a little bit of paradise. My wife & I went for our honeymoon 2 years ago, and loved it so much that we just came back from our 2nd visit. It proved to be every bit as magical as our 1st — — the manager & several of the staff remembered us, and made us feel truly welcomed as if we were coming "home". The grounds, staff, and accommodations were all simply outstanding. We can hardly wait until we're able to go on visit — highly recommended.

The stay for our honeymoon was absolutely incredible! Very friendly & welcoming from the moment we arrived and stepped out of the car. The food was amazing. The drinks were great. The staff were helpful and always in a good mood; you can tell they all love their jobs! this is definitely the resort to stay at if you’re visiting Costa Rica. We will be back! The most beautiful grounds — the most friendly, helpful staff-

So romantic. Private pool at Villa. Staff are so nice. We are world travelers and my husband says this is the most beautiful place on earth. Everyone should come here.

Amazing staff. Amazing food. Amazing rooms. Wonderful activities, amenities and opportunities. We honeymooned here and it was the best choice ever. I cannot wait until we can go back. New visitors should know though that unless you have a car you have once shuttle that goes into town in the morning and beyond that you have to pay for transport. Still a great place.

I’ve been fortunate to have been all over the world and have stayed at some great resorts. Nayara blows them all away. The beauty and attention to detail was second to none. They display pure professionalism, and genuine interest in their customers. If you happen to take a day tour with children request Anna she was amazing with my daughter. 10/10 would stay again.

Amazing experience. Would come back here in a heartbeat. Super friendly front desk staff. They are so accommodating and have thought of everything to ensure you have the best stay. We LOVED Sharon. She made us a delicious chemex coffee. It was just the best experience staying here. Will never forget it.

This is by far the best hotel we've stayed in ever. The staff are courteous and speak English. We had a Rainforest Villa and it was breathtaking from the view to the dual indoor and dual outdoor showers. The food on site is some of the best we've eaten and there's so much variety you will not get bored. I could go on and on but we absolutely loved it and are planning to come back. If you come to Costa Rica make sure you stay at Nayara.

Everything was amazing here. Not even a coat hanger was askew here. Everyone was super friendly and all the amenities for just incredible. They have this ingenious system in which you insert your dorky into a slot when you enter your villa which in turn turns on the lights and lets them know that you’re in your villa. Allowing them to come to your room and turn down the bed at night or replace towels or replace the beer or snacks which are free here. I could go on forever about how great this place was seriously the best place I’ve ever stayed.

We love everything about Nayara Resort Spa & Gardens. The lush landscaping, pools, gym, spa, restaurants, views, room, and how welcoming and friendly the staff was! We have been many times to Arenal/Fortuna and by far this has been our best vacation here!

A beautiful place in the midst of nature!
It has the best gourmet restaurant called ALTAMIRA, in charge of its Chef Gerardo Méndez, of the prestigious great French chain reread Chateaux, prepares worthy dishes of the royalty! Very organic and high quality. The wines are wonderful and the service insurmountable! The hotel is very romantic and private. Special to share with your husband! ♥ ♥

Most amazing place ever! The rooms are amazing the staff is amazing the food is amazing! If you ever get a chance to stay here, please do! You will not be disappointed! I think the staff made the stay twice as enjoyable, everyone was sincerely nice and would go out of their way for You! The breakfast buffet is amazing and they even have sandwiches and snacks for you to take on your hikes and excursions!

Amazing resort, especially for couples! There's three pools, 4 restaurants, and a wine bar. The rooms are nice, and ours included an outdoor shower and jacuzzi! Don't miss the views of the volcano and local wild life! Friendly and accommodating staff!

Definitely lives up to the awards it has received. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful. There are so many activities to do, which were all great. We did the night frog tour and the wildlife refuge center; they were private tours for your group, which is really nice, and they drive you in a private car with water to drink if needed. The spa indescribable! You get a great massage to the live sounds of frogs and rain. The bfast buffet is superb with made to order eggs, crepes or waffles depending on the day, fresh squeezed juices, fresh coconut water, a wide range of fruits, etc. And the rooms were great with relaxing private patios and outdoor showers.

Very, very nice hotel with excellent service (rooms, food, ride service, Reception! ), exclusive rooms with private huge whirlpool. However, very expensive as far as food and wine are concerned. But otherwise the plant is just class, her exquisite!

This was a first for us. We feel so fortunate to have found this paradise. Food and drinks and service very upscale and inviting, we just so happened to Run I to an angel. Alexander is truly one of the kindest people we have ever encircled. Kind is not descriptive enough Alexander made us feel special like we had a personal guide! If he found a new critter he would come to show us, he stayed an hour after work showing us his beautiful Nayara, one of the most special people ever our private villa was breath taking we had tropical greenery surrounding our villa and views of the volcano. We wanted to stay longer. Nayara is a slice of heaven!

We just checked in and having a drink while waiting for our room to get ready. What a fabulous landscaped property at the base of the volcano. I'm so glad that we chose this place to stay!

The staff are very polite and helpful. A great service is the waiter top up of water when you're by the pool. Having dehydrated once in just 3 hours here in east Costa Rica. Water on demand was a real bonus. Of course the two for one same drink cocktail is optional additional fluid. All the restaurants served very good food. The chalet was fabulous.

You cant believe this place until you visit. The staff, the gardens, the casitas and villas are all top notch. The staff make you feel right at home in the rain forest. 5 upscale places to eat on site with some of the best food we had in Costa rica. Enjoy Volcano views or hunt wildlife in the trees you just cant go wrong with this place.

The American luxury, the whole staff is charming.

Very romantic place, hidden in a beautiful mountain, surrounded by the most spectacular jungle, all sorts of plants and exotic animals. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a very courteous staff, our casita was very private and quiet, I loved the surrounding nature, you can get killed there nobody will know until the maid shows up the next day, lol, that's how private it is, the casitas a very far away from eachother, huge bathroom almost half of the size of the casita, it has an outside shower as well our kid enjoyed it. There is another hotel for adults only kids not allowed, belive me I understand. If you are lazy they'll provide you with golf cart for transportation to the lobby, restaurants, spa, gym. It's a huge place with many hills, you'll need help finding amenities. The food was delicious.

Wow, what an amazing place. From the moment we entered the reception area to being taken to our Villa by golf cart to entering our room. Definitely does not disappoint. Unbelievable room and amenities. First hours here and can wait to see what tomorrow brings. The wine bar at Nostalgia is remarkable. I can not say enough about this resort and we just got here.

Came here for my Honeymoon and it was nothing short of AMAZING. The people, the food, the atmosphere, the pool connected to our room, the drinks on and on. This place was a dream vacation. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away, relax, and have a great time.

Amazing place! Hotel that creates experiences.

We have been at Nayara Hotel Spa &Gardens for just over two weeks and I will take home with me one of the most memorable trips of my life. The hotel itself is simply beautiful, made more so by the wonderful people who work here. We have had several private tours with Ana and driver Josue and have not only learned so much but had so much fun with them and truly grown to love Costa Rica. I think I will be leaving a little piece of my heart here. Lastly we were fortunate to meet Angelo, one of the owners and got to spend sometime with him, an interesting and genuinely warm, funny host but hold onto your umbrella.

Oh, my, god, Becky. What an amazing hotel! This was the first stop on our Honeymoon in Costa Rica. The hotel was picked by our lovely Costa Rican travel agent. She chose correctly! I don't have the best pictures of the place as we were experiencing more than documenting but really it was soooo wonderful. We had a very large room with spring fed plunge pool. There were indoor and outdoor showers. The mini bar is free and is restocked daily. There's even alcohol in the room that we were encouraged to take daily to receive replenishment! (we didn't but appreciated the information. ) All of the restaurants on the hotel grounds were delicious. We requested a Taxi one evening to go to town and had dinner there. The staff is immensely helpful and will cater to your every whim. The swim up bar pool was super fun and I appreciated we didn't have to pay extra for a covered cabana. I cannot suggest going to Nayara Springs enough. Just writing this makes me want to go back.

My boyfriend and I stayed here as the last stop on our journey touring Costa Rica. We were met with a friendly welcome after white water rafting at Rio Balsa all day. The Rainforest Villa was beautiful and very clean. The jacuzzi and pool areas were secluded and wonderful for relaxation. Overall, the hotel grounds, and accommodations were fantastic. Our only issue with this hotel was the less than desirable service we encountered during a 'Seafood Night' at Altamira Restaurant. The host was abrupt and downright rude when we asked to be seated. The structure of the buffet/made-to-order seafood night as well as the pricing was unclear and unorganized. Also, my boyfriend has a gluten allergy with the staff readily accommodated, which was very helpful and even went so far as to put together a gluten free to-go breakfast on the morning of our check-out. Overall, this resort is lovely and romantic. However, I felt that the service was inconsistent. Michelle.

This is the nicest resort I have ever stayed at. The service was second to none. The villas were incredible. The wife and I loved the plunge pool. If you have a little extra cash the villas are worth it. The resort and Costa Rica as a whole we're an incredible experience. I would recommend for anyone to come here and get spoiled for a few days.

I wish that I could give this place more than a 5 star review. It was absolutely amazing. My husband and I are on our honeymoon and stayed here for 3 nights during our trek through Costa Rica. We were shown around by Francisco, who was a delight and pleasure for the remainder of our stay. Not only were we greeted with a bottle of champagne, but also our room was decorated towards making us feel special about being on our honeymoon. The room was absolutely amazing. We used our private outdoor shower every day. The food was the best that we had in Costa Rica. The workers, Alejandra, William and Claudia, were just simply amazing — and they remembered our names every time we went for a meal. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful. The view of Arenal volcano is amazing. We even met the owner and he was incredibly kind. I could write a novel about how much We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this place to everyone I know.

This is the best hotel we stayed at in Costa Rica. The staff were absolutely incredible and exceptionally accommodating. The villas were stunning! The pool with the walk up bar was great and the staff regularly refreshed the towels and brought water (and cocktails if you ordered them). We only ate at the main restaurant, but it was very good (breakfast was a huge spread! ). The grounds of the resort are quite large and beautiful to walk around. I love that the villas had hammocks to lounge in and the outdoor shower was a very nice addition.

There are so many activities, day trips, and excursions in the area that you are probably going to be on the go constantly. Make sure you plan a day or 2 to spend solely at the resort because it's wonderful and relaxing. The Casitas were amazing, I spent much a time on the deck, hammock, and in the jet tub. Bed faced balcony (with views of Arenal-though clouded most of the time… get up at sunrise at least one morning to catch an un-clouded view of the peak). Great food, albeit pricey, with beautiful grounds, hidden sanctuaries, and friendly staff.

Just spent my one year wedding anniversary at Nayara Springs. It was in the middle of may (start of rainy season) but the weather was spectacular. The staff, hotel amenities and restaurants and tropical experience are second to none. Thank you Nayara for the great memories. As a great future philosopher once said… "I'll be back. ", terminator.

Hotel amazing, fully integrated into the forest. Ls rooms are spectacular, no doubt the best hotel. Food varied, very helpful staff, great location, highly recommended.

Fantastic! Friendly service and accommodating staff. We stayed in a Villa. It compares well with the best in the world. The food was great and the ambiance exceptional. A good "go to place" for a relaxing and invigorating beak.

How does this resort only have one review? This place was perfect for my wife and I. We were on our honeymoon and you could not ask for a more romantic setting. Rooms were amazing, our view was amazing and the service was amazing.

We stayed here during our honeymoon. This was by far the best out of the 4 hotels we stayed at. Incredible service, beautiful grounds, wonderful food. There are plenty of excursions in the area to keep you busy. We visited the spa and had a great experience. I would recommend this for a couple/honeymooners as it is very romantic.
