We stayed as 2 couples in this B&B as the place I normally stay in Madrid was fully booked.

This is our second time staying at this hotel.

In April we had a one week stay at Catalonia Puerta del Sol in Madrid. The hotel is very well located. It’s on Calle Atocha, but our street facing room was still quiet.

Wonderful stay. Everything was perfect. Great location just a few minutes walk from Plaza Major. Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby and a couple of minutes walk from a metro stop.

I stayed at VP Plaza España, and it was an incredible experience. The hotel staff and room cleaners were nice, polite, and very helpful.

Great location on a quieter street right between Plaza Mayor and Puerta Sol. We stayed in a terrace room for three nights. The room was nice and the bed was comfy.

This hotel was excellent! We went for our anniversary and they had a nice dessert nd hand written note prepared in our room when we arrived.

Very positive — the location is excellent, close to the Metro and a lively neighbourhood on the doorstep with many bars/restaurants.

Hotel is is well located — Bilbao stop is just around the corner, modern, with a clean and fashionable rooms with a huge bad.

I loved this hotel and would likely book it again on my next trip to Madrid. Walking distance to the Plaza Mayor, Museo del Prado, Plaza del Sol, Royal Palace of Madrid, etc. Etc.

Nice place to stay especially for the price. Great location between a few metro lines, making it easy to get anywhere in Madrid. The room was comfortable and big.

Excellent location, very nice remodeled rooms and bathrooms. Also smoke free environment. Most of the local downtown attractions are at walking distance, no more than 15 minutes.

The location of the hotel is outstanding. It was so easy to walk to all the most interesting sites and museums, and I loved being able to pop back in as needed without a long trek.

Very good hotel, situated On Gran Via, a very central street full of stores and restaurants. The metro station is just in front of the hotel entrance.

Perfect location, we mainly used the hotel for sleeping, we did not try breakfast and restaurant, but very nice check in and check out.

The location is great, very convenient transportation-wise (metro stop and taxi stand right across the hotel entrance on Plaza St Isabel and the Opera) and totally walkable to most major sites,

My husband and I and 2 friends stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. We all thought it was a lovely hotel. Everywhere was spotless. The general toilet on first floor was spotless and smelt divine.

We stayed 3 nights over a busy holiday week end. It has a great location, it's near everything. Opera Metro station, Grand Via, Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace.

We had an amazing stay at the Room Mate Macarena Hotel, but the real highlight of our trip was the incredible rooftop bar team.

Great hotel for a short stay. Basic, clean and great location. If I was to stay again I'd ask for a higher floor as I was on the first floor at the front so it was fairly noisy!

Excellent hotel in the heart of Madrid, perfectly located on Gran Vía. This is my second time staying at this hotel, and once again the experience was outstanding.

So this is the 3rd time I stayed here, twice previously for business.
There was a noise coming from the shower which meant we had to report twice for it to be fixed.

Excellent service! All the staff were very helpful and attentive. Wonderful view outside our balcony. Large shower was wonderful. Would certainly stay again! It's very walkable and great location.

My husband and I stayed one night in our trip to Spain/Portugal. The location is excellent for walking to the palace and cathedral as well as plenty of shopping and restaurants.

Excellent location; half an hour to/from the airport, five minute walk to Sol Metro Station or Atochas Train Station. Food, entertainment, shopping, site seeing all right there.

Wonderful hotel! What truly makes it special is the location and the staff, especially Gustavo, who helped us so much and made us feel very comfortable during our stay.

The suite was great: very spacious. The location was amazing and the staff were brilliant. There was a problem on our first night but the maintenance team arrived within twenty minutes to sort it out.

The experience was excellent and we are very satisfied.
