Mayerling is a gem of a hotel as far of location w very attentive service. Rooms are small and very clean perfect for young persons but it is hard to move around if you any physical impairment there is only one handycap room which they usually don't rent to keep up with the law. In the same street there are many trendy stores and you can walk to any major plaza. So if you're are looking for an inexpensive hotel with excellent atmosphere do not look any further.

Minimalist bedroom whitout desk or wardrobe. The electric tram resonates periodically in the rooms. Very central location.

Clean room, friendly staff, excellent (and free) coffee machine next to reception.

For a short stay, I don't know better hotel, by location, and value for money. Very central and with the possibility to walk to many places in the center of Madrid with total comfort. Very clean and the best staff: super-attentive! Recommended 100%. It just needs that it doesn't have a garage to make it perfect.

Good price for 1-2 star (s) hotel at a good location and helpful staff. Easy access to metro and laundry service with plenty of restaurants nearby. If you are a women there are plenty of shopping.

Modern decor, good, simple breakfast and easy location to get to when you want to be near the subway. The service was awesome and my room was cool. Clean, and the shower had a see-thru wall that was a great way to watch TV while soaping myself.

Nice and original hotel, clean and well kept, very well placed close to Puerta del Sol and place major, museums and Via Grande,,, (for shopping). The place is very lively even in the evening in January! Nice and friendly staff. Special Mention for Abel, speaking French, his advice on restaurants and interesting places helped us well. Not to mention its kindness that we enjoyed. Good breakfast

Best kept secret in popular — central Madrid area (near Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor etc) – great — convenient location — walking distance to all of the major Madrid attractions. The Mayerling is super clean, modern, updated; including daily house keeping, free breakfast (and not just pastries) ; safe with 24 hour front desk service. Henry and Able were so helpful in many ways. The hotel is on a busy street so you will hear some road / outdoor noise, but the hotel itself is quiet. It was a gamble selecting a hotel as a first time traveler to Spain / Madrid, but I feel I hit the jackpot for location, cleanliness, value and safety. I highly recommend Mayerling Hotel if you are looking for a comfortable place to sleep. It is not a 5-star hotel offering tons of amenities, but who needs amenities when there is so much to do outdoors all day and evening. I will definitely go back to Mayerling if I visit Madrid again.

Simple and modern Hotel. Good bed and room amenities. Very well located to walk through the center of Madrid and its neighborhoods: next to the letters and foot showers and 5 min of sunshine. Very friendly in the deal.

Very nice staff, great location, very thorough housekeeping, cool design everywhere — really liked the showers. Had a great view. Air con not working too well and the bed was a very big minus — it would’ve gotten a 5 Star, if it had had a proper queen size bed and not two beds pushed together.

Hotel located in the center of Madrid, very close to the main centers of interest such as the Plaza Mayor, Mercado San Miguel, Puerta del Sol, Cuchilleros Street, Cava Baja and not far from the royal palace and Almudena Cathedral. The Hotel was very clean and comfortable.

It is cozy and modern hotel. I like their breakfasts. Rooms were clean and fresh. There is shower with transparent glass wall)

Good location. Friendly staff. At bedtime, impossible. You hear everything from the street as if you were out of the room. The window didn't fit well and the price uneconomic.

Hotel is located in an absolutely ideal location. Just steps from plaza mayor and San Miguel market. It is also steps away from the metro. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast and food amenities are delicious and available all day, including coffee bar. The room was comfortable with a large window. The only negative was construction going on outside, but if course the hotel is not to blame for that. Would definitely stay here again!

It is well located, in Tirso de Molina, and is clean. Quality-price ratio justified.

Superbly located in the heart of Madrid, friendly, clean, free cafeteria on the ground floor accessible throughout the day. Hotel offers excellent value for money as long as the visitor is more sensitive to the effectiveness of the accommodation to the refined luxury of the palace. Chic and basic are excellent qualifiers who don't remove anything to the quality of my appreciation (4 nights from June 3 to June 6, 2014).

Hotel with an innovative concept but humble and affordable to all over the world. I loved the idea of the self-service in the kitchen 24 hours a day and the amount of detail that many other hotels don't take care and here are very well thought out. I was only a day but I was eager to come back soon. Located between the Footpath and the Puerta del Sol next to the metro stop Tirso de Molina.

This very well. Nice comfortable and cheap. Right in the centre near the puerta del sol, plaza mayor… Attentive, friendly and educated workers. A pleasure!

Very well located. The standard rooms but comfortable. The breakfast buffet, nothing out of this world, but I liked the idea of the bar and the fridge, it was like being at home… the treatment very good recommended!
