Pick up/drop off zone is now £3 it has been like this now for a while but it is a joke when in the past it was free, then £1 now £3! The best place to park is not in the airport but down the road at in2 car parks. The airport itself is good, it's relatively stress free, there is a lift and escalator to the top floor to get to security and is very wheelchair friendly. There are a number of places to eat in there but bear in mind they are like every other airport and very expensive, best place is past Borger king and down the steps, turn left and there's a place to eat there, last time I went it was a good deal on breakfast. Shops, there are a few shops not loads but suitable for the size of the airport, duty free isn't as cheap as it use to be but you can get all your Fragrances, Alcohol and Tobacco there. Security, the security here is a lot smaller than the likes of Manchester airport, due to it being smaller a smaller airport don't under estimate the time it will take you to get through security. Priority/fast pass is normally pretty quite so if you are planning on cutting it fine, then i suggest you pay for this to jump to queue. However sometime this queue is long too so give yourself enough time. There are plenty of seating areas and towards gates 30/40 there is a smoking area but also it's pretty quite down that end so I always grab a seat there and chill out for a bit.

This is a lovely airport. The not so good stuff first. Most important, do not stop on any double-red lines as automatic fines are issued. The drop off/pick up car park opposite the terminal has a £3 charge. However there is a free drop off/pick up car park a short distance away. If you have travelled across the new Mersey Gateway bridge there is a £2 toll which is paid over the phone with the number displayed around the airport. It is operated by an ANPR system so it’s easy to miss. If not paid a fine is issued and it’s really not the airports fault. Finally I advise against using off site parking. The good stuff. The airport is pleasant and the Departure Lounge very modern and clean with plenty of shops and places to eat. It’s a personal thing but it is my airport of choice and is covering more and more routes.

Easy to navigate as quite small. Other than Burger King food VERY expensive. Staff helpful. 1 sterling charge for 2 plastic bags for your liquids through security so make sure to bring your own. Smoking area at gate 40 after security. Handy if your delayed. Overall a pleasant experience.

In 2012, I remember whilst waiting for my flight with my parents, grandparents and 2 brothers and sister. Stopped in Burger King and in the burgers you can just taste cow in there. Don't get food from here. Despite that, it is actually okay as it is small with not so many flights departing but more routes should be added. I think that Manchester is a better airport than Liverpool but Liverpool have better flight times.

We travelled home to Cork from Liverpool 9/7/2018. I have to commend all staff involved. One of our party fell ill in the restaurant located in the departure lounge. The waitress acted calmly and quickly. She called a guy who I assumed was the restaurant manager and he in turn responded quickly and attended to my colleague until airport medic arrived. He kept our group informed and the waitress checked in on us regularly. Medic and airport manager arrived and vitals regularly checked. They arranged, if necessary for transfer of flight to the next available flight 3 days later for 2 people, should it be necessary. Thankfully colleague improved sufficiently to take the short flight home. The restaurant even took the two untouched meals off the bill. I'm sorry that I don't know the names of all involved.. But a massive thank you for your care and professionalism. It will not be forgotten.

The easiest airport to leave from in the UK in my experience. Departures and Arrivals are well-signposted, the staff are calm and attentive and the processing is efficient. Like all airports the parking is pricey but there is an excellent bus service to and from the city centre for a low cost.

Long wait to pass the controls: a single queue for passing with babies and baby bottles (longest tail, totally illogical! ) bottle of water forbidden for babies, water to put in the bottle. Paid zipped plastics (£1 2 bags) Few places to sit without consuming in the boarding room.
Only positive point: long-term parking with very economical Internet registration and very close to the airport.

The airport is not bad either as a facility or as services offered. But the organization should be improved. For visitors who arrive for the first time it is not very easy to move and get to the center. Guides could be added to better assist newcomers, taking the example from London airport. For those who work there I could say one thing: 2 suitcases broken on 6 is not a good result, maybe you should work on.

It's a good airport, but I wish they had more flights around the world. It's great going to places like Berlin, Krakow, any cities in Europe. But all I see is connecting flights. I think Manchester airport is better for flights around the globe. Go here of you want a cheap trip to Europe.

Two weeks ago, my boyfriend treated me to a weekend break in Amsterdam for my birthday. We ate in the airport; two burgers, a wine and a beer for £45! The chicken burger I ordered was pink through the middle; I didn't notice until I was halfway through and the staff did issue a refund for the one burger. However, I spent a lot of my weekend running back and forward to the bathroom … Not the weekend I was hoping for. Despite the airports complaint policy stating that all complaints would be responded to WITHIN ONE DAY, it took three emails and 6 days before I got a response. This was just to tell me that my email would be passed to the appropriate person. 12 days since my original email and I am still to hear back from the airport! Very disappointed with the service!

Long stay parking is near the airport. You can walk it easily. That is good. Small airport so actually a good selection of food outlets. Best is possibly Frank and Bents but you pass this early on before getting to the other outlets. The bad is the baggage reclaim. Waited 50 minutes.

John Lennon would not like this airport. It blows chunks. But in all seriousness, it organized terribly. The whole thing feels like an after thought. When you arrive you have to pay 3£ to drop your bags close to the terminal. You seem to have to walk for a very long time due to in efficiency. The waiting area is terrible. There is a small food section with no variety. The boarding gate feels like a cattle holding container. A terrible experience. Improvements can be made but it would require bulldozers and a major attitude adjustment.

Airport is OK… Better after security… The easyjet agent at the gate was horrible. She would be better off working in a prison or a drill camp. Look out for a big overweight blonde and ugly easyJet agent. She makes threats about the size of your hand baggage, trying to get you to put it under the aircraft hold. If you don't volunteer, you are forced to pay to take it with you on the plane. Very unfriendly and pushy! Other than that, the flight to Amsterdam was great.

Total fail at the car park yesterday. None of the gates for the express area working, 4 attendants trying to help to no avail. Queues were huge to get out. When something like this happens, just open the gates until you have it working, no amount of parking revenue is worth the damage to your reputation.

Easy airport to use. Some airline staff bordering on rude — unfortunately that's what you seemingly get with the low-cost airlines. The other staff within the airport are helpful and friendly. Passport control is excellent and general security seems to be in order for most potential incidents. Once through security there are a number of shop and cafe bars. Not much choice and typically at airport pricing. All in a all a small, but increasing in passenger volume, airport. Parking for drop-off and pick-up is easy with further facilities for short and long term.

This is a relatively small airport which is a good thing in terms of checking in and going from point A to B, however it's also very effective. Lots of shops and new places still coming up (not updated yet on maps). Security is fast, toilets available in short distance. Rapid updates. Wheelchair accessible. The bus service to city is also great with different options.

What a terrible place-only interested in how much they can fleece their customers. On entry to the airport by road there are signs warning of a penalty of £100 if you stop on the (usually deserted) road. This is to force you to pay the £3 drop off charge. They are even charging off airport carpark operators extra for buses to the Airport. Prices in the Airport are sky high. But how about this for extreme money making. Normally if you do not want to pay rip off prices for water you take an empty bottle through and fill it after security. Liverpool Airport have thought of this-there is only hot water available! With the new £2 tolls on the Runcorn Bridge as well I intend to use Manchester Airport instead

Although staff were friendly the hotel wasn't good. A £30 deposit had to be paid which I have never had to do in other Holiday Inns. The room was basic but clean. Not enough towels for all the guests in the room. Similarly not enough tea/coffee for everyone to have a cup. A very unexpected and definitely unneeded wake up call at 630 where some sort of alarm on the TV had gone off! Breakfast was, well a total mismatch of whatever was left from the weekend before. Traditional cooked breakfast consisted of beans and sausages. No jam/marmalade for toast… not that I was using a toaster with a broken cable anyway. No orange juice… a slightly iffy latte and stale cornflakes! All in all I will not be staying here again!

Worst holiday Inn I've ever stayed at. I understand that as an express it is cut down and the the weekend I went prices were inflated due to demand however. For the £139 I paid I received a double room with a sofa bed (not twin as requested) sofa bed was very uncomfortable. And the "complimentary" breakfast was sausage (that were horrible) scrambled egg (that was watery) and baked beans (that were cold) watery orange or apple juice. Consumer grade toaster (not conveyor) and the coffee machine by the end of breakfast didn't actually have any coffee in it or milk and was just hot milky water by the time I'd added the milk. £89 normal price would not pay that for this. Would NOT recommend

Unfortunately bed really uncomfortable so no decent sleep and shower freezing! Hot Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs pretty disappointing for a person with egg allergy (we were told supplier had not deliver that day so could be better on other occasions) but the Toby a two minute walk away do a lovely all you can eat breakfast for just £4 so so would recommend checking it out for breakfast rather than hotel. Bar food really good quality which is available for lunch and dinner.

Tried my patrner surname and low and behold there it was but I'd only added as guest name so panic overstillno smile greeting. Got to the room basic very clean only two tea bags three milk a coffee sachets so they didn't want you to go too mad. Bed wasn't comfortable. The breakfast included was basic again just three hot choices a bit if fruit and cereals toast jams etc. Overalls won't stay again so it was ok As a stop over

Had a quick, one-night stay at this hotel before catching an early flight in the AM. No problems. Comfortable bed, decent shower, nice breakfast in the morning. I walked here from the airport (and back in the morning) and it took about 20 minutes. I didn't have any luggage (aside from a laptop bag), but if I did, a cab or catching a bus would have been a better choice. Didn't have much interaction with staff, but all were friendly upon check in/check out.

Terrible staff. And not just one. All four that I dealt with were simply awful service people. We were put into a room with a broken toilet — an issue known to staff when we checked in I later discovered. It took three trips down the lobby to finally get us put into a different room. Our new room was comfortable and clean (aside from the hand prints on the wall above the sofa — the previous guests had obviously had fun), but the staff really spoiled this experience for us.
