Absolutely beautiful rooms and service and includes tea coffee and more snacks.

Lovely old Georgian style hotel. Service and restaurant highly recommended though confusion over the use of the car park when my son parked his car while we had lunch resulted in the car park company issuing him a fine which caused us some upset. This has now been resolved but it took 2 months!

Hotel is tired but comfortable. There are no lifts so anyone with mobility problems would be advised to contact the hotel and request a ground floor room. Dinner in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. We hadn't booked breakfast but this was available for an extra £10 each when checking in. Rooms like the rest of the hotel are comfortable but do require a little bit of tlc. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to the airport which is less than 10 minutes away.

Absolutely recommended for the price and in the immediate vicinity of the airport. The rooms are a bit old but it is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I am fully satisfied with my stay here.

Great overnight stay, prior to catching a flight. Comfortable bed, clean room, nice ambiance. Free minibus over to the airport, the following morning. Toppa driver.

Don't let the classic look on the outside decieve you, the accommodations inside are very modern, spacious and comfortable. Not quite walking distance to the airport but very convenient, and you can find them on the courtesy telephone inside the terminal. Shuttle services stop after 10 p. M.

My sons wedding here which was lovely lots of us stayed overnight only problem for me being on my own was my room was miles away took well over 5/7 minutes to get there was no where near my family who was all located closer… Apart from that the experience was wonderful food great fantastic breakfast… drinks overpriced but that's normal for hotels… the majority of the staff were great… overall great.

What a lovely hotel this is… Staff are lovely and very attentive, nothing is too much trouble for them x xxx My sis and I had afternoon tea there and it was absolutely lovely xxx So fresh and the champagne was a treat for the tastebuds. Thanks to all the staff xxx.

Stayed for one night before my flight. Hotel shuttle doesn't start until 5 a. M so we had to get a taxi. Nice food and friendly staff. Comfortable clean rooms.

Great hotel with a homely feel. Friendly staff and all just a stones throw from a major international airport. Totally recommended for people seeking a none corporate feel.

Stopped here before a flight the next day. Great location but wasn't impressed with the place for the price. Room needed a bit of attention. The check in process was slow but the lady was helpful. We told her what time our flight was and when we needed to leave in the morning and agreed the time. When we got to reception for that time the next day, we waited and he didn't come. We spoke to the man on reception and said well he doesn't start for another 20 minutes to which we told him we had a plane to catch and we agree the time and he kinda said well oh well, he doesn't start till then. Turns out the people already sat in the reception had the same issue and infact had been waiting half an hour already. Luckily the man came in 5 mins later so not sure what was going on. The guy driving was really nice and helpful, shame the guy on reception wasn't.

A pleasant enough hotel, very handy for the airport. Room too cold and temperature controls made no difference. The full English breakfast was good but waiting staff need some people skills.

Bought a Groupon voucher for champagne afternoon tea which has become a regular sister activity when one of us has a birthday (so three times a year). The sandwiches and cakes were lovely but the ‘champagne’ was cheap sparkling wine at best. Shouldn’t really advertise a champagne afternoon tea if you’re not going to serve champagne. Left a little disappointed so probably won’t be back. Shame as the actual hotel was nice and staff were friendly.

Cold room put my Mum off staying any longer than it took to eat. Sandwiches were 2 varieties Tuna and ham but were lovely. Scones were nice and light but suspect not made at the Etrop neither too the other cakes carrot, lemon Drizzle & a raspberry tartlet but tasted great. Shame that the room had no view. Would suggest that the dining room is used in futuure as gives a better impression of the place.

Cosy Hotel. Club room clean and well equipped. The bathroom is small but functional.
I liked the "so British" style of the establishment and the more contemporary decoration of the room.
I did not like the sound insulation and the lighting too low for my taste.

Bed as nice and soft, with a decent sized room. Only stayed one night so I wasn't able to make use of all their facilities. The old style decor made it nice and welcoming.

Room was nice, spacious and clean. We checked in quite late but the lady at reception was super nice and professional. Only negative I can say is the taps in the sink in the bathroom is the old fashioned style where it's one faucet for cold and the other for hot water. Free parking and Wi-Fi in the room were both handy.

We visited Etrop Grange Hotel for afternoon tea for our wedding anniversary as it was the place we got married. The venue is very close to Manchester Airport and local public transport to Manchester City Centre. For afternoon tea we were in the conservatory which was very clean and bright. The staff were great really accommodating and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend it for quality and value for money.

The hotel has a lot of charm, especially now that Christmas is coming and it is decorated. The room is cosy but the bathroom, despite being newly refurbished is a bit cold because it has no heating. Getting to our room has cost a tad because it is an old building and the hallways are a bit convoluted… Although we have had a great day following the directions, as if it were a game!

Difficult to get into car park because of roadworks. Had afternoon tea which was ok for price but had to go to reception for attention as staff seemed to disappear.

Etrop Grange is good value in this area near Manchester international airport. Rooms are modest nut clean. You will have to carry your own suitcase up the stars if your room is up there. Walls are also thin but it was all quiet while I was there. Shuttle service was very professional.

English charm. Very quiet (despite large works around). Clean room (towels and sheets are changed every day) … friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money.

I have to give 1 star as they won't allow to put zero stars on. Went there for my brother in laws wedding. Thought it was lovely but in the morning was advise by my brother in law that some of there envelops that contained money as gifts had been stolen. The hotel staff told us there are no cameras in the area in question and had the nerve to say"could it have been one of our guests" Also the morning staff through out the hotel were rude. The fire alarm went off in the morning at 7am and the front desk tried to charge us for the room again even when we had paid before arriving. With very little in the way of disabled access this hotel is joke.

Went for a wedding reception the other night, and the staff were absolutely delightful. They seemed to have a good rapport with one another, and we're polite and helpful to all of the guests. The food was also good, and the venue was okay, but they get a five star from me because of the quality of the service.

Leaking air conditioning unit. Had to use a towel to muffle dripping. Surly staff. Previously breakfast guests butter left on table complete with crumbs! Had stayed before and was good but standards have plummeted. Only consistent was Peter the Courtesy car driver. Cheerful and polite.

Bed that we had was only a small double and not too comfortable. Room seems to have been repainted but not to a high standard. Bedroom window blind fell off when trying to lower it. Bathroom is in need of a refurbish too. Not sure if the hotel was trying to save money by keeping the Victorian styling but it's now looking very tatty. Toilet would wake the dead when flushed then provide drip fill torture when refilling the cistern. At the time of our stay (Aug 2017) there was no bar due to it being refurbished although drinks could still be provided. Can't comment on the food as we didn't have any but with a burger costing almost £12 we were unlikely to. One handy feature was the free transport to the airport which is available from 5am.

I cannot recommend this place enough! The rooms are cozy, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The best part, however, is the amazing staff willing to go above and beyond. I interacted most with Peter, who was incredibly helpful and kind, but everyone I spoke to was spectacular. If you have an early flight at Manchester, do yourself a favor and stay at the Etrop Grange!

Great location and free shuttle service. Shuttle driver even left 20mins before he was due to start at 5.00am to help us get to the airport. Rooms and hotel are nice and charming but some of the maintenance is questionable, air conditioning unit had parts missing off the front? We ordered room service and didn't regret it, fantastic! Would stay again great hotel for the price too!

Excellent place to stay. Courtesy car from airport and very friendly staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. English breakfast ok but a little expensive at 14.95. However I did come from Canary Islands where such things are cheaper so it may be about the average price charged. Overall a good stay and would recommend to others.

The hotel is conveniently placed and well up to the standard I would expect for an overnight stay. I notice that one previous review mentioned some confusion and resulting problem having pre-booked a breakfast. I experienced a similar confusion, but it was dealt with without any issue or complaint and I did not have to produce paperwork. Overall a very friendly, homely, efficient operation.

Air con was far to bright and did not work properly, damp in the bathroom, wallpaper coming away from the wall above our bed,

Hotel situated 15~20 minutes walk from the airport. Airport pick-up is available but only until 10 pm. I didn't the airplanes, which was my initial concern at an airport hotel. However it was quite noisy from the inside, with the numerous fire protection doors in the corridor banging all the time. My shower didn't work and when I informed the reception, I was asked to use the shower in another room that hadn't been cleaned and had hair all over the tub. Breakfast was overpriced and average.

I have stayed here many times. It is a fairly typical country hotel but has the benefit of being within 2 minutes of all the Manchester Airport terminals. Rooms are fine and comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. Be warned though! I went through late rooms and stayed last night having pre paid breakfast. On checkout they tried to charge me £28 for 2 breakfasts. When I spotted this and said I'd pre paid them them receptionist refused to believe me, saying 'late rooms don't doit that way'. I pointed out that this was always the way I had previously done it, but until I produced the paperwork she wouldn'tcorrect it. When I did she finally corrected it without saying a word. Definitely miffed because I didn't want to pay for breakfast twice! This particular lady needs training, otherwise reccommended.

Beautiful rooms and building. Sadly our night's stay was the same time as a wedding party so it was loud till 2am and breakfast was overcrowded and none existent.

Really nice hotel. Well located near a long stay carpark next to Manchester Airport. Cosy rooms and helpful staff. Decent amount of parking too.

The facilities and refreshments provided for the course I was on were very good.

Went here for a family Christmas day meal with 13 other people. The food was superb and the surroundings were lovely too. The only criticism was that they seemed a bit short staffed at the time which is perhaps typical of Christmas day.

I can't tell you how much I loved this hotel. My flight got cancelled and they put me up here. It's cozy, vintage, and everyone is so nice! If it weren't on an airport I'd totally try to have my wedding here.
