Absolutely loved this place. Averaging £100 a night, but worth every penny. Sound proofed, cool, delicious food, amazing space. I personally lived the view we had overlooking the airport. And at the other side in the patio area/smoking area you could see the planes coming in to land. The food portions were small but delicious! Worth every penny. Breakfast was an added extra you can purchase when checking in and offered a vast selection of options and you could refill until you were full. It was well worth the 4 stars it achieves on many sites. :)

Great room, very clean and had complimentary gowns and bottled water. Only thing knocking it down a star was no AC. Of course being the UK it's usually not needed but unfortunately there was a heatwave and despite the windows being open it was still unfortunately too hot in the room. Check in and check out was friendly, efficient and fast. We were 3rd in the queue and had our keys within a couple of minutes, no issues. Found the hotel very clean and nice inside. Didn't have time to try the bar or breakfast due to flights.

It's not easy to find the hotel car park… staff from a nearby hotel let me follow them to it. Long queue to check in, not enough staff on desk. Lovely room and well sound proofed. Very comfortable. However, there is no air conditioning and we spent a very hot and humid night so sadly didn't sleep well. Unable to open window due to exterior noise. When mentioned heat in room at check out, was asked if we had asked for a fan. Had not been made aware of the availability of fans. Food was lovely and the price was what to be expected at an airport hotel. Shuttle to airport was on time and fast. Plenty of mini buses to make sure limited wait. Happy to being me back after I had said goodbye to my daughter. Was unable to get out of Car park even though I had already paid. Intercom on exit barrier not working. Luckily no one behind me so was able to reverse and had to go back to reception to get another exit ticket… Lovely hotel… one or two gremlins to iron out.

The location was excellent location We travelled to Manchester by train and were collected quickly from the railway station and taken to the airport the following morning. The hotel is minutes from both locations. The evening meal was excellent and great value for money. The breakfast was also excellent, the best vegetarian sausages I have ever tasted. I think the hotel is over priced given the location and as an airport hotel you are not in the room in any length of time but I have to say it was a lovely room and we slept well.

Arrived after returning from holiday, kettle was broken in the room, however this was quickly rectified by reception. Comfy beds and clean. When attending the bar area the next morning to get coffee and breakfast, the man serving was very unhelpful and we had to ask several times to see the pastries on offer. He then brought out all the tea pots and cups but with no tray for us to take them to the table! We asked for a tray and were given one. Will be returning when we fly from Manchester again as it is close to the airport.

Hotel near Manchester Airport. The appearance is modern, or has been modernized. I didn't find the air conditioning controls, so I'm not sure they actually have it. The room is quite large and the bed very comfortable.

I stayed here for one night when needing to take a morning flight from the airport. It's a large hotel, but nevertheless the staff give it a more intimate atmosphere. My room was comfortable and clean, and quiet provided I kept the window closed! However the air conditioning wasn't very effective so my room was uncomfortably hot the night I stayed. I had dinner and breakfast there, and both were very good. It's definitely worth considering this hotel if you need to stay overnight at the airport.

Nice hotel, convenient to the airport. Had no problems being picked up even though we arrived at "silly o'clock". Breakfast was great and Were able to stay in our room till midday as we had arrived so late. They took us back to the station the following day. Definitely staying at the hotel next time I fly from Manchester.

We booked a stay and park package as part of our trip to Italy last week. Having stayed at the Clayton before we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. The check-in process was painless, room clean and quiet, and food in the restaurant very good. Our car was taken off-site due to the duration of stay and was returned clean and unmarked with brown paper sheets protecting the carpets. All of the staff encountered during our stay were courteous, efficient and most welcoming — a credit to the hotel. Why stay anywhere else?

Excellent service, already at check-in. Generous, spacey room, well equipped. Good food in the restaurant at fair prices. Efficient and friendly shuttle service. Will come again.

From the moment I arrived (2 weeks before my stay) to park my car until the moment I left (10 minutes after having my car battery jump started by a member of staff) I experienced quality. The staff were excellent. Helpful, well trained and considerate. The rooms were large, clean, comfortable and above all quiet. Overlooking the airport and being unable to hear the aircraft landing is amazing — especially following a 17 hour journey! The bar was fine, the food was very good and the chefs cooked us a veggie sausage when we came for breakfast. When I got my car, the battery was dead, but this was quickly solved by one of the bus drivers who bought his own car round and gave me a jump start. I will definitely be staying again after a long flight landing in the evening. Thank you.

Usually stay in the Raddison but the on sight parking drew me in as it suited flight times. On arrival the staff were efficient, polite and professional. On entering the room, my Wife and Myself were highly delighted with the room, in our a opinion a better standard to where we usually stay! We ate in the restaurant, lovely food, reasonably priced served by a wonderfully eccentric waitress. Check out was easy as was the car pick up. Faultless, Clayton is our preferred choice now!

I like to stay here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The free airport shuttle provides a great service. I never had a need for any food or drink, but the options provided look good and reasonably priced as well. Definitely recommend this place for an overnight stay at the airport.

We stayed overnight for one night at the hotel prior to flying off on holiday. Everything about the actual hotel was fine. The reception staff were friendly and courteous and check in was smooth including the car parking. At the time of check in we reserved our places on the transfer bus for the next morning The bar had a good selection of food and drinks and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The bar/waiting staff were pleasant and attentive. The hotel room was spacious and well appointed with large comfortable beds and the bathroom had all the usual toiletries you would expect. Check out was smooth and professional but this is where the experience went downhill rapidly. The driver for T2 (Jim) was very competent and pleasant and worked from a reservation list. Unfortunately we were travelling to T1 and this driver was the exact opposite. He denied that he worked from any list and reservations meant nothing "as he was very busy". I double checked with reception and they confirmed the reservation list. Getting on to the bus became a free for all "survival of the fittest" and we were left standing in the cold for the best part of an hour. Unfortunately his name badge was not visible. This meant that our airport experience became an unpleasant sprint to the gate despite the fact that we had reserved our places on a bus allowing plenty of time.

This was our first experience of an airport hotel. From the moment we stepped through the doors we were treated with respectul, friendly staff and were given a warm welcome. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. We ate in the Aviator Bar and the main restaurant, where friendly, efficient staff served first class food. The airport shuttle bus driver was also very friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed over 1 night & we were very impressed. The lad on reception could have been less robotic but I’ll forgive him as he’s young. The rest of the staff couldn’t do enough for u. The bar area with the buzzer for drinks was fantastic… I want one at home. The burgers were really tasty & the staff were very attentive. The Room was very large, clean & quiet. We Were not expecting an airport hotel to be so good thank you!

The hotel was spot on; lovely food and very comfortable. Leaving the car was easy as was collecting it. The shuttle was extremely efficient, both going and when we got back. It needed to be after such a long flight. My only 'whinge' would be lack of signage at the last roundabout. We ended up with a 30 minute drive, as I missed the unmarked turnoff Overall tho; excellent.

Excellent hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Very helpful staff. Very close to terminals for flights and good courtesy transfers. Really enjoyed meal deals and especially the breakfast. Have stayed at several hotels at the airport but this is the best and the Cheapest of similar standards.

As we had an early morning flight, we decided to spend the night before our departure at the Clayton. It was our second visit and, even though there was renovation work being carried out in parts if the building, we never heard any noise at all and slept soundly. The price paid for one night was very reasonable when you consider that it is inclusive of two weeks parking for the car, and transport to and from whichever terminal you are using. All the staff are polite, professional and very helpful. We would have no hesitation in using this hotel whenever we need to. Thank you Clayton.

The hotel is very good. It is located only 400 m from the airport, in 5min you arrive at the hotel. The rooms are very spacious. The hotel is very clean. Very good Hotel if you are late to Manchester and travel the next day.

We were staying just for the one night due to an early flight, but the room was well equipped and the steak we ate was cooked to perfection. The only downside we were next to the air con or something outside, so we could not keep the window open due to noise, even with the heater off the room was far too hot to sleep comfortable. Otherwise high rating. Another thing we discovered which wasn't explained as we checked we could have asked for a fan to cool us down as well as a breakfast pack. For very short stays as this was we don't always read the information in the room.

Very friendly and helpful from the outset, easy to check-in, helpful staff, great room. I was essentially there for one night to meet up with friends whilst working in Manchester. We had a few drinks, a bite to eat in the restaurant, and a good old catch-up in the bar afterwards. The decor was good, the quality of food/service was fine and the staff were friendly, basically it did what it said on the tin. Yes I would stay there again, and yes I would recommend.

I found the hotel temperature was cold; there was no help given to get to my room on the new part of the building, so I was left struggling for twenty minutes with my luggage, as no sign indicated where to go. People at reception were not so friendly as they took in registration, border line on being curt. The room at £ 110 was disappointing as there was no tea-making facilities and again, it was cold. The restaurant was also chilly, as also remarked other customers. On the positive side, the young man serving at my table was very helpful and friendly. In fact, the only welcoming face I encountered during my stay overnight. Only advantage: proximity to the airport and shuttle service.

We stayed one night with parking for 14 days. We've stayed before and been very happy with the accommodation and food. This time we upgraded to an executive room which was really nice. Our only tiny problem was that there weren't many coffee capsules or much milk in the room. One of the things we do is start the day with a coffee and it would have meant only one of us having proper coffee. We asked at reception and they said they'd contact housekeeping for us, which they did, but we still didn't get a reasonable amount. A selection of different capsules would have been nice instead of one of each. But, apart from that, there wasn't anything else as you can tell otherwise the coffee thing would not have taken up so much of this review. The reception and sorting out the car was efficient on both sides of the holiday and we will use the hotel again.

Just fantastic. Everything ran smoothly and was excellent value. Many thanks to your staff, in reception, the restaurant and the morning driver. But special thanks to the drivers who collected two weary travellers, picked up our keys from reception and dropped us off beside our car. We are very, very pleased and appreciative of the service you provided. We will be back!

We had booked a one night stay prior to going on holiday. We had a family room for the four of us. The room was adequate for our needs. However when I went to put the soap wrapper in the bathroom bin the previous occupants cotton buds were still there. There were only 3 towels provided for us, I asked reception for another towel on our way to dinner but it was never delivered to our room. Dinner was the biggest let down with very poor service and attitude. Our kids preferred the bar menu and we had been advised by the bar staff they could order from that menu in the restaurant. We all placed our orders, two meals from the bar menu (burgers and chips) and two meals from the restaurant menu. When the meals arrived, one was incorrect as the waiter had misheard the order, that was rectified fairly quickly. After the main course the waiter asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu, my husband declined but said bring them for the rest of us. After 5 minutes it was obvious the waiter wasn't going to bring the requested menus. When we got another waiter's attention to ask for the menus the original waiter retorted that we hadn't wanted the menus. We pointed out only my husband didn't want one and the rest of us did. The waiter's first language was not English and I understand he will have to deal with lots of accents but if he didn't understand the order that was placed for the meal or the request for menus he could have asked us for clarification.

Good service. Extremely friendly. Excellent restaurant, though not entirely cheap.

We've stayed several times over the last few years. It's nice to decompress after a holiday and get rested for the trip home. Reception went quicker with fewer misunderstandings as in the past. The restaurant has improved its choices over the last year, but is somewhat confusing with respect to servers. I was never sure who was looking after us or too busy to help. The shuttle bus came when expected; the driver was helpful. Now if I could just carry the calmness into the airport.

Stayed on park and fly package and was very impressed with the pick up and drop off service from airport, drivers very helpful. Everything after this was awful to be honest. Checked in after midnight after arriving back from holiday so wanted smooth quick check in. Check in took 15 minutes as a young female receptionist who was obviously in training required assistance from her supervisors (no problem with that), 2 supervisors then tried to help check us in but kept disappearing to answer phone or speak to other staff. When finally got to our room we just went to straight to sleep. Was then awoken at 8am by someone opening our room door, suffice to say didn't get back to sleep especially as we had 2 children with us and disturbed by potential for someone to just enter our room. We then discovered the carpet to be disgusting with crushed crisps and a plaster still on the floor. When turning the kettle on the plug also blew causing all power in sockets to blow. We then went down to reception to let them know these problems and were eventually given another to shower in (this room also hadn't been hoovered correctly). We were never given an apology or any offer to solve any of the issues until we requested another room. We did receive 50% discount of our room but still no real apology even on check out. Overall hotel is good location but staff require a lot more training and general cleanliness and condition of hotel leaves lot to be desired.

Check in was unbelievably slow, the transaction couldn't be completed so had to endure the slow check out as well — it's simply not good enough. When checking out the receptionist couldn't even be bothered to ask how my stay was. The room was too warm but couldn't open the window due to the fact there were 7 chillers 2 foot from my window. The room for £160 for the night was breathtaking and not even a fridge — never again.

Great place to stay. Bed was so comfortable I did not want to get up. Just wished we had been with you longer to sample all the amenities on offer. We arrived quite late and just had a meal in the bar which was outstanding. Our server was Natalie I think, please pass on our thanks as she was very pleasant and most helpful. Looking forward to our next stay with you. Thank you.

The hotel is next to the airport and provides free shuttles for the stopover at the exit. It was very clean and the breakfast was good. Not too much variety, but great quality. The rooms are very comfortable Recommended!

A pleasant experience the process of parking the car for the holiday duration, overnight stay, with the courtesy bus taking us to the airport for twilight bag drop off and being taken in the morning to the airport — all easy and great. But, the return back to the hotel from the airport not a good experience at all. The phone in the airport did not connect to the hotel, after trying several times we approached the information personnel who also tried on our behalf, tried the extension again no joy so had no option but to drag our cases to the hotel ourselves, having been getting over a bad back this was not ideal. Once at the hotel and complaining to the duty manager who did inform me that if you don't get through on the extension it is because other terminals were on the phone — yes only one phone line for the 3 terminals no one has told us this. He also informed me that we hadn't paid for the bus it was only a courtesy bus so sorry for our inconvenience but it was busy (2 buses parked up idle). We should have been informed that you weren't guaranteed to be picked up on the way back to the hotel we would have stayed in a hotel where you were, it was disappointing because it seemed like a good idea to stay the night before flying but won't stay in this hotel again.

We stayed for one night before a morning flight. We had a double double room which was great, although would probably have had more room if there was only one bed. The beds were very comfortable and there were loads of pillows (I slept very well). The room was on the ground floor and was very quiet (surprisingly). The bathroom was perfectly adequate and clean. Shower pressure was fantastic. We had a view of the back of reception which wasn't a problem as we arrived in the dark and left early in the morning. There was however someone just outside my window having a smoke as I closed the window to sleep. The shuttle to the airport was super handy. Picked us up and dropped us off 3 mins later. I was told that the shuttles run every 15 minutes in the morning.

This is a third stay before a holiday flight at this hotel and it won't be our last. Reception staff are clearly well-trained and motivated, and have the ability and experience to meet specific needs. Our room was a good size, spotless and well appointed. Lovely fluffy towels. The bar and restaurant are well run and offer a wide selection of drinks and food. The transfer drivers such as John are helpful and courteous. Don't hesitate to book here. Good value and an ideal place to start your holiday!

Check in was quick and room lovely. Bar and meal prices resonable. However, more staff are needed at meal times in the bar area they were clearly run off their feet. Our Grandchildren had a 3 course dinner and we ordered the first two courses as was told all three would come together otherwise and to order sweet when ready. Both children ordered different and they took over 20 minutes to come and they brought 2 of the same so I told waitress who snatched it up and it then took over 30 minutes to get what had been ordered and that was only after I'd chased it up but I felt that they thought I was being a nuisance. The minibus to the airport was good with a very cheerful, friendly driver even at 07:30 hrs.

Really huge room with 2 double beds, nicely decorated and furnished. Very comfortable. Restaurant was very busy with too few staff so had to wait slightly longer than we should have to be served. Our waiter was excellent though and made us welcome. The food was really good and reasonably priced. Slightly strange layout with the lifts external to the building almost as an add on at the back so a round about route to our room. All the staff were professional and friendly. In short though, worth the money. Will be back.

We have stayed at his hotel quite a few times. It is so convenient to park your car for 15 days and enjoy a restful night either at the beginning of your trip if you have an early flight or at the end (as I did) to rest before a long drive home. The rooms are always spotless, well appointed and really comfortable. Really comfy beds! The staff are very professional and friendly. The minibus service is convenient and the drivers always friendly. And I love whatever air freshener they use in the lobby — it smells lovely! My minor criticisms would be the breakfast is rather pricey at £12.50 per head and the bar menu could do with some light bite simple items for quick snacks… Also when arriving back in the UK on a late flight it does take a while for the hotel staff to answer the courtesy phone. This is not a major issue but wearying late at night having just landed. All in all a nice hotel; I look forward to staying here again :)

Just had a very unexpected 36 hour stay at this hotel due to Virgin Atlantic incompetence. Under the circumstances myself my wife and our 4 children had a very pleasant stay. Very helpful staff, food was good, rooms clean and the free courtesy bus too and from the airport was great. The drivers of these buses were also great, really helpful and pleasant to talk to. I would use this hotel again without hesitation. Thanks for looking after us!

We have stayed here a few times now as we usually get the best price for overnight stay the night before we fly and also airport parking and in a great location next to terminal 1. I would have given it 5/5 but on our return from holiday we were given the wrong directions to our parked car by the front desk staff. After looking for our car for around 15 minutes I returned to the front desk where I was then told it was parked in the opposite direction! No apology either!

Significant improvement since last visit. Breakfast the best we've experienced in a long time. Rooms spacious and comortable but although tea making facilities availlable there were no biscuits/ nibbles. As many of your guests arrive at unpredictable hours some form of nibbles would be very much appreciated. service at breakfast could be improved… the tables were left with dirty plates etc for an uncomfortable/unacceptable amount of time… but the food and choice was interesting, of good quality and very much appreciated.

We stayed overnight here prior to flying to Canada. Check in was smooth, the restaurant had good choices and was reasonable and the food was excellent. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable and breakfast the next morning ws great too. Checkout was smooth also, so all in all a very good start to our trip.

Our family of 3 stayed one night before an early flight. The room was very clean and comfortable. However there were only 2 towels even though we had 3 on our reservation. I called the front desk at 7:30 PM for more towels and they never arrived. We ate dinner in the restaurant and waited nearly an hour for the food. We asked our waiter for a round of water for the table which we never received. The hotel is very nice and the staff was friendly. More attention to detail would make it even better.

Very efficient hotel. Staff all very friendly. Great value for money. Convenient location. Would stay again. Being very picky I was surprised at no safety deposit box in room, that was my only niggle. Food quality was also very high. Transfers a real bonus.

I have been using the hotel for the last 5 years mainly for a odd night before flying out of the airport. The reception staff are excellent and very welcoming. The rooms are the same as when it was the Bewley. The restaurant, food is very good. The bar area satisfactory. Just needs tables cleaning a bit more often, not nice when you have to move the dirty plates to male room for your food coming from the bar.

Slight glitch on arrival when the computer said that my booking had been cancelled, but this was quickly and efficiently sorted out by the receptionist. Room clean and comfortable, and well insulated against noise despite proximity to airport. Only minor criticisms: the room was too hot but it was too noisy to leave the window open, and it is very difficult to read the numbers on the car parking bays because they have worn away.

Great service all round. Check-in was easy, had a lovely meal in the bar and the family bedroom was fine for what we needed. Used the shuttle to and from the airport which was very easy to use and efficient. Overall a great stay and will definitely stay here again the night before a flight.

I have been staying at The Clayton more or less twice a year since it was The Holiday Inn Garden Court, i. E. Since at least 1997. It never fails to make a pleasant stay and I always look forward to coming back, as I shall very soon. The staff are attentive without being obsequious, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. The last time I stayed next door at The Crowne Plaza was disappointing and I wished at the time I had booked what was then Bewley's. I haven't made that mistake again. I look forward to my 20th 'anniversary' next year!

On booking I Requested a quiet room away from elevators as we were arriving late and didn't want to be up too soon. We were given a beautiful refurbished room on the ground floor. The young man said its a long way from elevators … I Asked if it was quiet! We realised at 7.30am that there is a building site plus workman's cabin just outside this room! A bit of a disappointment to say the least! We got up and set off home much earlier than we planned. Will stay again as we have never had any problems before… as we usually arrive at normal times. Great hotel and refurbished rooms are lovely.

The bed is alright, and the airport shuttle a neat feature — so much for the positives. The room I got was quite run down with stained carpets, as was the whole floor. The advertised "tea/coffee making facilities" do not exist, nor are the rooms "fully soundproofed" — mine was facing the train station and I could hear every announcement clearly, as well as all noise from departing trains. Can't comment about the food, the prices seemed far too high so I went elsewhere. The worst thing is that someone came knocking on my door at 5.56 AM, and when I was finally awake to answer, nobody was around anymore. Wtf?

My partner and I have stayed at Clayton's (and before at Bewley's) many times and the hotel is consistently satisfactory, but not excellent. On only one occasion could the quality of our breakfast be described as ghastly! I will forgive that as the food has subsequently been of the quality which one would normally expect from a hotel like Clayton's. This time, our mattress was probably a little old and marginally on the side of uncomfortable and the toilet paper was cheap and nasty. I am not a fan of paper which (to be polite) is not fit for its purpose. Service was excellent especially in respect of my complaint that the telephone in our room would not pick up an outside line! The man in charge of the hotel/airport shuttle bus was cheerful and helpful. We will probably stay at Clayton's (on balance) next time we fly from Manchester.

Have stayed her a few times and eaten also, food always good and nice comfy rooms. We parked the car for a week, while we were away. Unfortunately out flight was significantly delayed, and we didn't land until 1.30am. I picked the car keys up from the main desk, and was told my car was in zone 7 around the back, it was cols and we were very tired so to find no car was not the best, I went back with all the luggage, to be told maybe it was zone 1, it turns out it was zone 7 but at the front not the rear, I voiced my displeasure at the front desk, to top it off, we had to wait a good few minutes for the barrier to be lifted, when all we wanted to do was set off home, we had a good 2 hour drive back to Hull.

We have previously used the Bewley Hotel for overnight stays both before and following long haul flights and found the hotel very adequate for our needs. Likewise, with the Clayton Hotel, we were satisfied with the services offered. Though not plush, the hotel provides what we need for a short stay. We valued the taxi service to and from the airport, the efficiency and helpfulness of the staff and the provision of food and drink which was of a good standard. Two small things would add to the Clayton Hotel experience; a box of tissues in each room and the porterage of luggage to the room allocated.

Arrived at Hotel at 01-15 after late flight thought we were going to get a good night's sleep but not go be, Fire alarm went off at 06.00 rang 30 secs. Went off again 06.05, and then stopped secs after. Rang reception and was asked if I could check the corridor for smoke, no smoke no fire what a farce. Did eventually get back to sleep but not for long as we had a train to catch at 10.00. Not a good experience and at check out we were told The alarm going off was down to a guest who they said had been find £500, another member of staff informed us that the alarm system had recently been overhauled and was still causing problems. Then somebody else further commented it had happened before all in all not a good experience don't think we'll be booking in there again.

The hotel was extremely comfortable, the beds and duvets were the best I have ever slept in. Service, cleanliness, comfort, facilities, internet and breakfast were all first class.

Pretty terrible. Ignorant, loud, rude staff. Lobby is nice but that's about it. Rooms are small. Extremely bad nights sleep. No ac. Poor facilities, outdated rooms and TVs in public area. Extremely overpriced meals.

Very unfriendly reception staff on arrival when leaving the car prior to departing from Manchester airport early morning 30th October. Even worse on return late Friday night 6th November. Could not find record of reservation, finally given a room that had clearly been allocated to someone else. Grim faced staff, with no urgency to resolve issue. On departure we asked what we had to do to retrieve our car and we were just pointed to the outside and told "Area 7". Room very dated too and not even a biscuit! Have stayed at the Premier Inn twice and it is far superior. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone so if you are thinking of booking think again.

Good for an airport hotel. Good food choice in restaurant and bar. Easy car parking and transfer to and from the airport. When we collected the car, the bus driver collected our keys from reception for us then drove us directly to our car!

Never again will we stay here and will highly recommend the same to all. Our room was entered at very early in the morning by other guests which had been booked in same room? No more sleep that night before 25 hour flight to Australia. On complaint next morning was advised that we were not booked in correctly. Also the alarm clock was not in room as advertised — clock on television had wrong time — on requesting additional biscuit as advertised we were refused and had to collect sugar from the desk to have coffee? too many problems in our15 hour stay. Bitterly disappointed.

My husband and I stayed for one night for an early flight. The room was lovely two very large comfotable beds. The room was modern and clean. The car service was really good especially on our return trip to pick it up. Not impressed by the staff manning the reception area at all. Abrupt, cold and very little understanding that some people may not quite understand how their system works. I think the staff needed Dg with senior clients.

Not a horrible place for close access to the Manchester airport, but it was not a great hotel. The lobby is beautiful, but the rooms are outdated. The first room we were given had suspicious stains on the couch. The front desk, and drivers I met were super sweet though, but one of the workers was very weird, and let herself into our room. Highly unusual, but not too bad.

I've "bit my tongue" for months about this place, but I seriously can not let this go. I had saved my money for 3 years (3 YEARS! ) in order to go on a 10 day holiday, in Sheffield, from America in March. The night before I had to leave, my friends back home pulled their money together so I could stay in something what we thought, was a "nicer hotel". When I entered the hotel, I was overwhelmed with how beautiful everything was. It was like nothing I'd seen before and I really started to feel a little more at ease. That is until I got to the desk to check in. The woman behind the counter was, to put it nicely, rude as hell. Out of the 2 times I spoke to her (once to check in — once to ask for change), she acted as if I was bothering her computer time or whatever. The biggest issue was the room. How this place isn't closed down is beyond me. The carpet was stained everywhere, the furniture looked as if it had been there from the 70's. There was no tea, no cups, none of the extras were included. The tub literally had this blue soap stuck to the side of it (it was so thick it looked like toothpaste) and there was hair IN THE BATHTUB! Not only that but the towels were apparently folded by the last guest because they were dirty. I'm assuming the room was overlooked in the cleaning process because this place was nastier then any cheap hotel I've ever stayed in America. So much so, I didn't sleep (no way was I going to lay in that bed) & spent 3/4 of the time outside.

Advantage: Cheapest price as an Airport Hotel, very good Service, Shuttle Service, … disadvantage: rooms are very noisy and I don't have a bad night's sleep, Down aging facility, but clean.
