Very clean rooms beds very comfortable very nice staff good location.

After leaving an awful motel 6, we decided to check in to this hotel and it was nothing but great. The lady checking us in was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Will def check in again here once we come back.

At first we were taken back because it’s more of a motel then a hotel. Rooms were clean and breakfast was good. But it was the pool that made it the best.

This is the only place we stay for the park and cruise package for our Carnival cruises! Super service, excellent in every way. The employees go beyond in every way. The rooms are very nice and the breakfast is awesome! Five star all around!

Stayed here 8/14/18 on planned business with reservation, never stayed here before. Upon arrival at 6:30pm, front desk staff (no smile or nice greeting) young man “tried” checking me into my room. After waiting 5-10 minutes, he seemed to have “finally” found an available room 602 after hunting around for one on the computer. I proceeded to the room to quickly find it had not been cleaned yet by housekeeping (beds not made, towels laying around, lights on, etc). Bad impression. Made my way back to front desk, and same young man went back to drawing board in front desk computer searching endlessly to find another room. He seemed very confused. Several more minutes passing I asked “what the problem was” and “why he was unable to find a room”. He replied with multiple excuses about “housekeeping staff issues”, and “software issues in their computers not able to track clean rooms vs pending cleaning”. I waved to another front desk staff member who was standing out front to come help this man. After more searching he gave her 2 keys to go physically run up and check if there was an available clean room. Finally, she came back with room 212 as the clean one. I asked the young man if management was aware of these issues and he said they were. He also stated, ”housekeeping manager puts in the computer system when a room is clean, but after they leave for the day, the front desk staff is unable to tell which are clean (? ) ”.

We’ve been here 2 days and so far everything has been wonderful! It’s been remodeled and updated and I love our room near the pool! The pool is huge, the grounds are very pretty and kept up and breakfast is plentiful. We come to Charleston often and I will definitely stay here again! Not far from the beach either. Thank you for a wonderful stay I hate we are checking out Sunday…

Finally a hotel that is clean and updated with courteous staff! We got the king suite room that was perfect! The living room has a dining table with four chairs. The bedroom is huge and has a sitting area and a desk. The bathroom is bright, clean and spacious. The breakfast in the morning was well stocked at all times and the eating area was large for all guests. Our only regret was that we were only staying one night. We would have loved to stay longer and check out the pool. This place is a must stay when in Charleston!

The staff was friendly and professional and the hotel is great for families. It has clean, well maintained rooms and a nice big pool (also very clean). The breakfast was limited (although average for it's class in the US). They must be short on housekeeping staff currently because in the mornings they come and ask if you eat your room serviced, rather than just doing it like every other hotel does. Finally, the toilets clog easily.

IT'S DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON, WV, WHICH WE DID NOT KNOW! We asked at the front desk if it was a safe neighborhood. Their response was… It IS a DOWNTOWN! And the POLICE GET THERE FAST! NOT ENCOURAGING… We worried all night whether our car was safe or not. The SIGN on the building was not big or noticeable, we went to Qualify Inn next door first. They couldn't find our reservation made with EXPEDIA. Our room was clean, but only had 1 WASHCLOTH. The refrigerator was FILLED WITH FOOD from previous guest We called front desk. They said it was a housekeeping error, and the room was in fact NOT SOMEONE ELSE'S ROOM. So, we could stay. For BREAKFAST you have to walk across the street to QUALITY INN. We will be coming back!

What a very nice experience! The hotel is all updated and remodeled very nice foyer. I really liked how the rooms are away from the front desk. It gives your room a more private feel. It was quiet the whole time I stayed there. The hotel is next to everything not out of the way at all! I requested a King size bed the bedding is nice and the sheets are very soft. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great throughout my stay. The bathroom was very nice as well and the maids do a fantastic job! I would highly recommend trying their sample shampoos, conditioner, and lotion they smell amazing. I highly recommend this to families, singles and couples! The pool was nice and warm as well and not too over crowded.

Loved the comfort of the room The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The poor looked like fun. A very nice experience. Location was about 2 miles from town center. Breakfast surprisingly great. Not just a continental breakfast.

When we first got to our room we noticed the air was not working, went to the front desk to ask for another room or someone to look at the AC… was very rudely told there were no other rooms. AC guy comes and looks, says nothing and walks out, minutes later comes back and politely says they could move us upstairs and he would help us move. (We had 3 kids, pack and play, etc). Husband spilled something on the bed and we received room service, except they only made the bed. Apparently you have to ask for stained covers to be changed. Overall ok but staff could use some training on customer service and how to interact with guests.

I have the pleasure of staying at this hotel. Staff is absolutely wonderful. Room on the 7th floor was perfect, clean and spacious. A special thank you to Carla at the front desk for her kindness and care during my stay here. Carla went above and beyond to make my stay here a wonderful experience. When the description says "Unassuming" they are correct. The lobby looks nice but it goes downhill after that. At one time many decades ago, it was probably a nice place to stay. Now it is just old and tired. The rooms are very basic but with paint peeling from the walls and electrical plugins that are oddly loose. We were staying 2 nights over a weekend and didn't want our room disturbed (or our possessions pilfered) so we hung the DO NOT DISTURB sign and left for the day. When we returned, the room had been disturbed, opened, and made up. There is no continental breakfast, the toilet kept flushing itself overnight, the shower head has great pressure but is too low for tall people to wash above the waist without bending or kneeling. The windows are permanently fogged and dirty. If you really need to stay downtown on the cheap and don't want to sleep on a bench at the bus station then this is your place. If you want something a little nicer you will have to look elsewhere.

Clean and friendly. We had to stay here for 49 days while our flooded condo was being repaired. It was a great experience, especially because of a wonderful staff member named Charlene! She took extra special care of us and our two little fur babies! Awesome place to stay! Oh and great pool and continental breakfast!

It's a nice place up to date with all electrical items. Beds are so comfy and the pillows as well. However when we got to our room their was a dirty wash clothe hanging in the shower and the toilet doesn't flush well called for maintenance and he just plunged it a bit and that was all didn't clean up the drips of water left on the toilet seat or floor and it still doesn't really flush well hence the 4 star rating oh and the elevators are not the best they could use some updates and inspection paper says 2016 last inspection? workers are kind and accommodating when needing fresh towels and stuff.

Great staff. Only eight minutes away from downtown Charleston, clean rooms easy to find. You get a good deal for the price of the room. Front desk personnel are readily available and happy to address any and all of your needs Best Western has a great rewards program as well.

2nd year staying here. Last year was really good even with renovations going on. But, this year, renovations are still going on. First room was good until we found ants everywhere. They moved our room to a so called newly renovated room. No refrigerator, no phone, no curtains, missing one night stand. Staff is very friendly and were very apologetic. Not very happy this time around. Think they are over booked with how few rooms are actually ready to be used.

The people were very nice, but I'm not very impressed. It's probably 90 degrees in the hallways and the room, and even hotter in the elevator. Dead and live bugs in the room, though nothing particularly sinister. No bed bugs. Stains on the curtains, but not on the sheets, and the comforter is dingy. Definitely not worth the price. But the staff are very friendly and do their best. Keys didn't work, but they helped me get into a different room. 3 stars might be pushing it, but it's for the staff.

Overall, this is a decent hotel, especially once the renovations are completed. However, we experienced some problems. Initial impression was good and the lobby was nice and clean and there was friendly staff although it was pretty toasty in there but that wasn't the only place with AC problems. We were given room 817 and it was 79 degrees when we got in there and the AC would not turn on. Maintenance quickly came up to the room and we were on our way out so he said it would be fixed when we got back later that evening. We returned back to the room with no AC but after a quick call to the front desk, she was just waiting for us to get back to give us keys for the room across the hall, 816. Upon arrival in room 816, the same problem. It was only 74 degrees since the sun hadn't been hitting it all day and we tried to tough it out, but ultimately we had to call again. So room 817, I could hear the front desk through the phone but they couldn't hear me so I had to call on my cell phone and then in room 816, the phone didn't work at all. Anyway, they apparently didn't believe us the second time either but maintenance was gone so a security guard came up to the room to check it out. He assured us he would find us a room with working AC before he moved us again and that he would try to get us some compensation for the inconvenience (s). They moved us again and finally room 218 had AC.

This is a beautifully maintained property. The rooms have been remodeled and are updated. The staff is awesome and if the “breakfast lady” doesn’t put a smile on your face then you are crabbier than what I ate at the crab house! We rented a car and were about 30 minutes to Folly Beach, 15 minutes to the Runnymede Plantation (where we attended a wedding) and about the same distance to the downtown tourist areas.

Nice and friendly place to stay. Room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. Pillows were actually great too. My onky complaint is that breakfast was over by 9am when we went looking for it. Right across the way from the clay center just a 1 minute walk.

Hotel is well maintained. I was only there to make a delivery, but the staff was very helpful and courteous.

This hotel offers great value and comfort. When I booked this hotel, I thought it would be far away from all the attractions that we wanted to see. I was wrong. There are restaurants and grocery shopping close by. I loved the room because it had a comfortable bed and a couch for us to sit on. We also liked the shower because of the multiple choices for water flow, and the hot water came instantly! The one downside was the breakfast. Most places offer breakfast, which this one did. I wished there had been more fresh fruit offered. The eggs were not good.

Under renovation but inexpensive, clean, comfortable room for an overnight stay. Convenient to interstate exit.

The room was clean and quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The "continental" breakfast exceeded our expectations with make your own waffles and pancakes, as well as offering egg, sausage, bacon, bagel, toast, pastry, and cereal options. We were pleased to find that there was a microwave and a small fridge in our room. The only down side in that this hotel is on a very busy highway which made it a little difficult to get into and out of. That said, if I'm in need of a hotel in Charleston again, this is where I would stay.

It used to be a three star, but it's a bit tired to keep that going. Wallpaper peeling and bubbling, old mounting screws left in wall, cigarette burns on the sink edges… I guess you get what you pay for, as it was about half price compared to most any in the area. Will spend the extra $70 next time for a premium brand.

For the price, really enjoyed our stay. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly and nice. Location was great! Would definitely recommend and stay there again. Only complaint was hearing the neighboring room and smelling their food. But it didn't bother us too much.

We have visited Charleston a few times and always wind up staying at this hotel. Staff is great and welcoming, and the rooms are always clean. The only thing I noticed that I would change is that there was no coffee pot in my room. I'm not sure if that is only a select few rooms that don't have coffee pots, or if it is all of the rooms. But they do have coffee available at the front desk, which was fine for me. I do love the fact that these rooms do have refrigerators though, so it does seem to balance out.

The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. It also has a good location.

The staff was very nice and professional. The breakfast was convenient and pretty good. There are several obvious cut through areas in the fence separating the hotel parking lot from the neighborhood behind the hotel. Several people were seen using the cut through causing security issues. Saying that, it's not surprising that Best Western cares little for personal security. My family will not be staying at any Best Western for the immediate future because they can not separate their political opinions from business.

At first we didn't have that much toilet paper. The beds were decently comfortable, pillows weren't bad. It had a fridge and safe. Two sinks and a bathroom. Spanish TV was pretty juicy. Not bad.

So we stayed here and did the cruise package where you leave your car while you cruise. It's definitely worth it! The staff was super friendly, there was a hot breakfast, bed super comfy and most of the rooms look out onto the pool! I'm totally recommending this place and will stay here again if we do this cruise again!

Comfortable but expensive. Over $250 for a pool view room (pool was closed). It is pet friendly.

They were in the process of remodelling while I stayed here. Other than that the service was amazing and the room I stayed in, which was newly renovated, was beautiful. Will be staying there again on my next trip to Charleston :)

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The price was extremely competitive. When it gets done with it's renovations it will be even better!

The staff was very nice and welcoming. We had our dog with us and they gave us some treets for her. The room was nice and clean. The free breakfast was good for hotel food and had an extremely good selection which was above average. For the price, I don't think we could have done better.

The staff are very polite and are always willing to help. I’ve stayed here for close to 3 months and I’d do it again. My room is nice and well kept. They were renovating rooms during my stay and updating everything with the new times.

Great staff! My dad was staying here to recover from surgery and the staff were very accommodating. They made sure we had a room on the first floor and that it was in a quiet area. There were a few times, before check in, that I had to change my reservation. The staff were awesome in doing so. Also, when making the reservation, the staff went out of their way to make sure I got the best deal possible.

I'm usually not a fan of hotels with doors that open to the outside. Just a personal preference. But this was a very nice hotel that made me feel safe and cozy when I got into the room. Kind employees and comfy, plush beds. It was a wonderful place to lie down and sleep in after a whole day of walking downtown Charleston. Typical hotel breakfast, nice looking pool (unfortunately the weather was cold while we were here so we couldn't use it). I would stay here again. Cool accent walls, too!

Old building but updated and great for price. Clean and beds were great. Pillows worked but could be better. Angel helped at check in and was friendly and helpful. WAFFLES were awesome. And location was great.

No breakfast offered as advertised due to kitchen renovation. No effort was made to reimburse or compensate for this shortcoming. The knobs on the heater / ac unit were falling off and when running released a strong moldy odor. Noticed a live bed bug stuck on its back on one of the tables. Would not recommend.

Very affordable and the room looked exactly like photos. There third party site used for booking did not notify to hotel we had a dog, resulting in extra fees. The walls are very thin and the staff plays music from their cellphones. They continued taking our "Do not disturb. " sign from the door. This resulted in multiple staff members knocking on our door every morning.

Nice hotel that takes pets. The property was nice and the staff that I dealt with were all very nice. The breakfast was good and all the equipment worked. The best was nice and comfy and the room was nice. Will stay here again.

This hotel is being renovated to become a Wyndham grand. They are currently doing remodel work. The lobby had a leak in ceiling with buckets in floor, a turn off at first. The staff are super friendly and made me feel a little at ease. The elevator and hallways are clean. My room is also very clean. I believe I'm in a room that hasn't been remodeled yet because of the walls. But it smells great and feels clean. I would stay here again for sure and recommend to friends. Great price for a great nights stay.

Nice, clean, spacious rooms with 2 queen size beds (doubles were advertised). Friendly helpful staff. Since they were renovating, they offered and I accepted to see my room beforehand, and it was fine. They even allowed me to choose which side of the hotel I wanted to be on per the view outside! Very good service!

I paid for my room through expedia and saved myself $20. I walked in and asked what the rate was they said 80 and I said wow it's only 58 online. So I went outside to my car and I got the $58 rate from expedia. I got lucky and got a renovated Room So I don't know what the old rooms look like. It is an amazing room. I loved it. The bed was not too hard and not too soft the pillows are good quality. The alarm clock has 2 plugs and 2 USB ports to charge electronics. I thought that was cool The night Girl at the front fest was very nice and personable. I felt welcomed.

Best hotel I've ever stayed at! Came here from Florida because of Irma. Felt right at home from the beginning. The rooms were excellent! Very clean and comfy had everything we needed. Beds were like sleeping in a cloud. Everyone was very nice, especially carol in housekeeping, she was an angel! If more people were like her this world would be a better place!

This is an older hotel. More like a motel. The rooms open to the outside and there doesn't seem to have sufficient parking spots. The complementary breakfast is good but not fancy at all. The location is good as it's not in the historic district but it's fairly close and there seems to be several interesting places to eat nearby.

We spent our time away from home here during Hurricane Irma and it has been absolutely perfect! The staff went above and beyond to make sure every single need was met in a super busy and stressful time. Rooms were extremely clean and ready when we arrived. The young lady working the breakfast room was fantastic even when one of the ovens went out. Also, the morning front desk worker was so patient when our 2 year old was trying to get out some energy from being stuck in a room with nowhere else to go. We will definitely be visiting again when we can enjoy the city!

Nice place for a great price. Overall clean and pool was nice. Landscape was beautiful. Located pretty close to everything. Had a very difficult time with the ice machine gave up and just bought our own ice. Also has some trouble getting the key card to work some of the stay. Some of the staff was not friendly however there were a few we encountered that were very pleasant. Room cleaning during the stay was very minimal. They changed sheets and gave us new towels but did not sweep up some dead flies that were already on the floor when we checked in, so you could tell how little was cleaned. Also did not replace the almost empty toilet paper we had to go and get it the next morning. The bed was very comfortable with the pillow top and they provide you with enough pillows. The breakfast was great with several different choices! Overall worth the money.

Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again. Much less expensive than downtown Charleston but very close and easy to access downtown from this location. Lots of good restaurants close by. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was comfortable, and tidy. No complaints. By far the best feature is the pool! Perfect place for a late afternoon siesta after a long day of touring. It is huge and clean and lots of seating. It is definitely an older hotel but clean and well maintained.

The Capital Hotel is really the best if both worlds: great location, very competitively priced. It doesn't offer breakfast, but the staff are not just welcoming, they are genuinely friendly. The rooms are straight-forward and clean, the beds are soft and warm. Oh, and a great little Thai place just opened across the parking lot.

The staff was nice and they are making upgrades. The hotel is clean but the pillows and matresses are old. The paper is peeling in the rooms and the halls. This was a beautiful hotel and will be again after the renovations.

The gym is nothing more than a few treadmills, which is fine, but that's it — no weights or anything else. The elevators and lobby often smelled of weed and the hallways had an off-putting odor. The location is nice — within walking distance to pretty much all downtown destinations. I am not a picky guy, especially when paying under $100/night, so it was just OK in my opinion. Those expecting a squeaky clean stay with an excited and hospitable staff and a secure grounds to make you feel safe in the parking lot at night will definitely want to spend a few extra dollars and take their business elsewhere. If you aren't picky and don't mind just enough to be able to sleep for the night, then this is a sufficient place.

I stayed here on a few different occasions, rooms were very clean and well kept each time. Pool was my favorite part, very pretty at night! just the right temperature too! Lobby was very nice to sit and relax in, couches were comfortable and there was a wide variety of teas to choose from. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would recommend!

Prices were not the same as quoted online. A continental breakfast is included as well as ADVERTISED but was not told that they no longer serve breakfast at the moment due to reconstruction until AFTER my card was swiped for over 40.00 more than I was quoted. The toilets were stopped up, the phone did not work so I had to call the front desk from my cell to tell them any of this and on top of everything the hotel room door would not even close properly. Bright side… decent shower pressure. Next time ill take my chances at a Motel 6.

The hotel is in a good location, near lots of restaurants. The employees were very helpful and kind. The room we had was one of the last rooms available, so it wasn't our first choice in terms of layout and location. The floor in our room was wet, and the room had a musty smell. Otherwise, everything was great. The complimentary breakfast was especially nice.

Checked in very late. (11pm on Easter Sunday) women at desk was just coming on her shift and was very friendly. Chatted with me and my friends, made jokes and was very welcoming. Had good knowledge of surrounding area. Rooms were good for our needs. Rooms a bit worn (some bubbling wallpaper, broken night stand drawer) but overall good. Bed very comfortable. I had a relaxing stay.

Very nice, kind and respectful staff. Beautifully cleaned room. Perfect for family and friends! plus a pool… but no hot tub that would have been amazing! all and all 5 out of 5 stars!

Just stayed overnight for about 5 hours to catch some ZZZs, so I want looking for much. Room was $90 after taxes. Wasn't great for the money, but it was perfect for what I needed, which was a bed. Wallpaper was almost falling off the walls, elevators were really small. The bathroom seemed kind of dirty, but I never needed to use the shower. Towels were stained, and the entire lobby was under construction. Wasn't great, but it was all I needed.

Pretty good hotel, I'm sure it will be better when the renovations are complete. Only wish we were informed aderided breakfast was not being served when we checked in.

Not a great hotel. When booked, they said they had complimentary breakfast but they said they don't anymore. The rooms are okay.

Mold in the bathroom. Faulty air conditioning. One small elevator two years past due for inspection. Pool closed by inspector. One of the rooms had bugs on the pillows.

It's was bad, no vending machines, the room stank, the elavators didn't work, our TV or phone didn't work, it was bad.

I reserved my room here because they were listed on the HOG membership page. This is not a motorcycle hotel. The staff has no idea what to offer bikers nor do they have designated towels for bikes. I'm not sure why this is listed on the HOG membership page. No snacks offered in the lobby except for dogs. The one snack machine was not working. Security was not what I have experienced at other hotels as a traveling single female. They put me in the second building whereas most motels / hotels put traveling single females close to the front office. Room was clean. Lobby was nice. But I wouldn't stay here again while traveling alone on my bike. The staff was very nice in all areas.

They state it's a hotel. But it's a motel. Outdoor access to your room… People hanging out on balconies smoking & drinking. Dogs barking from rooms when walking by. It is newly remodeled which is their saving grace. Inside looks like a regular hotel room. I paid $100 more last month to book this room for tonight. Very disappointed that it's $100 cheaper now. Breakfast was impressive. The pool is renovated and very nice.

Location of Inn is great for driving into Charleston. The breakfast area was redone, the placement of food tables makes it easy to get what you want without feeling like you are bumping into people. The lobby is welcoming. Rooms spacious, and the extra sink outside if the bathroom is a plus. Very friendly staff.

The room was nice but it was very obnoxious waking up to a concrete saw cutting the pavement at 7:30am. We wouldn't have stayed at this hotel had we known we wouldn't have a peaceful morning. Very upsetting.

For the price, it was a good place to stay. Easy to get back on the highway. Comfortable beds, clean enough room, good shower. Heater was a bit loud. Staff friendly. We would stay here again.

Stayed here because they allow dogs ($20 extra per night). Looks recently remodeled. Clean rooms, quiet, friendly service, and in safe neighborhood with good restaurants near by. Pool looked really nice but unheated. It's a basic motel. Don't come here for a romantic getaway but for simple lodging you'll be fine.

We live 60 miles from Yeager airport so my husband and I stayed here for 1 night in September because we had a very early flight out. I will never stay here again. The smell in the room reminded me of urine. The pillows were lumpy and the bed sagged in the middle. The blanket was rough and smelled dirty. I was worried that the elevator would get stuck because it moved very slowly and the doors were very slow to open. There was a sign in the elevator about limiting the number of people and luggage. The lobby is very pretty but deceiving because our room was absolutely terrible.

Located in the center of town, convenient location. Just across the street from the Clay Center for the Performing Arts but I didn't have time to check it out. Prices very reasonable. Rooms ample and the king-size beds are very comfortable. Staff very nice and helpful. This hotel is being renovated and as such there are some nuisances, such as having to go to the Best Western next door for breakfast since the hotel's breakfast area is closed. Wallpaper is peeling from some areas in the room. No TV guide or schedule in room. You can hear doors slamming but this can be expected in a motel or hotel. Why people need to slam their doors is beyond me but it got quiet afterwards. The immediate area is a little rough around the edges. I was panhandled once and had to cross the street to avoid another one. Once you get to Capitol St. There are some nice shops and restaurants. Taylor Books is worth visiting as they sell both new and used stock and have a coffee bar. New title are discounted 20%. While the hotel has ample parking inner city parking is a nightmare with the one-way streets and limited parking spaces. Best to park at the Town Center Mall parking deck if you want to stay for a while. I would definitely return here and hopefully the next time they will have fixed the problems.

This place is nasty. I walked in and the room smelled of cigs and wet dog or carpet. The remote for the TV doesn't work. It's dark and just musty in here. If I could get a refund, I definitely would. The staff at the front is less than to be desired as well.

Dirty old stale rooms, bugs in room and breakfast area, cramped and uncomfortable. To many other choices nearby. Spend a little more and avoid unpacking outside to avoid bugs traveling with you. Best Western sucks from the staff to the rooms. 100% unsatisfied.

Although the price is quite reasonable and the basics are there I had to leave before my scheduled stay was supposed to end. One side of the window was glazed over and impossible to see out of and the other was covered with spider webs. But the kicker was that the rug was so dirty that when I got into the shower I found that my bare foot was as BLACK as the wall of a coal mine. Went from I can get along because I am spending little time in the room to I cannot stay here.

Wallpaper coming off the walls, tub won't drain properly so as you take a shower you end up with taking a bath as well. Walls paperthin can hear everything in the room next to you. Call front desk as the parties continue past midnight in the rooms, front desk does not do anything to stop the music, slamming doors and loud people. Will NEVER stay here again. If I could give ZERO stars I would! word to the wise do not stay at this hotel unless you are desperate and wven then you will not get a good nights sleep. And I would say avaoid the Best Western located right to this hotel as well. We ended up in this hotel after BW sent us here due to an issue on the "only floor" they had rooms available on. I should have driven straight through Charleston, WV. Will never be stopping in the area again.

The room needs some maintenance and a little better cleaning job. Sheets were clean and so was the shower. After driving 15 hours to get here we were given our room. We drove around to it and parked. We carried out two kids and our luggage upstairs and unlocked the door. We were greeted by two people who were already booked for the room. We had to go back to the office and get a different room. The manager wouldn't offer anything for our trouble. This process took over an hour and we were tired. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay in charleston for the few bucks more and enjoy your time in town.

For the price, you can't beat this place. Nice room, friendly service, pool, little gym and a breakfast makes it a good bargain. You are also within walking distance of the mall and all the good restaurants on Capitol Street. Only downside are that the elevators are a bit small and slow.

Was awesome. The desk attendants and hotel staff were very accommodating. Stayed in February and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room was a little outdated and the chairs in the rooms had stains on them, but clean room and bathroom other than that. Breakfast was alright, Waffle maker was broken, but they failed to mention that or put a sign, so I waited and waited for a waffle the never cooked. Like the free cookies in the lobby! Overall a decent hotel for the price.

I travel quite often and it is not often that you find a reasonably priced hotel. This one was great! Clean and updated, complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, and a king size bed for $67 a night. Staff was friendly and attentive. Absolutely no complaints. Thanks.

It would receive 5 stars if the carpet was cleaned and the TV was a little bit larger. The staff has excellent customer service manners.

Stayed a night while passing through town. Got in very late and had a snafu with our Expedia reservation, but they got us checked in anyway. Comfortable beds, clean room, good water pressure in the shower. Would definitely stay here again. Very easy access from the Interstate.

We were in town for our daughters wedding. We thought the staff was very friendly, room was super clean, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. We will stay here again on our next trip to Charleston. Great job everyone! We give 5 stars.

Best deal you will get for the price. Jana the front desk attendant was great. She helped my wife and I with every need we had and even gave is directions to a place we couldn't find. Room was great and already cool from ac, will stay here again definitely.

This Hotel was very dirt. The wall paper was peeling off the walls. The showers weren't clean. The front desk staff was very rude to other customers. We were missing a comforter on one of the beds and when we pulled the sheets down on both beds they were both dirt with blood stains. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very efficient and friendly staff. We arrived after a 12+ hour road trip from the Philadelphia area. On the way we had to stay in our cars for the night since we couldn't find a place to stay. We arrived here around 12:30 (check in is at 3) they got our room ready by 1. That is what I call great customer service, customer is matters. Room was very clean and no odors, plus bed is really comfortable. Will be staying here again.

WOULD NOT STAY HERE Hotel was a Marriott property but is no longer. We arrived without reservations, looking for 5 rooms and the staff was friendly, hotel was clean. All seemed well until my credit card statements came! We paid cash when leaving and they charged my card anyway. When I disputed the charge they said we stayed 2 nights and charged me AGAIN! They are thieves.

Stayed before going on a cruise. The hotel made preparations for our bus to port. Room was extremely clean and relatively nice for the price. I would recommend to family and friends. I have paid more for less.

New accents, carpet, curtains, lamp, chair, TV, and microwave plus fridge. Dressers and table are older furniture. Mattress is soft which I liked, pillows are full they were OK. Bed frame sucked. I mean sucked. The box spring was off and the bed felt like it was going to tip over. There are these metal hooks for the boxspring to be wedged in (easy fix) but I jammed my shin first. That's how I discovered them. Ouch was not my word. I like the new bathroom a lot. Housekeeping needs to remember to dust. I'm a Marriott member and I frequent this hotel on my visits. It looks better but it still feels like the old hotel that it is. Maybe the sign in the parking lot that warns you that the hotel is not responsible for any damage caused to your car that sets the wrong mood, so we spend the entire stay worrying about the car.

Stayed for three nights. All the ladies were great and very hospitable. The room was clean, newly renovated. The shower pressure was wonderful! The breakfast was great and the attendant there was better than most waitresses! Would definitely stay again.
