First time in West Virginia for a powerlifting meet. Everyone is super friendly, even the construction workers doing work on the hotel. Checking in was simple. The room is comfortable and the bed is perfect. Would definitely come back.

Clean, friendly, accommodating and centrally located.

Unaware the hotel was being renovated when making reservations through Expedia. However, our King room was 'brand new' with sliding barn door shower & bathroom doors. Lighting in bathroom was excellent for makeup application. Breakfast was typical self service food. Kudos to Tonica — "Front Desk"… this woman understands & delivers "Customer Service"… would return solely because of her professionalism.

NICE lobby… honeslty, these two motels complement each other well… I wonder if they are in buisness together? Standout.

I used to Clean rooms here and they are very, very clean, compared to other Hotels. They even fold the ends of the Toilet Paper into a Triangle, if that gives you any idea how tedious they are. The room Inspectors check every room thoroughly to make sure nothing was missed or out of place and if it was, the housekeeper then must go back and do what it was that needed done, until it is completed properly. Awesome Hotel, Friendly Staff and Environment, and very clean. I would definitely stay here and reccomend it to anyone!

Amazing staff, very helpful and friendly. My room was very clean, bed was a bit on the stiffer side, but that is always a personal preference, but still very comfortable! TV remotes could do with replacing, and possibly a better TV.

Excellent staff and service, so friendly and nice. I stay a lot for work through the Hospital and they remember your name and give you the beat room so you get the beat sleep while your there. They take time to get to know you, and the breakfast is AMAZINGFresh waffles are amaze!

What a hidden treasure! Had no idea about this place when I needed a reservation while traveling. Amazing environment; staff members are friendly, welcoming, and professional. Excellent accommodations!

Great experience at this hotel. Special thanks to Tonica at the front desk for making my experience and stay memorable. I am a travel nurse who work nights and sleeps most of the day. Tonica was considerate enough to suggest a room that was away from the common guest areas which helped reduce noise. My room was clean with a comfortable king size bed, breakfast was surprisingly delicious, and the hotel offered complimentary beverages and freshly baked cookies (nice touch). I will definitely return next time I am on assignment in WV. Thanks Tonica!

Staff is always ready to help. Very nice staff. The breakfast is pretty good as well. I have stayed here several times and will always come back. They really treat you well.

Very nice clean, comfortable rooms and exceptional, friendly service. Front desk was extremely helpful and courteous in resolving a last-minute booking mix-up. Only downside was that noise-proofing was not great; you could hear noises from the hall, like people talking or doors closing, quite easily. Still overall loved it.

We enjoyed our stay at the Wingate. The room was really nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Even though it's right by some railroad tracks, we weren't bothered by the sound even once. Showers have a massage setting that was very relaxing. Fruits and fountain drinks were available all day/night and the breakfast was great! There were so many options and everything was delicious. We did not use these amenities but they also have a whirlpool, gym and appeared to have a restaurant in house. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. For the price, this has been one of the better places we've stayed. Our only complaint would be that the cable in the rooms was super slow and unresponsive. Trying to get through any of the channels was frustrating. Using the guide was even worse. Compared to some other places we've stayed, this complaint feels a little nitpicky.

Very nice place to stay. Clean and comfortable rooms. My only wish was they they had more gluten free options for breakfast (there was the usual eggs, fruit and yogurt but no cereal or bread options). We had one minor confusion with check in (we booked 2 rooms but it looked like we were overbooked by mistake) and because it looked like our second room wasn't available one of our rooms was upgraded at no extra charge. Staff were very friendly and I enjoyed my stay. If they expand their gluten free options I would happily give this 5 stars.

I always stay at this hotel when I am in the area. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. The king deluxe rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast needs a little bit more variety, but overall has decent offerings. The weight room has hand weights which is a bonus. However, weight room could stand to be about 10 degrees cooler. Some of the fixtures could use replacing in the rooms, like the shower heads in the king deluxe rooms that are wearing out. They have good size refrigerators in the guest rooms.

Cons: Cleanliness, gets a 0 because the bathroom hadn't been cleaned prior to us checking in at midnight there were still dirty towels and dried urine all on and around the toilet, there was hair all around the faucet where someone had shaved, there were clean towels though, we inspected the sheets and they looked clean but honestly we didn't know for sure if they were. So at 1 am the front desk clerk sends someone up to clean the bathroom for us because there were no other rooms to switch to. The way they had put towels in the room could be better, they looked tossed up on the bar shelf above the toilet, and a stack of hand and wash towels on the towels bar. I've seen some unique ways to do it. They need to step there game up. It makes a better impression when there placed nicer. The eggs at breakfast had an inch of water in the pan with them. The coffee was full of coffee grounds. Pros: The motel itself was really nice, it has nice furniture, carpet, lighting. The bed was comfy. The pool next door rocked. The kids loved it. The snack machines had king sized bags and bars of snacks for a fair price. The breakfast area had a decent amount of choices and condiments, even a soda machine.

Decided last minute to stay in Charleston on our way to VA. Looked up nearby hotels and picked Wingate. Did not have a reservation Staff was very nice. CLEAN, comfortable rooms Breakfast was nice as well. I'm booking another room today for my return trip.

The hotel was very nice, the room was great and reasonably priced, and the desk workers were very helpful and courteous. But the transportation from and to the airport was very inadequate and unreliable. When I arrived at the airport, it took 45 minutes to get picked up. It seemed that both drivers were on break at the same time. Then when I returned two weeks later and had arranged for transportation at 4:30 am to the airport for a 5:40 am flight, there was no driver as of 4:55. The desk worker was about to call a cab. Fortunately, I bummed a ride from another guest at that point (driver never arrived). Even so, I came within 1 minute of being unable to check my bag and therefore make my flight. That would have resulted in my having to rebook my entire itinerary. This was very unsatisfactory and unacceptable.

Staff is super friendly and helpful, the female who checked me in knew me by name despite it being several hours after check in when I saw her. I have stayed at a number of hotels in Charleston and I am most pleased with the service and cleanliness of Wyndham. As I am here for business the availability of breakfast starting at 6 is a huge plus as is the availability of free fountain drinks. I will definitely be staying here again.

The motel is clean and updated. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is good. The staff is outstanding. I enjoyed my stay.

Not what I expected. We paid a little more to stay in a nice hotel on our way home from FL so I expected a higher level of cleanliness but was disappointed. I had to clean the pubic hair off the toilet, hair on the bathroom counter and hair on the coffee nook counter. The tray under the coffee maker and ice bucket looked like they never get wiped down. The coffee nook counter was disgusting. When I went down to get breakfast in the morning, and I was the first one there at 6 am, my shoes stuck to the floor. There was crud all over the floor. Also, the bathroom fan was broken and the main door to the room didn't lock. When we checked in at 9:30 the night before we had a pretty long wait because the front desk was understaffed and there were several of us waiting for our room. After 16 hours on the road, we just wanted to go to bed. I did give this hotel 3 stars because the beds were comfortable and Linda at the front desk was very nice and courteous. She made us feel very welcome. Won't stay here again.

We stayed for a weekend for our honeymoon and enjoyed a whirlpool room. This isn't the place for a thrifty shopper, but if your looking for some luxury and want middle of the road prices, this is the place. Contential breakfast isn't very luxury, but better than others I've been to. Staff is friendly and helpful. I'd come here again if the occasion is a special one.

So far everything is great. The room was clean, spacious, and affordable. We love the amenities that come with staying here.

Love everything from the beds to breakfast!

The staff are friendly. I had just lost my twin sister, I was a wreck. The people she called family, which I had been so nice and helpful with for over 2 years, turned on me. I needed a place to stay. I saw the sign from the interstate, thank goodness. I was beside myself and they made my stay very pleasant. Everytime I go home to WV, I stay here.

Just needed a space to crash on a road trip. Great hotel. Clean. Nice. Quiet. Better than expected breakfast.

Rooms were large and clean. Staff and service were excellent. Breakfast was better than most.

Nice and quiet environment. Good location close to highway. Friendly staff and clean room. We stayed in a King bedroom which was large with desk and free internet. My husband didn't like their soft bed and I'm fine with it. The breakfast was good.
