I had a room block set up months before my wedding. The night before my wedding I go to check in and my block has been canceled by Roseshalla Holmes was rude and very disrespectful to the point I had a breakdown in the lobby and she walked off. My card was charged $569 dollars and I still have not received my refund. I left a voice message for the manager and still no response. By far my worst experience at a hotel at one of the most important times of my life. I would never recommend this hotel or doing contracts with Roseshalla!

I enjoyed my stay here. Lots of downtown activities in the area!

Our check in was efficient and pleasant. Kizzy was an absolute delight. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Great location. When we returned from lunch, Michael greeted us. Again, very friendly staff.

Growing up in the area it was nice to visit again. This hotel has changed names many times and I was fearful it was old and outdated. Absolutely not. The suite was perfect and staff was very welcoming…

Very Clean and nice spacious rooms. Customer Service at Front Desk is awesome. Manager is FABULOUS! A very friendly and nice atmosphere. Nice view of the river from my room.

Absolutely filthy room! I’m praying none of us picked up something gross during the short time we were in the room! Nothing was cleaned! Beer box left in room on floor, stains that were sticky all over floors, desk, walls, doors, hairs from previous guest in shower and on couch, stained blankets that didn’t appear washed, couch was disgusting, all fixtures were dirty, just filth all over! It was clear nothing was actually cleaned. Literally every surface was disgusting to the point my daughter was crying worried about having to sleep there, we were afraid to even touch a single surface! I will be notifying corporate and let me tell you, I’m a pretty understanding person but this was beyond gross! Do not stay here! Absolutely grossed all four of us out! Unacceptable especially in a time of a pandemic! Checked out and found a fabulous and clean room at The Embassy!

Easy access, reasonable parking fee. Staff was great, very friendly and informative. Room was clean and comfortable.

The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a bar (a little expensive) and a restaurant. Breakfast was delicious! My husband had the sausage gravy and biscuits that were the best we’ve ever tasted! I had the smoked salmon bagel, high recommend. There’s a shuttle service that will take you anywhere within 5 miles, 24 hours a day. There’s a ton of bars and restaurants in walking distance. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. We stayed 1/11-1/12 2020. To all the staff working this past weekend, thank you for your hospitality. We will definitely be back.

It was just my husband and myself however we’d happily go back and bring our kids.
They were accommodating and so friendly. The staff provided several options depending what we were interested in each night/day!

Gina and all the staff here are phenomenal. They get absolutely slammed every Friday during live on the levee but still go the extra mile to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible.

Gina is absolutely great! She goes above and beyond in every situation to accommodate hotel guests. I have stayed multiple times and Gina has always been very courteous, joyful, and motivated to serve guests promptly.

Great place to stay! Very clean, comfortable beds, nice location and super nice staff! Kizzy at the front desk was so nice and helpful! Gina was great, she was busy and had a scheduled pickup but took the time to drive me to the store to get a few things! We will definitely be staying again next year on our way through!

We attended a wedding reception and catered dinner. The wedding reception had plenty of finger foods to hold you over to the dinner. The catering staff was very polite and passed out trays of food very often making sure everyone was taken care of. The dinner setting was AMAZING. The catering staff did a wonderful job decorating and placing the arrangements on the tables. The staff was very polite and refilled our drinks regurly. We had an amazing time!

Nice hotel, comfortable beds and a good but limited breakfast menu. Geared more for leisure stays but I was there on business. Would be nice if there were microwaves in the room for leftovers. You can get a small fridge for your room. Overall I like it though.

We absolutely love the Four Points in downtown Charleston. It has an amazing view of the waterfront. As soon as you walk through the sliding glass doors, you are greeted with nothing but respect from the staff and even guests. The upkeep of this hotel is remarkable. Also, the location of the hotel is very convenient as it is within walking distance of all restaurants, bars and mall.

We stopped in for the night as we were heading back home from our trip to Asheville NC. Not overly pleased at all for the cost of the room! We were given a room that overlooked a rooftop and it had flood lights shining in towards our window, the privacy screen / shade did not work so we had to load our own luggage back up that was now opened and situated in the room and pack it to another room down the hall. There was just a few staff members seen and the young lady at the desk was being overwhelmed with calls and request that you had to wait to get serviced. There was no complimentary breakfast offered and the A/C unit in the room was very loud but it was needed to run constantly to keep the room comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Not worth the money put out for the nights stay! We should of picked something less money and probably would of been much more satisfied!

Worst hotel. AC/thermostat doesn't function at night. Seriously. It's motion sensor activated so they can save money. You will have hot unpleasant nights. I got up every hour all fricking night just to wave at it so I wouldn't bake. I have slept better at every single hotel I've ever been in. I have slept better on air mattresses at camp sites and basements. The bathtub has both water/temperature controls and shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers very high up, making it unusable for people taking a bath. No extra tea bags will be given, you can not get even one more. Only 8 pool towels, and they don't get replaced through the day. Sometimes shampoo or conditioner dispensers are empty. Cheer up though, they smell horrible. Bring your own.

We just stayed here overnight on our way home from Washington DC, the room was nice I would recommend that you fix the broken drawer in the room but other than that I would recommend this place.
I love the shower body wash, shampoo and conditioner dispensers. That is such a great way to cut down on the amount of plastic we are using now days.
We loved the river view and would recommend this to others when passing through.

We spent the night in Ripley because we went to see The Van-Dells in Spencer and I wasn't going to drive home late. It was a great show, as usual, and we slept like babies. My Mother is 78, can't walk, and has Dementia. She loved the room, breakfast, and fast check-in and check-out. Thank You for accommodations for her wheelchair, and accessible parking.

I spent most of the time at the hotel if not in my room then at the downstairs bar. The weekday bartender Tasha is super sweet and really takes care of her customers. Liquor selection is pretty basic but it should serve anyone who isn't too fussy. Checkin was simple and pleasant and the room was as nice as one would expect. There is ample parking in the garage next door. Did not use any other facilities at the building, but from what I saw the meeting rooms looked nice enough.

I was in a suite and it was a very awesome room not to mention that the service at both the front desk and the house keeping were awesome and super helpful for anything I needed. Being downtown on the river was very cool and I beautiful scene from my room window. All in all it was definitely a 5 star experience.

Visited this hotel for a job offer for my husband. The hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. There was a lady at the bar that was very sweet and fun. Helped her make a drink. We had fun. :) I have some fond memories of West Virginia. ❤❤

This location was excellent! The facility is clean and very well maintained rooms. However, the best part was the staff. When I booked the location through Priceline there were some issues but Jackie, the evening supervisor, was so wonderful in making sure everything was taken care of. When we checked in, Sue and Gina were so pleasant and welcoming. Gina went out of her way to ensure we found parking and offered her assistance in bringing in our luggage. Sue was very kind and friendly. These ladies really offered the highest customer service I have received at a hotel. Cindy was also very engaging and made the experience even better. These ladies are amazing and truly improved my travel experience.

Is midnight, I drove for 6 hours, my wife and a 4 and 7 year old children are extremely tired. First, Jackie from the lobby, could not find us in the system, so I needed to call Expedia. Second, it took 20 minutes to get the credit card to go through. Jackie is not being really helpful, finally she manages to get the credit card approved. Kids are tired and want to go to sleep ASAP. Jackie hand me off the keys of my 712 room and forgets to activate them so I can’t open the door. She is still is a very bad attitude when I told her what happened… I ask if getting us breakfast can be a good gesture for all the trouble. She hands me Over 2 “$1 dollar BF value ticket” and I said we are four in total here, she says abruptly, is just 2 per room! Lastly, I had to park far away in the parking lot because they don’t allow me to park right by the hotel. Worst hotel in town. Please stay away.

We stopped here on our way through Charleston and could not have been more pleased. When we arrived it was raining and a woman came out with an umbrella for me. How amazing is that! The man at reception was very nice and had a great sense of humor. I was already feeling like I was at a home away from home kind of place. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We stopped at the bar for a drink before heading out for dinner (Pies & Pints… Yum! ) and were taken care of like we were old friends. We could not have been happier with our stay. Everyone at the hotel is so nice and welcoming it just made our stay so great. We will definitely be staying here every time we are traveling through.

No breakfast, no alarm clock in room, they do not clean room, just make beds, put towels, bottle of water and that's it…, bathroom counter top untouched, if you dropped food on tables they do not even bother to clean, don't know when they last vacuumed, bathroom floor has last occupants footprint near tub which stayed there for two days before I called " guest services"… have to ask for replenishment of bathroom toiletries, coffee creamer, stirrer, sugar etc. Pay for parking, reception is understaffed (I waited for 10 minutes without receptionist even once looking up from computer to acknowledge me), hotel restaurant food substandard and expensive, … only plus is location is perfect for my job… I would never ever ever come on my dime and stay in this money hole.

Is a short walk to convention center. Could have a little more parking. Nice friendly night time front desk lady.

Second time staying here. Rooms are good sized and nicely updated. We have two kids and there was plenty of room for two toddler travel beds in the king room. Pool is nice and staff was very helpful.

This is a beautiful hotel! The hotel restaurant had the best breakfast that I’ve ever had in a hotel. I had an awesome view of the Kanawha river. The staff is attentive and the place is clean.

The hotel is clean and staff is absolutely amazing. Downfall, room service, bad, and stuff in the little market is way over priced! Even more so for a hotel. I expect some markup when I stay somewhere but 12 bucks for a cocktail is a little extreme and 4 bucks for a SMALL bag of nuts? Advice: Bring your own snacks and booze. Don't eat onsite and everything will be peachy.

Wonderful hotel in the perfect location for walking all of downtown Charleston! We had a king room right on the river on a high floor and had the best view of the river, happenings below, and the pretty ridge the other side of the river. I neglected to take a photo but the room was decorated in very comfortable colors with a full wall of windows. The bed was super comfy and I never even woke up during the night. Check in was easy with Carrie helping me out with parking, walking ideas, and a array of menus for pizza… Thank you again Carrie! And I will add that all employees we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has many choices for food itself, including a huge sports bar attached at the back of the hotel, and there are more places to eat anywhere within an easy walk. Can't wait to head to Charleston again for a longer stay! When we do, the Four Points Sheraton will again be our vacation spot.

This hotel is not worth $100+ a night! I've stayed in Red Roof Inns and Motel 6 rooms that have more amenities them this place. $110 for a room with no microwave, no refrigerator, the trash cans in the room had no bags and there was no complimentary hand soap or shampoo. Oh wait… the best part… on top of paying for your room you have to pay $10 a day for parking your car in the hotel lot! How elsewhere, you will get more for your money at most other places!

No value. Inconsiderate staff. The location was convenient and the room was nice. The walls were paper thin and housekeeping and maintenance staff were extremely loud in the morning and inconsiderate. No microwave, no fridge, no breakfast and parking was $10. Stay somewhere else where you get more value. Definitely not up to the standards of other SPG properties. Pass. Pass. Pass.

Singular worst hotel experience in 35 years of travel. It's hard to find a hotel I can't give five stars. They gave my room away to another guest, with me in it. A nice lady opened my door while I was stretching on the floor trying to do yoga, naked. Then they locked me out of my room. If I had been away, what would have happened to my valuables? Do not trust this hotel.

The location is great… the hotel was fine but not exceptional for the price. For the price you should have free parking and maybe even breakfast included. Fortunately, we did have a good time at our function.

I honestly expected this place to be nicer. It was fine but nothing special. It looks like the exterior got a facelift but not the rooms. Id stay here again but only if I got a nice price.

Our stay at the Four Points was a mixed bag marred by several issues. We were part of a wedding party hosted by the hotel. Pros: — Beautiful location on the Kanawha River. — Clean and comfortable rooms. The beds were warm and cozy. They conveniently have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash "on tap" in the shower. — Well put together lobby and lounge, including access to computers and printers. — I can't vouch for food or drinks made to order, but the food prepared for the reception was above average, no complaints there. Cons: — Somewhat greedy policy on room rates. The mother of the groom arrived two days early to spend more time with the family and was not offered the discounted wedding rate for the extra nights. Other family members reported finding a much lower rate for these nights online, so this was a slap in the face for a senior citizen and member of the wedding party. — Service was average to less than average. Front desk staff were helpful enough but lacked the warmth and social skill you typically expect from hospitality workers. I wasn't greeted or asked how they could help, I had to initiate conversation. Two of the reception staff were arguing about outside of work issues, including colorful language within earshot of guests. — We had an elevator scare at one point. When we reached our floor the doors opened about three inches before grinding to a halt.

Good location in Charleston. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was included with my rate but I didn't eat. There is a nice sports bar Attached to the hotel with good food and a nice beer selection. I would recommend this hotel if you are planning on a stay in Charleston, WV.

Rooms are very clean and in great condition. Location is very central in town. Breakfast on site is priced reasonably. Hoping to make it to the pool tonight. Would have been 5 stars if I had a small refrigerator in my room.

I have stayed @ this hotel 4 or 5 times over the past year, but have much found better value elsewhere in Charleston with 2 or 3 other hotels. The sound level in the rooms is loud, mostly thin walls + noisy AC units. Definitely bring your earplugs. The amenities and available dining are nothing to write home about. Be careful regarding their cancellation policy — the hotel would not let me out of a multi-day reservation after a death occurred in my immediate family. Even as a Starwood — preferred guest and more than 24 hours notice.

Room was nice and clean, but the hotel was suppose to be 210 dollars, so far they have took out 550 dollars and I called them, three different numbers later they tell me to call the front desk back… ended up talking to Barbra and she tells me it isn't her problem… very nice customer service, if it wasn't 550 dollars a night it would be four stars.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, and plenty of parking. Parking is $10 a night but free for short visits. Within walking distance of the mall, shopping and various government offices. Great river views.

Didn't receive any requests. Soap dispenser empty in shower. Reservationist took the time to ask if we were celebrating any special occasion to which I replied 3 separate ones actually. So of course I expected something in the room upon arrival but nothing ever arrived so that was a waste of her and my time. Location is good close to restaurants and nice view of river. $10 for parking. The breakfast for $1 room rate wasn't understood by staff since they charged an additional $1 per person for breakfast. There is no light by coffee machine making it really difficult to brew a cup. May or may not stay here again.

The staff was friendly and the hotel was nicely appointed. The rooms are spacious and clean. The Flatbread pizza at the bar was delicious. The only negative was the shower. The water completely shut off twice during my shower. Apparently they were working on the lines. :-/ It was quite disconcerting though to lose water for several minutes with shampoo still on your head.

I've been staying at the Four Points by Sheraton Charleston in West Virginia for close to a year. The staff are practically family, particularly Mike, Kizzy, Sue, Heather, Connie, Terrell, and Victor! I enjoyed all of the conversation, and it made being away from home for so long much easier to deal with. My room was always cleaned regularly, and I never lacked for towels. The location is in perfect walking distance of several bars, restaurants, a movie theater, and a mall. Mike is the shuttle driver in the afternoon and will take you anywhere you want him to go within 5 miles. Tip him well, hes a great dude! Ask for a river facing room if you are staying here, the view is fantastic, and if you are staying in the summer, Live on the Levee is right outside on the street along with many other events held throughout the year. Would definitely come back!

We stayed overnight on a drive from Baltimore to Berea Kentucky taking one of her daughters to college. And then on to Chicago to take the other one to her College. The stopover at Charleston was a perfect place for the long drive to Kentucky. The Four Points Sheraton had comfortable beds, friendly service and a great view of the river. We're make this out regular stop when driving to Kentucky.

This place really impressed. Even though I couldn't check in they still allowed me to park while I went to a meeting. The shuttle service to anywhere within 10 miles is really top notch.

Great value for a hotel. People were friendly, room was clean, parking was easy and the food in the restaurant downstairs was good. The pool is small but gets the job done if traveling with little ones and the exercise room was more than adequate. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Four Points is an excellent stay! Over looks the Levee in Charleston and gives its customers great views of the river. In addition, if you are a Pokemon Go fan, there is a great three Pokestop area just outside the building! Along with a great magikarp (gotta get them candies! ) and dratini spawn area.
