Nice staff and comfortable bed.

Dirty, not swept, really dusty, sink not in bathroom out in bedroom area, shower soap dispenser didn't work. Pillows flat, only 2 wash rags for 4 people, staff at check in very nice when we shared our concerns and you could here people walking above us all night. Would not recommend.

The Bath tub was dirty, there were crumbs on the carpet. The coffee Maker did not work nor the lamp next to the sofa. The shower gel was empty. The Shampoo was empty. Oh but the room was sealed shut after cleaning and they left wet wipes for the phone and remote. What a joke.

Stayed here multiple times. Nice staff clean and spacious.

There is an indoor pool, the staff is friendly and very accommodating, the rooms are nice and clean.

We checked in late. The front desk clerk was so friendly and happy. I don’t know if I ever received such a warm welcome and greeting! The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was very firm and the temperature in the room was perfect!

Filthy! No hot breakfast because they are concerned about corona virus but the rate still includes “hot breakfast”. They are so concerned about safety they let motorcycles block the sidewalk/fire egress.

We stayed here one night on our drive home to Indiana from Virginia. It was clean and quiet with a nice breakfast. Perfect for a quick stay during a road trip. Unfortunately when we got home later in the day after checking out, my son's brand new reading glasses were missing. I called the Holiday Inn and asked if they'd been turned in. They had not, however, the staff said they'd leave my name on a list for lost and found items. A few days later, I got a call that the glasses had been turned in and they would mail them to me. Woo-hoo! We very much appreciate the staff helping us find the missing glasses!

This place just feels dirty to the point that after 10 minutes in the room I started itching. I'm sure it was just the mental image. But that should explain how this hotel comes across. Even the couch pillows have rips and holes in them. I'm glad it's only one night.

I really like this hotel. It's right off the freeway. The breakfast they serve in the morning is decent. They have a machine that makes pancakes fresh, albeit they're not great like buttermilk pancakes. They've also got bagels/pastries, cereals, and eggs/sausages. The room itself was fairly clean and the staff are nice. Considering it's a 2 star hotel it's nice.

Location is nice right off the highway and just past town on the way to Raleigh. Really just popped in for a few hours sleep on a long drive. The bed was nice, pillows were amazing like all the HI-Ex seem to have now. Didn't get to see breakfast due to crazy schedule. Very nice, solid hotel room!

Only reason they don’t get 5 stars is the lack of parking otherwise it was fantastic! Came to Charleston for State Police testing initially booked at Red Roof Inn across the street, but decided I didn’t want to get murdered in my sleep so I canceled and switched to Holiday Inn. Was not disappointed room was clean, smelled great, well lit, and was a good price for the quality. 10/10 would recommend staying here for anyone passing through!

Had a great stay staff was very good hotel was clean pool and spa hit the spot after 9 hours on the road.

This place is about as expected for this chain. It is very busy because of location right off the Interstate. Don't expect to get a room if you're traveling through. The parking could use about 50 more spots. Room was nice and breakfast was standard. Did not use anything else here.

First floor rooms had musty smell but they were clean. The staff was very friendly. The guy at the front desk gets 5 stars. Good hotel in general.

Great night staff! We were arriving late evening and no parking spaces available. Staff was leaving in an hour, so gave us his spot, excellent customer service! Yummy hot breakfast and easy check out! Toilet/shower room tight with large door opening inward. Room size average and fine for 1 night. Had to make up the couch for 3rd person in the room, don't know if that's Std. Practice at Holiday Inn. Would stay again if passing through the area, decently clean and fairly quiet at full capacity.

Delightful personnel, very good breakfast with many choices, clean spacious rooms. Rooms near interstate are a little noisy but it does quiet down. I would definitely stay here again.

Thanks for going above and beyond to assist my sailor, my husband and I as were struggling to figure out the best plan to get him to his base and us on our way home. It was awesome to be able to make a call and Patrice simply say "sure, we can accommodate you. Just let me know how we can help! " Our stay was great, room was very nice and breakfast hit the spot! Again, thank you; we appreciate your hospitality and kindness.

We didn't stay there but the lady behind the desk was very very helpful and helped me print my boarding passes really appreciate Holiday Inn Express Holiday Inn Express.

Very pleasant experience the rooms are really nice and clean nice Pool and sauna and they the help the employees and the staff they were all awesome just all in all five star is all I can tell you it was a really good stay really good people really good place.

Good hotel. Nice sized and clean rooms with easy access to highway. Biggest drawback is location, as it is a bit of a drive into downtown, and most of the local restaurants are chains.

We had a great experience here, so glad we chose this hotel. Ashley at the front desk was very friendly, professional and friendly. A great asset to your company. The natural salt water pool and hot tub was fabulous, so relaxing and warm. Definitely coming back!

Definitely will stay there again had a great room, with very nice staff. Amenities were great.

Aside from the fact that it seemed a little pricey to me compared to similar hotels/rooms, I had a great experience. We got a suite, and the room was great. It was large, spacious, and clean. Nice decor and comfortable. The bed was in a separate room with a door, which really comes in handy when you have a toddler that goes to bed before you do. I found the bed to be comfortable too. We also used the pool was clean and the perfect temperature, as was the hot tub. We didn’t eat breakfast there as it was Easter weekend and spring break time so the breakfast area was PACKED, so we opted to hit a drive thru. Overall I’m pleased with our stay.

This one is so much better then the country inn right beside it. They have a great staff and the hot tub was amazing. I have stayed here about 5 times in the past 2 years. The HIE is one of my favorites.

Quit stop, had truck parking, main reason, but got last spot avail. Street parking only. Room was real hot but they had it set at 90° that was just not necs.

We always stay at HIE because they are consistent. We know what to expect and the free breakfast is nice too! This one met all our expectations. The front desk guy who checked us in put us all the way at the end of the hall, which was great because that meant there was one less room for our 2 year old to potentially disturb. Said 2 year old also enjoyed running all the way down to our room. The room was clean and up to date, had a fridge, microwave and Keurig. Breakfast was standard for HIE. Would stay again!

People coming and going all night. Party in the room next to ours beginning at 3am. Lots of noise. Bed not comfortable. We had prepaid and front desk still wanted credit card for $10 hold for incidental charges? What could be incidental? There is no restaurant or phones in room. We will never stay here again… and I am usually loyal to this rewards program.

One of the greatest places to stay in history. When god created the 8th day they created the holiday inn.

It is a struggling Holiday Inn Express. First off I was given a key to a room that someone was already in and in bed when entering the room. They were kind enough to give me a suite that overlooked where my car was parked because there are no security cameras. It was clean and are making strides into the right direction. Breakfast was good.

The room was pretty good overall, but the bed was a little stiff and there also wasn't a DND sign available in the room so housekeeping knocked a little early. Also, the photos for the hotel on Expedia showed and outdoor pool, but it was indoor. The spaces in the parking lot are too small and the rows are too close together so it made parking difficult as two hotels use the same lot. But, besides these somewhat minor issues the rest of the stay went fine. Great pillows.

A perfectly fine and decent Motel experience. Good quality for the price, and overall a nice room. I didn't test it, but the window actually has a screen in it and should open, which is a rare amenity in hotels these days, unfortunately. Room did not spell bad or have other issues that some places have, and the air conditioner was reasonably quiet. Ideally, I still would like the experience to be a little quieter, in terms of heating and cooling, but this is pretty good as budget motels go.

Service and hospitality easily above average however I was at break fast and attempted to get some turkey sausage since I cant eat pork for religious reasons she stops me half way to tell me to use the one that's been touching the bacon instead of the one touching the eggs instead of having one for each. I have never felt such odious behavior from a hotel in my whole life. Why not have one for every plate instead of cross contaminating everything. Youd think they'd have common sense but thats asking to much.

Our visit was a disappointing one. This was not very nice in the our room. The bedding was old and wrinkled not like the usual new crisp bedding that your chain uses. It was not vacuumed beside the beds. Trash down next to bed. And the tub/ shower had hair in it that would have come out of it had been wiped out. We always use your chain but not so sure now. The lobby and common spaces were clean and very nice. I even took pics of the bedding. The dust ruffles placements were totally messed up.

Clean, comfortable, super friendly and accommodating staff! This is the 2nd or 3rd time me and my family have stayed at this hotel. Breakfast is well stocked and freshly made, the fitness center is more than adequate and the pool is clean and well kept. True to their word, I forgot my toothbrush and toothpaste and both were happily provided for me by the front desk staff. Stayed for 2 nights and would be very happy to stay longer. Try to book early as this location is extremely popular and does fill to capacity fairly often.

Had no problems at all. The staff were very nice and cordial. The hotel was very nice and clean. I have no complaints at all. I recommend a visit and if I'm in the area again, I will stop and use the hotel again.

They say it is a "No Smoking" hotel but they let people smoke in their rooms and the smoke filters into other rooms. You get to listen to the guests next to you talk on their cell phones because the walls are thin and if your room is on the highway side, the traffic noise is very obnoxious. Overall it is a cheap-o hotel. Spend the extra money and stay at a Marriott properties. Your night of sleep is worth it.

Clean, comfortable room. Bathroom was very small, tight space… Opening the door barely cleared the toilet.

They say there's "no frills" with that price, but there certainly was! There was a complementary indoor pool, fitness center, AWESOME breakfast (healthy options, freshly baked pastries, eggs, sausage and gravy etc), 24 coffee and small snacks (instant grits, oatmeal, apples) in the lobby, and our room even came with a living room (second TV, couch, coffee table, etc) even though we got the cheapest room! The only downside is our hair dryer didn't work and the free Wi-Fi was too slow to use. I am giving it five stars for all the other extras! And the staff was very nice and helpful.

Room below me ran their shower and it was so loud in my room I had to put headphones on. It took me 10 minutes to post this because the Internet was that slow. 009 down. It's cheaper for a reason.
