Nice room, clean lobby and pool. Bathroom was a bit small, but still perfect for two people.

No room service, no breakfast, no restaurant, no valet, no internet. Yes, it says internet but you can’t get it connected. It says insecure & then doesn’t connect. It’s clean but if that’s all you want, go to Holiday Inn. We wanted to take our mother someplace special after a concert. Wrong choice. This used to be the best in town.

Easy access to everything, pool was very nice.

Certainly an older hotel. However, everyone was extremely friendly. The room was clean, and they have wonderful water pressure. The water coming out of the shower is probably the best I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. You can get a good hot shower there for sure!

The first room we were provided hadn’t been cleaned. All of the dirty bath towels were in a corner of the bathroom. When I went to the front desk I was advised “the room was checked as being cleaned, so I don’t understand why the towels were on the floor. ” We were provided a different. However, when we tried to open the door, the keys didn’t work. So, had to be provided another set of keys, that did work. When we first checked in there were no moving carts available. I was informed that “we have a couple of weddings tonight, so they probably used the carts”. And, there were no busboys to assist us. My wife and I are in our 70s, so it wasn’t easy to carry everything up to our rooms-took me three trips. Once we checked in, it was getting late, so we went to the “restaurant” off the lobby. But, we had trouble finding a “clean” table. It appeared that they hadn’t cleaned the tables after they were used by other customers. All-in-all, not a great experience. Doubt we will stay in this Marriott again……. And, over the years I’ve stayed in many Marriotts, and an a Lifetime Platinum card member, so this was particularly distressing…. Now used to so many issues……

This has been the worse stay at a Marriott ever. My stay lasted 4days and housekeeping was non existent I would have to stick my trash and towels outside of the room in order for it to be picked up. I had to go to the front desk for fresh towels and toilet paper. The Wi-Fi is TERRIBLE! The Wi-Fi would continuously kick you off causing multiple emails to not go through. The Wi-Fi was slow and even when you upgraded to the higher Wi-Fi it was terrible too. The reservations for the pool did not accommodate for everyone. They let a high school book for an hour and 30minutes of pool time and were unable to make a reservation, the one reason I booked this hotel was for the pool and we were unable to use it for most of the stay. Starbucks is also part of their advertising which is a far stretch from it. They have black Starbucks coffee in the hotel lobby that is all! I could go on and on about the crap service that was given. There was a lady at the front desk who was always very friendly, but minus that the $199 a night price tag is way over price for the mediocre place.

We were vendors for a wedding here tonight, and your security guard John Wheeler, was so sweet and helpful. He went above and beyond to help my partner and I get all our heavy equipment to the 3rd floor! We greatly appreciated the help, you have a great guy working for you!

We just arrived and the person in front desk was so rude, he couldn't find our reservation, he was giving us back our card and ID while we asked to check again and we gave our confirmation number… the thing is how rude he was, this doesn't seem like a Marriot at all!

Overpriced for the amenities… 1 king 2 guests… hotel restaurant closed even though Chili’s and Outback Steak house are open… bar closed… no continental breakfast just coffee in the morning… no cable TV… Wi-Fi $9.95 a day unless your a Marriotts rewards member… no free parking… all for $170 dollars a night… should have gone to Embassy Suites!

We had an absolute blast celebrating CHRISTMAS with our PA grands & their parents! The suite was spacious and so spotless!

We had our Girl Scout Cookie Taste Off there. Wonderful and kind staff.

I was there for my cousins funeral and they were very helpful with a lot of the events that my cousins family put on at the hotel. Nice rooms, comfortable beds and pretty good food in the restaurant.

I loved it. I always stayed in Marriott hotels whenever I’m travelling. Marriott Charleston is a quite place, you can relax and the staff are very friendly and accommodating specially Conching (F&B staff). Thank you Conching for your kindness Thumbs up Marriott.

We had a wedding reception. On the roof. Pretty good staff. And good MC for our dances and intros. Pay parking. Elevators a little outdated. Looks nice from outside. Beside the Town Center.

Nice rooms, and they get the little things which make a stay that much better: great water pressure in the showers, comfortable beds. Pool is ok for lap swimming, with a rooftop area that's nice for yoga right outside the exercise room. Parking is a bit confusing if you don't go check in first. Restaurant also makes a good burger.

Great customer service! the front desk lady Amanda did everything on her power to find us a room. We stayed for the EANGUS conference and she was outstanding. Her supervisor wasn’t to collaborative, but she stood up and did what was right for the costumer. She needs to be on that supervisor’s position. Great job!

We were here for our elks state convention and had a great time in and around the hotel and city proper. From the moment we arrived we were well treated by the hotel staff. And found the hotel clean and well appointed. Nice closed roof parking garage, as, well. The pool is ok but with no hot tub a bit disappointing overall. The outside deck area was very nice and right off the pool with a pool entrance as well as a separate entrance for when the pool was closed. Our meetings rooms were well set up and everything was always on time. The banquet food was a bit off but those areas that lacked were made up by the banquet staff who were not only attentive but new how to complete their job. I would recommend this property for a visit.

The hotel was very clean. The people that worked there were very helpful. In particular house keeping was very quick to take care of changing out down pillows and comforters for regular pillows and comforters for those that had an allergy in our group.

The location is perfect whether traveling or if this is your home. It is a beautiful hotel with friendly staff. The Charleston Town Center Mall has all the eating and shopping you could want, so it is definately and all in one place to stay.

Nice hotel but room TV remote doesn't work well. Buttons are hard to push. Room service is good and fast. Located right across from the mall.

The service was great! Every person I spoke with was very helpful and nice. The rooms left a bit to be desired. They were very bare minimum. There was a warm $3.50 bottle of water waiting. It seemed clean. I would stay there again as the price for what was offered overall was decent.

Great rooms, comfortable big beds. Room was pretty clean, everything is spotless. Breakfast is very tasty and fresh. Friendly and helpful staff. The location is close to everything you might need. Didn't ask for room services, but if it is like the rest, it should be very good as well.

My family have been very loyal Marriott customers for many years. My husband and I have nearly 2000 nights at Marriott properties. Last year we fell off of platinum elite status. We lost all benefits and apparently service. My stay at this hotel did not provide me with any notable good customer service. The staff went out of their way to say no to my request for a cup of coffee down stairs prior to the opening of the restaurant. I asked for complimentary access to the concierge lounge and was adamantly denied despite our long history of loyalty. The hotel itself is nice. That means little to me when I don’t get good service and loyalty as a long standing and excellent patron. See ya!

We arrived at 6:45pm and we had a reservation. We were told our room wasn’t ready yet and it would be a few minutes. It was probably close to 30 minutes before we were able to check in. We received a free breakfast for everyone in our room because of the wait. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. I’ve stayed there several times and I will stay again but I still do not understand why our reserved room was not ready when we arrived that late in the evening.

Nice, older Marriott. Rooms could use updating. Staff is friendly & accommodating. Food in the restaurant is ok, there's a mall across the street with good restaurants flanking the opposite end & side. Easy access to freeways.

The company bed and linens are comfy, everything is clean, and we had enough towels. We used their gym twice, and it had all the necessities. An indoor pool and adjoining rooftop patio are bonuses. Only complaint is there was no mini fridge!

Staff was very rude. Manager had to step in due poor job / customer relations attitude. The elevator to the parking garage broke down with me in it. I simple requested that we get a call to our room once it was operational and repaired. (I crawled out between floors) 8 hours later we still not received a call so I proceeded to inquire at the front desk as to the status of the elevator. I got a very inquisitive look and told that Jim the pretty sure it's working so I went over and had not been repaired if it just been reset and I'd ask them if they thought that was sufficient given that hit it just broke down and could left me stuck between floors. The very uneducated and rude front desk employee said that's all that she could do and I said well I would like to speak to a member hotel management not a shift manager because my daughter refuses to get on the elevator and I'm not going to carry our luggage up four flights of a parking garage because you guys don't feel this is an issue. By this time the family had came down from the room and was standing quietly off to the side in the lobby waiting for me to conclude so we could go out to dinner.

It is a nice hotel with pool, laundry, and fitness center. It's across the street from the mall which makes shopping or catching a movie no problem. I wasn't a fan of paying extra for Wi-Fi, parking, breakfast, etc. These are, at least in my experience, included in the room price.

It was 31 degrees on Monday when I arrived. My room was freezing and the cold air kept blowing out of my register no matter how high I turned up the thermostat. I changed rooms the next morning and then found out that night when the second room was freezing that the heat had been turned off and the air conditioner had been turned on because there was ONE warm day last week. They couldn't change back because it took hours to do it and there was no way for individuals to have their own thermostat working on either heat or cold. Who turns on the air conditioning in February when it is 31 degrees and turns off the heat?

The rooms are gorgeous and inviting. White down bedspreads and sheets are immaculately made up on the beds. There are alarms on the phone to wake you up and it is very easy to make the call to the front desk. The staff greets you coming and going and; are always helpful in assuring your every need. There is a great buffet breakfast with something to meet everyones taste and diet. There is an open bar, lounge area, which is open and comfortable. The views are warm and sunny!

Clean, attractive, physical plant. Lobby has nice conversation seating areas. Fireplace. Pleasant, friendly and attentive staff. Event planner easy to work with for setting up a conference. Larry, 30+ years in food service department, wonderful man! Great food.

The employees certain ingredients made my stay pleasurable. They went out of their way to be gracious. The first person was the desk clerk — Seth. He could not have been nicer. Then I met the concierge — Jerrmy. He was very informative about the hotel, then he enabled me in resolving a minor question. Later, the evening manager and the desk attendant, I forgot her name. Both were wonderful to talk with and could not do enough for the hotel guests. The entire staff should be commended on their "Can Do" approach.

Very clean and beautiful interior! Seemed like they needed more help at the receptionist desk. Very kind and generous staff. Would go there again for sure!

My experiences have been more with the meeting rooms for conferences. The facilities are clean and the staff helpful. The coffee is excellent. The catering is also excellent. Accommodations were made without stress for special diets. I can't say enough how much that is appreciated considering other local hotels made no accommodation whatsoever.

Went to a large birthday party there. Food was excellent although I believe it was catered from outside. The conference room was clean and we'll maintained. Overall I had no complaints.

We stayed one night. We had two joining rooms. We ordered room service. Food was good and service great. Valet let us park overnight right next to the enterance, a special parking spot.

Not much to look at, but the staff really took care of us. The bell hop gave us a front area parking spot close to the building, brought up our luggage, went back down and brought up 3 luggage racks, and then went to the executive lounge to get us water (executive lounge is closed on Friday-Sunday). Best service in a long time for a U. S. Based hotel.

The Marriott is a very professional environment. The company I work for usually has its events in one of Marriott's social gatherings. Each event I have gone to the staff working for the Marriott is very polite, hard-working oh, and has the customers needs as a priority. The food served is always excellent and if any other company was looking for a place to hold events. I would recommend the Marriott every time.

First time we had ever been there for the breakfast buffet; the omelet bar was obviously the best feature. Best in Charleston.

We made reservations weeks in advance. We were told when we arrived, after driving all day long, that an event held there would be loud until midnight. Little did we know that at 12:22 a. M. Our hotel room would still be thumping from the music being played. And this was five floors down. Poor people on the floors closer to the madness! Had we known how horrible this would be we would have canceled and kept on driving. I think it is the height of audacity by management to think that this "event" is worthy of keeping hundreds of paying guest captive to this excruciating noise. I hope the cause was worthy, because guests, who had no knowledge prior and no participation in the event paid dearly. Yikes!

Enjoyed my two night stay. Staff was courteous and responsive. Room was clean and overall cleanliness throughout hotel.

This property is in a very good location, had nice amenities, and an incredibly polite staff. The free parking for using mobile check is a great touch as well. They also have one of the best club sandwiches I've ever had, although it may have been the free wine in the concierge lounge (no liquor or beer available there, unfortunately). All that being said, the location is showing it's age. It's time for an update, but please keep the charm and staff.

Overall, the room was nice. I didn't not partake in any of the available room service offerings as I only stayed a single night. The employees were very accommodating, however I was surprised that the cost of parking was not included in the fees. $15 to park in the Marriott owned deck seemed a little step in my opinion.

The reason I was given for a lack of hot grab and go sandwiches at the coffee bar was that, the buffet was going. Fun fact, the buffet runs all week. I won't get started on the evening service… The rooms are fine, some of the food is decent, and bless their hearts, I want to believe they are trying but it's hard to tell. Warning to staff, this event will likely be back in the future. You should probably try harder.

We stay here often. The staff is so friendly. We especially enjoy seeing Brian in the concierge lounge. The staff for the restaurant are also do kind and helpful. They have even gone to find my daughter a cinnamon raisin bagel when there were none on the bar after hearing her ask me if they had them. They are in a good location for walking to a lot of local shops and restaurants too.

My workshop was held within the conference rooms within the hotel. Our group also received meals. Staff were very accommodating and attentive. They also took special consideration for a vegetarian in our group. There were minor set backs including the cold temperature of the conference room, but overall, it was a great experience.

Stayed just for one night. Arrived late and checked out early. The hotel was nice enough for my purpose. Staff was friendly, parking garage convenient ($15), room clean, coffee and breakfast available right downstairs.

This is an upscale hotel that is worth the price! The staff will go above and beyond for you. There are several different dining options to choose from if you don't want to leave hotel. The hotel is attached to the town center Mall. The location of the hotel is very convenient. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very nice hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The air conditioning worked great. The walls are thick enough so that it was nice and quiet. I would highly recommend a stay here.

The Charleston Marriott Town Center is conveniently located for business in the Charleston downtown area. There are also other attractions such as the town centre with shopping and dining options. The hotel staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and are well presented. When I am in Charleston for business always make an effort to stay at the town center Marriott it is my preferred location in the Charleston area.

Attended Bike Summit on April 19th. The place was very clean and nice, the staff was wonderful the lunch provided by the Marriott was wonderful over all great experience.

Used a conference room for a training session. Clean, professional. Pool on third floor kinda threw me some though.

Helped put my mind at ease while planning my wedding reception. The hotel will be providing almost everything and I won't have to coordinate anything on the big day. Hotel seems to be experiencing a large turnover right now.

It's an ok place to stay. Unfortunately they charge $10 a night for Wi-Fi and $15 for overnight parking.

Have been there many times and have always had a good experience. Clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, and for a hotel the restaurant is pretty good as well. My only gripe would be, their shuttle service should run later on the weekends.

The staff was very friendly and the room was super clean. Free shuttle to the Capitol building was timely and convenient. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Area for meeting wasn't well kept. Embassy suites was much nicer and the food was better.

Women in Charleston for business always make an effort to stay at the town center Marriott it is my preferred location in the Charleston area.

The company I work for held the annual Christmas party at the Marriott, the facility was nice and the food was great.

Room was great. No problems. Great service. Didn't stay long, but the time I was there was great.

DO NOT stay at this hotel. It is extremely noisy and woke my baby up. When talking with the hotel staff about this issue they informed me that a wedding reception was taking place and that they cannot do anything about it and that it will BE OVER AT 11PM. Why can I understand word for word what the DJ is saying 13 floors above where this event is taking place? The bass to the songs was so thumping so hard that I couldn't sleep along with my baby. Just awful, Marriott should be ashamed to claim this location.

The customer service was horrible and the bar staff were rude and demeaning. The hotel must have not paid their cable bill because none of the rooms had cable avaible. Service desk was unhelpful in fixing this situation. I will use a different hotel chain next time.

Pool was closed when the hotel guest information said it would be open. No breakfast included Wi-Fi free but could only connect one device, sort of. Won't stay here again.

Do not like this hotel — extremely noisy, bed very uncomfortable — did not sleep well as a result of both of these things. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 8:30 this morning. I am checking out today and assume, just like with every other hotel that I have stayed at that on the day of check-out, they wait to clean your room until after you have checked out of the hotel. I was scheduled to stay here again on Sunday night (two days) and I have cancelled my reservation and booked elsewhere. Very disappointed in Marriott.

Awesome staff! Very Friendly and helpful. If you get a chance visit Glen at the Salt Brick Bar. He may possibly be the most awesome person in the entire hotel. Does an amazing job and makes it looks so easy.

Great city and perfect location. Across the street from the mall, 3 blacks from the restaurant road and 3 blocks from the river. I made a reservation on the national reservation line. On our way to the hotel I called to get information about the hotel and area. Brian not only answered all of my questions he also listed to me about my family. Brian surprised us by having a cot ready and all set up in our room (knowing we had 5 people). Everybody at the hotel clearly wanted to exceed our expectations. We had a great stay at the hotel.

Very disappointing experience: In addition to not having many of the amenities listed, our hotel room had ants, the pool had cockroaches, and we were charged for parking and using the internet and the continental breakfast, adding an addition $40 to our bill, something supposedly lesser hotels don't charge for. So the cost was more than we anticipated for the luxury of dodging ants in our room and cockroaches at the pool. Their image is all fluff.

VERY Disappointed! Housekeeper dropped the F-bomb when we were trying to get the blood stained comforter replaced in our room. Stated "she F-ing took it out of the cover" when walking out of our room, referring to my teenage daughter. The comforter was out of the duvet cover when we arrived and I noticed two blood stains on it, so I stopped by the front desk and asked for it to be replaced. After the housekeeper acted the way she did and said the things she said I went back and told them we would be leaving the next morning! I got an apology, free parking (which I had not utilized because they want to charge $12 per night when you can pay $2.75 at the adjoining mall parking garage) and breakfast for two (there were three of us staying).

For some people, this would be a very nice hotel. Everything is very nice, and the location is excellent if you have business around the Convention Center. What then is my beef? If you want to bring a bus group there, do yourself a favor and forget it. The hotel is NOT bus friendly. They have no parking, driver has to take the coach almost a mile away, and then walk back. They will not use their courtesy van to pick him up. Because they have you by neck, everything is very expensive. To connect to the internet, which bus drivers and tour guides have to do a lot, it costs 13.00 per day, and then they only give you 20, not 24 hours for that price. They do not comp bus drivers or tour guides for their very expensive meals, even though the passengers are paying their exorbitant prices. In 35 years in the group tour business, this hotel is the absolute worst I have ever encountered for contempt for tour drivers and escorts. It would be cheaper to get your own room outside of town. Pass the word. Bad place for group travel. Bad place for tour guides and drivers.
