If your ever out this way DON'T STAY HERE drove 18 hrs to get here checked in the clerk was very rude and our room was filthy had what looked like someone wiped there private and bootyhole on the curtains, pubic hair and pee stains on the toilet and hair in the sink and worst of all we had bloody bedding. We took our bedding to the front desk and the attendant didn't even bring new ones to the room she just left them on the front desk counter THIS IS ONE OF WORST HOTELS IVE EVER STAYED IN. To pay almost $1000 to stay for 7 nights and to get a hotel we're I wouldn't have paid $40 a night for is completely unacceptable and when we asked for a refund the manager told the clerk not to do it and for us to go through the website. So we booked another hotel for the other 6 nights and had to spend another $900 + on it to have a decent hotel to stay in while we are here from Texas…

Bloody sheets, floor not vacuum, curtains had fecal and private pubic hair, employees rude, and awful smell in room. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Wonderful employees and management! Stays are weekly and they welcome by name and give a goodie bag for being a reward member. Nicole is an excellent manager. Rooms are clean and well supplied with toiletries and linens.

Everyone from the front desk to the housekeepers were all so friendly and helpful as this was our 1st time staying here. Rooms were very clean and well stocked. Hot breakfast foods were all fresh and delicious. Definitely will be booking this hotel again for our trip.

The Country Inn by Radisson spits on their customers and is unreliable. We had a reservation on April 1 for a pet-friendly room with two beds. When we arrived at 8:30 pm after traveling for over eight hours we were informed that they had overbooked and the rooms were all gone. The employee at the counter couldn't have cared less about the spot she put my family in and just shrugged her shoulders. She didn't even bother to call to warn us of the issue or try to help us find other accommodations. She went on to say there was nothing she could do and that things happen. So my wife, three kids, and our dog were left out in the cold with no options. There were no other open rooms in the area, so we were forced to travel the rest of the remaining 6-hour trip home that night. This company put my family in danger because they are greedy and unreliable. They should not be trusted to provide a safe stopping point for your family. Avoid them at all costs. 🤬

Very clean. Easy on and off the highway. Close to restaurants. Pleasant and efficient reception.

I had an emergency with my pet while traveling and I simply cannot say enough about how amazing the manager and staff of the hotel were.
They took every step they could think of to ensure that my dog and I had a comfortable place to stay in an emergency. This hotel will be my new home when traveling to WV.

Very clean rooms and workers were very helpful and fast service.

No towels in bathroom and toilet paper almost empty. Maid staff was kind and took supplies from another empty room. Upon unpacking the extra blanket to use for the couch bed, it was wet with urine in its plastic bag. Hotel clerk kindly changed it out for a clean one. Stains all over floor (like no effort to clean spills or furniture). Especially with Covid, there should be a carpet/upholstery cleaner available to clean such spills and stains. There were fresh spills and soil markings in our room, so it wasn’t like it was months old. Not impressed with the quality at all. Shower/tub also drained extremely slow (stood in water while showering and it still didn’t drain completely until much later). Won’t stay here again.

Worst stay ever I can’t believe Radisson would put there name on this hotel. Plugged up Toilet. They have no Maintenance at night. Stained up furniture. Hard bed! Noisy and too to it off rude staff! Ok what ever we got your money attitude! p s your pool is ice ice was told the fuse is out. Fix your stuff!

Easy check with nice modern clean lobby. Room was clean and exactly how described. Price was good for area with friendly staff. One of the better free breakfasts I have had anywhere. Fruit was fresh, nothing watery, nothing burnt, all presented well. Tasted pretty good for offerings. Would stay again for sure.

This was a decent place to stay the room was clean and fresh breakfast was great and the pool was fun. We truly enjoyed our stay.

I really love this chain, but this is not one of their better locations. Although rooms are clean and well-appointed, their proximity to other cheap hotels draws a less family-friendly clientele than other hotels in this chain. Parking was inadequate.

The facilities were great. The offered breakfast was lovely with many options. The downfall was the experience. From the start our rooms were given to a larger group who arrived prior to us even though we booked online days in advance. We got rooms that were incorrect leaving some of our people without places to sleep. Then on the second day the wrong card was charged for the entire trip when we notified the office before AND during our stay. The office attendant ASSURED us that it would be okay and no charges would occur until check out on the last day. Therefore it left us stranded 8 hours away from home. Their response was “there is nothing we can do”. After long hours and contacting many people in corporate, we were able to get some of the charges refunded after we struggled for help to return home.

First off. We stay at multiple different hotels & this was BY FAR the worst we’ve been to. As we entered our king suite the TV was on & it looked like someone had been laying in our bed. Pulled the sheets back only to find a dead cock roach (I do have a picture of it) then, as we continue to look. No one had vaccumed, then in the shower there were long black hairs all over the bath room floor & walls. When we called downstairs the boy assured it would be taken care of only to find we were only given $15 back. When we went down for check out Dolly Parton sitting at the front desk was rude & didn’t know what she was doing, after standing for several minutes watching her stair at the paper we just told her to keep it and we would let everyone know about this horrible experience and to never stay at this hotel. Thanks but no thanks.

Great place to stay. Everything you need is in your room. Breakfast is wonderful. Warm cookies and coffee for guests when they check in.

Very clean. Friendly staff. Great complimentary breakfast buffet. We greatly appreciated the leniency of allowing us in before check-in to have access to the laundry room and the pool so our 8 y/o son could swim while we waited for our room to be available. Also for allowing us to have a little bit of a late checkout to prepare for a funeral we had to attend at 1:00p. Only disappointment was no HBO.

Nice place for sleep. There is pool inside. The room is nice. Employees are courtious. Breakfast items are good. Orange, apple, cranberry juice are available during breakfast.

Pros: bed and pillows were very comfortable. Room was clean for the most part & staff members were friendly. Cons: Ceilings and floors amplified sound of people above you, and the parking lot of the hotel behind was a source of late night yelling & music both nights we stayed there.

Just stayed last night due to the snow and power issues and the lady at the front desk who also had a dog with her that jumped all over us informed us that they don’t rent to local customers after she took my payment. Went to get extra towels that night and no one ever came to the front desk If you live less then 70 mile away forget about staying here. I really used to enjoy this hotel and have stayed here several times before for the pool and hot tub. Never again they wouldn’t get my money if they were the last hotel standing on the face on the earth! Bad customer service.

Cleanest rooms! Small but equipped, perfect for express stays. Hot breakfast with delicious potatoes! Good coffee. Everyone is so nice! Great prices, literally the best hotel I've been to.

Overall, my experience was pleasant. The hotel staff was nice to deal with. The pool was great and the hot tub even better. The reason for the 3 star instead of 5 star is because our card reader for our room door broke on night 3. We had no choice but to move rooms and did not receive any sort of compensation for the inconvenience.

My wife and I had stayed here before, and this time we had the kids with us. The pool hours are fantastic (6am to 12am), the rooms have plenty of space, and there isn't a better free breakfast option at a hotel out there anywhere. The parking lot is well lit, being that there are 3 hotels in the same area. Food and gas options available within walking distance. Staff is friendly and helpful. We have never seen this hotel empty, and will continue to stay here when we visit Charleston.

Room was cramped a bit with three of us (near adult child) in a double. Other than that, decent Wi-Fi… which is what we really needed.

Very very clean room. Friendly staff and a great breakfast. Bed and pillows were comfortable (and I have neck issues and usually bring my own pillow but didn't need it).

I recently visited this location for a quarterly meeting with many members of my team. I like the room because it gave a lot of perspective to utilize either a projector or flat screen TV. This way I could use my laptop with a HDMI cable. The Acoustics were very good there were a lot of tables set up for food. I like the fact that there were two different types of Lights available; LED, and fluorescent. We were able to dim the lights as necessary without it being too dark for the presentation. I would recommend this conference room to another.

Pros: Morning staff was very friendly Breakfast was really good Good sized room Cons: Room smelt like body odor Very shady area Parkin lot lights were all burnt out No cameras out front, only on sides? My husband tried telling the front desk receptionist that there was kids lingering around asking for money & watchin us unload our things & all that was said was "there is? Well there's a cop staying here tonight" (the cop is probably either on vacation or off duty & was in an unmarked so what sense would it make to tell us he was staying there? ) Well instead of her checking it out, she did nothing but sit in the room in the back & items were stolen from our truck & can't see who definitely did it cause there's no cameras in their unlit parking lot.

I frequent Country Inn's all across the midwest. Charleston CI is by far the best I've stayed at. Amenities and cleanliness were on par with other CI's, but they truly stand out in their customer service and their breakfast options. One critique would be the staff smoking out on the front "porch" almost every time I exited the building. I don't want to see that as a guest.

This hotel was great. My room smelled fresh and well kept which is not always the case. The bed was comfortable and the carpet was clean. I stayed here for two nights and encountered the day and night staff which were all pretty friendly and accommodating. The hot tub and pool were open until 12am and I was in it until 11:59 both nights. Downtown Charleston was less than a 10 min drive. I will definitely be staying here again, when I come back to the area.

Everyone at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson is so nice and helpful. Southern hospitality is alive and well at this hotel. The management and staff really go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a safe, clean, and friendly setting.

We checked in somewhat late, 1030 PMish, the male desk attendant wasn't the most friendliest. He was also unwilling to work with us as far as rates. He told my husband that he couldn't give us the rate that we saw online because that was the "expedia, priceline, whatever" rate. There are several other places to stay within walking distance to here and seemed ridiculous of me not to be willing to work with us. Especially considering that if my husband weren't so exhausted, he could have walked outside and booked it through Expedia, Pricelince, etc. And gotten a better rate. As stated my husband was exhausted and wasn't in a confrontational state of mind, so we booked AT THE HIGHER RATE ($113 vs. $89 listed online). Room was clean. There was a small amount of toothpaste on the lower front of the sink area. Forgivable. Beds and linens were VERY comfortable! We slept WELL! Breakfast was fantastic, lots of choices! I have 2 kids and a hubby, who LOVES his breakfast! Make your own waffles! Oatmeal with lots of fixings. Kids and husband went swimming while I packed up. Pool was warm and clean! Plenty of towels. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If it weren't for your male desk attendant and not honoring an online price, I likely would have given 5 stars.
