Ideal location in the center of Va Beach boardwalk area. Great breakfast and restaurant on site. Friendly staff. Balcony in room 513 had constant drip from large rooftop airconditioner condensation. I would recommend a different room if you're not into getting your feet wet while sitting on the balcony. Lots to see and do right here!

Wow. I don't know where to begin. I just booked directly through them. Stayed on the phone for 45 mins while a very slow guest service attendant made my reservations. He confirmed my room total was $150 and as soon as I gave him my card info he transferred me to their rewards program without even confirming anything or say bye. I then received an email confirmation for $500. I have now tried to call Hampton inn SEVERAL times while the supervisor KRIS gave me a fake "central service" number and then transferred me to SEARS! I tried calling back and she answers and says please hold… she can obviously tell it's me and wants to ignore the situation. RING RING it's me again honey. I keep trying to call and they won't answer or help. I will NEVER use Hampton Inn again and I will make sure EVERYONE I've ever met and their grandma knows about my disgusting experience. Wasted 2 hours of my life on the phone being f***** over.

The hotel was very nice. Great views of the ocean. Clean quite rooms. Nice indoor pool. If there is direct wheel chair access to the board walk I could not find it. However, it is easy to go out the front and get around the hotel to the boardwalk.

My family and I had to stay the night while waiting on our home to be ready for move in. Given the situation (not a good one) my kids and wife as well as myself we're all a bit over the last few days. They made each of us feel like we were at home. All the way from our friendly phone reservation, to our check in with a smile at the desk, to my daughters smile and laughter as the desk manager joked with her over her choices from the vending/snack shelf. And not to be overlooked was the very colorful, friendly and warm welcoming of the lady that sets up and keeps fresh the breakfast area! She's absolutely amazing, and a special person put on this Earth with a purpose!

My family and I usually stay at Hampton Inn during travels, normally with no issues. Most of the staff at this particular Inn were wonderful, especially the breakfast staff and the manager on duty when we arrived. Yet there is always one person behind the front desk who has a bad attitude and makes things difficult, though karma did happen to meet up with her. I do recommend Hampton Inn.

Great views, decent parking, convenient location, good breakfast. Had some issues with the key cards and this created a major inconvenience throughout the duration of the trip.

When we arrived at the hotel and opened our room we discovered that there was someone in our room. Obviously this is unacceptable so they gave us a room with a king, a jacuzzi and a rollaway bed instead of the double queen that we had originally booked. They also gave us the night free, and we were able to move into our double queen room on the top floor the next day. The hotel staff treated us very well and always asked if we needed anything extra. The free breakfast and parking is huge bonus. There is no need to set an alarm, the sunrise will wake you up if you have the curtains open. One of the ladies working the breakfast always says good morning to you and will even give kids a lollipop and a hug.

A very relaxing, quiet place I loved.

We came out here from California. My wife and I went to all the historical events that we could find in Virginia. But nothing was better then our room at the Hampton. The service that we received here was top-notch. We stayed in room 316 and Ronnie was the gal that cleaned the rooms and did much more. With Associates like Ronnie it's no wonder that the Hampton is Head and Shoulders Above the Rest. Thank you Hampton and thank you Ronnie for the greatest vacation that my wife and I have had in a long time.

Great location, right on the boardwalk. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars, beautiful view. The staff was extremely friendly. Everything was clean. The pool area was amazing. Food was good. I would definitely visit again.

Great hotel to go to and relax. There are several rooms with hot tubs in them as well as a nice 24hour pool and spa. You can use the pool on the main level any time day or night! This is a great benefit if you are a night owl person or just want more from your stay! Breakfast is good and runs daily from 6am to 10am and is free as well.

Great hotel, clean and helpful staff. All rooms face the beach. We were able to watch the sunrise room our room. I would stay there again.

Management really need to get on their A game. I'm not a big on staying at hotels and when I do I tend to bring my own sheets, blanket, pillow cases, etc. Just the visit here was not for me after seeing a stain on the blanket. So to eaches on and I work for the industry. I have my own cleaning business so they have to do better.

Clean, affordable, beachfront balcony hotel in great location next to Neptune Park. In-room hot tubs and 24 hr salt water pool. Complimentary breakfast til 10. A great deal.

We were not disappointed with the hotel. If you've patronized Hampton, as we have, for a long time, you know what to expect. This facility is no exception. Our only issue has nothing to do with the hotel, other than where they decided to locate it. It is in direct line with the primary landing strip of Oceana Naval Air Station. They don't' appear to fly 24/7, but they are very active during hours, sunrise to sunset. Very loud.

Linda the breakfast lady is amazing and so helpful and kind. Always a big smile and welcoming demeanor. We could all take a page out of her book when it comes to customer service. Rare to find these days. She is a true gem.

This is a fine place to stay. Have been coming for 28 years. Some employees have been here all that time and all are very accommodating. Restaurant offers tasty food at reasonable prices. Breakfast is the best we've ever had anywhere. Food is fresh and hot and service is excellent. A great place to stay for a day or a week or more.

As far as Hampton Inns go, this one is in the bottom tier of quality. We stay at Hampton Inns so often because we have come to count on their reliability, but this location has shaken my faith in the entire brand. While the rooms are decent, they are full of sand. Granted, this is an ocean front hotel. But there is sand everywhere because the foot wash outside the hotel is mostly busted. The service staff is… odd. Not unfriendly, but they go out of their way to let you know they're around and express their dismay when you indicate on your door that you don't need your room serviced. The usual Hampton breakfast is several notches below the usual level. Eggs drier than usual, fruit display is mushy and old, and they never bothered to fix the broken OJ dispenser the whole time we were there. All of this is compounded by the fact that we paid much higher than the typical inexpensive hotel in Virginia Beach to stay here; for the relative price, this Hampton Inn should have been above average, not well below.

After having a terrible experience at a nearby hotel we arrived here around 2 AM and the staff member at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Location was great. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool and I enjoyed the hot tub. The free breakfast surprised us as they had a nice assortment to enjoy. We had a lot of fun on our 2 night stay here and will be sure to return next year!

Stayed during the first week of August. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is good… a lot of choice, I would say a little bit more than other Hampton Inns in more business-like areas. We were given a very large room with a great view. Nothing to say about housekeeping as the room was clean everyday and they were able to remove all the sand that hitchhiked on our feet and beach stuff. Can't say enough good words for the staff. The restaurant is also good. A bit on the high price side but to be expected for the location. Again the staff was great.

We just left this morning after a 3 night stay over the 4th of July. I cannot tell you how many times the staff said "hello" or " if you need anything, just let me know'"; from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the parking attendants — every single one. Amazing customer service. The hotel was clean, the view was perfection, the pool delicious. The breakfasts varied and the bar drinks were generous. And then there was Miss Linda who cleaned the tables between breakfast eaters. You cannot meet this woman and not smile.

We loved our stay, although only for one night. Front staff was able to get us in the room early and extended our check out until noon. Lunch was fantastic on the deck! Breakfast was great, Ms. Linda made the morning for the whole family. Our room was on floor allowing us to sneak out our sliding doors early, onto the beach to enjoy the beautiful sunrise. Will definitely come back!

I love this hotel. It's right on the ocean front. The rooms are nice. The balcony isn't that big but hey, we were hardly in the room. The beach is nice. It's a great family spot to relax and clear your mind. Ms. Irene, one of the attendants who tends to the rooms is the best. Very friendly and outgoing! James was with her tending to rooms. Great guy as well. We will definitely be coming back. Also the shops are opposite of the beach.

This place is so great we booked a second night. Staff, location, free parking, free breakfast are all top notch. I can't recommend it enough.

This hotel was clean and the view of the ocean is outstanding. Stag were friendly as well. I stayed here with my family of four. Direct access to the beach and the indoor pool is nice with warm water and there is a hot tub.

The location of the hotel is great. The service was also great. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, which was about 4 hours before check-in. They got my number and called when the room was ready which was a nice feature. Also something came up and we had to check out early, the assistant manager was very helpful with this. Overall it will be a hotel that I will go back to.

Great location and nice hotel. I love that the pool and Jacuzzi are open 24 hours. Breakfast was okay. It was good, but I wish there were a few more hot breakfast options. Overall my stay was pleasant.

The rooms are lovely and have a large bathrooms. Great ocean view. Staff is hospitable and polite. Would recommend.

My family enjoyed are vocation. Been coming here for the last 2 years. We love it. It's always clean and have nice friendly people up front. I think back to July it was amazing. Will be back in July this year.

Stayed over the weekend had a wonderful time. Nice room with a big bed it was really relaxing definitely recommend staying here.

Thinking back on my stay this past July and it was a great experience! My family and I love the Hampton Inn and have stayed there each time we visit{the past 3 years}. The breakfast was awesome and Olivia made our mornings enjoyable, we love her and her singing! The only thing we wished there was screens to the balcony so that we could leave the door open to enjoy the breeze and sound of the ocean at night. Looking forward to our next year vacation and our stay with you!

I really appreciated my stay there last weekend. The front desk ladies were fantastic and also other employees that I interacted with. The room was clean and the breakfast very good. I'll definitely stay there again.

Stayed in the Hampton Inn during the weekend of 4/24-4/26 and was not satisfied at all with my stay. I am a Hilton HHonors Silver member, which might not mean much in most cases but I would still appreciate a little more respect from staff members who blatantly disrespected me and my guest. I went out to get a friend on the boardwalk at about 1AM, when we re-entered the building through the front door, I had noticed the older gentleman working behind the desk at the time was staring at me and my friend as we walked up to the elevators to go up to the room. He approached us and started to threaten us with noise complaints and stated that if he gets a noise complaint he will remove us from the room and kick us out. There is only one problem in this story. We hadn't been in the room since I had checked in earlier in the day, we had been walking on the oceanfront as that is where all of the events were. We had not even unpacked our stuff yet. How could we be the ones that made all that noise which merited a strong warning and a threat to remove me from my room which I paid for. The older gentleman asked a younger black male (who seemed to be working "security" for the hotel during the night time), to escort us to our rooms and make sure we didn't get any noise complaints. I actually felt a tad bit threatened, I had paid good money to stay in a Hilton establishment for a weekend of fun and here I was being treated like a rowdy thug.

Hotel was clean and had a fantastic view of the ocean. The restaurant downstairs was nice and the prices were reasonable. The breakfast was great. The only issue was the pool was a little dirty. The staff was really helpful and very polite. I would stay there again.

Great stay at the Hampton Inn North. Clean, friendly staff, everything we needed/expected. Indoor pool and whirlpool a big plus! Bathroom fan and a/c heating unit a bit loud in our room but worked fine. Can't think of a better way to start the day than by seeing Olivia's smiling face! We loved her and hope to see her when we come back.

The experience can be summed up by the attitude of the morning clerk when I came down to turn in my room keys. He handed me my invoice then walked away. For around $200 a night I expected much more from a Hilton operated hotel. Pros: Hot tub (jacuzzi) in room. Window A/C unit works. (though other hiltons have central air) Each room has their own private balcony. Rooms are very clean. Cons: Do not bother making special requests (such as what floor you wish to be on) as they will be ignored. Room wasn't ready till an hour after we got there. (even though they "guarantee" them by 4:00 PM) Breakfast is not up to par with the $200 bill. In-hotel Bar/Restaurant does not open until 4:00 PM. You have to walk next door to the "real" Hilton hotel to get food/drinks before then. 1 out of the 5 clerks at the front desk was respectful. As for me I will be staying next door at the true (exceptionally nicer) Hilton hotel next time. The only thing I will miss is the jacuzzi.

Just got back from our stay here. This hotel and it's staff were great. We read a lot of reviews about other places and we were a little unsure about the hotels at Va. Beach. We didn't find one thing to complain about, no bad smells, no sand in the rooms, no bugs (a lot of other hotels had complaints of bugs) and every single staff member I spoke with was pleasant and helpful. The included breakfast was as good as any other place we ate at. We will be going back here.

A great place to stay. The view of the beach from my room was spectacular. Service was good and the rooms clean. Good Wi-Fi too.
