Reviews of Neptune Park Inn 3*
The manager was very nice the room was clean no smell I like it we was across from the beach no bugs I will be coming back.
Old & falling apart. Wall's are patched & unpainted on places. The place smells musty. The grout is coming out of the floor the inroom phone doesn't work at all. There's a lamp wit no switch that you have to plug in when you want it then unplug to cut off. The ac works good is the only good thing I can say. The picture's on their website are probably 15 years old. There's trash & debris all behind the building. All on all this place is a dump.
Dirty in rooms and property grounds. Shows no effort by cleaning staff nor ownership to provide a clean environment for vacationing travelers. Rooms look nothing like the pictures.
They had issue with my reservation then the elevator is really horrible scared my mom and us I had the 4 floor and there was a bad stench on floor by elevators like someone threw up and I try getting into my room door was stuck we had to push hard to get in and it was four of us but only towels for two. Sorry but never again will we stay there! Only good thing was the room was clean and smell good.
They really need to upgrade those room I paid 517.93 for three nights of horror that place is not worth that amount of money.
And no complimentary breakfast wow!
I have tried to call them 8 times within the last hour of making my booking on hotels. Com and they said they tried 3 times also. Does anyone work the front desk?
I didn’t like this place AT ALL! It was possibly the WORST hotel I’ve ever been to. The elevator smelt like straight up PISS, and the halls smelt like trash and they were dirty. When we got to our room, first of all the door didn’t lock, there was a nasty stain on the toilet, it smelt really bad, the room didn’t look clean WHAT SO EVER, and there were drinks left in the drawers. We switched to another room since the door to the room we were in didn’t lock. The new room we got was MUCH better than the last one. It smelt nice (like mint) the bathroom looked the same but it was cleaner, the room itself was cleaner, it was more upgraded than the last one because the furniture in this one was SO much better. I suggest you don’t book a room at this hotel. There’s a MUCH better one with about 4.5 stars like right across the street that you could stay in. This place was disgusting and I didn’t like it and neither did my family.
What more can you ask for. I gave 3 stars because it's just across the street from the beach. Easily accessible to shops and restaurants as well. However, the rooms are very dated, the elevator reeked of urine smell, there were holes in the walls in the room and some seemed to be intentionally cut, the paint is badly coming off the walls, it's a bit dirty in the walk ways to the room, the carpets have to many dirty spots, it's not well lit, the pool is no longer accessible (sign posted at front desk) and they no longer serve breakfast (sign posted at front desk). The beds were clean and comfy and the bathroom was clean but extremely small. There are balconies from each room so the view of the beach was awesome. Parking is also sufficient and good. In our room there was a ball of pet hair left on the floor by the bed, the big lamp did not work and the base was really rusted. If you need the room for 1 or 2 nights just to sleep, go for it, but if you're looking for a longer stay then. Note: these are all views from the 3rd floor balcony of the room we rented. Oh and our room key had a hard time working on check out day before check out time.
The hotel was horrible! We had mold in our room. 2 out of 4 of us had asthma. One of the beds was broken, when you sat on it, it kept lifting up off of the floor. The air conditioner made the moisture smell worse. The pool was closed. The hallway smelled like urine. The elevator kept jumping up and down when you got on it. Wasn't sure if it was going to get stuck. NEVER EVERRRRRRRR AGAIN! We checked in and checked right back out! That was a whole mess! DON'T DO IT!
Don't stay here. Not worth the hassle. They don't tell you where the ice or anything is. The place is dirty. TV didn't work. Took over 2 hours for someone to come up and try to fix it. Do not disturb sign is on door and housekeeping walks in without knocking. Place is a hell hole. Pay the extra $100 or so for Holiday Inn. Charged us double for our room and argued that they didn't. If I could give them 1/10 of a star, I would.
Should be NO STARS! Worst experience I have ever had at a hotel or on a trip with children. Where to begin… First appearance upon pulling in (and it was night time) felt dark and trashy, hardly any lighting in the parking lot. The office is hardly noticeable and its basically connected to a Mexican restaurant. No automatic doors so unloading two kids and an an adult with NO CARTS and NO OFFERED help was more than inconvenient. Elevator, the size was insanely small and it was sketchy, the only one I believe for the entire hotel. Beach view… NOT AT ALL. Sign at front desk reads "Sorry for the inconvenience but we no longer offer breakfast" and then another says "We currently don't have a functioning pool. " The rooms. Light switch upon entering controls the electricity for the entire half of the room. TV, Fridge, Microwave, and lights so the room died every time we hit it. Light bulbs out in the bathroom. Curtains basically falling down. Ceiling peeling and stained. Mattress was literally brown on corners and pink (old as dirt) and warn out, just falling apart. The other has white crusty stuff on it. Bug larvae under my pillow. Needless to say, I had to pack up two kids around 2 am, haul the 5 trips up and down since there were no carts, cry in my car because now I needed to find somewhere else and I was exhausted and my daughter had competition the next day! Lady at front thankfully didn't argue with me or try to move our room.
Good location and cheap price but as they say you get what you pay for. We didn't stay in our room very much and that is the ONLY reason we didn't change hotels. This place is absolutely disgusting! The same washcloth, bar of soap and tissue box stayed in the hallway for 3 days, the cleaning staff had to step over them to get down the hall. That in itself says a lot. Elevator was broken the whole time we were here which was difficult when we were on the 3rd floor carrying cooler and beach stuff. I found human hair in the shower that did not belong to us. Dead bugs in the corners of the room. You had to body check our door to get it open and slam it shut. Had room service one day, specifically told cleaning staff that the door is hard to open/close, came back from the beach and our door wasn't shut all the way! They left our door open for hours. Smelled pot smoke all week and the stairwell smelled like piss. Although I didn't have any interaction with the front desk because I knew complaining was pointless I over heard other interactions with guests and they were incredibly rude.
Me and my family stayed here for the entire week. It was very affordable. Clean, great friendly staff. They did everything they could to make our stay the best it could be. Every room has an ocean view. It's directly across the street from the boardwalk right in the middle of everything. There's a nice restaurant in the parking lot with a full bar. My room was very nice and clean with an awesome a/c and working HD television. A huge thanks to the owners and all staff at the Neptune park inn. We had a great time and will be returning.
Worst worst worst hotel I've ever stayed in room was not clean they haven't vacuumed in weeks it looks like TV didn't work we got locked out of our room very dumpy dirty nasty… girl at the counter was nice I'm glad it's getting torn down in a year or two definitely do not waste your money go someplace else sleep in your car you're better off. They came emptied our garbage (witch u might be able to throw away one water bottle due to size…) took our towels and never gave us new ones only had two for four people in the first place… went to check out no one to be found… tossed keys on counter and left. Tryed to call for over 3 hours no one answering phone.
This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed at. I booked two nights and let me tell you, I’ve never seen anything like this. I paid 443.10 for a total of two nights. When I walked in, the the area smelled and the floor was dirty in the front lobby. The area by the elevator wasn’t clean. Once I got on the 3rd floor walking towards my room, there was so much trash. When I opened the door, it was unbelievable! The carpet was dirty, there was a big bug dead in the tub. There was a bird, chirping in the vent over the shower. There was no ironing board. The iron was totally burnt and cord was hanging down. The blow dryer was filthy. There was a used paper plate behind the refrigerator. Trash was behind the beds. The headboard was up against the wall, if you moved in the bed it bumped up against the wall. The top blanket was torn with the stuff hanging out. No chairs on the balcony. The whole backing was off the air conditioner and was laying on the balcony floor. The balcony was not clean, cigarette butts were on the balcony. There was marijuana smells coming from the room next door that was coming in the room from underneath an adjoining door that was locked by bolts. After a restless night, We left the next morning and didn’t return. I have so many pictures. I’m having a hard time posting them?. Couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to work.
Pool is broke, room TV didn't work, sinks were clogged, floors weren't vacuumed, found pills and beer caps on the floor. Paid 300 for 3 nights waste of money, they said we would get a refund after our second room had more issues, also a mouse found his way in, they pick up and hand up now, Candice and the other manager are playing games, they have people selling drugs put the hotel/motel.
This "Inn" is getting one star only for the view. If you are someone who does not care at all about sleeping or being comfortable, but just want to see the ocean and not pay $200 a night then this is your inn! Otherwise, do not stay here. I am a pretty understanding person but this place is a dump. Upon arrival, the lobby smelt like bleach and the front desk clerk was super rude. We get up to the room and there are dirt and paint stains all over the floors, exposed wires in the top of the shower, hair stuck to the toilet seat, A fridge that has clearly not been wiped down in years, and a small spider sitting on top of the bed. I went down to simply ask them to send someone to clean the room. The front desk clerk, a man, again cuts me off and tells me to get a refund or he would send room service. If I had been staying more than one night, I would DEFINITELY have left. Be it as it was, I said room service would be fine. Remarkably they were there when I got back upstairs. But the lady was practically snarling at me that the floor was covered in paint that "wasn't coming up" she even demonstrated sarcastically for me. She finally agreed to wipe the toilet down and revoked her attitude when she realized I just wanted to ask her for different sheets for the bed. I did not sleep the entire night for fear of what I was sleeping on. Not to mention the building as a whole needs remodeling, there was junk (like old tv's) sitting in the hallways that did not move the entire stay.
Very bad hotel needs work needs people who care about the people are staying there. Smells like mold no locks on doors, no pool as stated, major water leaks half ass repair work. Dont be fooled how nice the front lobby is cause everything else is trashed in that place. Front desk got mad when asked for towels only given two and there was 4 of us there for a week. Hand rails are very loose stairs covered in towels from water leaks stairways are falling apart. Need to be demo and rebuild over price placed to sleep, with how bad it is.
Do not stay here. They towed our car and we checked out after two days. Even though we were staying there. Place is not clean, we found cigarette butts everywhere. The staff is terrible and rude. They were not a help to us during the towing incident. They also knocked on our door several times to clean it because they said that they didn’t know we were there. The hotel door wouldn’t even lock correctly, could have been broken into easily. 10/10 would not recommend.
Wi-Fi is a little to be desired. Could be faster.
Very nice view of the ocean right from balcony. While it's no top of the line, expensive hotel, the workers were all very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean, with comfortable bedding, and amenities ie. Fridge, iron, flat screen TV with extended cable, and microwave. The bathrooms were nice and clean, well stocked with toiletries. There was easy, convenient parking in the same lot of the hotel. The rooms were safe, with key-card accessibility, and there were 3 separate door locks if needed once inside. Very affordable pricing while still conveniently located to shops, eateries, and activities; nice, live music right across the street.
You get what you pay for with this place for sure. It had a great view of the ocean from the balcony and it was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do which was great. The room was a little outdated (in their defense you can tell they were in the process of fixing stuff up, but when we checked in there was a lot of unfinished work, including an outlet not attached to the wall, incomplete drywall, and peeling paint in the bathroom). Some of the staff was wonderful, and attentive while other staff, well not so much. My husband and I asked for an extra pillow the very first night we checked in. We were told we would have it brought to our room. By our 3rd and final night, we still never got the pillow (despite asking on multiple occasions). I also asked a desk clerk about the safe in our room (it was lacking a key so I wasn't sure how it was supposed to work). I was told that if it doesn't have a key, it couldn't be used. I asked what I should do with my valuables while I was out of the room (jokingly asking if I should put them in my car) and she told me in all seriousness that if that's what I felt was the safest place for them, then yes, leave my stuff in my car! That one threw me off a little bit. Overall it was a decent place to lay our heads at night after spending the day out and about, but next time we will splurge a little for the extra comforts offered by other beachfront areas.
Feeling angry and very disappointed not how I wanted to treat my parents to the beach. I paid 205 dollars a night for a hotel with double beds. We had to stay outside until 4 p. M. Before we could even check in. Told us there was nothing they could give us. Had a very nasty attitude. And then we finally arrive at 4 p. M. And they put us on the first floor where they were doing a remodel or construction in the rooms. The room had an air conditioner that didn't have a cover and wires were out of it and running, the head board to the bed was wobbly, the balcony door would not lock. I then approached them at the front desk frustrated for them to ask me what's wrong. I said I have patiently waited till 4 to get a room to get This? For what I paid? I have a toddler and that's not suitable for anyone to stay in. After arguing we got another room but it's like staying in a cheap trash motel. They even have trash over flowing out of the cans outside all over the ground too. Never again! Oh and they lied no Wi-Fi, no Pool! Looks like something a crack head or prostitute would stay in. And at least update your pictures online these must be from 20 years ago! I didn't feel safe for my family at all. And the only reason I had to stay is because everyone had been drinking and they had my 205 dollars a night. Some one needs to call the health department! it would defiantly get shut down!
How is still place still open… I am in my hotel room right now, but before I got in I waited for almost an hour to get a room key, the door does not even lock, remote is missing. A lady and daughter went to their room and found someone else's stuff… there was a party in the lobby of frustrated people…
They let me check in an hour early but the room wasn't ready yet. The cleaning lady kindly let us drop off our bags so we could explore while we waited. The staff was friendly/helpful all around. The view was great from the balcony. We were within ear shot of a small concert that was going on across the street that was awesome. The view from the pool on the roof was even better.
This was a small economical Hotel one Street across from the beach with views of the beach. There is a park on the beach which sits between the hotel and the beach so you have good reviews of the ocean and it was much less expensive then hotels right on the beach yet you get close to the same view. The room was very comfy with nice furniture and a balcony facing the ocean. The rooftop pool was a gem. We were able to swim while having a wonderful view of the ocean even during sunset it was beautiful. The Hotel is located near several shops and places to eat and a trolley will take you farther if you don't want to drive. My teenage daughter and I had a wonderful time and are planning on going back this coming summer. There is really nothing negative I could say about our experience at this hotel. Everything was really great.
I personally did not stay at this hotel and from what I saw I would never stay at this hotel. It smelled, paint was peeling off the walls and ceiling in the bathroom as well as mold visible… Smh… I'm surprised this place is still opened. However location to the beach is great.
Honestly not bad for the price. Very cheap and yeah a tad run down but everything works bed is comfy. Half block to the beach and super nice staff. I like it.
The room had a nice view, pool was refreshing and the beds clean and comfortable. The bathrooms we clean, plenty of fresh towels and the fridge and microwave worked fine. Staff were helpful and friendly for the price you can't beat it! Location great like three minutes from the beach! Yes it's not a 5 star hotel and it's a bit rundown, but a little paint and some TLC could go far. However it is what it is. Great for a short stay can't beat the price.
I stayed here June 3rd & The location of this motel is great, and that's about where the positives stop. Upon arriving (on time) to check in, we were told that they didn't have any clean rooms available. We waited for about an hour while the line of people waiting behind us grew. The girl at the front desk was new, so I won't fault her for not knowing what she was doing… but she told us "If I could refer you to a different hotel, I would. I wouldn't stay here… " The other woman appeared to have her kid behind the desk, which definitely wasn't helping move things along (cute kid, though! ) Now, if that had been the worst part of our stay I could have let it slide and given that place a chance… The lock on our door was broken and we had slam the door shut to get it to close all the way. Same issue with the bathroom door! The paint on the bathroom ceiling was peeling, the tile was stained on the floor in the tub, and the common areas where disheveled and really sketchy looking. I'm giving this place 2 stars only because the towels/bedding/carpet were clean and the location was great (there's a burrito place right out the front door! ) … but the customer services was awful and the property itself seems to be falling into disrepair.
The hotel is the pits, the ceiling was caving in the frig wouldn't shut, we had to wait until 4 before we were able to check in, then we had to keep asking when it would be ready. Never staying there again!
I'll start with the positive … They are located in Virginia Beach … That is all for the positive. As for the negative … The biggest one being that my 10 year old sons iPod was stolen from our room. He was devestated. Beyond that every aspect of our stay sucked. The staff was not pleasant. We even got scolded by someone during breakfast for not properly covering up the bin that had bagels were stored in. Isn't that your job? The room was disgusting. The corner of the room smelled of urine. We lost one of my sons toys and looked under the bed and the ac unit looking for it and both looked like they were not cleaned for months if not a year. There wasn't just dust but crumbs and bits of food from other guests. The TV was purple and green tinted because it was so old and dying. There were visible, multiple, yellow pee stains on both mattresses. They didn't clean the room over the course of 3 days other than taking dirty towels. They didn't even replace them with new towels, we had to request them! The rooftop pool that we were looking forward to was only half filled. So it was like 2 feet deep. I guess there was a leak because we heard about 2-3 people complaining about leaks from the ceiling in their room and there was a constant stream of water flowing down the stairwell. The hallway smelled like sewage. The vending machines were empty or didn't work (not sure) for the entire stay. Lol. The door was impossible to close all the way.
I stayed 2 nights here. Room was nicer than I expected. Really close to a great breakfast restaurant and lunch place. Front desk did an awesome job as well. Thier hotel breakfast was ok if you want something quick and easy. My breakfast lady seemed a bit annoyed but then again that might just be who she is (im not a morning person myself). Overall great stay! Would stay again.
This hotel is Horrible the Breakfast is Horrible or there is Nothing there the Security Guard's are very Rude And the Front desk workers have no manners at Alleast The Room Service Dosen't even Clean the room the way they should and are very Rude And they will only give you 3 Towel'S For 5 People to Share Will Never Stay Here Again ever worst experience ever was a waste of Money. Was to be Ocean Front right on the Beach it Showed online and it wasn't either it Was InLand.
Bathroom ceiling and walls were full of mold. Carpet in room had a huge burnt mark. Our second morning waking up seen a huge bed bug under pillow. This place is disgusting false advertising. Website makes it looks really nice. Also pool had small pieces of paper and debris floating around. Stay away there's a lot of better places down the road. Manager had the nerve to send house keeping to our room when we were packing to leave after we seen the bed bu.
Again, this was our first visit. We wanted a good seafood buffet and certainly got it at Neptune's. Buffet was $31/person, but well worth it. Everything was fresh. The staff were refilling the buffet almost constant. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Totally recommend a visit if your in town.
We choose to stay at the Neptune Park Inn because the price was right. The location is great and the views are spectacular. The hotel is definitely older and could use some renovations, but it seems like they try to keep the place clean. We saw one if the room attendants training a new employee and she seemed to take pride in doing her job properly. The staff was efficient and the ones we talked to were nice enough, neither overly polite nor rude. It was basically what we expected for a lower priced, older hotel nothing more and nothing less. I think with a little more TLC, like some bathroom renovations and improvements to the roof top pool and sunbathing area this could really be a great place to stay.
If your looking to have a luxurious experience I suggest you stay at the Hilton. This hotel was just fine to sleep in and take a shower. We always bring our own blankets and pillows to every hotel we stay in so that wasn't an issue. It was clean also. Staff was friendly.
We booked a non refundable room for the weekend of the Neptune Festival. The weather was bad and most festival activities canceled. We went anyways because of non refundable room. This hotel is disgustingly filthy. I wouldn't let my dog stay here. Floors. Walls. Bathrooms. Bedding everything. The elevator wss scary all in itself. We ended up going right across the street to the hampton inn. Expensive weekend.
This "hotel" is a NEW LOW for me. I expected this one to be decent, but oh boy this takes the cake. The only good thing is that the beds are adequate, and that is the critical part of this hotel experience. In short, this inn NEEDS to be renovated or demolished. The hotel room and hallways are dirty and poorly maintained. The carpet in proximity to the A/C is wet. Cathode Ray Tubes!? LCD TVs are cheap now. This is 2015, not 1980. The balcony from room 202 is horrendous as you are connected to the other buildings. Also forgot to mention that the balcony is shared with room 201. If other hotels have no rooms to offer, then go elsewhere and stay away from Neptune Park Inn. NOT worth the money spent on one night for Labor Day Weekend.
This place is horribel. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE! This place is a dump. The elevator was broke twice in one day, and it's hot in it, and very slow. The breakfast here sucks, I poured orange juice and bugs came out with it, and the only food they had were stale donuts and bagels. The cards quit working at lest twice a day. The ice machine leaks and my wife almost feel 3 time from it. The vending machines are broke. Bucket off stale smelly water just left in hallway all weeks since I've been here. The shower head doesn't barely work, you can barely even take a shower. This place needs to be remodeled, it is nasty here. I would NEVER stay here again the worst $300 I have ever spent. The only good thing about it is its right across the road from the concert venue, and the beach.
All I'm going to say is DON'T TRUST THE PICTURES. I stayed in the Neptune Inn on Aug 21st through Aug. 23rd and let me say my stay there wasn't memorable at all. Where do I begin, First of all the lobby needs to be updated with new carpet, the elevator is old and moves very slow. Going to my room I through I was in the HOOD looking at the doors, then our key cards didn't work. Second the tub was back up and then the shower curtain was dirty. The carpet didn't look clean, the mirror, lamp shade, and the dresser had dust all over them. And to say the worse we had kill two roaches crawling on the curtain. What they need to do is close it on there off season and remodel from top to bottom. We did have a great view of the beach.
For the price this hotel was just fine. Yes it is run down and yes the elevator smells like urine. But, the price is $100-$200 a night less than the hotels 50ft across the street. The location was great. The beach was across a small two lane street that hardly ever had any traffic. It was next door to a taffy store that had beach necessities and it was also right next to a gas station. This hotel is run down and looks a little scary from the outside but it was just fine. Clean sheets/towels/bathroom is all I could ask for. Perfect hotel for those who plan on spending most of their time at the beach or outside exploring and just need a place to sleep and shower. Breakfast was nothing special but was good enough. It consisted of pastries, bagels, English muffins, cereal, coffee and juice. Overall the hotel was great and I would bring my family there again. Id rather spend my money doing fun things than on a hotel room I'll hardly be at. I thought all the staff members were great. I never saw the receptionists on their phones-ever. The security guards were very pleasant and even carried our bags for us. Housekeeping was timely everyday.
Do not stay here! This place is way overpriced for what it offers! Let me start with the one thing that was positive. The beds where comfortable… that's it. Everything else was lame! The elevater was extremely slow and HOT! The room hallways were hot, and looked very dirty. The front desk was very unpleasant and unwelcoming. The room bathrooms were very small, and overall in need of immediate renovation. What they call there "outdoor pool" was very small and only 4ft deep! We payed $238.00 for a crappy hotel! Waste of money! Oh and don't even get me started with there "complimentary breakfast" disgusting coffee and stale packaged bagels and pastries! My 4 year old bakes better pastries! The diner could not fit the guests! I had to stand the whole time! They only had a couple small tables with uncomfortable chairs! Please do yourself a favor and invest in a better place! (Hampton inn, Holdiay Inn etc. ) I will never set foot in this gross facility again! They should destroy this facility!
The front entrance was not inviting. The hallways smell like urine, moldy and it was extremely humid. The rooms were dirty. The outlets didn't work and the lamps were missing Light bulbs. The rugs were fillthy. The pool area was dirty and the Chairs were very nastly. The breakfast was a hard bagel and everytime you use the toasters. The circuit breakers will go off. The employees were not very friendly. I literally called the front desk 3 times to unclog the toilet. Not to mention, that the phones in the room did not work. I Will not go there or recommend anyone to go there. I spent over $130 per day which I believe to have over paid.
The pictures are deceiving! What I paid for this room they should really be ashamed. Front desk was rude, breakfast was horrible and the room looked a mess! Dirty carpet, plugs not working, I would go in but there is no need! Horrible.
This place is TERRIBLE! We only went to the beach for one night. Upon check in we were given a room on the second floor, the elevator was virtually falling apart (Boyfriend works for an elevator company), taking the stairs was hands down disgusting! It smelled of raw sewage and poo. To the point were people were tucking there noses in their shirts to avoid the stench. I gaged, a worker at the hotel made the commet "we really should keep some air freshner down here". The room was Ok, until my 5 year old son walked out on the balcony bare footed and stepped on a peice of a broken glass marajuana pipe and sliced his foot wide open. I immediatly took the glass down to the front desk. They said nothing except "I'm so sorry, the general manager will call you in the morning to fill out an incident report". That call never came, we were not offered any sort of compensation for our trouble! This is a serious safty hazard God only knows what was in that pipe. Crack, pot, ect that sliced through my child's foot. To make matters worse, he had to wear socks out to the beach to keep the sand from getting in his cut! The pool was suprisingly clean, but there was a step missing from one of the ladders making it difficult to get in and out easily. I would not reccomend that anyone I know pay approx. $10 per hour to stay here. It is a DUMP! I hope the managment and owners get their act together soon.
I booked two nights here through Expedia. When I arrived, they 'didn't have" my reservation. The Expedia rep (who was wonderful through all this at 11pm) assured me that my reservation went though three weeks previously. Evidently Neptune Park didn't pull the Expedia reservation out of the queue to actually book my stay. If you book through a large site, be sure to call the hotel directly to make sure someone bothers to check the online queue.
My friend and I stayed at the Neptune Park Inn for two nights. I read the reviews, but thought "hey for the price, it will be worth a little less comfort. " I was wrong, very wrong. We requested a non-smoking room, and the room REEKED of smoke. I called down and informed the front desk and she said she would send housekeeping up, which would not solve anything. It smelt so bad, that the first stop we made on our vacation was to the Walgreens down the street to buy Febreze and a scented warmer. It helped, but was not enough to get rid of the smell completely. We still had to wash ALL our clothes when we got home, because even the ones that were clean smelled like smoke. The hallway was sticky all the time because people set their trash in the hall for housekeeping, and housekeeping just added it to a big bag in the hall. I almost lost my flip flop once because it stuck to the floor. We always took the elevator, which made a funny noise, because the stairs were always wet and there was a puddle of water on the first and second floor landings that smelled of sewage. I did not feel safe because the door did not latch correctly and the dead bolt did not work. The sheets had stains, but we were smart and brought our own. When we had an issue, we asked to speak with the manager and she did not even come out of her office. She told the front desk clerk what to tell us, after we had SPECIFICALLY asked to speak with the manager.
Hello, My family and I visited your hotel on 8-4-14 thru 8-7-14 and had a horrible stay. From the time we arrived to the time we left there was so much go wrong it was unbelievable. We paid in advance for this room for a refrigerator and microwave. Both never worked. We did finally find out that they both worked only because my daughter switched on a switch by the front door and it came on. We never received instructions for this. Why would these two items be hooked up this way. How strange! The phone never worked. The pillows we were given had big knots in them not allowing anyone to use them. Crazy! We received only 3 towels for the 4 people in the room. And when I asked for more they said they were locked up in the Managers office! REALLY! The power to 1/2 of the room quit working. Don't even get me going on the locks to the room. Which kept locking us out daily. You all had maintenance there to fix the problem but it never got fixed. It was insane how many people got suckered in to staying at your hotel. If you can call it that! Never again will I stay there and you can count on my word of mouth to be spread to everyone I know not to stay there! One more thing! It was filthy dirty! You also had druggies smoking big pipes upstairs at the pool while my little children were swimming. What standards! Your license to run this establishment should be provoked! A very upset customer.
Don't trust the picture. This hotel really lives up to it's cheap price. The only plus to this hotel is the decent view you get of the beach. (If you get the right room. ) I'll now tell you the negatives, for starters the management of the inn are lazy and are slow in terms of assisting and meeting our requests. Another thing is the elevator, be aware it can only fit 6 people per use and it is slow as s*** a man walked up faster to the 5th floor than we did on the elevator. Next is the room, the room seemed decent at first, decrepit at first glance, but it gets worst. Upon closer inspection the room is down right a**, the beds are dirty, loomed with hairs from previous occupiers and stains that I don't even know, and furniture that has worn down over the years. To make matters worse we found cockroaches the size of your THUMB in the drawers and in the bathroom. Never have I felt my health be at risk. So if you want a cheap fix, come here, if you care for your well being, pay that extra for a better hotel/inn. P. S — you'll probably use the other hotels Wi-Fi.
July 2014. Will never stay there again. Online the price was one thing then when we checked in was a different price. What I paid to stay at this nasty hotel I could have stayed oceanfront. This isn't oceanfront. Don't leave anything in the hotel that you want to keep. It wont be there when you get back. They said the best prices in va beach that's not ture. My family will never stay there again all in all it's nasty an dirty rooms an over priced. An the pool was just nasty. With hair an dirt all over the bottom.
