Clean rooms, check in was easy, used the digital key so not allot of interaction with the front desk. Had dinner in Loggerheads LOVE the crab cakes!

I recently stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Va Beach and from checkin to check out was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I broke my foot helping valet get my mountain bike off truck because he said it would get stolen. That didn’t upset me. Stuff happens. I called twice to make sure the manager checked on my room to make sure doors were closed while I was in Er since all of my valuables were in there… he said he personally went up and checked. I got back and the doors were wide open! My lap top, camera and drone all laying on bed. My air conditioner did not work. It was 80 degrees. I asked for water twice and no one ever came up. I asked for someone to help with my bags since my leg was broken and the manager himself told me this is not a full service hotel! Most ridiculous stay I’ve ever had. I wasn’t asking for much. Just help getting a back pack out of my room that your own valet was complicit in creating the injury. Do NOT stay here. Go to one of the nicer hotels along the strip.

Great weekend getaway! Very clean rooms and beautiful view of beach! My husband and daughter loved it as well!

I didn’t check room service because you have to request it which I think is a good idea. My opinion is this way of service keeps guest safe and staff safe from missing items, unwanted house keeping during not so convenient times. I agree with this. 😊👍🏽 We have been 3 years so far so good.

This is my first time staying here. For that past four years we've stayed at the Sheraton. So we decided to change and picked the Hilton Garden Inn. So glad we did. Great staff, clean rooms, good food excellent decor and not a bad price. I would definitely recommend this place. Your gonna love it.

Great Service! Stayed here last weekend (came to Va. For my nephew's wedding), and the room was very clean/stocked. The staff was very nice, EVERY worker said Hello when got there/while we were there and Good Morning when we got up/was leaving. I will look for one everywhere we go from now on! Thank You!

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for three nights while in Virginia Beach. We got a nice large room with a separate living room area with a pull out bed. The room overlooks the ocean and there is a lot with two chairs and a table for enjoying the ocean view and sounds. The bathroom is huge though we only had a shower and no bathtub. There was a medium sized fridge as well as a microwave and Keurig. There were K cups as well as sugar, Splenda and creamer in each room. In the hotel lobby they also had complimentary Starbucks coffee each morning. Throughout the day they had water in the lobby. The pool is half indoors and half outside and was open until 10PM. One day it rained so the pool was closed for a few hours so they stayed open until 11 PM to give extra time for swimming. The first 75 guests all get two chairs for at the beach. There are towels by the pool that can be brought to the beach. There is also a sundeck on the 3rd floor. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. I would love to come back and stay in the same hotel next time we come back for vacation.

Great view from our room, and friendly service! The beach is a bit busy, but that's only because it's such a fun beach to play on! It's a great place to bring the family for vacation!

Our stay was okay. The room was outdated and had an old smell to it. The refrigerator didn't work good at all. We had to keep a cooler in our room filled with ice at all times to keep our drinks cold. The water pressure was terrible and the water didn't drain good at all. We had a do not disturb sign on our door and housekeeping still came in to clean our room. The view was nice, but I wish we had a better room. The price per night was over $300.00, but we definitely didn't get what we paid for.

My family and I just spent three nights here. My husband and I planned a vacation for 10 family members as it’s my mom’s dream to see Williamsburg and the ocean. We have small children, and those of you who have ever planned a trip like this can relate to how many moving pieces there are. We had three rooms for three nights, and one room for two as my brother had to return early. The hotel put all rooms under one confirmation number. We are meticulous planners, so when my husband would call to confirm, they would seem very annoyed about his call and say-yes we have it all correct. Guess what? They charged my brother over $400 for a third night that he didn’t spend there. He even called on Friday to confirm. Now, despite paying around $5, 000 total for rooms, the manager told me she didn’t believe that we had reserved it differently and said she had no power to refund the night! I cannot believe that they would treat honest people this way. Plus, we’re Hilton Honors members. We paid over $1, 000 down payment for these rooms. Unreal. The hotel is also showing wear and tear badly. Customer service was lacking and the staff seemed more interested in visiting with each other than helping their guests. We stayed in 714 and our room smelled very musty and stinky. We asked several times for some assistance, but I finally went and bought air freshener. Our shower had mold in all corners.

This is one of the best hotels in VA Beach. It is fairly new, clean and has great amenities. My family and I stay here every time we visit the beach.

We went there for the lunch at thr Lager Heads. It is not the seafood place just be prepared. The place is well located in Vbeach and it is ocean front too. They serve bar food and we tried two burgers and they tasted very good! Recommended!

Nice rooms, with fidge/microwave and a small balcony. Really good breakfast — they should expand the breakfast area, it was pretty crowded. Pool area is too small for the size of the hotel — there weren't enough chairs. I like that all the rooms face the ocean and we are only steps away.

Relaxing and comfortable stay. Enjoyed the pool while the beach was in walking distance. Staff very professional. Room was comfortable with no problems. Thank you Hilton for the experience!

The only bad thing was the ac blows hot air onto our deck like a blast furnace which makes is a terrible place to relax. The staff was all great. The rooms are so, so. I know its a beach front property, but I expect more from a hilton. Just not a top-end hotel. Not sure if we will be back here next year.

Best hotel stay in VA Beach. Friendly staff, clean rooms. The restaurant and bar is located towards the rear of the hotel and man is it good. Overall an awesome stay and experience. Will definitely stay here again. Though there is a timeshare company across the street and they try to lure you in for a meeting with a prize for attending…

BEWARE, families with small children and babies. The restaurant adjoined to this hotel has very loud live music going on late into the night. We thought this was a family friendly place. We are on the 10th floor it sounds like there is a concert going on right outside our balcony door. There is no reason to have the amp up so high. This establishment has no concern for their guests. We were told nothing could be done about it. We were also told this goes on every night during the summer. For $350 plus/ night, you're much better off staying somewhere else that values their guests enough to ensure they get a peaceful night’s sleep.

Very clean and nice facility. I love the breakfast they have there and the Lager Heads restaurant attached. The pool is very nice and the sub deck is a nice feature. The location is very convenient to food, live music stage and the water. The concierge is very nice and will offer a timeshare presentation that comes along with a monetary gift if you’re interested in that.

When entering your elevators… check the one on the left… we noticed a Dorito chip that was on the floor on the side in which is under the buttons where you push which floor to go to and we wanted to see if the hotel maids would clean it up… nope it stayed there from Friday evening until we left this morning. We enjoyed our stay by all means. We did question the cleanliness of the hotel due to that chip being in that elevator all weekend. Also when we checked out this morning there was no one there to check us out so my husband picked up the radio and asked for front desk assistance… ask your staff if someone responded with 10-4 Rodger that! Ha that was my husband trying to get service… eventually the bellman went into the breakfast restaurant and had a waitress come out to check us out. We felt we were on one of those shows “inside investigators” on how well the hotel was… it was fabulous up until check out when we waited 10 minutes to check out and no one showed up and that dreadful chip that stayed in the elevator all weekend long. The lady trying to push the time share was most annoying… she asked us every time we entered the hotel if we were interested. I finally had to be blunt and say we are NOT interested so she would know not to ask again. Enjoy your day! Thanks for accommodating us with the ocean front room. My husband and I had a great weekend.

The beds were very uncomfortable. The breakfast, which looks and tastes like your standard complimentary breakfast, is not complimentary. The signage explaining what is free and what isn't is confusing — and I am an English teacher with two bachelor's and a masters. Reading and decoding is sort of my thing — but apparently this hotel has me beat. It appears that the $15 charge applies to food ordered from the chef window, but alas, it's for all the hot food. There was no staff available for me to ask when we arrived, so I assumed, which is my fault. But in the end, my family paid 60 bucks for what was free two hotels down the road. For a hotel that was so expensive and appears to be so nice, $15 for carton scrambled eggs and half cooked bacon is ridiculous. The pool was murky and salty — my pool loving children spent exactly 10 minutes in it before asking to go back to the room. These are children who will stay in a pool until they grow gills and fins. Maybe this hotel is better suited for couples or singles and not families. We will not be back.

Totally stay here! Right on the beach. Great views. Very decent hotel breakfast in the morning and that says a lot. My room was clean and safe. I would stay here again.

Clean, modern, great location. Very friendly and efficient staff. Hotel restaurant had delicious food and a very nice seating area overlooking the ocean. Spacious rooms with ocean view and the hallways overlook the city. Great design.

Only spending one night at the hotel but everything is amazing. The staff has gone above and beyond in providing top notch customer service to me and my son with autism. Every employee we have encountered has been extremely friendly and courteous. Thank you.

Clean room a plus! There was an empty wine bottle under the bed, but who’s looking? Some things need to change. (1) the client, not the hotel should regulate the heat/cooling thermostat. Had to call engineering to raise the temp from 70 to 72. (2) Water pressure is poor and water temp also regulated. (3) One towel placed in the bathroom had a spot of blood on it. Balcony nice, nice view. Staff was helpful. (4) The concierge pushed the resort preview to the point of annoyance. (5) Restaurant convenient but meh. Would only return for the view.

All the staff here is amazing and they really try to help you out. Everyone is very patient and helpful, the place is clean and has a great view of the beach. The restaurant Lagers has amazing burgers and cheese curds, so if you're staying there give it a try! A big shout out to the management team, they are excellent!

I attended a training event at the Hilton. The ball room we used was spacious and had a projector. Coffee and water was provided by the venue and regularly filled. Overall a decent place for a training event.

Nicely located on the boardwalk on the North side of Virginia Beach. Rooms are nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Indoor, heated pool. Walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Loved loved loved it here. The Christmas trees that they had up were absolutely beautiful. We stayed on the club level so the view from the balcony was really nice. The room itself is a little small but it was clean and comfortable. Loved the t. V. In the bathroom mirror. We took full advantage of all of the amenities available to us. Room service was great. We dined at Catch21… It was okay. We really loved staying. We originally booked the room for 2 days but ended up staying 5 days. I hated leaving.

This was the second Christmas we stayed here. The suites are comfortable and all the employees were helpful and nice. The breakfast omelet was cooked especially well.

The hotel is generally in good condition and the staff are friendly. The hot breakfast was good with gluten free and dairy free options. The housekeeping was disappointing, though. When I left my room for the day and returned, the covers had been straightened a little (but the bed hadn't actually been made — it was just a little less messy than I had left it) and my towels had been replaced but the coffee bar hadn't been restocked and the bathroom had not been cleaned other than having picked up the used towels. When the housekeeping that I can observe is only half-done, it does not instill confidence that the housekeeping between guests has been properly taken care of. I'm sad to say this was the most disappointing experience I have ever had at a Hilton.

We were a last minute check in and the front desk was very accommodating and very nice. All the staff that we met and passed by in the Halls were very kind and everybody said hello. There was a beautiful wedding that we were privileged to watch and it was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Virginia Beach.

This is a typical inn, the room was clean and there was a beautiful view from the balcony. It has a step up from the usual free breakfasts with different hot items every day. Everyone was very polite, friendly and helpful. This place is at the North end of Virginia Beach and has an upscale feel away from the seedy looking area on the south end. It is close to the Neptune statue and free entertainment area, but far enough away that the partying is not an issue.

Had dinner at Lagerheads. We really enjoyed it. The weather was rainy so we ate inside but still could watch the ocean. The kids were happy with the kids' menu selections. Their Texas Brisket Burger was amazing! That burger is definitely on the to do list for the next trip to VA Beach!

I attended thos hotel for a wedding this summer. The dining room was spacious, although dimly lit. The reception area was very nice and large enough for the crowd that fit in the dining room. There was a beautiful and large terrace that overlooked the beach that was perfect for grabbing some fresh air. The bathrooms were large enough for the group and very clean. After the event, we visited the hotel bar which served reasonably priced drinks and good food. I would highly recommend this hotel for an event or casual drinking on the oceanfront.

Good food. Good beer selection. Service was a bit slow because they were so busy, but nothing too terrible. A good, average beach burger place. Great selection of good and creative burgers. Would return!

This was our second stay here and overall, it's a pretty great hotel. Awesome staff with great service. Free self parking in a big garage right across the street. My biggest complaints he are that the 2 elevators that serve the entire hotel are terribly slow. Like you could be waiting several minutes for one and will likely have to stop on every floor. They really should have had 4 for a building of this size. The other would be the pool. While it is better than some in the area, it's somewhat small and the water was pretty murky when we were there.

Everything about this property and my stay there was wonderful. The view alone is worth every penny and then some. The staff was equally fantastic. From the catering manager, to the A/V staff that assisted with our meetings, to the waitstaff in the restaurant and the front desk staff. Amazing all around. Next time I find myself in Hampton Roads, I know exactly where I will be staying.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. When you go for breakfast you are greeted by a wonderful "good morning " (I am a very up personality person) and this is so energizing. Hey if you go say good morning to Alex and his staff for me. The Hilton has a very comfortable heated indoor/ outdoor pool so relaxing. Enjoy a variety of burgers, appetizers, and beverages at the Lager Heads restaurant right in the Inn. The Boardwalk is so well lit you see people, singles, couples, and families walking at night, The beach is so well kept by The Parks and Recreation Dept of Va. Beach just another plus to our vacation. I give it 5 stars and differently hope to return someday.

A beautiful location! Lovely, spacious rooms and staff is very helpful and accommodating. However, whoever designed the bathrooms never had to use them. The placement of the towel rack in the shower stall is a joke! You have to take all the towels off the rack in order to take a shower because it is attached so low on the wall. And there is nowhere to put the towels. There should be a shelf under the sink for the spare towels. Also, although there is a sofa bed, there were no pillows or blankets in the room for the sofabed. So we had to wait about 15 minutes after calling down when our daughter wanted to go to sleep. And at breakfast this morning, the first english muffin I pulled had a large spot of green mold on it. When I brought this to the attention of the guy in charge at the omelet station, he said, "well, sometimes we put them out early and they have some moisture on them and that gets moldy. " The amount of mold that was on that english muffin was not from a few hours or even overnight! Then, we placed our breakfast vouchers on the table, the server took them, and then still brought us a bill! To make matters worse, it took at least 15 minutes for my husband to get his omelet, supposedly because they were backed up, and almost as long for the server to bring coffee. The food was good, to be sure, but we were totally unimpressed with breakfast service.

Very misleading descriptions, the "expansive" fitness room is the size of my bathroom. There are many pictures of people drinking by the pool on the website, there are no drinks served at the pool. If you are allowed to bring drinks from lager heads, that's a very poor and unsafe setup because you would have to walk the whole way around the outside of the building with your drink or walk through the lobby in your wet swimsuit, through the restaurant and to the bar to get one. The pool is too small, there is barely a 2 ft space around the pool to walk because of the loungers yet there are no where near enough. There were kids running around the pool, eating IN the pool, spraying water at people. There were pool chemical crystals spilled all over the pool deck the one day that were never cleaned up. I thought that picking a smaller hotel would be less crowded, it was the opposite. The rooms were nice and clean but that's all the hotel really had going for it. There is a beautiful "sun deck" that makes no sense, it does not open until 9 so you cannot watch the sunrise there, or even get much sun on it because by noon the sun will be on the opposite side of the building. The front desk ladies were very nice but I had to visit the front desk more times in two days than you should need to in a whole week. We were told it would be so easy to book one night with rewards and one night paid, this is also misleading it felt like an uphill battle.

We ate in the restaurant at the Virginia Beach oceanfront location. We had a great service, the food and drinks or slightly overpriced, all in all a good visit.

Bad experience from start to finish. Will not stay there again. Terrible staff. Directly under jet flight path… I could go on but my head is still ringing from the 6 hour fire alarm test (that's not a joke).

This is the loudest place on earth. They have some idiot playing loud horrible music all night in a gazebo that is suppose to be part of an "acoustic" series but is definetly amped up. I would suggest to stay here if you are a raging teenager but no respectable adult should have to go on vacation and put up with this nonsense.

I had a breakfast meeting with a client. It had a great view of the beach. The next time I will try the made to order food. The breakfast buffet was nice good French toast.

This hotel is only 2 years old so it's very clean and new. I'd say from looking at the exteriors of all the hotels on the boardwalk this one looks the nicest. Because we booked last minute my wife and I got a room with 2 queen beds. They were very comfortable, more on the firm end. The room was very clean, no complaints there. The balcony was small but just enough room for two chairs and a table where we could enjoy the sunrise every morning and look out on the ocean. We had our own individual Keurig coffee maker with complimentary coffee, cream, and sugar. They also have a coffee bar in the middle of the lobby. The hotel was very quiet, we never heard any of the other guests around us. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The food options are fantastic, they have a craft beer & burger restaurant (Lagerheads) in the hotel. We ate there and it was delicious. They also offer a complete breakfast for $14 which has everything you want including made to order omelets and other items. It is within walking distance of several local shops and some chain stores and restaurants. Although it was too cold to swim and we wore jeans and sweatshirts on the beach, it was very clean and was not crowded at all. Lot's of folks with dogs. The parking deck is just across the street and they offer valet parking for $17 a day. If we go back to stay in the area again soon we will definitely be staying at this hotel — won't even look anywhere else.

This hotel is very new and has amazing views of the beach, because of our short stay we weren't able to indulge in the many different ammenties the hotel provided but we will definitely be back!

Great location with comfortable rooms. Ocean view is very nice. Everyone has been very nice and helpful. Parking is nearby and is complimentary to the hotel guests.

The room was very nice, especially the very clean bed. The front desk was helpful in showing us where to park and how to find our room. When the Polar Plunge was over, staff was waiting at the door with towels, which was extremely nice. The restaurant was delicious and service was quick. All in all a great trip and we'll definitely be back next year.

I love this hotel! Everyone was friendly and helpful, food was good and I just enjoyed my stay.

I drove 4 hours to get to this hotel. I reserved the hotel room on July 4, 2015. I walk in little after 3PM to check-in and was told my room was not ready, OK, I'm tired but OK, give clerk my cell phone number and he said he will call when room available. He then gives me parking garage key and something for self parking to hang on my rear view mirror. I go park, grab my luggage and wait in the lobby. Its now 4:32PM, I go ask could you tell me again why my room isn't available and the gentlemen starts by asking my name and the girl jumps in to say it needs to be inspected by the supervisor, that it was being cleaned. I say it takes 1hr and 30 minutes for that & I am paying for a room that I am not in. Of course I get the apology and thanks for your patience. I tell her I had no choice. Not happy with the customer service and the trash can has trash in it from the previous occupant. I am not here on leisure, this is a work trip. I am here until 8/29 lets see how this goes.

Good hotel, very clean, only one bad day of housekeeping. Spoke to desk and they sent someone up right away. Great location, pool, and friendly staff.

Kind of a mixed bag with this hotel. Cleanliness and Service were all top notch (this is an almost new hotel-built in 2014). Pool (which is indoor and outdoor was nice-though kind of small. And whyt on earth they have the pool jutting out to the street side instead of the ocean, I'll never figure out. Location, toward the north end of the Boardwalk, is perfect-close enough to the action but away from the drunk kids. Value is the issue here. Yes, we had an oceanfront room booked peak season, so I wasn't expecting a bargain. But at $350 per night, I was disappointed at the cramped rooms — and especially the tiny (and I mean TINY) balcony that could only really fit one adult and maybe two kids. As a result, one of the prime selling features when we booked the room (i. E. Ocean View) was lost. I was looking forward to sitting out with my wife and a drink and watch the ocean. No such luck. If I go back to V. Beach, I'll look for a hotel in the same general area with bigger balconies.

Clean rooms, amazing view, generally good service. On site restaurant is mediocre. All the other restaurants from the same owners are much, much better. If you plan to use the parking garage, get ready to get attitude from both the parking attendant and the front desk when your crappy magnetic key inevitably demagnetizes. Get ready to be lectured about how the stripe on it is just like a credit card's, which, according to them, also get demagnetized all the time (never happened to me, but whatever).

Very clean and nice hotel. You can tell its new. Love the location and the closeness to the beach. The rocking chairs on the backside of the building are a nice touch. Few disadvantages: the pool was freezing cold on Memorial Day — wasn't heated until the next day (or at least didn't feel any effects from heat). No hot tub. The sheets do not fit the king size bed. Other than that a pleasant stay at the Hilton and very friendly staff.

The Hilton Garden Inn at the Oceanfront was clean the Housekeeper on the 11th floor name Tihesha was. Helpful professional and friendly.

I wanted to like this hotel more. It's got a great location right on the beach, it's got an outdoor and an indoor pool, almost connected, it's had a recent renovation. We stayed Friday and Saturday night over a frigid Valentine's Day and the hotel looked nice and put out small chocolate hearts at the concierge. It set the mood nicely. It was a slow downhill experience from then on. 1) The control panel on one of the elevator's was loose. This wouldn't be a problem except that elevator would periodically get stuck. It would fix itself after a few minutes, but it was disconcerting. 2) Breakfast was not done well. The food was good, but the service was terrible. It took 45 minutes to be served an omlet and when I asked one of the waitresses if a scone had nuts she said "no", but it did have nuts after all. Luckily, my wife detected it before swallowing, but she was uncomfortable the rest of the day. 3) Our group reserved a block of rooms, then we as individuals provided a credit card for each room we took. The hotel charged all rooms to the original reservation, even though they had an imprint of a different card for each room. This is typical group behavior that a hotel should be able to get right. In summary, I wish we had stayed elsewhere. I love the location but this is not a well run hotel.

Very nice — at least off season. All the rooms are ocean front, the 2 room suite we had was large, comfortable, well appointed and clean. Clean is important. The walk in shower is a big plus over the usual bathtub (does ANYONE actually take a bath in a hotel/motel? ) shower deal common at most US hotels (and almost unknown in Europe. ) Dining nearby, reasonable parking. Great location. Friendly and very helpful staff. We loved it.

Attended a wedding and all the guests stayed at this hotel. The location was awesome, room was clean, and service was exceptional. Would recommend and would stay again when in va beach. The Lager Head restaurant downstairs was great too.

Had a great experience — new hotel smell and super courteous staff. Just a month old so things were a bit shaky, but everyone was very helpful. When we checked in, there was zero water pressure — engineering fixed that within 5 minutes! Kids enjoyed the pool which is half inside and half outside and has a rainfall sprinkler on the inside portion. Kids loved it. But I found it awkward because it's on the ground floor with the outdoors portion right next to the hotel entrance and with people walking by on the sidewalks. I'm sure that over time, the vegetation will grow and provide some privacy. But for now, it was awkward. Reminded me of the old-school Virginia Beach hotels — so cheesy — you'll see tons of ancient hotels around that have the pool situated on the street! If you're not a pool person, and want to hit the beach, this is a great hotel. Kids missed the roof-top pool of the big Hilton a few blocks away. And not that much more expensive. Worth the price difference for the rooftop pool alone! Infinity pool and an indoors portion and a bar with wait staff.

They said all rooms are available after 3pm, 90 mins later still waiting.

I had a very enjoyable stay here at the Hilton Garden Inn. I cannot wait for the Lager Head bar and grill to open downstairs. You'll be able to enjoy a nice meal in the restaurant or have a drink at the open-air partitioned bar, complete with live music. The staff and facility here in Virginia Beach have exceeded the Hilton brand's high standard. With immaculate rooms, spectacular ocean views and pristine beach access I would not stay anywhere else along the oceanfront. Parking is Included in the nearby parking structure which is super convenient here along the boardwalk. I will definitely stay here again.
