Reviews of Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront 4*
When we first got into the room one water bottle was missing and it says I will be charged $3. Immediately, I notified the front desk. The front desk made me feel uncomfortable about the situation. I ensured that we will not be charged $3. Few days later, on my final bill, I was charged $3. Since it's only $3, I am not going to bother calling them and correct this.
The cleanliness, amenities, and (most) staff are great! This hotel had a lot to offer that others did not, such as the rooftop infinity pool and the restaurant Catch 31, which is one of the most popular restaurants on the boardwalk. Neptune’s Park is also near the hotel, so we got to see concerts each night from our room.
Great upscale oceanfront Hilton in Virginia beach. Located on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront hotel is just steps from the Atlantic. Enjoy premium amenities including a rooftop infinity pool and trendy bar with panoramic ocean views, an indoor rooftop pool, a fitness center and two award-winning restaurants on site. Our prime location, dining options and exceptional service makes our hotel an unparalleled destination in Virginia Beach whether traveling for business or pleasure.
The hotel is beautiful! Location is excellent! Roof top pool amazing! That being said I was a little disappointed when I realized they over charged my credit card by $600 and Terry the front desk supervisor didn't apologize… but honestly Jamie the manager Sunday evening and the staff at the sky bar made my weekend great and they apologized for the over charge and inconvenience. I would definitely come back to this hotel!
Well for $400 a night I expected more. Pool is the size of a garden tub, and supposed to be “infinity. ” Never really understood that, really didn’t see the infinity part. Our room was on the 15th floor, super nice view, but the sky bar. The idea was nice while we swam, and the concept of a rooftop club also seemed very cool until I wanted to go to bed at 10:30pm and there was a dance party in my ear that lasted until 2am. The valet really needs to be repurposed, I could have walked faster to my car; and the $75 beach cabana rental seemed a little steep for a hotel that was a 4star. You can’t get a beach chair for $400 a night? All in all, I wouldn’t stay again, especially given the lack of sleep, but on the plus side there no bugs or hairs that didn’t belong to me.
This is an OK hotel. It could have also just been the time that I was there but it needs quite a few updates, which I believe they were working on. However, it has a great restaurant downstairs, Catch 31. But it could still use an update and some refreshing compared to some of the other Hilton's I have stayed at over the years.
Price is crazy. You always waiting for elevators, just 3 of them with only 2 working. Free guest internet is back to 90s! For 200$ it's should be kind faster. Bathroom is small and need deep cleaning! I wonder how they pass chain inspection with theses dirty bathrooms. No free lunch. With plenty of other hotels on the street was not choice! Max price for this is max 70-80$ not $200!
Clean and spacious room with an amazing view if you take the ocean side rooms. Amazing indoor and outdoor pools on the roof. 20th floor has a lounge for rewards members with free beverages all day as well as breakfast and happy hour appetizers. Great hotel bar with several fireplace settings outside. Best hotel on the strip!
Very polite and helpful staff. The renovations to the rooms they did were nice and room service was quick. I still wasn’t impressed by the room we stayed in. It was a King Ocean view room, but to be the “Hilton” and have that name I would have been happier going somewhere else less pricey and I would have gotten the same experience.
Service is excellent. The food Also.
Hotel is nice and staff are very pleasant. Worth staying here just for the great views. Has a lot of amenities: bar, pool, restaurant and super close to everything.
I break into Tiffany's at midnight. Do I go for the vault? No, I go for the chandelier. It's priceless. As I'm taking it down, a woman catches me. She tells me to stop. It's her father's business. She's Tiffany. I say no. We make love all night. In the morning, the cops come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Mexico, but I go to Canada. I don't trust her. Besides, I like the cold. Thirty years later, I get a postcard. I have a son and he's the chief of police. This is where the story gets interesting. I tell Tiffany to meet me in Paris by the Trocadero. She's been waiting for me all these years. She's never taken another lover. I don't care. I don't show up. I go to Berlin. That's where I stashed the chandelier. Also the hotel stay sucked.
This hotel is under construction still and if you plan on sleeping it is near impossible as they appear to be only doing early morning construction beginning at 4am. My room looked like it belonged in a third world country and it featured a sliding door which led to nothing. Next to the door there was a sign that said to " Do not let children near the sliding door. " So I let my son play on the sliding door and I now have one less child. So overall the door was a good feature and actually will end up saving me money in the near future. My sheets appeared to have been used in an exorcism and were never changed. I asked the front desk for an extra pillow and they charged $50 dollars to my room. I ordered a hamburger for dinner through the room service and it was so overcooked that I might as well been eating a piece of coal. My television only received Spanish news and when I reported this to the front desk they told me to brush up on my Spanish or pay 40 dollars for the extra channels. Overall this was the worst experience of my life and im pretty sure I will never leave my house again.
A nice hotel to stay at when by the beach, I wish the rooms were a little bit bigger, however the outdoor fire pit is awesome when it gets cold outside. The restaurant here is great! I know this sounds weird but it had some of the coolest bathrooms I've ever seen. Very modern! I will say the service here is extremely professional and friendly. Being next to King Neptune is really cool though, as well as easy access to all the shops in the area. The cops in the area however can be a bit pushy, you would think it's obvious when someone's a hotel guest, but I guess not to someone on a power trip. Anyway over all my experiences here have been great.
Check in was easy and the first night was spent in a comfortable bed. We were nice enough to fix their handle on the toilet while we were there for them, since it was falling off when we first walked in. The next morning we awoke to a cold shower and rattling pipes in the wall. Went down to the front desk and they tried to call an "engineer", but none were available. The front desk said they would have somebody check on it while we were gone for the day. We returned later in the day to find somewhat warm water and rattling pipes in the wall. Another call to the front desk sent somebody to our room, and after a bunch of running around and excuses, we were told that we should have hot water… of a 4 night stay we had actual hot water on the last day. The temperature in the room was hard to control as well, as the thermostat decided when IT wanted to work (which was only about half the time). The hot room really added to the construction noise from hotel renovations that were occurring from 9-5, not allowing you to get work done or sleep in.
This is a gorgeous hotel! We are local and went down for one night to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is being updated in decor but it looks like a new hotel. We stayed on the 15th floor & had 2 standard beds & an oceanfront room. The balcony view of the ocean and boardwalk was breathtaking, until the fog rolled in. Love the new decor. It’s a tasteful modern with beach themes in relaxing colors of light gray, white & turquoise. Beds & pillows are very comfortable. The Infinity rooftop pool was warm in February! That’s unusual. The staff were friendly & cheerful. My only complaint is they forgot to give us our 2 free bottles of water on check in & they didn’t offer us late check out as Honors members & AARP members. Also, they never gave us a hanging parking tag for our car. We could have been towed. They gave it to us later but never stamped it so when we got out of parking garage they wanted to charge us $20 instead of $10. We did not know all these procedures so we expect the front desk staff to know their jobs. The gentleman at the garage was able to look us up & gave us our parking for $10. So front desk staff, although friendly, need to know & execute their jobs in an accurate manner for the benefit of the guests. It is still a 5 Star experience. You pay more but it is worth it. The bar was loud when you walked near it. This is a better hotel for adults than for children I believe.
Completely disappointed in this place. First. The toilet would rise to the edge of the bowl and almost overflow and had the engineer up twice to fix it. Then the worst part of all was the COLD SHOWER. After a long day exploring the area I came back to my room with no hot water, and there was no fixing it either (not an isolated event). That means no shower for me and my girlfriend. This was our Valentine's weekend on Feb. 9th, 2018. I woke up this morning hoping it would be fixed but it's not — I'm totally aggravated to go about my day stinking like the night before. Only reason I have 2 stars instead of 1 is because we had a nice view of the ocean but I'll Never come here again.
Absolutely a 5 star Hotel. Just beautiful! Stayed in one of the Empyrean King Oceanfront rooms located on one of the top floors. Complimentary coffee or drinks every day right outside of your door. The bed was so fluffy and comfortable. It slept better than my bed at home! Great restaurant too. Would love to stay here again if I am ever in the area.
Last night my husband and I came to Hilton on Virginia Beach ocean front for a New Year’s Eve party. The hotel was beautiful we did not stay at the hotel but during the party a waiter spilled French fries and ketchup on my Husband’s suit. He was apologetic and we asked to speak with a manager so that they could pay for his suit to be cleaned. He never returned with a manager. We then went looking for the waiter and found him and asked a second time for a manager or some sort of compensation. We waited 30 more minutes and no one came so we left the New Year’s Eve party early that we paid 80 dollars to attend. We were unhappy with their service we planned a beautiful night for us that was ruined. We ordered pizza and beer at our hotel and brought in the new year.
Beautiful… right on the beach. It was wonderful watching the sun come up over the Atlantic. This is one of the nicer Hilton properties I have stayed at, at 20 stories high, this is one of the larger properties on the waterfront. Nice interior, clean rooms, great lounge and restaurant, wonderful staff. Highly recommended.
This Hilton is a perfect location to enjoy Virginia Beach. Provides easy access to the beach and restaurants. There is a restaurant in the lobby and the amazing Mayflower Cafe is within a short walk. Great place for a fun vacation at Virginia Beach.
We stayed at the hotel for 3 days. The night that we checked, we placed the Do Not Disturb sign on our door. We did not expect any services in our room by the housekeeping staff. The next morning as we were heart to the beach, a housekeeping staff was immediately outside our door with his cart servicing the room next to us. My husband asked the gentlemen for a replacement shampoo since he used the one in the bathroom. Added putting it in the room, we proceeded to the beach. That evening, I went to get money out of my wallet to pay for something and it was gone. I went to hotel security to let them know what happened and they checked their room Kerry entry system to see who has gone in our room that day. The system should that shortly after we went to the beach, the housekeeper entered our room even though we had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door and was in our room for only 3 minutes. Security handled the matter professionally and efficiently, my poor rating is for the performance of the General Manager, Mr Slutter. He left a message in our room that he would call me the next morning but he did not call. I called him and I was told he was out of the office. It has been 2 weeks since this incident and I have tried to call him numerous times, left several messages and he has not called me yet! This is a poor reflection on our very nice high end Hilton property.
I was very disappointed with this stay. I wanted a relaxing weekend stay for my wife and I, but it was not particularly relaxing. The bathroom sink was very annoying as it made gurgling noises the whole time we were there. When we sat on our balcony, the guest next door to us chose to sit on their balcony and smoke marijuana. Very disturbing! The staff seemed pretty nice, but we were not happy with our room at all. For the price we paid, we definitely did not enjoy this trip. Not worth the price!
Hi overall experience was pleasant because we were together and initially Upon Our check-in & in the restaurant Catch 31 our server Nate made the initial impression of the hotel to be very professional Pleasant and just aimed to please the guest. Amazing service from this gentleman. The following morning was an entirely different story from the staff the front desk service agent seem agitated by being as general questions about the restaurant as well as what was a late check-out time. Not only was she dismissal but was rude as well this young lady's name was Juliana. We requested a late check-out however apparently it was not communicated to the housekeeping staff (who was pleasant) because they entered our room and was very apologetic once we told them we had a late check-out. And once in the restaurant for breakfast the server who goes by the name Bones, was extremely unprofessional by discussing our room rate out loud amongst other guests across the restaurant as well as several times asking how often do we get a discounted rate. Even after being asked to discontinue the conversation she insisted on asking rude personal questions. This person needs to learn boundaries. On another note the room was amazing and the view was impeccable.
My family has been vacationing in Virginia Beach for about the last twenty years and we have always stayed at the Hilton Oceanfront. We have never had any problems until our most recent trip. We had two rooms, and my moms room was lacking in the cleanliness department. First, there was a lot of dust on the cabinet doors. One of the main light fixtures in the bathroom had a huge brown spot in it. We did not want to imagine what that even was. Then there was the dust/dirt on the door handle of the mini fridge. I spoke to a few other guests at the Hilton Ocean front who upon entering their rooms found hair in the shower drains, nail clippings on the sink, and even stains on their bedsheets. Now while these may seem like small things given we paid nearly $3, 500 between two hotel rooms we definitely expected better. Now as always as far as customer service, and the general staff I'd give them for stars.
I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at! The staff was so friendly & polite, the rooms were clean & fresh, & the concierge was super helpful. My family & I love going up to the infinity pool to relax & enjoy a drink. This is seriously an amazing hotel, I'd give 100 stars if I could! ;o)
Room a little pricey but after a day in the sun the room was worth it. We also had a terrific lunch at catch 31 and met the manager. He greeted us and after we mentioned that we were guess at the hotel he asked us about our stay. Great service all around.
Well today we checked into the Hilton and found the rooms to be spectacular esp. With the view. Room a little pricey but after a day in the sun the room was worth it. We also had a terrific lunch at catch 31 and met the maanger Mark Edwards. He greeted us and after we mentioned that we were guess at the hotel he asked us about our stay. Great service all around.
Great location; seconds from the beach and board walk. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Food is good and service is great. One of my favorite hotels in Virginia Beach.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Receptionist was rude when checking in. The park right outside never quieted down and it was still loud with the door and curtains closed. Overpriced for the size of the room. The adjoining room kept us awake until after 4am. I got food poisoning from the mahi in the restaraunt. Will not stay here again.
The rooms are outdated. My lamp had a socket that was broken on the ouside (scary). The pools are okay, nothing to write home about. The smell of the restaurant is overwhelming when you first walk into the lobby. The hotel is overpriced for the experience you get. Will not be staying here again.
Made a phone call last night, June 23rd 2016, around 10 pm to reserve a room for one night on the 24th. We arrive to the hotel only to find out that the person booked us the reservation for the 23rd and not the 24th. After that, all the rooms were booked and after trying to find another place to stay, it just wasn't happening. It was supposed to be a very special night, but instead the Hilton completely ruined our evening. We go to the Hilton as a tradition every December and spend lots of money since we get a nice room and always eat at Salacia. We even invite friends as well because we love that restaurant. We spent $800 just for dinner alone last December. After this experience, we'll just start doing our business at another hotel. Thanks for ruining our night. Also, Anna was very professional and nice.
The view on the ocean side is awesome. The air conditioning was phenomenal. Room service was great and just appeared whenever you needed them. The elevators were slow but if you at Virginia Beach and your worried about elevator speed then you need to pack your stuff and go back to your boring life.
Most of the staff was top notch. It's expensive, but great service. One front desk representative was a bit unhappy with having to do their job. Overall a great experience.
My experience here was average, I stayed here for two nights. I did not get too much rest while staying here because of loud drunk people outside my room slamming on doors and cursing from 2am till 330am. The Sky rooftop bar that was so loud my pillow sounded like it had a boom box in it. I have 2 kids, 1 and 3 yrs old. They loved the pools but we had a hard time sleeping. Why is a hotel there and what is it's basic fundamentals? It's to relax and to get rest, if you miss those two basic principles why are you a hotel? It's like a restaurant that doesn't serve food but have entertainment. Then why am I giving this hotel 5 stars? Because a wonderful lady Danielle (i apologize if I misspelled you're name. ) the manager of the hotel ran into me on the elevator and asked me about my stay. I told her about my situation and she called me back to formally apologize. That's people who really care about a business and how it is ran. Thank you so much for taking time to contact me and making me really feel appreciated as a customer at you're hotel.
Their Catch 31 bar and restaurant is one of the nicest on the oceanfront. Excellent location, great drinks, delicious food, good ambiance. Overall, a great place.
Great hotel, great service, great view. Rooftop pool is very nice. One indoor and one outdoor. The hotel staff took great care of us and the valet service was only an extra $5 a day.
I've stayed here 6 times in the last 3 years and I have enjoyed the location, service and facilities. The pool on the roof is great, the breakfast is very good (over-priced if you have to pay for it) and the staff is always very pleasant. My advice is to self park and save a few bucks. The garage is across the street.
Great customer service. Excellent food. Big rooms with comfy beds, slept like a rock after business dinner. Great commodities. Would return!
Great location. Awesome view of the beach from the sixth floor on the ocean side. The Catch 31 restaurant is fantastic and offers great service. Awesome service at the first desk and the room maintenance as well.
We had a beautiful view and a gorgeous room. The bottled water price was too high. The room service needs to pay more attention though, I was asleep and a cleaning lady knocked on my door to which I responded "come back later please". She continued to open the door and I had to more firmly say leave. It could a have just been a bad day for her. Overall the experience was nice.
Bathrooms needed to be cleaned better, drain in the shower was clogged up. If they would have cleaned the shower they would have noticed the drian was backed up. The room is just like any other hotel but over priced, basically you are just paying for the Hilton name. At guest services when the Hilton woman found out we did not meet the salary quotation to take the tour's of the other luxury hotels, she put the information away and told us to have a nice day, after about 10 minutes of listening to her sell. Quite embarrassing to us. This little trip was a gift to us, and I am thankful, but I personally would never pay the high priced bill to stay here. The rooms and space is no different than any of the other hotels. It's like pretending to be something your not, I like who I am and I don't need to empress anyone. This hotel experience is over rated.
This was my second time at this hotel, and it was just as fancy as it was last time. Everything is overpriced, and the wait times (after being seated at the restaurant) were ridiculous. Staff was very friendly though. Probably wouldn't pick this hotel if my job weren't paying for it.
I am also a regular of the Hilton resorts. As far as the accommodations go, this place is very nice. Nice restaurants, nice bar, beautiful outdoor areas that overlook the boardwalk and beach. Honestly, it's a shame that such a beautiful establishment can get such horrible reviews. But it comes down to the service. Much of the staff here treats their guests like they're lounge guests. They look down on you unless you're tipping generously and treat you like you're a nuisance. I was asked multiple times at the sky bar if I was a guest. I was. Leave me alone. Your staff at the front desk are incompetent. I asked them to turn their atm on and they literally told me I was out of luck. It was obvious that it was just turned off and they were too lazy to be bothered with it. All in all it's honestly a nice place with a poor staff presence. Hopefully management will improve and so will their level of service. Until then, expect a very upscale place with a staff of shady personnel that treat you like you're at a fast food restaurant. This is not s Hilton experience in my opinion.
This is one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in. For $500 a night I expect far better. The room was small and not particularly clean. The staff allows random noisy drunks to roam the hotel at all hours. It's not uncommon to wake to the sound of screaming in the hallway. Do note that the hotel sponsors "concerts" each night that are great for keeping you up all night. The hotel Wi-Fi was out for 3 days and they never issued a refund. Breakfast is NOT included with your $500 a night stay. For $20 I was given chewy eggs and burnt bacon. The hotel is on the beach, but is located in a bad area. Don't even think about going outside after dark. There are no restaurants in the area, so you are either forced to eat overpriced garbage at the hotel or drive 10 miles to find a decent restaurant. The staff is pretty much worthless and at least half of them don't speak english. A terrible restaurant and bar are also operated from within the hotel. This attracts and uncanny mix of drunks and lunatics that will surely ruin your stay. You have been warned; do not stay here under any circumstance.
Hilton should be ashamed to have their name on this property. It's run down and shabby. Maid service is sloppy and slow. Stayed here for a week and had to call housekeeping nearly every day with one issue or another. And don't believe their hype about "5 jet shower heads" They're ordinary low flow shower heads which dribble out water — — yeah, you can get clean but that's about it. Catch 31 is so loud at night only drunks can sit there to eat. And they charge you as if you're eating gourmet food when its the same as you'd get at a TGI Fridays or worse. Go to the beach and ask for a couple of lounge chairs and an umbrella for a few hours and you'll be hit up for $58. Only good part of the stay was that the staff was extremely loyal and polite and attempted to take care of what they could as best as possible. We tipped them all generously for their services!
Pros: Clean room. Great location. Friendly staff Cons: expensive ($339 minimum a night), $12.95 a day just to use Wi-Fi, SLOW elevator, despite having a nice lobby the rooms themselves were disappointing & basic, Toilet was clogged and wouldn't flush, Loud outdoor activity, Nothing fancy. Restaurant downstairs was overpriced.
Let me start by saying that I stay on the concierge floors when I'm on holiday. I'm over 50 and willing to pay for the extra attention. I'm also a local from Newport News, having come over to Virginia Beach for a few days relaxation. The hotel was up to its 4-star rating and my room was immaculate. The staff bent over backwards to make my family feel both welcome and wanted. Slept like a baby every night. I'll be back.
Not a place for a relaxing, enjoyable family vacation. I have been a loyal Diamond/Gold member with Hilton for 10+ years. This stay has tarnished my opinion of Hilton resorts. Cons: 1 — Service and food quality at breakfast was horrible. Worst I've ever had at a Hilton. Buffet was consistently empty, took 20 minutes to get a coffee three days in a row. Staff was more interested in chatting with each other. 2 — Noisy. Drunk, non-guests wandering through the hotel regularly, coming from the bars. Felt like a college dorm most evenings. 3 — Got a timeshare sales pitch each time I went to get beach towel at the desk 4 — Fire alarm at 7am was lovely… Pros: — It's on the beach — Clean rooms.
The hotel ambience and staff are great however. There is a party in the pool area every night until 230 am so if you're on a high floor you can hear it. The view is beautiful but our sink drains slow and shower heads aren't working properly. The waitress staff in the pool area horrible because they never came to ask if I wanted service until I had to ask them despite eye contact being made several times. I would however stay here again.
Extremely loud concert venue next door all night long drunks in an out going to the roof top bar making leaving your room dangerous and pretty scary we left the hilton thinking that maybe things would calm down by the time we got back but found ourselves in a very dangerous part of va beach so that walking anywhere was out of the question finally was so disappointed that by 3am things have not gotten any better we went to check out and where told since we already paid for 2days that we would not get or $800.00 back or even apologize to us for any inconvenience and seemed that they did not care even alittle so we left and drove 3hours home that night instead of enjoying or first vacation in 5years any review that has any good comments is false.
Sad and embarrassing| smh first off we make money to be treated the way we was. First they lied said rooftop was at capacity and it's for hotel guest only we buy 3 rooms and they said we still can't get to roof. It's so sad that of hire ppl like this. We have on slacks and button downs. Also part of the convention that's taking place the whole weekend. Called the cops lied and cops left. Smh. We just out here enjoying life making money. 7 business but guess race still exsist. Mad we staying in a which we have 6 rooms. 9 exactly cause brought 3 to get upstairs. S/o to Joshua and Josphef tho. Hope ya get a raise but we will stop convention from coming to even brought 4 cabanas and still couldn't get upstairs.
Hotel doesn't work well in the winter. Very cold in the lobby and restaurants. Rooms are clean and updated.
I give it three stars because I had one bad experience and one great experience within 48 hours. I ate dinner at the restaurant/bar downstairs and got food poisoning. They were very courteous the next day when I reported it. The next night we were at a conference dinner on the 2nd floor, and all they served was chicken, which is what gave me food poisoning. Just smelling the chicken made me feel sick. They only had a certain number of vegetarian dishes for people who had pre-registered as vegetarian. I explained to the staff the situation and they couldn't get me a vegetarian dish, but they gave me extra veggies and mashed potatoes which I thought was so nice! Good experience, glad we had our conference at the Hilton.
We had an excellent experience. I was a little concerned about hospitality and overall service we would receive after reading some of the other reviews, but from the moment we stepped on the property we were greeted and treated like we were the only guests there. From the parking and bellman staff to the waitress' and pool staff at the roof top pool/bar and everyone in between, they were all friendly and helpfull. The amount of activities the Hilton and surrounding areas had was greater than expected. The food at each of the restuarants and room service were all fantastic. I can't say enough good things about our stay. When considering a local beach to D. C. From now on, the only option we'll consider is the Hilton and Virginia Beach.
My wife and I were looking for some time away from the children for a couple days, so I started looking online for a "romantic hotel experience" with a good view. I came across the Hilton. Looked very nice from the pictures, and I had been by it a few times when I had been on the strip. Seemed great. I booked my reservation for a "superior room. " When we arrived, we parked in the parking deck, got out luggage, and proceeded to check in. We were on the 6th floor, which is basically the bottom, however we still had a decent view. Here are several things I liked about the place: 1) Good lobby environment. Felt very beachy and luxurious. 2) Right on the beach. 3) Parking was great, plenty of spaces. Here are some things I really disliked about our stay: 1) We had to pay 8 bucks a day for parking, even though I just dropped 1k on spending the night. I've never had to pay for parking when I'm staying somewhere. 2) Three elevators for 21 floors. The elevators were ghastly slow. It some times took 5 mins for one to arrive, only to be so full that you couldn't get all of your stuff on, so you had to wait for the next ride. 3) The restaurants that were recommended by the staff were owned by the same company. Very expensive, I would recommend venturing out away from the strip. 4) The room was very tiny, the bed was not exactly a king, and the TV was a piece of junk (lower quality brand and the cable signal was horrible at times).
I stayed at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront at the end of April for five nights. It was a wonderful stay! Beautiful view from my room, clean fresh bedding, and delicious food made it a perfect vacation. The management and staff is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely make the Hilton VB Oceanfront my only place to stay when in Virginia Beach.
Small room. Big caps because I felt like I walked into a cabin on a ship. The fold down bed. Is that really necessary? Are your guests planning on doing Yoga in the room so you need a Murphy bed? The pictures on the website are completely deceiving. Super small bed, seemed like a King in the picture but it is a Queen basically on the floor. Bought into the Valentine's day deals I saw online and am considering not even taking my wife there afterwards, even though I set up a bunch of stuff in the room already. Wish I could have turned around and walked out. Never go here. The rooms are a joke. If you want a cool room go to the Sheraton.

For a Hilton this has been a horrible experience for me and my mom and I'm not even staying there. I ordered breakfast for her Birthday that never came though I got charged for it. I called in-room dining and the "manager" said that it was cancelled when it was not. I called back asking to speak to management. I was put on hold for 20 minutes and hung up on. Furthermore my mom ordered coffee that never came despite 3 calls to room service. I never write reviews and if not for it being my mothers birthday, being lied to by the restaurant manager, and my mom not even getting coffee she ordered I'm quite sure the current management staff is probably using drugs or sleeping. As a long time Hilton (20 + years) I will never be staying here again. The lying on part of the management is really the aspect that has aggrieved me.
