Both my wife and I love Waterman's. We return to Va Beach every summer and always visit Waterman's. Food, wait staff (Bryce), & atmosphere all amazing!

We normally stay at the Marriot or like hotels. We’ve been here many times. Affordable and great staff. Yes it’s older but clean and such a great location. Always a fabulous ocean view and you can walk to so many things. Save your money to go to dinner or a massage! We love this hotel!

Best breakfast. Period. It looked like the spot. And it is. Mario. Chris. Justin and Brandon provide the nicest atmosphere and service. Go to this place.

I have visited this hotel every time my family went to Virginia Beach on vacation. The breakfast prices are some of the best on the boardwalk. The atmosphere is down to earth and you get to watch your food being prepared right in front of you. The omelettes are the best. The hotel was going to be shut down for good a couple years ago, but it is such an asset to the boardwalk to be able to continue serving the guests and the public.

My daughter and I went on the fast boat to see the dolphins. We had a great time. The speed of the boat cools you down on a hot day and bouncing in the waves was a lot of fun. We pulled up to the dolphins, there was at least 8 of them. The dolphins were riding the waves on the side of the boat it was awesome and educational. This is a must do in Virginia Beach.

The hotel was clean and the was staff friendly and helpful. It is right on the beach and the view was excellent. Everything is "small" (room, bathroom, dinner, pool, etc. ). The beds weren't terrible, but not great either. Free bike "rentals" for riding on the boardwalk. I don't know if this is always the case, but U. S. Navy F-18s flew directly over the hotel both days we were there They land at the Oceana Naval Air Base (which is 4 miles away) and operated from roughly 10am to 11:30p. So book something further south if "the sound of freedom" isn't desired.

Stayed here on a two night trip, so we weren't sure what to expect. Its a small, rustic looking motel. We were pleasantly surprised! The room was super clean, the house keeping crew even left a cute little message to welcome us. You could tell they did a great job actually cleaning up. So the staff especially was wonderful! We were checked in by Michial, who was friendly and funny. The other two employees we dealt with were also awesome! I would recommend this place to anyone!

We decided to stay at Belvedere Beach Resort as a last minute trip as I was driving through the area on business. I was able to reserve a room online with no issues. When we arrived at the office to check in we were greeted by the office staff and checked in promptly. The office staff was very pleasant and gave us wonderful information on the hotel amenities, including free bike rentals, and their hotel Cafe. Our room was clean and just as cute as the pictures on the website. We had a beautiful ocean view and enjoyed sitting out on the patio. The hotel is walking distance from all kinds of great restaurants and shops! Check out in the morning was quick and easy and once again the office staff were all very pleasant! Will definitely stay here again!

Very nice for a family on a budget. Also great for a couple who just needs a place to stay, but also plenty of activities for any age group. Highly recommend.

I stayed at the Belvedere for 2 nights in early May 2018. The front desk was courteous and welcoming in all interactions. The room was clean with a great beachfront view. I appreciated and used the free bike check-out twice. The free parking was appreciated, although it is tight and my car was scratched twice by a neighboring car. The alternative would be to pay to park at a nearby lot with more car space. North End Pizza is a tasty, friendly, and not expensive restaurant within walking distance. I enjoyed this hotel and would definitely stay at the Belvedere again.

My stay was great. Room very clean. Nice view of the ocean. The staff, like, Crystal was friendly and helpful. Thank you. I will come back and I recommend this hotel.

I loved staying here and absolutely would again. The staff is friendly, the place is quaint and clean, and the private balcony with ocean views were the biggest sell for me. I also loved the diner and got breakfast there every day. This place is in a great location and has easy access to the beach. I can't wait to stay here again.

Just spent the night with my twin 4 yr old grandaughters. This hotel had the very best views! We had a glitch with day of arrival. They switched it with no fee and went above and beyond to help! The staff is the best ever. Very friendly, helpful with recommendations for food and directions! The rooms were very clean. This is an older hotel. It shows age if you are looking for glitzy, high dollar fancy then this is not for you. It's like a step back in time. Our rooms were clean and the views were fabulous. The decor was very nice and I was thrilled with it being an older place. Lots of hot water, quiet and sound of the waves lull you to sleep. The diner next door is small but the food is utterly fabulous. You may have to wait but the view and food and staff are worth it! The staff here was very friendly and efficient and made sure you felt welcome and were pleased. I cannot wait to go back again. This will be out go to hotel there from now on! We all loved The Belvedere Hotel!

The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were clean and well cared for. The only issue I had was not receiving a return call when I had questions about my room.

The is an old school beach hotel, every room is beach front. Quaint decor, clean, in a great location. This is not a luxury hotel chain, which is why it's so awesome! It's like it used to be… going to the shore, warm, welcoming, cozy. The diner on the first floor has excellent breakfast, it's a locals fav spot. We loved our visit here, we're definitely going back, and recommend this place to any & all. They offer free bikes to get around. The beach in front is great and not over crowded. There's great people watching off your balcony on the boardwalk. Easy walk to great restaurants, night life and board walk attractions.

They met our needs but room was tight with a Cot. Great being on beach and pool right in front of room but pool was small and over all pricey for cafe and the room. Wish cafe was open for more then a few hours. Great for couple but not family unless you get another room.

This resort was so peaceful. I finally got a good night's sleep while listening to the waves and enjoying the ocean breeze come through the window after a nice ride on the resorts complimentary bikes to eat surf and turf at a local restaurant. What more can you ask for right?

I love this hotel. All rooms have a balcony on the beach. This is where I stay whenever I come to the beach. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the location is fantastic. Great food at the diner.

I give this site a 4-star rating. And, this was only because of night desk clerk, Sean and the breakfast at the adjacent Coffee Shop. The room had a mold smell to it, the bathroom is small, and the beds were not the most comfortable. But, we only needed to stay in the area for one night as we were passing through and it was sufficient for that reason. I would agree with others that the parking area is small, but Sean was very helpful with getting us a parking space. All in all this was a true example of how genuine customer service can win one over. Although we hope that their rooms will be "upgraded" soon, we would consider staying again.

It was very clean but it was very damp. The room had so much moisture in it that the sheets were somewhat wet. It made for a bad sleeping experience. Our clothes in our bags… still got damp. The towels were damp. It was very uncomfortable. Staff is super friendly. We say here ALL the time. This hotel is our spot. But strangely enough the mattresses were very hard, too.

Great hotel. Friendly, clean and neat. Their restaurant was excellent. Tasty food and friendly service. It was off season so not crowded. Get there early 7am if you want the 2 person booth facing the ocean.

Stayed for 3 nights in September and enjoyed our stay. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The room while older was clean. We had an efficiency which gave us a kitchen that came in handy with a young child.

Awesome vintage hotel. Very clean for its age. Cool beach themes in rooms with wood panels and art deco furniture but again clean and nostalgic. Beds and linen clean smell good and comfortable. TV's, microwave and mini fridge. All rooms are balcony's see the moon at night and sun rise in the morning. Will definitely return. Great price for a cute place away from all the modern so called luxury facades. Good job to the owner keeping this place going. Oh yeah and a cute diner straifht out of the 60s to top it all off. Side note and only negative to mention. NO COFFEE! That was tough but $5and a trip to the diner in the morning will get you two 20oz cups to go.

I must admit that the location of this place is nice. There is a playground right outside which was perfect for my kids. The staff was courteous and friendly. However, we had a horrible experience here. We were given a ground level room. I had a bag sealed with snacks for my kids and there was an overwhelming amount of ants that surrounded the bag that was placed on the table as well as ants all over the wall. When we told staff they sent someone to spray them, which I was not comfortable with as I have young kids. So they gave us another room where I had an even worst experience. Around 1 AM I was awoken by bed bugs, my WORST nightmare. I woke up my husband and we took it up with the front desk staff member and he offered us another room at which point we requested a full reimbursement and headed to the Hampton Inn for $30 bucks more then this place charged us and they were fantastic. This whole situation was extremely inconvenient and not worth it. Definitely a situation you want to avoid while on vacation, especially with young children.

If you are looking for chic modern looking fancy look elsewhere. It is comfy affordable clean and close to everything. And Oceanview!

Good location. Literally steps from the beach, awesome staff. So happy they had last minute availability. Down side is the rooms are small & there are ants. :-/ Over all not too bad of a place.

Good location. Pool. Bikes. And ants (that's the down side). Also, the TV was mounted crooked on the wall. And no coffee in the room. Who does that? My wife says "it's better than it looks online. " Oh, and there's a cool muscle beach-type thing right across the boardwalk. So, you know, after you work out you don't have to get all sweaty walking back. Overall, it's worth the money.

We were originally planning on staying at the neptune park inn, and our room wasn't ready at 4 p. M. Check In time… and we waited over an hour & a half before deciding to cancel and stay somewhere else. We were so lucky to run across this hidden gem! Affordable, clean, beach front. I have no complaints at all. The employees were very friendly and got us a room in under 10 minutes. Considering this was not our original place, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else but here. Perfect location. The diner attached is also a nice added plus! Thank you thank you thank you! Highly recommend.

Location was perfect only about 10 steps from the beach, with workout/jungle gym bars and rings. You can tell the room was dated (could use and update), but was still nice for the price. Staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. There is also a small dinner at the bottom of the hotel that was packed!

View is fantastic, employees were great and very helpful. Rooms and hotel in general are clean. Location is great, we were able to not only walk right to the beach but plenty of places to eat in walking distance and we are right on the board walk.

Great hotel, nice rooms, oceanfront, super nice people! Really enjoyed my stay Would give 5 stars except the parking lot is terrible… very limited, very small and maneuvering around in the small spaces (especially if you drive anything larger than a compact car) is horrible.

That one custodian (you'll know whom I am talking about once you see him) is a little creepy. I caught him in my room going through my underwater in my suitcase. But he said he was just looking for the Bible that was supposed to be in the room. Easy mistake, just a little creepy. Disregarding this, I had an awesome stay!

Polite staff, but the room was extremely expensive for what I got. Dirty, run down. The shower wall had hair from the last guess stuck to it and I found feces in the tub drain. Absolutely disgusting.

The Belvedere diner is the best! My favorite omelette ever and you can't beat the view of the ocean/boardwalk. Fast service and delicious breakfast food!

Small beach hotel with staff that takes care if you. Great diner on site for breakfast all rooms face the ocean woth balconies. We are returning guests of the Belvedere.

Very typical diner. Nothing special but the view was hard to beat.

Love going to the diner for breakfast and getting the Eye Openner. Always great to go before work/surf sesh and watchin the waves while grubbin on some awesome food.

Visited there last year. And are going back again this year! Wonderful Friendly place to stay! Not too Fancy or Stuffy. Relaxing environment. Perfect for families, Right on the Beach. Great Little Diner Attached. We had a family reunion there. And it was perfect. Not too small to be on top of each other. But not so big that we missed seeing everyone! Must Go. Can't recommend higher.

I called the Belvedere "Resort" last night. I've been staying there both Spring and Fall for about the last ten years. I lost my job last year, so money's been tight. I asked the gentleman who answered the phone of they were willing to negotiate on the room rate. We were going to stay seven nights. He said, "no. " So I asked him if they were filled to capacity next week. He said, "no. " "So, you're not filled to capacity, AnD you're not willing to negotiate on a room rate, " I said. And he said, "no. " sssiiiiigggghhhhh I guess I don't understand how hotels do business. Ssssiiiigggghhhhh The Belvedere is one of the last "Mom and Pop" Motels on VA Beach's oceanfront. When the owners finally sell the property, they will makes millions! Perhaps that's why they don't need to book any more rooms than they want.

Stayed here in April 2010 — Really clean oceanfront hotel, very reasonably priced, staff is extremely friendly and professional, coffee shop is excellent, this place is great! Free bikes, amazing location, I can't say enough about this resort. LOVE IT and can't wait to return in 2011.
