“You get what you paid for” is the proper term for this hotel. My stay with them was horrible. The room smelled like wet clothes smell that has been left in the laundry for too long. The skin in the bathroom was busted so we were forced to use the sink in the “kitchen”. They didn’t provide any towels or blankets. The Ac/heater constantly went off. The smell made it very hard to breathe, especially at night. My family and I left early because we could no longer deal with that smell. Over all my experience wasn’t the greatest, you can find better hotels for the same price.

Poor customer service seems to be a continued trend. They need to hire a new person at the front desk. Went to resolve a cancelled reservation… best decision of all time was cancelling. Wouldn't stay here if my life depended on it.

Hah, truly the weirdest hotel experience I’ve ever Had. Room was expensive because it was the weekend… I got it. There were two beds, one blocking the bathroom door (that had punch holes in it). No top sheets and just one of those gross bed covers. Luckily I packed some sheets because I was glances at some of these reviews. There were no windows in our room and we had to walk up some sketchy stairs to get to our floor. Couldn’t check in until 5 because the cleaning lady wasn’t done. All in all, very weird. Felt like a hostel in a third world country.

Worst hotel experience I have ever had. I have been traveling to Virginia Beach for over 15 years with my in-laws who have been coming here for almost 30 years. I have never had to leave a hotel because of how bad was. Day 1 we checked in. That night we find out the tub is clogged. They tried to fix it but still clogged. There is a big open hole in the front wall with exposed electric which the manager tell we is waiting for inspection and is not hooked up. Day 2 they move us to a new room. Smells like smoke though it is non smoking. I noticed e the one smoke detector is pulled off wall and covered with plastic bag. Day 3 bedroom smoke detector chirps for a low battery. Desk clerk removes it from the room and does not return. Day 4 I asked to check out and go to a new hotel. Manager refuses to provide a refund for the remaining two nights. Will not give me her name and blames the owners. I ask her to call the owner to approve a refund and she refused. I got a copy of the receipt and left for a new hotel with no refund. Will for file complaint with city fire and construction officials as well as my credit card company.

Beside the ac not working the sand in the pull out bed and the used CONDOM in the floor it's a great place! What the heck kind of place is this. For this place to have connection to Knights Inn is crazy. I ask for cleaning to come service and it has not happened as I'm writing this 5hrs later. Ask for refund full or partial, moved rooms or something. And basically was told nothing will be done. While make sure I post the picture and info Everywhere! Pic is posted. And lady at the front desk is absolutely useless.

When we checked in at about 10 pm, the Clerk put us in a room on the 4th floor. She described it as a Suite. We walked to the 3rd floor, noticed a narrow stairway leading to the 4th floor. When we got up the stairs, there were paint cans and other items in the hallway. We found our room, and it was NOT a Suite. It had 2 beds, a small fridge ON a table, a TV and a Microwave. The fridge did not work and the AC only worked on High or not at all, no in between. We figured it was late and our 2 Toddlers were exhausted, so it would do for 1 night. The toddlers fell asleep, the the guy a few rooms down started slamming his door, screaming, throwing and breaking things. When he finally settled down, his TV was still loud. When I addressed this the next morning, and told the Clerk we will not be staying another night, she stated that the guy screaming was the Hotel MAINTENANCE MAN! and that we were already charged full price for both nights. She did put us in a regular Suite for the 2nd night of our stay, and that room was very acceptable. However, NO offer of a discount or refund for putting us on the 4th floor where the EMPLOYEES LIVE. Very unacceptable.

Nice staff, room is alright. The living room TV had no remote and the bedroom door appeared to be broken (pictured). Still, it's close to a lot of stuff, including the beach.

The room was pretty clean, but the breakfast bar left alot to be desired unless you enjoy little bites muffins. Cockroaches are present and quiet large.

Location was great, a block up from the beach. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Our suite had 2 doubles beds and a sofa bed. The breakfast bar was lacking, but hey, it was included. I would definitely stay here again.

Location was GREAT! However, parking is VERY limited in comparison to the amount of rooms. Nearest parking once lot is full is the parking deck down the street for an additional $10/day. Upon arrival the young lady at the front desk was SUPER nice but once we got into the room our stay went downhill. The a/c unit was “not in service”, there was a chunk of wall missing from beside the unit with black mold growing on it, a cockroach in the bathtub, what looked to be vomit on the boxspring cover, a dry, crusty substance on one of the comforters, mold/mildew also on the shower curtain, there is “cable” meaning ONE cable channel on each TV in the room. The front TV area offered CMT ONLY & the TV in the “bedroom” offered NBC ONLY. The channels could NOT be changed with a remote nor the buttons on the actual TV. Definitely OVER PRICED considering the condition & cleanliness of the room.

Disgusting. Beds were filthy, room was filthy we had to sleep on the couch and floor the entirety of the trip, were denied a partial refund at the front desk by the uninformative manager who lied to us about being I'm charge from the moment we landed. Never again, avoid at all cost Wyndham should let them go from their line up.

Omfg this place is awful. Do NOT ever stay here. The most rundown place ever. Heating/cooling unit out of service. Bedding was definitely not clean. Blankets in the drawers were also not clean. Bathroom was disgusting. Molding was peeled off the walls. Side tables were never cleaned. People live on this property that work here and they are loud. This place is hot garbage. I saw the room and knew I couldn’t do it.

This is one of them motel/hotels that make you feel dark. If that makes any sense. Its like you cant cut on enough lights for it to brighten up. It could use some updates but its overall good. Close to the beach walking distance. Great views too.

I gave 3 stars because of the rates but the rooms are dirty there was a huge roach we had to kill, sheets were dirty the ac didn’t work the rooms are spacious and this place has the potential to be a nice place to stay but not without the Necessary updates and cleaning.

I’ll never stay here again. There’s no dinning area so had to take my breakfast to my room. And all they had were little muffins. They were all out of milk and cereal. The room I got was big though. It had a kitchen area with a full sink, microwave and mini fridge and cabinets. NO stove. Area had 2 couches and a dinning table. The room they gave us was apparently under renovation. There were outlets no patched, dust EVERYWHERE! Even on the hangers. It was very dirty. Also the toilet seat looked gross. The faucet shower had a leak. Decor is very old looking. The outside needs a lot of paint, looks dingy. First night I paid $40 on Friday, Saturday was $80. If the room hadn’t been so dusty I would have given this place 3 stars. Oh and the Wi-Fi sucks. It keeps disconnecting. I have to manually reconnect it every 10 mins. This place needs a lot of Reno to do. It’s a short walk away from the beach and the vending machine in the lobby had pepto bismol and sunscreen, tums. That’s the only positives.

The housekeepers should be fired I found a water bottle behind the table in the Room sling with a huge dead cockroach, a shower cap behind three bathroom door all kinds of trash under the bed also the have roaches. There aren't a bunch but enough for me to notice there was a huge hole in the wall I guess for construction but I guess you get what you paid for but still I feel like $39 is still too much for this place.

STAY AWAY from this place. Paid in advance for 1 week (7 nights) for our son and they kicked him out after only 6 nights. Crooks. Thank goodness we paid with credit card to recover their theft.

There are lots of weekly rentals in Virginia Beach, and this is one of them. If you are relocating and don't mind living very simply, this place is ideal. If you are a hardy person who likes a good deal, you'll be pleased. If you are high-maintenance, you might be happier elsewhere. It really is just a stone's throw from the ocean, restaurants, and nightlife. Gro-sto is within walking distance, either FarmFresh or HT. You can bring your kids here. You might want to bring some extra linen, and some can liners. This is a relaxed, very laid-back atmosphere. You can chill, but it's QUIET, okay? After running upon a snag with the 'cream' of Oceanfront society for a landlady, this was a good place for a crash landing.

This is a reasonable place to reinvent oneself in the off season. Got a book to write? Songs to compose? You could do that here. Unassuming. Quiet.

Pricing is bad it's quite expensive for a smelly couches, beds, slow running water in the shower, and clogging toilet. I hope management would realize that it's not about business all the time but taking care of their equipment, upgrade of services and continue to grow as one of the great suites in America. This location just didn't do their best, it's really bad.

I am giving this a one cause it is cheep rooms but the rooms wouldn't be bad if they were clean better. We stayed there for 4 nights and they didnt clean the room. Didn't vacuum, didn't make beds, it was dirty when we got there. They need to clean better. The toilets needed to be clean, it was gross. The only good thing was it was close to the beach and they gave us clean towels every day.

I didn't like anything about it. The property is run down and dirty. They put us in a smoking room when I reservation clearly said none smoking. They did not clean the room when I went to the little office the young lady told me that they only clean the rooms every other day… I had to ask for towels at 8:00 clock at night. We had to go and ask for tissue on Sunday morning because we ran out. This place horrible it should cost 59.99 we paid 474.00 to stay in the Dump of a hotel because of False Advertisement the pictures does not look like this place… It should be shut down.

Large room. Close to the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping could have been better. We cleaned the coffee maker before we could use it, it was greasy. Could use some updating. And it smelled like cigarette smoke inside. But overall we we happy and would come back again, just because of the beach access and price.

Stains literally everywhere. First room had a strong urine stench around the couch area. At first we thought it was the musty smell from the carpet then realized that it was, in fact, urine. Got transferred to a room with a lumpy brown futon, that had a large white stain on it. Tub was gross, toilet seat was gross. We had to throw a towel over the toilet seat because it was seriously disgusting. We didn't step foot in the shower either because the tub floor was scary. Kitchen was nice looking and new. The rooms have a lot of potential to be great, however, right now they are just so used, dirty and stinky. Stale cereal offered, & based on the rooms I wouldn't expect anything less than old cereal and spoiled milk, these people don't care about cleanliness. I wish I could get a refund or at least a price reduction — I paid $129 plus tax, total of $150. Next time I will read the reviews and pay a bit extra for a more decent stay.

I have use this hotel many of times and each time always great. My girlfriend and I was in this hotel from 5-11-17 to 5-14-17 and had a really great time. The room was well kept and clean. Staff was friendly and it was quiet. Its a great location to smell the beach air. Thank you for the great experience. Only complaints I have is parking really tight when busy hard to open doors to get out. "especially when you drive a Lincoln" But all in all a good experience. Thanks you.

PLEASE READ! Worst experience ever… if u choose to stay here please check your room especially if u have children… we found a camera recording everyone including my 11 year old showering and using the bathroom… cops were involved.

The place is under new ownership and they renovating it. They are updating everything. I was wondering about it with the bads and goods on the place, but I decided to stay and give it a chance. My family and I was grerted with friendly smiles and helpful hospitality. It was a great location to the beach and plenty of space in the room. You can tell they are working hard to update. They still need to work on beds and couch mattresses but it is isnt that bad. I would recommend this place.

Much cleaner than I expected, giving its motel status. A great option for saving money for going out, since you most likely won't be spending much time in your room.

The room smelled awful but was a decent size. I DO NOT recommend this hotel for anyone! They are infested with BED BUGS! My boyfriend and I only stayed only one night and got bit up extremely bad from head to toe. Including our ears and face. Now we have to worry about if we brought any of the bugs to our home or not. Again, I do NOT recommend this hotel. The man at the front desk did not care about our needs or any of the other guest that were walking in and out of the lobby, but only interested in recieving our money.

Do NOT stay here unless you are ok with awfull service and dirty creepy place. I have booked a room far in advance, and the hotel: 1) did not manage to get a deposit and called my cell to get a credit card info over the phone 2) called again the morning of check-in saying they can NOT accomodate us — they offered a Knights Inn 8 miles away from the beach and ended up "letting" us stay at the original location after over 2 hours on the phone. No compensation was offered, nobody even apologized for wasting our time. This hotel makes its problems — guests' problems. In addition to bad service (and almost rude receptionist) the rooms and the whole building will make you regret you booked that place: weird stains on the bed covers, sand in the bathroom, bad breakfast, tiny windows and not enough light. Never again.

Pretty sure you aren't suppose to walk on carpet and have your feet turn black. Weird stains on sheets and towels. Front desk was beyond hateful. We called MONTHS ahead and book our room. We asked multiple times if it was okay for someone under 21 to check in. They told us every time YES it is perfectly fine. We go to check in and get bitched at for not being 21. (We are 20 good grief)

When I went there I was greeted with smiles all the staff was very friendly and nice they will my favorite part was meeting dawn Hughes she helped a lot she understood me when I couldn't barely even speak English she had a smile on her face every time I saw her.

We stayed only one night in this hotel. But that was enough. First of all receptionist gave us a room and we saw a lot of bedbugs. Then he changed our room. But this time the room smells Indian curry spices. Also, we saw a bedbug and I killed it in this room too. Another thing is that the beds are very uncomfortable. I woke up with backache. The hotel has a great location but the management sucks.

For what this inn lacks, it makes up in friendliness, location, and cheap prices. I had a single room with two beds for a decent price with it being Memorial Day weekend. Like most shops in VA Beach it is staffed by foreign people, however they were curteous, and very friendly. Bathrooms are an A+. Televisions are outdated but performed with no problems. The mini fridge, sink, and microwave were very useful. No pool and less than mediocre breakfast. Please be careful in the parking lot. Overall, we got more than what we paid for. If you're tight on money, I'd recommend a stay in this establishment.

Do not go there please. Other guest damaged my car but the Indian very mean employees did nothing not even call the guest! If you go you to prepare your self for the most filthy suit full of bed bugs and keep an eye on your car, any one can damage it and left or denied like that pierced bitch with her ugly children who ruined my vacation and not bother even to apology! Believe me it is the most disgusting please I ever been. The only good thing is close to the beach. This motel not worth even one star. Bad administration, Indian Bombay money greedy only.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for about a month. What I liked about it was there was a living room and bedroom in my unit with T. V's in both rooms. The staff is mostly foreigners who speak little English, but they were very friendly and accommodating. The price was low and it was clean and comfy. It was during the winter also and I'm sure the rates go up for Spring and Summer. The air condition wasn't working and there was some residents that were fighting loudly one time, but when I informed the desk people, they promptly took care of it. But for the price, and its right across the street from the Oceanfront, it was a pleasurable experience and they do keep it looking nice and clean. I would recommend it to people on a budget who aren't real snooty and picky, you will be comfortable and safe for the most part.

I've been staying here for four years. Parking is tight, but very close to the beach. Not dirty and no bugs. Nice to have a kitchen and seperate bedroom when someone snores as I do. I recomend this place. Enjoy your stan and check our Chicho's Pizza? YUMMY.

We got there on time as soon as we got to the room it was so damp almost felt like someone sprayed water on the couch and bed. I did not see any roach like every else is talking about but may be I was in the first floor and the next thing I did not like is their parking space it is so narrow it is hard to park and if you succeed in parking gudluck getting out cause you wont be able to open your door lol. I took my altima only 40k mile came back home with dents all over cause of people parking too close and one near sunroof I don't know how but the hotel is cheap and very close to the beach. I will go back there but next time I will take my work car lol. Thanks.

After reading the reviews, I expected the worst place ever. I thought about the dirtiest place infested with bugs. But I paid under fifty bucks for my room and I was amazed about the size of it. It's better than most cheap places. It's not the Hilton or the Merriot but I found NO BUGS, NO BITE MARKS and it wasnt as dirty as I imagined. I actually had anxiety about staying here but I had a very pleasant stay. Nothing but good times and good memories.
