I had came to this resort twice when I traveled to Virginia Beach. Just a great resort to relax and have fun time with your family. Great services and friendly staffs. Comfortable room, very clean. I love their pool, they have both inside and outside pool. Right price.

The elevators are not working and we got stuck in one. The pool needs to be condemned. Everything has old dirt on it like a old automotive garage. Staff is nice and trying their best but you can tell the owners have checked out. No more money coming in. Not worth the price of the rooms. My opinion air BnB is much better.

I really wanted to give this hotel at least 3 stars because it has so much potential to be better. The rooms are spacious which I liked for the kids but the carpets in our hotel room were so filthy. My 1 hear old hands and feet turned black after being in the room for just 5 minutes. I asked the housekeeping staff twice to bring fresh towels but the never showed. I asked for new bedding same thing happened. The pool would be nice if it wasn't full of sand. The gym equipment was run down and filthy.

Only giving 1 star because I am unable to give it a 0. This will be the first and LAST time we stay at this hotel. As a paying customer to staying in the hotel we came back to find NO parking because they were hosting a prom. The outside pool was very dirty and the hot tub was not even in service our entire stay as well as the restaurant only benign available to us for one day because of a “private event” even though it is the only restaurant in the hotel. We had to let the shower run for a good 10 minutes before we could get in to let it warm up. We were not offered a do not disturb sign for the door so we contacted the front desk and housekeeping to let them know we did not want our room serviced, to come back from the beach to find 3 maids in our room. The cable TV they did offer in the room had only about 2 channels that were not blurry. It was an overall terrible experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Nice for the price. Pretty clean and spacious rooms. Only wish that our corner room had a balcony, as corners seemed to be the only ones without them. Great view though and the beach is really nice and not too crowded there. Bathroom could use a makeover but it's still better than some places. Parking are tight which doesn't go well with people who can't park their giant SUVs and trucks. Also can't see how there's enough parking during peak season since it was pretty full at night when we got back. Would stay here again though because it's nice to be away from the touristy oceanfront part of Virginia Beach. The bay is much less crowded.

I have stayed at this hotel twice now and on both occasions I have been very impressed! I have stayed at other throughout the country but nothing compares to the quality of service, the cleanness of the rooms and quality food overall to this hotel! The staff there are always helpful and friendly and would go the extra mile to help you. The food is incredible especially for a budget hotel I am surprised how good it actually tastes and looks, both breakfast and evening meal was very delicious! Both of my room's I got on both occasions were clean and everything was in working order + I hardly heard the dreaded heavy room doors "slam" or "hear noisy people" walk along the isles. If you ever stay at this hotel request to stay on the top business floor to ensure the best night for sleep! I will be back again for sure you have my custom for life whenever I am in Southampton this will be the only hotel I stay in! Room Tip: Request "business floor" room for BEST NIGHT SLEEP and order the unlimited breakfast too!

Nice location to the water and to Virginia Beach main area but not much else was nice. Room was dated (old TV, dingy tables and chairs, missing linens for pullout couch). Also, burnt light bulb in bathroom, hot water took 5minutes to get hot. Outdoor pool not acceptable for swimming and outdoor rinse shower not functional. People that were part of the group tried to check in at 9pm and room wasn't cleaned… seriously? The clerk at check in was friendly but this was early in the day. Linen situation was resolved quickly. Unsure of why the check in process seemed dysfunctional in the evening. If this was not funded by my company I WOULD NOT recommend this to anyone.

The rooms were dirty, there was hair in the bath tub and sheets of the bed. We came with a big group that took up a whole floor and one day our whole group got locked out of our rooms. Our keys were disabled. The air conditioning barely worked and couldn’t be adjusted. The shower had NO hot water the whole trip. There were bugs, bed bugs, and mold in rooms. Also, the rooms were very loud. You could hear everything in the hallway. The only good things about this hotel was the beach.

The hotel definitely shows some age, but the rooms are spacious and the waterfront is great. I had two bad experiences. First, my room had issues with the hot water in the shower. After calling maintenance, the best they could do to fix it was to remove the stop screw and instruct me how to pull out the knob halfway and turn it slightly to get hot water. Crazy. Second, the restaurant was catering breakfast for a 300 member high school band. It thus took 1 hour to get an order of 2 pancakes with bacon. The hostess was very apologetic and rightly took care of my check. Overall, the amenities of the water and space outweigh the negatives of the age of the hotel. Also, with regard to the restaurant experience, I was here before the season started so they didn't have the summer staff that they would normally have to handle the crowd that was here.

Good location. Room was clean. Restaurants within walking distance. Easy access to main roads. Do a little research ahead of time. Reasonable price. On the bay not the ocean. Stayed a few days when working in the area.

This was our best visit to the hotel yet. The staff was courteous & friendly. The room was oceanview and the weather was mid 80's. We enjoyed the view from the balcony and sipped cold drinks til the sun went down. Dockside Restaurant is just a 5 minute drive away and the seafood cant be beat. My husband liked their workout room & sauna in the early morning, while I slept in. Great stay.

My husband and I are planning a trip to Virginia Beach for a wedding, after reading reviews we were a little uncertain on whether or not to stay here, however, we decided to go for it and we are not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and our room was an updated room. Even though they said it was not a ocean view we had a view of the ocean from our patio. We had plenty of hot water for oir small family of 3 and got a good night's rest. I would recommend it for the price and with the private beach access. If your looking for high end, this is not the place. The hotel is a little out-dated… and the restaurant attached to it was okay but nothing special.

Spent the weekend here at a conference with 4 other girls and we were initially placed in a room with one king bed. After talking to the front concierge, we were moved to a room with 4 beds and a pull-out couch — which was amazing! Great views, great bar, great restaurant, great room-service, essentially it was a great time. What really made it special was how friendly everyone working at this hotel was, it felt as though I was leaving my best friend's house by the end of the weekend. It is also located right on the shore, making downtime perfect for hitting the beach!

I want to love this place because it has such potential. It is right on the beach! Unfortunately it continues to disappoint. They are trying to do a happy hour but each manager seems to execute it differently. The bartenders are nice, but service is horribly slow. Food is fantastic sometimes… same dish might be inedible the next time. This place needs serious improvements. Bring back the bands and we may return.

Indoor pool, jacuzzi and gym facilities we're well maintained, rooms were large with separate living room and bedroom, and nice bathrooms. Everything in our room was fine though our friends had no water in their room almost all weekend. Property is run down looking and needs a lot of maintenance. Restaurant was so so. Staff however was exceptionally nice. With updates and maintenance could be a really nice hotel. I would recommend if it's a budget option, but can't recommend it highly due to the high levels of obvious neglect by the owners.

Meeting spaces are clean and tidy but a bit worn and dated. Didn't stay so no opinion on the guest rooms. Parking for non-guests it's entirely inadequate. And forget it if you are here during beach weather.

Room was spacious with a bit of a view but dated. Whole property was rather dated. Room had a small kitchenette but no microwave. It is the off season, but the clerk put us up on the 6th floor and the elevator was broken. When we checked out, it was still broken and had to bring all luggage down seven flights of stairs. No discount offered or consolation of any kind. Morning clerk knew said it had been an issue for a while. I will look for another hotel next time.

This has to be one of the worse places we have stayed. The rooms were nasty. There was barely hot enough water to take a shower. You can't even buy coffee on premises till the restaurant or gift shop opened. This may have been a nice place when it was new, but it needs a ton of work. We will never darken the door of this establishment again. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

I loved the view of the Chesapeake Bay bridge at night time very calming after a long day. The room was lovely on the 6th floor. I would of liked the staff to make sure all the lights work prior to me checking into the room for the price paid for my stay.

The hotel rooms were a little weird. There was no doors between the living room and the bedroom and the only door there was was to the bathroom where the shower in the toilet was. That's all fine and good but for privacy, when you have six people, you just don't get it. The View was good and the people were nice I would go back if it was just my husband and I.

Other reviews of this place were a bit spotty. If you judge this place just on the room itself, it was pretty good. We did not use the other amenities of the hotel, but they looked a little so so. Nice ocean view from our room.

Was there for a Banquet. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. Our banquet room faced the Chesapeake Bay Bridge which was enchanting at night. I wish our host had advised of how the parking was laid out. Had we know which ballroom we were in, we could have parked right outside the door vs in the front of the building and having such a long walk. All in all it was a nice experience.

We recently stayed at this property for a wedding weekend. The check-in process was easy, however the hotel staff was not friendly or helpful (didn't tell us where to park, what time check out was, etc). The room setup is very strange, and the beds are located close to the hotel hallway, which is EXTREMELY NOISY. The walls are SUPER THIN so plan to hear every door open/close and everyone walk by. The door wiggled nonstop all night. The room wasn't immaculate by any means but had a refrigerator. Another hotel guest told us they had valuables stolen from their room. Location is great, but this hotel needs a major change to survive.

Good service, but a renovation wouldn't hurt …
Also, at least a coffee bar for breakfast, as is customary in most hotels, would be desirable.

We stayed here almost a week. Our room had a bedroom on the hall side with living area on the beach side with a balcony and a great view. The balcony furniture was filthy and since the bedroom was on the hall, it was quite noisy. Even more noisy when the beds creaked. While we were there we ran out of toilet paper, soap, towels and electricity. Not that the electricity part was the hotel's fault. Housekeeping didn't seem to care to replenish what we needed despite repeated calls. Some days they showed up, some they didn't. So far as I could tell the room was never swept while we were there. There was some sort of large crumb on the floor near the table we got there and it was still there until I couldn't stand it anymore 3 days later. Fortunately, the front desk staff was pretty good and was able to supply most of what we needed so long as we would trek down there to get it. When the electricity went out, the stairwells were not lit sufficiently to use them. Guests with cell phone flashlights helped those without navigate. Hotel staff didn't seem to care or set up any kind of temporary lighting. The restaurant and bar were pretty good and their staff was friendly and helpful. The kids enjoyed the pool and sauna. I could go on but I won't. I won't stay here again.

Location is directly on the beach, and actually includes a private beach. The hotel also has a full-service restaurant and a gift shop that serves more casual breakfast and lunch fare. Hotel is a little bit dated, but not terribly much. Generally, absolutely loved the place. Room contained two double beds, a Roku TV, and an older TV in the sitting area. Also, a kitchenette with a microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge. It was basically a small apartment, minus an actual stove. Balcony was large and had chairs and a view of the ocean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this resort! It was clean, quiet, and the service was outstanding! I did not get to check into the hotel until around 11pm, but we were greeted by a lively and lovely host who even recommend where to get some yummy late night pizza; and this was just the beginning to a wonderful stay!  I have outlined my TOP 5 THINGS at Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center that you do not want to miss 1. EVERY ROOM IS A SUITE Yes, you read that right! Every single room at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center is a suite! Complete with a kitchenette, dining table, living area, huge bathroom and double sink! But, my favorite thing about the room was that when I walked in I was greeted to full wall of windows welcoming me to an ocean view that could not be beat! 2. CLEANLINESS Something I always get scared about when staying at a hotel, especially on the beach, is how clean it will be. With traffic (and sand! ) going in and out all day I was not expecting much. The Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center is by-far one of the cleanest places I have stayed on the beach. Toiletries were always stocked, not a crumb was on the floor, and there were even towel animals greeting me when I walked in! 3. QUIET BEACH LIFE One thing that I kept telling myself during my stay was how quiet it was!

This place could really be nice if the owners &/or staff cared. Service in the restaurant is iffy, at best. The food is good but service is slow & they appeared to be constantly short handed. The rooms are okay, not bad for the price. The elevators crawl, if both of them are working. They do have plenty of meeting/class rooms, which is a huge plus for what we were there for. With some TLC & more staff it could be a 5 star hotel. Till then, I can only give it 3.

I rented a room for my grandkids and myself over Labor Day. The room was clean. Amenities plenty. Access to pool and beach. Pool is inside flowing out. Sauna and hot tub. Staff was courteous and got us everything we needed. Not a fancy hotel but met our needs and the price was right!

It is a place that is close to the beach and a perfect space for small weddings.

The hospitality at this location is top-notch, my girlfriend and I immediately felt at home once we checked in. The view of the bay is beautiful and it is a convenient distance from the boardwalk. It so happens that a conference was being hosted by the American Legion while I was there so I was able to interact with other Legionnaires but they also host weddings and family reunions. It's the perfect place for various such events.

Recently, a group from my Church (FVAUMC) has organized a summer event for our Church members. Most of our Senior members stayed at this resort hotel and everyone were very satisfied with the services and how clean the rooms are. We are very pleased that Cheryl Wolf has given us a great discounted rate so we can block out some rooms for our members. Overall, it was a great experience to stay at this resort hotel.

This is our favorite beach destination within 4 hours from NOVA. We have been staying here multiple times each summer for the past 3 years and never were disappointed. This summer we came with our 5 months old and it's more a "balcony" vacation, the hotel is just perfect — one of us can go swimming and sees the rest of the family in the balcony, so we all can be together and see each other. The staff is professional, very kind and understanding. Sunrises and sunsets are absolutely magnificent there! I am pleased to see that the hotel is updating — since our last visit previous month new balcony furniture had been bought.

I have stayed in this hotel on business twice a year for the last 6 years, great location and great beaches but this hotel is extremely dated, either they need a complete renovation or to remove the word "resort" from the name. Every stay I've had there has been an issue with my room, from pizza boxes left out from the previous guests to having the fridge in the middle of the living room. Hotel staff needs to monitor the pool area to enforce rules on juveniles after 11 being unsupervised in the spa area. Pretty hard to relax in the hot tub when kids are doing cannonballs. My final and biggest complaint, don't ever be in a hurry if you summon an elevator, usually they are out of order. If you want to call yourself a resort step it up.

Location, service, food, were great. Beach front. Indoor and outdoor pools available, jacuzzi, and about 25 yards to ocean. Balcony views provide long view of ocean and beach front. Pier fishing close. Paddle board, sailboat rentals available on beach. Would visit again.

We arrived before our check in time and they allowed us to go ahead and check in. Very polite staff checking in and out. Very helpful in trying to find vending machines. Beach access beautiful, nice pool, well air conditioned room. All rooms face the water, some just have closer views. Would stay again.

Nice view but hotel needs updating. Went into restaurant inside hotel and decided to eat outside on deck. Host sat us and after 10min and no waiter showed up, we left. Other than that… not bad. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk where the waves are nice and calm… this may be the spot. Bay front with King is the way to go.

Room was mostly clean but there were stains on couch chairs and floor. The bed was fine though. Patio it designed to give you loads of privacy. The beach is very nice and not very full. Has indoor/ outdoor pool too.

The staff work really hard to make sure you have a great time! Indoor pool, sauna, hot tub and fitness center is in EXCELLENT shape and very well maintained. Room was nice, mattresses were great, but pillows were too soft for my liking. The beach was perfect and not crowded because everything there was private. So many fantastic places very close by too!

First things first: If you are considering staying here, turn around now! This is above and beyond the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed at. And I enjoy travelling, I enjoy road trips, so I have stayed at some $25 a night hotels, and they managed to have a higher standard of cleanliness than this hotel. Our first clue should have been when we pulled into the parking garage. The ceiling is water damaged and falling apart, but we brushed it aside as "It could simply be maintenance that needs to happen. " Our second clue should have been that one of the fire sprinklers in the parking garage was apparently leaking, and there were two maintenance people there, spraying expanda-foam INTO the sprinkler. I'm pretty sure that's a fire hazard. But, as we arrived at 10:30 at night with a 2 year old, we were desperate for sleep and went up to the room. First impression upon entering the room: Touch nothing. Do not drink the water, leave your shoes on at all times. To give the hotel credit, when the hotel was first built, and all of the furniture and carpeting was brand new, I'm certain it was nice. However it was quickly apparent that NONE of that has been updated since the hotel was originally built. The couch had so many stains on it, I wouldn't even let my husband set the luggage on it. The desk chair had so many stains on it, it quickly got pushed back under the desk. The carpet had a multitude of stains: White, brown, red, some melted wax thrown in for good measure.

I was there for a weekend conference. The Conference was fantastic, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. But the rooms are HORRIBLE. Upon arrival into my room the carpet was dirty, stained and old. I asked for a baggage rack and was told they had none. The rooms are very outdated and dirty. No one came to change my towels or make the bed. No hot water. The excuse was the same as it was 3 years ago. We are working on it. We were also told 3 years ago that they were in the process of remodeling. How long does it take? I heard so many horror stories from the conference attendees concerning their room this weekend that was very disappointing. I only give this a 1 star because of the staff and food. Other than that it would be nothing.

The only nice part of this place was the staff. Very friendly and were nice people. Other than that it is EXTREMELY out of date. The hallway carpet was covered in different very noticeable stains. My room carpet, couch and chairs were also very stained. Me and my girlfriend stayed one night and went to go to bed around 1am when we realized our pillow cases had make up stains and hair on them. Needless to say we slept without pillows. The hot water wasn't working when I went to shower in the morning. I told the front desk and they was over a page of complaints of hot water issues. She said they were working on the pipes and shut the hot water off for a little but things "didn't go as planned" with the work so there was no hot water. I wasn't looking for money back but given the situation I felt it would have been appropriate for them to offer something for the large inconveniences. I was offered nothing. I will not be staying there again.

Don't waste your time or money! We just stayed here on October 30, 2015 til November 1, 2015 for a women's conference. The staff was very rude and unconcerned. We had 14 rooms reserved. There was only one elevator working for a seven story building that had several functions going on this weekend. I asked a staff member where the elevator was and her reply was I don't know. I asked her what was the evacuation plan if there was a fire or some other emergency her reply was It doesn't matter to me because I work downstairs, That was a great reply to a PAYING customer. When I talked to management there wasn't much of an apology there either. We asked for more towels and wash clothes in our rooms and it took 30 minutes of which they only brought towels so we waited another 30 minutes for washcloths. Two of the rooms had bedbugs and the only offered another room no discount or refund. I will not recommend this hotel to any one unless they RETRAIN their STAFF on customer service, how to plan events and document clear communication to their customers.

I have been trying to think of something nice to say about this hotel and can only think of one thing – the staff in the coffee shop helped make for a pleasant day. This hotel is old and very much in need of repair/updating. Yes, they are in the process of doing some upgrades but for some reason they seem to think they can and should charge a premium for lodging in a hotel that has very poor room conditions with housekeeping that leaves a lot to desire. One room cleaning for a three night stay is not acceptable nor are elevators that are very slow and in need of repair/upgrading in a seven story structure acceptable. Our room did have new carpet but that is as far as it went. The rest of the room was very much in need of upgrading. Also there was one luggage cart for the entire hotel. Of lesser importance but still a nuisance, parking spaces are very narrow and access to the hotel from Shore Drive is not the best. There are too many good lodging choices in this area and this is not one I would recommend.

We stayed here for a wedding and weekend get away. Weren't impressed at all by the "Virginia beach resort" as many said, the place is seriously outdated. Our first room smelled like a sewer and everything was damp (floor, bed, couch, everything). We were able to switch rooms with out problems and the front desk was very nice about it. Our new room was some what better. Still didn't smell great but was better. I was slightly nervous sleeping on the sheets because the whole place just looks dirty. When laying in bed, it's VERY loud. You can hear everything going on outside and we were woken up in the morning by all the commotion in the hall. Positive things would be friendly staff, spacious rooms, location, and amenities such has indoor/ out door pool, hot tub, beach access, gift shop, restaurant/bar, tennis courts, and the beds were comfy. Overall, wouldn't stay again or reccomend.

Father and Mother of the Groom would not recommend this hotel at all. This hotel was suggested by the Lessner Inn which we have informed of all the problems. The rooms were OVER PRICED considering the hotel condition. The rooms were filthy. Carpets and upholstery on furniture were extremely stained, soiled and damaged. Hotel and rooms were very outdated. Showers had low pressure due to faulty tub spout. Some of our guest complained of no hot water or A/C. The rooms are in desperate need of maintenance. Bath fan cover was hanging off ceiling. We were staying at the hotel for our Son and Daughter inlaws wedding, along with the wedding party and guest. We reserved multiple rooms for the wedding, Everyone had the same complaints so it's not just one room. We did not receive the same type of rooms that the sales staff showed us at a preview two months earlier. We spent a lot of time at the front desk trying to resolve the issues. Some of the staff were trying to be accommodating but others were extremely rude. The list goes on. Upon reading the previous reviews I can't see this hotel staying in business to much longer under the current management and owners. Word of mouth and the Internet is a power tool. Virginia Beach Resort and Conference Center you should be concerned!

Soiled carpets, stained bath tub and I never heard a vacuum running the entire 2 night stay. Complaining to management don't bother. Management doesn't care employees won't care and the service shows. I was promised an upgraded room to accommodate us and that never happened. Only stay if you see a sign new management newly remodeled. I was staying there for a wedding. I want my money back. Happy occasion but bad hotel stay experience. I will never stay there again.

This is the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in… the rooms are disgusting! The walls are dirty, carpet in the rooms and hallways are disgustingly filthy. Our bath tub had this disgusting brown thick crusty film in the tub jet stream holes. The ceiling in the hallway on the first floor by the Tradewinds restaurant was leaking a rusted color nasty water. They had buckets all throughout the hallway to catch the leaks. Carpet soaking wet and no signs to warn you of the saturated carpet area after they remove the buckets. Big carpet stains every where. There was only one working elevator (which was filty) during our 4 day stay, which meant we had to wait between 5-10 minutes for an elevator to go to and from. During the day when it was busy and people was checking in or out and room service was cleaning or delivering food, we had to wait 15-20 minutes for an elevator. We had to use the steps a lot. The parking garage on the bottom level look like a garbage dump site. There were filty mattresses, furniture, and trash thrown everywhere. You would think that they would have an assigned area enclosed behind a private gate to dump furniture and trash so hotel guest did not have to see that mess. This is a very unsanitary and hazardous dump of a hotel and should be shut down. Beware… this hotel is DEFINITELY NOT worth the money. It look like it hasn't been cleaned, inspected, or had any repairs in well over 2 decades.

Decent rooms and housekeeping but very dated and in need of a serious facelift. The best thing about the restaurant was the sunset. Other than that it was the worst service we received during our vacation. We stayed 6 nights and I never saw anyone cleaning anything but our room. Torture.

Worked here and it's a bad place. Dirty rooms, always broken elevators, high employee turnover rate and a owner who knows the hotel needs renovation but instead focuses on employee customer interaction using negative reinforcement. Stacey is more concerned about employee appearance in the form of males not being to wear ponytails and employees wearing nametags instead of addressing the real issues that so many people complain about in these reviews that are 100% true. Upper management does not make an effort to renovate and it is not happening anytime soon. Please believe as a former employee that I am warning you to avoid this place if you are looking for a comfortable place to vacation. Aside from that the conference centers are actually good and it is a decent place to throw an event. Sorry Stacey but I have to tell the people the truth.

If I could rate below a 1 star I would no doubt. The hotel was very outdated, dirty, smelly and unsatisfactory. We came here for a conference for our job and this was not the place we should have booked at all. One of our team members had bed bugs in his room very noticeable. When he confronted the front desk they asked to see the bugs? Why they need to see the bugs and not trust the customer was very disturbing. So we put the bugs on a tissue and took pictures and they did not have any compassion at all but that they are updating the hotel in October and hope we stay? That was not a fix for the situation at all and still managed to charge us. When I went to check in my room the balcony door was open and no one was in the room. There were blood stains on the pillow cases that was very nasty you would think the hotel would throw out anything they cannot fully clean instead of redistributing it. Thankfully we did not have any bed bug issues. The beds were hard and not comfortable and pillows were flat and dead. Elevators were broken only 1 was working and waiting for that was rediculous. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

This hotel is terrible! You are greeted to a parking lot that is tine and very difficult to park because the spaces are too small. Checking in is terrible and takes way too long because he computer system is from 1987 REALLY! The elevators either do not work or take so long that you might as well walk. The rooms are in dire need of an update. The carpet is worn flat. The TV is an old tube type. The beds are so hard too. The bathrooms have mold and are filthy. No hot water. Checking out takes twice as long as checking in. They still use credit card machines with carbon copy. If you take the shuttle, the seatbelts do not work. Stay somewhere else.

Staff was nice and the room was clean. It is a bit dated (think late 80's to early 90's. Although the TV's were antiques, they worked and there were two of them. The kids really enjoyed the pool and access to the beach is amazing. It is the Chesapeake Bay, so the water is pretty calm. For dinner and breakfast I highly suggest Hot Tuna and Citrus, both are within walking distance and were awesome.

I just want to say that I was here in June of 2014. The experience from the staff was great and there was a problem with the shower head. It was reported and it was dealt with the same day. The enivormental staff was nice and did clean the rooms good. Looking forward to return again.

Stayed here in 2009 and still regret it. Some of the worst service I have ever received. Thank goodness for travelocity for making things right.

The rooms were clean, and the service was excellent! I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Virginia Beach. My family will stay there again! We were in town this past weekend to attend TWO graduations of relatives. We had booked three rooms at the DAYS INN VIRGINIA BEACH (4600 Bonney Road), and upon check-in we found the rooms to be FILTHY and SMELLY to the point of nausea! Because that was a national cheerleading competition going on in town rooms were scarce. However, we were able to secure three rooms at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center. It was a God send.

Well I found it to be decent for the price I was in hopes that there kitchenette would at least have a stove top to me that's a kitchenette not just a microwave and mini fridge needs more up to date items such as the tv's for the cost of stay should have been flat screen and the hair dryer and phone was all old school. Other than that my kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

My friend and I just went here last weekend. It was an awful experience. We actually ended up switching hotels that day to was so bad. We got there, and we were taken to our room, but it was filled with other people's things. So, our next room we got, the keys didn't work. After leaving to explore we came back and the new keys didn't irk. The hotel room was outdated, didn't have a flat screen tv, had the filthiest carpet, and all around looked dingy, dirty, and old. The staff wasn't helpful either, they were very stuck up and unapologetic. Definitely would never recommend this place to anyone.

Just robbing people left and right we have 4 kids and we r w nothing on new years day bad place very rude people.

It met our needs of a place to sleep and a pool to swim in. There are some areas that can be cleaned up a bit. Hot tub and pool area, I'll chaulk it up to end of season. Staff were very freindly and from its location is is eay to get around. If you have little kids the beach works out great as there are no real waves. If you have older kids 9 10 or older. This beach will be boring.

Great customer service. However, I expected a lot more for the price. The rooms need to be renovated ASAP. They don't even have flat screen tv. What hotel in 2014 still has the big bulky TV set. Given that this is considered to be a beach resort, I was surprised that the rooms did not even have a kitchenette! Only a mini refrigerator and the first microwave ever created. The room was clean, but it's suppose to be.

Not at all impressed. Very dated and had a musty smell in the room. Couldn't get hot water in the shower. Asked for late check out and inconveniently had to go back to the front desk for a new key when mine would no longer work.

I had a bad experience at this hotel. The actual room was very nice I thought. Everything was clean and I liked how the rooms contained a separate living room and balcony (at least mine did — but I think all do). The problem was the service/employees. After calling the morning we were to check in, we were told we could more than likely check in early. We had a wedding to go to and wanted to make sure we had enough time to get ready. Now, I understand that no hotel can guarantee that you can check in early, however once we got to the hotel about 3 hours before check in time, the front desk employees acted like we had never called. They were very rude and simply said our room wasn't ready and to come back. So we called back in an hour only to have them tell us "the maid is on the 7th floor. " What does that have to do with a room being ready? So we asked if we could check in early in an available room on a lower floor, only to be told " we don't do that. " After being told to call back " in a few minutes, " we did, and our room was still not ready. We were able to check in about ten minutes early. To top everything off, we had reserved the hotel shuttle to take us to the wedding, and the shuttle did not show up, leaving my friends and I left to rush and drive ourselves at the last minute. When we confronted the front desk workers about the shuttle they did not seem to care and did not try to call the driver etc.

Well, to say that Virginia Beach Resort Hotel is very family friendly is an understatement. Their suites are very spacious — I've paid more for a single room in any city — there are 2 room, plenty for any any kind of stay, nice comfy beds, a Great view from any room, and I understand there is a balcony in every single suite. Well, you pay for internet, but in this day and age we all have smart phones so it is not that big of an issue, and when I felt lazy and had nothing to do because it was a rainy day, I just took my laptop to the lobby where internet is complimentary and browsed away at my heart's pleasure. Hanging around I had a chance to see everybody at work and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about everyone I saw, front desk people, maintenance people hustling around, housekeeping crew keeping the place spotless and a bristling sales office that can set up anything your heart wants in a ginormous meeting space. At any point of my stay (4 nights altogether), if I picked up the house phone, I was answered promptly; all my requests were honored; I was greeted like family every time I met an employee and truth be told, it was the best available service and prompt customer service I have seen in the hospitality business. I travel quite often and Virginia Beach Resort Hotel stands to par with teh best of them. It may not have a Hilton or Marriott name attached to it, it but it sure comes damn close. My recommendation comes with 5 stars attached to it.
