Reviews of Hilton Vacation Club Oceanaire Virginia Beach 3*
Worst customer service ever! They totally ruined a gift of a weekend honeymoon to a navy guy!
Beautiful well cleaned and sanitized I have a very large family we normally have 8 suites and this is my family 2nd year staying and this resort truly Accommodate our large size family here and we love it super friendly staff well maintained this is now one of our go to spots for friendly family fun thanks Carr,, Hardy,, Hames,, Blackmon,, Family.
Other than the Bar being closed… which was no biggie? Everything was great.
It was more than I expected. Simply Beautiful. Atmosphere was astonish beautiful clean elegant. The room was gorgeous.
Nice staff and so clean. Was this clean 2 years ago too, so they are consistent.
Had a awesome time! Great staff, that's always eager to help!
Dirty. Dirty. No daily housekeeping service. Worn and porky maintained.
The services is suck. The view of my oceanfront suite is super nice but the check in and everything is just so slow. House keeping keeps coming in the room even thou we had the sign at the door for privacy.
Every time I go to VA Beach I stay here. I always have a great experience. Only thing I have to complain about is when I checked into my suite and went into the bathroom the tub was dirty. I let front desk know and they took care of it right away. Other than that the resort is beautiful and the rooms have everything you need in it. I always love my ocean view suite.
Great location clean rooms and a great staff my kids love it here.
The room was great — minimal deferred maintenance. The outside patio facing the ocean is the best! Lots of traffic / consistent with a property in such a busy location. Although I would not categorize this as a resort (I didn’t see resort type amenities), I would stay again at this nice hotel.
Beautiful surroundings beautiful rooms very comfortable beds and I love the bed pillows.
Stayed a few times and LOVE IT! No complaints WHATSOEVER! Bring your family and friends worth the cost and close to everything you could possibly need/want! Great service from valet to room service and everything in between. Clean, spacious and well taken care of! Highly recommend!
Great experience, great hospitality.
I booked a oceanfront room, but what I got was a room I had to stand on the balcony and look sideways to see the beach. Very deceiving. Small beds with small blankets. No continental breakfast. Staff was rude to us more than once. We spend at least 3 months out of the year in hotels. This was one of the more expensive ones and one of the worst experiences. I should have went to motel 6, at least they leave the light on for you.
Great resort but better like lukewarm baths/showers!
I just love the wonderful views of the ocean! The staff is also very friendly!
We had a great time. They have excellent valet service those boys were helpful in letting us know where things were what restaurants were nice came whenever we needed them went and retrieved my glasses from my car.
Great location, lost of amenities excellent service!
Oceanaire Resort is a great place to stay when you visit Virginia Beach. Staff is awesome. Suites are modern and tastefully decorated… and it's a great space to relax in on an occasional rainy day at the beach. Resort is on the beach. I can't wait until next summer!
I love this place! The customer service is great.
A beautiful resort, friendly, helpful staff, wonderful indoor pool and large hot tub,
Delightful sundeck, beautiful views!
Very nice clean place to stay our family stayed for the week really enjoyed ourselves but couldn’t get the front desk to bring us any towels trash bags or anything in a decent amount of time took 2days and 15 phone calls to get towels. We also arrived at noon on Sunday knowing check in was at 4 we came in and checked in with them our room wasn’t ready yet so we patently waited till 5 with 4 cranky kids that just drove 5 hour and they told us our room still wasn’t done so check in is 4 didn’t get in our room till 6 and our family wasn’t the only ones that couldn’t get in to there till after 5
My vacation was amazing! My room had a great view of the beach and my family enjoyed it. Great atmosphere.
First and last time I will visit. There for two nights. No hot water in the shower either day, front desk didn’t know how to respond. Parking is ridiculous (valet staff is great), drinks were not good, too expensive for the type of resort. Very disappointed.
The beds! Horrible. Horrible. We own a deeded week here. Bought when Goldkey owned the resort, we LOVED it then.
It’s in dire need of a refresh. Dingy. Our shower curtain full of pink mold.
Pool is way too small for the occupancy.
Coffee in the mornings? Heck I get that in podunk USA when I travel for work!
Concierge likes to harass you, nope nope and nope. We aren’t buying points. …
The best part? Valet! These guys are the best of the best. They treat us wonderfully every time. They are the STARS of Oceanaire.
I’m tired of coming home from a stay with my body jacked up from the beds! Call the Westin and get some mattresses please! I paid way too much for my week to hurt like this.
I actually cried this morning when I woke up my body hurt so bad!
Great time, the suite was perfect, overlooking the beach.
Terrible beds. Stiff as a board. When you move the actual mattress creaks, it’s not even the bed frame. Told front desk and they offered to put a board under it!?!? Had been there a couple nights and called to ask to have the room cleaned, trash taken, and beds changed. I was advised it would be $30 charge for that but there’s a trash chute on my floor and they could bring sheets for us to make the beds. I was absolutely appalled. Left for a few hours and came back to find a… new set of sheets folded on the bed for us to do ourselves. No breakfast offered. Best part about the stay? The vallet guys. They were very attentive and quick and when we asked for ideas on restaurants they gave great suggestions!
Just blessed for fun stay with our family & even as our friends visit with us! Fun times in the many types of resort swimming pools, & whirlpools & all the amenities, + awesome ocean views & experiences… As for guest relations — I suggest it could be better by providing an extended time for kids to swim with adults — specially if you have adults present with kids who could enjoy a late night swim in the pool. After-all they are with the parents & adults… It could be a n…ice courtesy & a gracious stay… (Had it not been interrupted — just becoz we had kidz swimming with us at the pool & the kidz were well behaved). For that I'd rate it a 4, where it could have been a 5. But it could be better on matters of customer relations & maybe sending the message up to your management for better ways of blessings your customers rather than making them feel cut out or discriminated (becoz there were kidz swimming with us) … And lastly, how about adding more elevators & bigger drive thru parking lots? … But — thanks for all. We did have fun after all. Would love to come back & have the same 2 adjoining corner master suites — together with common living rooms & kitchens — ocean front views! Thanks for all — been blessed overall.
Rooms are extremely nice. Comes with every needed appliance: full kitchen, free laundry, jacuzzi bath tub, nice televisions and free internet service. Outside the rooms, the resort has several beautiful pools, a hot tub, a restaurant, and a bar. For kids, there is a game room with plenty of board games and video games. Overall very clean and furnished well. Been vacationing in Virginia Beach for over a decade and definitely plan on continuing to stay at the Oceanaire. Located very close to convenience stores, plenty of restaurants, pretty much anything you'd need. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Can't complain about anything.
I had my guard up when staying Friday to Sunday with my 4 year old daughter. Every staff interaction was positive and friendly, valet was on point. I enjoyed not having daily maid service and understand the lack of waste by doing on demand housekeeping not daily. The cost is high but I felt the value was there, poolside service was impeccable and she was super busy, no rookie can hang serving pool families. We are coming back to ocean club next weekend and changed a reservation from another place to get hopefully a repeat experience.
From the time we arrived to time we left, out was as though they were ready for our needs to be taken care of. From the check in manager to the valets to the bell hops. We had a minor issue with the kitchen sink at around 10:30 pm. The maintenance arrived within 15 minutes and had the complete issue resolved within 45 min. We stayed in a two bedroom ocean view suite. Which we really enjoyed. One balcony was on the corner where we could see what was going on down on the strip and the other balcony was more of ocean view. It was really nice.
It’s pretty disappointing that after 17 years as owners in VA Beach, (now platinum owners), we can’t get our two, 2 bedroom rooms on the same floor. We make the request months ahead of time. Currently we can’t even get a manager to return a phone call. We have 5 kids under 9, the youngest are 11 month twins. We would like to be able to go back and forth between rooms without having to wait forever for the elevator while lugging kids. This is the 4th year we have had issues in VA Beach. We have been to a Diamond Resort in Williamsburg, Gatlinburg and Sapphire and have never had ANY issues. What’s up with the quality of customer service with Diamond? It’s awful. Definitely not 5 star platinum service.
Wonderful hotel! The pools and hot tub are stylish, new, and amazing! It also has very nice and easy access to the beach from the lobby. Our room had a small half kitchen with microwave and all kitchenware, and even a bottle opener for wine! The bathtub in the room is very deep and clean. Perfect for a relaxing bath! One very small donwside is that all rooms (apparently except for the penthouse suites) have two full/queen beds, so if you were looking for a king bed then you are out of luck.
Wonderful location. It's located on a strip of hotels and restaurants, you couldn't possibly get tired during your stay. The jacuzzi is 21+ and the kiddie pool is located outside, which is super convenient. They also show movies outside sometimes for the kids! The rooms were clean and smelled great. Definitely beautiful and worth the money to upgrade, even. Service was nice! Valet might be limited sometimes, so you really need to call ahead, even if they tell you not to.
Beautiful hotel with a beautiful view of the beach, great staff, nice hotel rooms with top notch kitchens and bathrooms. The indoor, and outdoor pools were nice. I loved the kiddie pool which was great for my 2 year old. Too many nice amenities to name, I definitely will be staying here in my future trips to VA Beach.
Wonderful staff and the rooms are very nice. The beds are comfortable and the Wi-Fi is adequate. We had a room with a full size refrigerator and dish washer. There is enough cookware to get by for a week without making anything too extravagant. Outside the pools are clean and cozy, the beach has immediate access, and the restaurant serves decent snacks and drinks. It's a little pricey but not too bad. Overall a nice resort and we will be coming back. Very enjoyable experience.
What an amazing place! Plenty of things to do without even leaving the hotel. Pool, adult pool, hot tub, gym, great food and drinks! The ocean front view is definitely worth the price.
Clean room with beautiful views of the beach. The door to the balcony was incredibly difficult to open though, and seemed like there was something sticking to it that prevented it from opening fully. We checked to see if there was a door stopper, but nope, it was just difficult to open. The pool areas of the Oceanaire and the Ocean Club next door were beautiful and well-maintained also. One thing that surprised me was that if you stay less than 1 week house keeping does not clean the room, and when we asked for new towels house keeping just left all the used ones in the room. We still had a nice stay, but that was a little odd to me.
Really nice place. Spacious suites, clean. Would recommend to friends and family for a relaxing getaway right on the beach. Great customer service. Parking can be a pain. Self parking $10/day, down the block. Valet is $16 per day, with a 10 minute wait.
Enjoying our owner week for the first time, Very Happy! They keep this place very clean and well maintained outdoor and indoor. I've been to so many hotels never seen like this one. Love the kitchen. Love the facilities. The staff are very nice and helpful. Definitely will come back every year ❤
Enjoying our owners yearly visit each time we come. Although it was a little colder this year. The above deck has a beautiful view and it's nice to sit out on our balcony and look at the water, the morning sunrise and the evening sunset. Oh did I mention the water view is lovely.
Very nice hotel, but there was no cleaning service within our three day stay. We had to go to the reception desk for cosmetic and coffee refill and it was not convenient. For the money we paid, it would be nice if they at least had free coffee and tea in the lobby.
Very cozy stay. Nice and clean. The staff was very generous along with housekeeping. Alot of amenities included. Would come and stay again.
Single bedroom with Oceanfront balcony. The room is much larger than I expected as it has a full living room, dining area, kitchen, large bathroom, and totally separate bedroom. Beautiful views of the ocean and very accommodating staff. They got me hooked up with some of the nicest places out here to eat and made sure that every single one of my needs were met. Will definitely be coming back in the future!
Great place to relax with lots of things to do inside and out. Indoor pool and hot tub is awesome, and it's right on the boardwalk for a view of the ocean. Outdoor seating to sunbathe or just relaxed around the fire pit.
Most of the staff were nice. My room was clean, but small. I went to the resort to study for a test and the night before (Thursday night) someone had a party in their room right next to mine. I was not happy at all and it took the staff a while to fix the problem. They did comp my valley parking for the week for the inconvenience.
Had a nice oceanview room. Room was big spacious and clean. The staff are so nice friendly and helpful. Decided to stay and extra night they manage to give me a good deal for a good price. Valet is perfect. I love rhis hotel and really enjoyed my stay and whenever I come back to will come to this hotel.
Very disappointing for the cost. There are hidden resort and parking fees in addition to the room cost we were not anticipating. Dirty socks in the room when we arrived. In addition, my family accidentally left an iPhone in the room and returned a couple hours later to find a very unhelpful staff. I could tell the phone was still on the premises with the Find My Phone app but no one was able to help us. I locked the phone remotely and added my number to the screen with reward promised for safe return. The phone travelled from Va beach to Williamsburg where I was contacted by a super shady character hoping to get the reward.
Amazing hotel with beautiful views from the upscale rooms. The pool and Jacuzzi in the lobby is phenomenal and the bar offers a great place to feel good and meet other guests.
We love the oceanair is a very nice hotel. It's reasonable priced. The lounge has a calm adult environment. The drinks are over priced but very well done. The hotel is excellent. Very well done, beatuiful rooms. Get an ocean front suite. Totally worth it.
Worst place to stay ever. Extra fees for everything. Parking is a block away, they charge extra to clean rooms. Staff is rude and very unprofessional. They will tell you they have a free gift for you but you have to sit through a 2 hour meeting on buying a time share, but they conveniently leave that part out until you go to the other building where they try to sell you. I’ve had a 1000 times better experience at Motel 6. They are seriously over priced. No breakfast and even the vending machines are unbelievably over priced, like $1.75 for a snickers and $2.00 for a soda. We asked for towels 5 times to be brought up and it never happened. Coffee same way. Water doesn’t stay hot for more than 5 minuets and the best part was finding sand all over one of the beds on the first night that we had not used at all. I highly recommend not considering this place to my worst enemy so save yourself the trouble and the bad experience and stay anywhere else. We were told there is a trash shoot on all floors good luck finding one I’ve been looking for one since day one. Please for your sake and the sake of your family don’t stay here. Once again worst place I’ve ever stayed.
Great place to stay. Perfect ocean views, right on the beach. Spacious, well-appointed suites, cozy private balcony. Great location, close to restaurants and shops. Very clean. Comfortable furniture. Couple points of mild disappointment. Shower water pressure is soft; some of the outlets are so loose as to be unusable; only four sets of cutlery/glassware/plates/etc, each turndown service is $30 & parking is $10 a night — both of which seem high, especially given ~$30 per night in "resort fees". These are nitpicks, but that last star is for the details.
The hotel is beautiful! The suite our bridal party was in was beyond amazing. Spectacular room views and amenities of home.
This was the worse experience for check-in ever. I booked in advance for two nights and was promised an oceanfront room. I arrived at 7:12 pm to check into the room. Upon arrival, I was told I had to wait and they will call me. I went into the lobby area and sat down thinking it will be ten minutes. About thirty minutes later, I was called to be informed not only was I going to be charged the initial amount already taken from my account ($244), I was going to have another $169.66 taken from my credit card. Additionally, Oceanside (Victoria and Anna) said they only had a side oceanfront room for me vice what I was promised (looking right at the ocean). I was astonished with all of this and started asking questions about the $169.66. No one behind the front desk nor the manager on duty could answer the charge except this amount will be charged. No one was even sorry about the side room view. Keep in mind I arrived to check-in at 7:12 pm. It is now 9:30 pm and I am still at the front desk and the employee team cannot explain the $169.66 to me. I refused to sign in fearing a scam. Oh, while I am at the lobby desk, I am informed of a third charge I will have to pay called a "resort fee". It is now 10:15 and I just want a refund and leave. I was asked (finally) what do you want? At 10:15, my answer was a room so I could go to sleep. Finally, at 10:30, the $169.66 charge was taken off my bill and the resort fee was waived and I was given a SIDE ocean view room.
Very nice room and accommodations, including full kitchen, shower with beach and separate Jacuzzi tub. Beautiful view of beach and dolphins. Many other amenities in hotel including 4 pools, hot tub, game room, fire pit and much more.
Very rude staff that makes you not feel welcomed. Concierge does not know where things are and doesn't want to be bothered. Additional $60 for "amenities" that should be included. This place is a hybrid between a hotel and resort, doesn't know which one it is. Had to have maintenance twice to room in 3 days. Once the door wouldnt lock. Deserves less than 1 star. Worst staying experience ever. This place is a joke. Dont waste your money. Much nicer, cheaper places to stay at.
We are always confident when we come, that our stay will be pleasant. The staff are friendly and professional, and the rooms are well kept. We have been coming here for many years!
Favorite place to stay when visiting VA beach. The one bedroom oceanfront suite is spacious and equipped with everything for the perfect home away from home. Great views and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
The light in bathroom hanging out of ceiling and problem with main door security lock. Our room on 6th floor/oceanfront in need of upgrades. Owner since 2007 disappointed and pay maintenance fees on time every year. Expect better.
First time visiting this resort. We r Diamond Resort owners so the staff was very nice and did not push us to sit in on an update timesharemeeting. I wasn't please with the room but clang complain because I book the wrong room. We stayed for 7 days and I book a studio instead of a suite. Wasn't to happy with the oceanfront view on the balcony it was more of a side view but still beautiful. If I am an owner why charge $10 per day for parking? (Total $70) to park my own car and valet was 15-16.00. I dot understand the fees if I pay monthly on my timeshare. First time coming when they have the Neptune Festival I must say will be coming more often the festival is so nice.
Studio room is small but comfortable. No stove, only microwave. Staff seem OK, friendly and helpfull. Pools are nice with an adult only version.
The room was very nice. More of a business class room. If all you need is a bed and bathroom I'd go somewhere cheaper. But if you looking to stay for a couple nights it's perfect and the staff was very nice.
We stayed next door at the Ocean Beach Club which is part of the Oceanaire Resort. We visited the pool/spa area at the Oceanaire and it was very relaxing. The hot tub was a perfect temperature, the infinite pool was beautiful and there was a nice view out on to the boardwalk.
Very disappointed! Promised ocean view but got a view of Atlantic Ave. Couch was ifffy with popcorn between cushions and the tub/ jacuzzi was dirty or stained and had. Mold on rim and bottom of shower curtain. And jacuzzi jets. Thanks to the valet and female bellperson, all very nice. Female Concierge working Monday evening not so good, didn't even have copies of menus for local restaurant and sat at desk. Instead of standing when speaking to guest. Sorry,. But tomorrow we are going to the Courtyard Marriott where we usually stay and when we walk in the door we get hugs and smiles from the staff because. They remember us from last summer plus all of the rooms have just been renovated.
The rooms are very spacious and modern. There are only two elevators, so getting to your room and back can take some time. Perfect location right on the beach. Very nice bathrooms. Restaurant doesn't have a lot of selection but the service is good and the drinks are relatively cheap for the area.
The Valet, Concierge and Front Desk clerk were top notch, all true professionals. My quick Advice to potential visitors — read & heed all the LOW Reviews, They Ain't Lying. The 2 elevators take forever to get to you on the 15th floor. This so called 2 Bedroom suite, sleeps 8, Ocean View was a 18, 000 point swap or $7800 for the week — I've been to many Diamond properties all over the world and this doesn't even come close. One reviewer said Bait and Switch — I couldn't have said it better myself. Was considering adding Oceanaire to our timeshare portfolio but after this experience, they can keep this place — just checked in 2 hours ago and can't wait to leave — such a rip off.
The Oceanaire is a high end resort at Virginia Beach, VA. You can either stay the night or become an owner (timeshare) through Diamond Resorts. Personally, I am an owner of a 3 bedroom, 3 bath room, which goes for $1, 750 a night. The place has an excellent, locally known, pool-side bar, multiple pools, including a 21-and-over only pool, right on the coast with amazing views. Fireworks every couple kf nights, and about 15 yards from the best Pancakes and Waffles from the Pocahontas restraunt. Definitely a must stay.
Had drinks at Ultra. Read reviews on Yelp before going, but was not as impressed as I thought I would be. Bartenders were good, attentive & knowledgeable. The value for what we paid was 'Meh' overall.
I have been there for a couple of years, and it is great. The rooms are clean and the staff is nice. I love staying here. I really recommend this hotel.
This resort borders the Ocean Beach Club. The swimming pools are shared between the two resorts. I cannot speak for the rooms. However, the swimming pool was ok. It was enjoyable. However a different pool was at a better temperature.
This hotel was a huge disappointment. It looked great from the pictures and reviews. We upgraded to the ocean view with a queen bed room and we were definitely excited for a nice weekend. Our hearts immediately sank when we found we were facing the street with a full bed. I expect much better from a four star resort. Upon asking about our room, the staff was condescending and not very willing to fix the issue, just to dismiss our issues. They pointed out that since I can see any part of the ocean, it was still an ocean view. I wouldn't have minded if I had known up front and the pictures were accurate on their site. However, since I paid about $100 extra for at least a queen bed and ocean view, I'm strongly disappointed. Lastly, they kept selling and pushing time shares on hotel guests. Very tacky and unwanted. Overall: expensive, small room, tiny bed, terrible view, and bad staff. Not a great combination.
Upon arrival we were told that the hotel was overbooked and while we were given a complementary night at another hotel, the following day, the transition between them was difficult. When we returned to this hotel, we were waiting in the lobby for about 2 hours even though we were told that we should come at any time — the lobby staff were a little unhelpful and evasive, quoting waiting times that were clearly invented. However, upon receipt of our room, it was spotless and stunning. The room was clean and spacious with wonderful facilities. Once settled, we found it to be a quality hotel and had an excellent experience.
We've been timeshare owners and upgraded to Oceanaire a couple years ago. This was our first time staying at this resort and so far only 3 days into our stay we are pretty disappointed. I won't even mention that the accommodations are nothing like the tour they have us because of course we know we were snookered into upgrading based on what we believed then to be showing us. The room is ok but for the price I've stayed at much better resorts that had no issues. Let's start with the "free Wi-Fi" being down since Sunday. Tuesday I call and they tell me it should be working now but after several attempts and even talking to the tech support company I am told that it must be all SIX of my devices and that there is nothing they can do on their end. Not an issues for phones but when you try to run a business and keep kids happy Wi-Fi shouldn't be an issue, nor should a guest have to stay on the phone with tech support for over 30 minutes trying to resolve issues that obviously aren't related to my devices. Moving on to the "oceanview" room that has a small slither of the view in between two buildings… we get here and the pocket bathroom door won't shut all the way, which also means it won't latch. The bedroom door that goes to the other side of bathroom also will not lock due to the handle being broke. We reported these two issues and the maintenance man promptly came to check orbit and told us he would put a work order in and the issue should be resolved that day.
Resort was beautiful. I loved the valet service. They were always smiling and helpful and it made this vacation the best ever. There were some TV issues which were never resolved. We had a number of people come to the room to attempt to fix it, one said he'd be back in 20 minutes and never came back. The views were stunning. We would have liked a vacuum or broom since the dark floor and carpet showed the lint too much. I requested someone to vacuum the floor on Monday morning and no one came on Monday or Tuesday so I bought a broom at the Dollar Tree and swept the lint off the carpet and swept the kitchen. I would go back again for sure.
Staff was friendly but was very disappointed. We complained that our bathroom had hair all over the tub from the previous guest (very gross) and they said they would take care of it immediately, so we went to dinner to give them time. Upon returning tje room was still not cleaned. The next morning we complained again. And again they said they would clean it, we left to go to breakfast and payed out for a bit and 5 hours later, they did nothing about it and the tub was still not cleaned. After paying over $700 for 2 night you expect a clean room, or at least attentive service. Very disappointed…
Facility and beach access were great, but the service was non-existent. They did not come up to clean any of our four rooms either of the two nights we stayed. They did bring new towels after we called about it. Best food was at Pocahontas Pancakes and Bubbas Seafood.
Rooms are very comfortable and have up to date appliances and living needs. Was a little dusty and didn't look as cleaned as I would have thought it should be. No one came to clean the room or deliver fresh towels, garbage bags, toiletry needs, or do normal cleaning hotels are suppose to do. Was not impressed with the hotel service in this aspect. Great view, peace, and vacation spot otherwise. Best on the oceanfront I have stayed in thus far in VA Beach.
The room was nice and clean, and in a great location. However, we were placed in a room that was attached to another room by a door. We ended up being sandwiched between one party that had been divided into two rooms, and constantly heard them going back and forth all night. And because we were attached by a door, not a wall, we could easily hear everything going on in the adjacent room… Including crying, screaming and singing until 3am. This is not necessarily the hotel's fault obviously, but it was frustrating that we could hear it all so clearly. But the most annoying part of the situation has been trying to get a refund. We had to cancel one room, and rebook to another on a different weekend due to a snow storm. Initially, I just waited for the refund. A couple weeks passed, and nothing showed up, so I called and was transferred to the international hotline. They told me I was ineligible for a refund. This was not true, I had canceled according to their policies and had evidence to prove it. I had to file a dispute, and was then told that I indeed should get a refund and it would be issued immediately. More than two weeks have gone by, and I still haven't gotten a refund to my account. We are now well over a month since my cancellation. Pretty disappointed.
Herific stay! Messed up our reservations after confirming twice. Put us in a double instead of a king on our anniversary. EXTREMELY LOUD and the whole 16th floor smelled like weed. Then they had the nerve to try and sell us a timeshare here! Yeah right please don't waste your money.
I loved it very clean and the pictures on the site don't do justice! I was in the King suite with full kitchen. My boyfriend and I only stayed a night and we wished we stayed longer to enjoy the amenities! If you're in the va beach area I definitely recommend!
Visiting off season, so I can't say what it's like during peak times. For us, the bed was a bit too firm, the walls are way too thin, but the view is great (even from the cheaper room) and the location is just right. There was a mix up with our first room, and it got fixed right away, but we weren't offered more than a half hearted "sorry about that, new girl in training. " Still, I think we'd probably try this place again.
The facilities are very nice, and the view is fantastic. My only complaint is that there is no parking garage, so parking costs an additional $10 a night. ($30 for valet parking)
Wow the rooms here are so luxurious and so modern. I mean the the mirror in the bathroom has a TV in it of course this is the suit room. Can't say enough about this place. The service was impeccable I felt rich.
Okay where to start. Booked oceanside suite they overbooked the room so I get a view of the Sheraton pool. Zombie front desk girl. Queen size bed in a decent size room which should have had a king size bed. Hair in the towels. Carpet in the room was rolled so it's a trip hazard. Tear in bed bottom sheet. If you think this is a 4 star hotel no way. Go stay at Boston Harbor of Four Seasons Orlando.
Loved Oceanaire. Everybody was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless and the view gorgeous. We already booked a vacation in the spring.
For a hotel room, ridiculous amount of amenities. Even the bathtub had jet streams in it to opt in for a Jacuzzi experience.
Rooms, pool, beach, drinks, happy hour moorings and afternoon drinks $$. Need not ask for a better shot of the ocean. The kids and wife are happy, so am I. Great vacation spot…
Best hotel on VA beach. Clean, modern and very cool. Staff is fantastic! Substantially better than other similarly priced hotels in the area! Well done Oceanaire! We will be back.
Had a great time here. Staff were friendly. Rooms clean, spacious and very nice looking with everything you need. The pools were fantastic! The landscaping gorgeous. Near the less crowded part of the beach with the convenience of everything you need still nearby. Only downside is parking a block away in the garage (dropped off the fam to park so missed the going into the room together part, recommend valet for that) and no food served after 10 at the pool bar, but pizza place across the street was great and open! Be sure to check out the views from the sundeck! Closes at 7pm tho. Will def be back.
This is a perfect resort for couples and families got it February 19-22 of 2015 and it was beautiful and clean everything was new our view was perfect the staff was wonderful my wife and I love it. Just a perfect gateway.
Everything was fantastic there! Ican't tell you one thing that was bad. My veiw wasn't the best including, sky fitness, and people sweating their heads off. Tortugas' smoothies are marvelous! My faveorite restraunt we went to was Catch 31. Delicous food! Neptune is a sight! ALL BRONZE. I will (I repeat) I WILL come back.
First and foremost is the size of the deluxe room. It is about the size of my master bathroom in my home, and it looks like a hallway cut out just enough for 2 small beds to fit in. Two adults need both beds because you cannot sleep in one together comfortably. I would recommend a king size bed for a couple with no kids just so that you might be able to open the closet doors! The adult's pool/hot tub was small if not smaller than the children's pools, with the added bonus of yelling and screaming while you're trying to relax. If you have small children than this is probably the place for you, but if you are single/older couple I would recommend you stick to the Caribbean Islands.

No emotions. Just facts. The only reason it gets one star is because you have to, to be able to write a review. While the hotel was on the beach, that is about the only positive quality it had. — Elevators intermittently would just be “out”, with no notice to guests. No postings on elevators. I climbed more stairs that I ever care to being on the 14th floor. Not to mention wasting my precious tiny little bit of time I had for a weekend get away.
-The view: while I understand “ocean view” is different than “ocean front”, almost falling off of the balcony to see the ocean should NOT be advertised as or charged as “ocean view”.
-Check in was a pain in the ass. Total chaos with parking and getting checked in. And this is in FEBRUARY. Also, be aware-they are a resort company. Once again, wasting my time trying to schedule a “time share” push. Avoid the concierge, like you’ve been trying to avoid COVID-if you’re not in the market.
-Parking-speaking of, is off site about 2 blocks away.
-Hot tub. While I understand they have no control over governor orders, again, they have control in advertising. The only reason we picked this place was because they advertised hot tub. Being out of state, we of course were unaware of the governor order.
