Stayed here for a couple nights but there are a couple reasons on how this hotel can improve 1. If you want housekeeping you have to pay extra. I havent stayed at a hotel where you have to pay extra for house keeping. Even motel 6 has housekeeping. 2. Their "complimentary breakfast" isn't even breakfast. It's just muffins, granola bars and coffee. 3. Our AC wasn't working the last night so when asked if we could switch rooms they replied with no they are full. I then checked online & saw that indeed they were not full. Overall the customer service of this hotel is not great I would recommend staying else where.

This hotel was a huge disappointment! It is such false advertisement on these websites to rate this hotel a 7.1. The lights in the room didn’t work. Tv had no signal, when we tried to call front desk the phone didn’t work. There was no shampoo or conditioner in bathroom. It was a musty humid feeling in our room all night. The halls smelled horrible. The cleaning staff left bags of trash in the hall way by the elevator all day and throughout the night. No ice machine. No pool. Vending machines are over priced. They advertised a free breakfast to us when we checked in, went to get breakfast before we left and there was none. A part of why we booked here was for the breakfast in the morning. Used the bathroom by the lobby and piss all over the floor. We booked this room trying to get away for one night and thought this room/hotel was going to be nice and it was definitely not. Anyone looking into this hotel you’re better off staying somewhere else. We paid a good amount just to stay in a really gross hotel. I will never stay in a stay America again. Not even for one night. They really need to keep up with this hotel. You’re better off booking a motel 6 for those are 100 times nicer and where we should have stayed.

Arrived fairly late due to traffic and the weather. Upon arrival, the staff was in a frenzy because (as was explained to me) all rooms had been booked and there hadn't been more than one housekeeper in that day so any empty rooms were unavailable. After driving almost 8 hours on a typical 3 hour drive, I was stuck hours away from home with nowhere to go as all hotels in the area were also sold out. So why the 5 star review? Just an eye catcher — horrible experience.

Our original room was on the 1st floor. The smoke detector was hanging by the wires. When we informed the front desk, we were told that, if the light was on, it was working. Somebody probably tried to take it down to smoke. Our 2nd night there, we returned from an area hospital and the kitchen area was covered with ants. We were moved to a room on the 3rd floor. There was black mold in the shower. Only 1 of the lamps worked and some of the electrical outlets did not work. The hair dryer did not work, either. The staff were friendly.

What should be a decent hotel in the Houston Galleria area could best be described as a hole. Room smelled like burnt cheese, trash in the hallways, carpets need replacing, walls. Need repairing and painting, and towels and sheets were thin, but clean. The redeeming factor of this hotel was its location, close to restaurants, business, and shopping.

This hotel was great! the rooms are basically studio apartments which makes it great to have your own kitchen and mini living room. The staff is super friendly! especially the guy who did the check in for us tall skinny guy I don't remember his name unfortunately. And also another guy called Kiee I believe, he was so helpful!

I found a hypodermic needle under the microwave. I quietly gave it to the manager, out of respect but she was not appreciative. While I was trying to conduct my business the maintenance man was in there five times to fix a broken smoke alarm. The Wi-Fi was completely unreliable as well. These are not idle complaints this really did happen. A very unfortunate experience. Jessica however was absolutely fabulous, a very nice young lady. I would stay clear of this place it was an absolute disaster. The ambulance was there twice in the parking lot for people who I believe had some health problems perhaps related to substance abuse.

I went to Houston on a family trip and stayed here for two nights (Fri-Sat). The check in process was quick and the lady lady at the front desk was nice enough, she could have been a little more welcoming. I went to my room and tried opening the door with the cards issued. One of the cards did not work and I had to swipe the other a few times before it finally worked. Here are the things Iikes and disliked. Pros — The rooms are spacious enough for a family of 4 or 5. I liked that there was a full kitchen as well which is good if you have kids that want to eat every hour. Hotel is in a nicer part of town. Galaria area. Close to lots of restaurants and the Mall. Cons — The rooms a pretty outdated. Could use new bed linens and new carpet. One of the phones in the room did not work. Bathroom door did not lock. Some guests are way to noisy. They only have muffins, coffee and snack bars for breakfast. No daily housekeeping. They only have housekeeping on a weekly basis. Or if you're checking out.

Good value for the location. However, 2 of the 4 days we were there coffee and grab and go breakfast was not put out. When we asked the front desk didn't have a response. No safes in rooms and no full length mirror. Seemed clean. Older place with obvious wall patches and other small cosmetic issues but we didn't care about that. Kind of a pain to get an extra hans towel and dishes. Also biggest problem was the traffic if you are renting car or driving yourself the location not so good for drivers. However, if you want to walk to mall it is an excellent location.

Booked the room from the website and there are lots of options and I used the initial profile creation coupon of 20 percent. Ample parking spaces. The room was spacious. There were a small kitchen which might come handy but didn't use it. Breakfast was in the go and I was little disappointed by the choice… frankly speaking there was no choice at all… : — (

The place was very good but some of the ospedandose people did not look very good.

Easy going… Don't care to much for the lack of dishes and silverware… You have to ask for everything. Would like that walking into home feeling.

Nice hotel. Great location with roomy apartments. Hotel requires more cameras to deter mischievous guests and make customers feel safer lodging at the facility.

Date of stay: January 15th 2018 Completely unacceptable; both the cleanliness of the hotel, and service (if you can call it that) from the clerk at the front desk. She was much more interested in getting back to hanging out with the security guard — that obviously was not doing his job of keeping the site secure — than tending to the needs of a guest. Very disappointed, and will not be returning to this location.

Was not what I thought it would be in the downtown area of Houston. We were there New Year's eve and day. Had to bring the garbage to a room at the end of the floor. Watch I thought that house keeping should have done. The room was full of garbage and the hole hallway smelled. I asked for a shower chair for my mother's room and they gave me a folding lawn chair. The concier explained that the all of the shower chairs were stolen and they did not have money to buy more this year. Handicap room my mother was in was very small. Just enough room for her to move her walker around and nothing else.

Great clean Affordable place to stay near the Galleria… Easy access to everything. Great friendly staff. The breakfast is just like granola bars and muffins so don't get excited about a great hot breakfast!

Good location, the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, there are cigar smells and food down the hallways.

Reception was fantastic, super friendly & welcoming, I love that. Great location right in uptown. I loved all the pretty trees in the parking lot. The only thing is the interior of my room was dated, but it was a price that I needed and a location that I needed, bed was comfortable, no issues with anyone being loud, and I got a good night sleep!

EXTENDED STAY AMERICA hotel chain is a great one overall. Regardless of price, which is set by season and / location, the acceptance quality of this hotel chain is typically high. This one is not. I have never seen so much trash and clothes on the floor of a public laundry in my life. Just plum nasty.

Kinda pricey for one night but then again its downtown houston. But what really got me was the price of the room was never even addressed. It was more like ok we have a room available with a queen bed. That will work for you? Ok well just insert your card here and your room is that way kinda thing. Oh nevermind I already mentioned the breakfast didnt i? Umm no you didnt actually you didnt even tell me what I was about to be charged for this room either maam. But 116 for a night with a small bed and little room is kinda over the top but is what it is we have to go to consulant tomorrow and its close to it so. Here we are. Id look around more if we had the time.

I was in this place because I had no other option and I do not recommend it at all, the place is dirty and the so-called breakfast, lousy.

Fitted sheet had stains on it and the blanket was covered with hair. The TV remote had what appeared to be pizza sauce on the buttons. There weren't any face towels provided as well. Couldn't have the deficiencies corrected because there wasn't anyone at the desk and the phone did not work. No dial tone. The guy at the front desk was super cool. The price was great especially for the location. I believe a rush job was done on our room. One star because we were grossed out about the hair and stains.

For the price, the rooms were nice. Only things is that I could not find the trash can, which there was only one and it was under the sink in the rest room. Staff was friendly and nice.

Good place for the price. Rooms are you typical size, but they do offer a stove and full sized refrigerator. Location makes it a great bargain. A+

Overall for the price the stay was good. The bathrooms are a little crowded if your going down there for the hospitals. I had to go buy a shower chair so my mom could take a shower. Good location though if you don't mind the traffic.

Staff is friendly and helpful, atmosphere feels safe. Large rooms, comfortable bed and carpet is clean enough you don't get black feet walking from shower to dressing room. The big pro/con is the location… great location convenient to highways 59 & 610… but that also means traffic is hectic… but then again, welome to Houston!

This place was okay for their price. There could have been some extra cleaning done. Bathroom needed some touch up.

Stayed overnight around the Thanksgiving holiday, hotel was 75% empty. Our nieces wanted to stay overnight so they upgraded us to a larger room for free. Much appreciated, and we will definitely be back as we travel to Houston often.

Fair hotel with a reasonable price. Has all the necessities for a great nights rest. Nothing fancy. Will admit the beds are extremely comfortable. Would definitely recommend for a budget stay in the galleria area.

Out of all of my experiences in hotels from all around the world this has been one of the worst experience of my life! I'VE BEEN TO MANY Extended Stay Hotels and by far this was the worst! I have never seen a hotel that was so stingy such as this one. They don't change your towels or even give you soap or hair cleaning products. You have to go downstairs and exchange your towels yourself. Also, ask for whatever you need. If not, they will charge you for cleaning your room. I found that very unprofessional, disgusting to save every penny and insulting. The cleaning lady came to my room she was extremely rude with some attitude like she didn't want to work. She had told me that I had to leave the room in order for her to clean the room. I found that very odd so I got uncomfortable. Thinking why did I have to leave the room when every hotel I've been in didn't mind if I was in the room or not. The Only 2 people that were professional were a lovely worker named Annabel and Alex. This hotel better be happy that they have 2 great workers such as these. On the other note, that hotel was a very big disappointment!

Absolutely Disgusting! I am not usually picky but we are here for 4 nights while are place is getting renovated. Old, dated, and dirty!

So. I am going to be as honest as possible regarding this hotel. I recently stayed here for 3 nights. I am not going to fire my assistant because she didn't know this was such as low class hotel. So its not her fault… This hotel is located in the heart of the Galleria in Houston, and as you know most hotels in ANY Galleria area of ANY city is usually nice 4 and 5 star hotels. This one is in the WRONG area!. First I must say the Staff is amazing very friendly so I have no problems with them. What I DO have a problem with is WHAT kind of hotel Doesn't have daily maid service? IF you want clean sheets or towels you have to go to the front desk to get them. OR if you want a cup or plate you have to do to the front desk. 2nd. Hotels main thing should be the BED! OMG This bed was like sleeping on the floor it was HARD AS A ROCK and Cheap Thin Blankets. The crazy thing is. The restrooms are updated, There is a Nice flat screen LG TV in the room. Nice pictures on the walls. Etc it seems they updated everything except for the most important thing THE BED! … I awoke to a very soar back and I couldn't sleep because I kept tossing and turning due to the uncomfortable bed. Corporate really needs to do a FULL Upgrade on this hotel. As a business professional I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. So IF you are a traveling business person stay FAR! away from this hotel. ATTENTION CORPORATE You need to upgrade it so it FITS with the rest of the hotels in the Galleria area!

The beds are hard. I feel like I am laying down on top of a rock or floor. Worst is I have to be here for a week (can't move! My company paid for this cheap hotel).

I like the hotel so much and staff was wonderful.

My boyfriend stayed there for three weeks and it was horrible. The internet was so bad we couldn't ever connect to Skype. He couldn't even load pictures. The breakfast was also horrendous. The apples tasted like wax. There weren't even always towels available.

Cheap room kinda outdated but ok for the price.

This hotel SUCKSBALLS! They do not provide maid service or fresh towels. You have to ask the front desks. They do not inform you of the charge for Internet access. We shared a room with ants in the kitchenette and bathroom. I had a horrible experience.

Really great price in a really great location. It's not very nice but I got it for $40 a night on Priceline. Which is a really great deal for this part of town. This is the best part of town.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and every experience has been horrible. The AC is often broken, the front desk staff are incredibly unhelpful and have little knowledge of how to fix anything, with little desire to find someone else to fix it. I have never met so many rude employees in my entire life and I travel often for business. The rooms themselves are moderately clean but the service was terrible.
