This is a very nice place to stay. The room was very clean and the bathroom spotless! The staff was friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The Fairfield Inn had a great free breakfast as well. I highly recommend.

My husband and I just recently spent the night here after going to a concert at Saranac Brewery. The hotel is well maintained and clean. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice, clean and quiet. I would definitely recommend.

New hotel, new modern design. Super nice rooms and friendly staff. Casual restaurant across the street, and higher end restaurant within walking distance down the street.

Pretty new hotel. Clean rooms. Nice staff. Typical free breakfast you find in most Fairfield Inns and similar hotels. Wasn't too crowded during the week, but busier on the weekend. There are some options for food within walking distance, if you don't feel like driving. The one thing I would have to complain about is the thin wall construction I had a person in the room next to me that I could hear talking and snoring.

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Utica, New York, is a really nice hotel. From the moment I walked in the door into the lobby, I was impressed with the cleanliness and decor of the common areas. The complimentary breakfast is very good and has adequate choices. The staff is friendly without being overbearing.

Stay in Marriott often as I can and this fairfield is meeting the standards of the chain. Staff are friendly and there are a couple of nearby places to eat as well. Clean and relatively quiet for a budget hotel. Will stay again and recommend if in the area.

Good, clean Marriott hotel. I have stayed at many other hotels and am loyal to Marriott. Always know what I am going to get. So consistently good. Decent breakfast included. I stay here for business routinely.

Standard hotel with nothing particularly special to offer. Has pool and workout facilities but both are small. Location is relatively convenient to restaurants and to Utica (walking distance)

The building seemed fairly me and has good amenities. The rooms were in nice condition and have a new feel to them as well.

Really nice rooms. Lots of amenities like free Wi-Fi, pool, gym, citrus water, warm cookies, coffee, tea, and more. I'd stay here again for sure.

This hotel was very clean and the suite we had was modern and convenient. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Breakfast was included and there was a great variety to choose from. They also provide home baked cookies and lime infused water 24/7, which was awesome if you needed a snack at any time day or night. We would stay here again and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and affordable choice.

This place is located a very short distance from exit 31 of NYS Thruway. The outside looks nice and upkept with clear signage. I di not step inside, so that is all I can report.

We went in 2016 and I was surprised at how friendly everyone was. Every single staff member was pleasant and said hello. My kids couldn't walk past a staff member without a friendly comment. We are here in 2017 and its the same deal. We were outside with the kids. They were eating breakfast. A staff member came outside to us and gave us crayons and coloring papers. We didn't ask for it. She just came outside and gave them to the kids. We were at the pool and a staff member came in, went to a closet, and gave us a bucket of pool toys. Again, no one asked. He just did it. It's great.

On my visit, it was fun they have a self serve breakfast and make ur own waffles and my room was small and compact. It's cute. The beds are always really fluffy. And the people are really nice. The only thing is the elevator buttons are really hard to press sometimes so trying to press ur floor is a struggle and adventure u could look forward to after going to the pool. The pool is like nicest pool I've ever been to cuz pools are usually cold but their pool is like cool. IDK how to explain it it's warmish but cool enough to be not to cold. The pool is perfect.

Eh. Rooms were clean, kinda small, but comfortable. My issues were with how it was run. We arrived just after the 3pm check in time because we wanted to get ready for my 5pm rehearsal dinner 30 minutes away. I was told it would just be a quick minute while they made sure there was a room clean. We waited almost an hour for a room to be available for us. The lady who finally got us in a room promised to leave a goody bag in the room for our troubles, but we never got it, maybe she just forgot what room we were in since 20 minutes later she walked in on us rushing to get ready. If you just need an expensive place to sleep this hotel will work for you! There's plenty of better options in the area, though.

(6-25-26-17) I needed a good place to stay because my daughter was in hospital an im from out of town. Was told sunday nite would be $134. (Which is a rip off from the get go) then in the same breath the lady tells me that monday nite would be $164. I almost vomitted right there. All I wanted was a safe place to stay. I was better off staying in my pickup or a cheaper motel. Would not have been ripped off so much. So now on monday I ask manager WHY its higher on week days. His response (damn near word for word) was "we lower the price on sundays to lure in the business people then raise the rates while there here! " Im like WHAT? He said "we chance the rates when we feel we need to. Again I said WHAT! An he added business is business. You slime ball. NEVER EVER would I tell anyone to stay here. So what you have nice rooms an a breakfast bar. This place is a RIP-OFF!

My husband and I stayed here for two long weekends in a row as we had to be in town for some family events. Overall the hotel was clean, staff were friendly, and the rooms/beds were comfortable. There are train tracks nearby and you need to stay on the opposite side or you will be awakened to whistles and lots of noise. It really makes a difference. Breakfast didn't look that great so we decided to go out each day. If you eat there expect paper plates and utensils. I would stay here again, but need to point out some issues related to housekeeping and security. Weekend we straightened our bed in the morning before we left the room. We're tidy people and can't help it. When we returned to the room around 3pm, no housekeeping service. We called to have them come and we went out again. Later that night when we returned, they had serviced the room but didn't make the bed. They left clean towels but left the dirty ones on the bathroom floor. Weekend same issue with the bed. If you pull the sheets and blankets up, they won't make it. They didn't empty our trashcans either. Obviously they need to step up their game with housekeeping. Now onto security. Twice during our stay on weekend my key didn't work to open the room. Twice I went to the front desk and two different clerks (who I didn't recognize) fixed my key without asking for any identification or anything. Nothing at all! I'm from a big city and this is a huge no no.

Personable service from everyone I encountered. Breakfast is included and free hot chocolate and cookies 24/7!

The place was great, they were able to take us in last minute with no problem, the staff there is super wounderful. Highly recommend staying here if you need a place to go to.

Desk guy was making up rules. Manager took care of it though. Facilities are clean and new. One night stay was comfortable.

The facility itself is very nice. The breakfast had a decent selection. Only downside is it is near an active train line and the trains blow their horns as they go through the area.

The location of the hotel was great. There was lots if great restraints within walking distance. The rooms were clean, and comfortable, and the staff and service was wonderful.

Good, clean room. There's a train close by, which you can hear them blow the whistle. If you are a light sleeper then it might be a problem for you. Also, if you miss housekeeping in the morning they won't come back again later to clean your room, even by request. We tried to request housekeeping come later and that was a fight, which was disappointing as they weren't very accommodating about that. We were there for a wedding and the front desk told us we could have a very late checkout which was nice. The pool is more like a plus-sized hot tub.

The hotel is beautiful and is kept in a very nice condition. Our room was very clean. Our bed was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was one of the better hotel breakfasts I've had.
