Very clean and staffs very nice!

The hotel overbooked — so the king size room I booked was not available. When we went down to the desk and showed them we were supposed to have a king size bed, we were told sorry they were overbooked and we had to keep the room we were assigned. We were then offered the option to check out late the next day — which seemed ok-.
The next day this rude little girl behind the desk told us we needed to check out — because they had a bus come in and they were overbooked again. I told her that wasn’t my problem and returned upstairs to my room.
Later when checking out — I got scolded for not checking out on time. The explained the we were supposed to have a late checkout and why. I was told by staff that a manger would call me to discuss pending charges for staying and that the person who checked us in wasn’t supposed to give a late checkout. This hotel really seems to have a problem with overbooking.
They also have a pool which was unusable. They rent it out for birthday parties — and the tiny pool was filled with 25+ kids and one adult. Kids were running back and forth down the tile floors leaving the hallway slippery. The hotel staff claimed that they don’t rent for pool parties — yet the entire deck was covered in party supplies and around 10pm — we noticed that parents were picking up the same kids that were in the pool. Obviously the staff was either unaware of what was going on under there noses or they lie.

The staff is really nice and the food and drinks are excellent! I especially loved Trivia night at the hotel lounge. The hostess that evening was fantastic! Next time I visit Utica will stay here.

My husband and I got married at the Delta Hotel by Marriott on October 13th, 2018. We were so thrilled with our choice of wedding reception venue. Everything on our wedding day was perfect; the staff at the hotel were with us step by step through the planning process and were able to execute all of our ideas and visions with smiles on their faces the entire time! We loved our reception so much that one my bridesmaids decided to book her reception for the following year at the Delta Hotel as well! We cannot say enough great things about the staff and gorgeous venue at Delta Hotel by Marriott; they helped to make one of the most memorable days in our lives absolutely perfect!

Last year when we stayed there for the Hall of Fame ceremonies, the place needed a rehab. They've done that so now is the time to go while everthing is still in tip-top condition.

For such a popular and well known franchise, it sucks. Very filthy. Rooms were dirty. Reception area is the worse. However, it's very convenient.

Bad experience, there were like 5 things in the hotel room that were broken. The 1st thing was that the room key for my FIRST room was not working. Then after moving rooms at midnight, I found that the br vent was broken the phone dialed 911 when guest services pressed. The housekeeper banged on the door 3 separate times when the do not disturb sign was in the key hole just to ask if we were checking out when the reservation was for 2 nights! & to top it off the people who the complaint was told to didn't do anything about the pricing of the room or anything to make up for the issues. Worst hotel ever.

Parking is an absolute nightmare caw caw. The employees were extremely well dressed however their personality left something to be desired caw caw (not rude just very cold). I cannot begin to tell you how clean the entire hotel was, along with great holiday decorations caw caw. Will adjust review accordingly if parking is revised or the employees develop some type of personality caw caw. I know parking seems like something very minor to focus on but when you have 5 hotels just up the road from you with free parking it can be a deal breaker for some people.

This place seems a little rundown. Service was not good as we did not get any warm welcome from the desk when we spent the night there. We got one of the cheaper room and it was okay at best.

The Radisson undergoes renovations as it transitions into a Marriott City Centre hotel. Standards have stayed high although the hotel has numerous signs of wear. I had a great stay on the fresh, comfortable bed. Plenty of Genesee Street action awaits within walking distance and Varick Street awaits a mere minimum fare Uber ride away.

This hotel should be avoided! We were woken up by construction of the room being renovated above us and also heard noice that sounded like a rodent. To top it off the room was dark and smelled funny. Checked out after one night and moved to another hotel.

This place has been a staple of the community for years. It was always a nice place and still is. Looks looks they are renovating so it should be updated soon.

The Wi-Fi sucks. Weak signal no matter where you are in the room. The phone in the room is gross and does not even work properly. Had to place my order with front desk since phone did not work. Can't leave the window open to get that stale air smell the first night cause there's is NO window screen. The rooms are worn and sad looking. However, they are getting a full reno done. I am looking forward to it, since the service is the only thing that keeps me coming back. This food is great too. Hope they turn this place around.

We attended an event there on a weekend. The hotel was fine for the event but I noticed that it's very dingy and old. The carpets were very stained and dirty. It may be that the rooms and other areas are nicer. I did get a glimpse of the indoor pool which looked very nice.

This place is abysmal. There was a time when the Radisson was the premier hotel in Utica. Those days are LONG gone. When we checked in late at night, we were disappointed to get up to our room to find two double beds when we had booked a king. So we had to go back downstairs to get a new room. They were accommodating but it was a hassle none the less. The whole hotel is dated AF. Our room was warm throughout the night even though I had to thermostat set to 67 degrees. The shower had mold super visible on the caulking. The caulking looks like it has just had layer upon layer put onto it. We had tile grout also with mold on it and there is clear water damage on the bathroom ceiling leading to cracking ceiling paint. Everywhere you looked in the hotel, you saw wear and tear — wrinkled and stretched/stained carpet, dinged and dented walls, water damage, mold, broken elevator buttons, crumbling exterior pavement. Fortunately, they have posters in the lobby saying they will be a newly renovated Marriott in 2018 because it's sorely needed for this hotel to survive against all the newly opened hotels in the area.

Nice place. Friendly staff. Getting to the pool isn't exactly convenient as you have to go to the lower level and then walk back upstairs since they don't want you going through the lobby. Not much right in the area to see or do. Very much a business area.

I was there was a training for my job. The bathroom was broken, dirty, and out of supplies. There were 2 stalls that over flowed so the bathroom so soaked all day because the staff never mopped it even after many of us requested it. There was no soap all day so a couple of us bought some from the near by store. There was old tape on the floor that was there for years. One stall was broken and would not lock. The main bathroom door stuck from being painted too many times so it was hard to open. The garage attendant just yelled at me as he was on his phone and couldn't be bothered to come attend to me as I was leaving the garage.

Quality beds, great service. You pay parking next door. We were charged 7.00 parking. Ask for a breakfast voucher for a delicious breakfast. Luxury touches. This hotel is soon to get a complete renovation based on architectural plans displayed in the lobby.

Went for pollys all nighter. Did not like it at all. Forst the parking garage was disgusting and parking spaces were too small. Then elevator didnt work in the parking garage. The elevator in the hotel smelled like ass. The room didnt have a microwave the bathroom was too small and beds were too small. Was no ice machine on our floor. And the was not a complimentary breakfast. I would never go back.

I had the Sunday Brunch along with a goup of friends this morning. We had excellent service The server took our coffee orders right away, brought us water and mimosas
. We all had different tastes but there was someting for everyone, I was more into Eggs beneidict, etc but most of the group loved the Prime rib! The choco;ate dessert with peanut butter was a big hit as well. Our plates were cleared promptly, beverages refilled routinely withoiut ever having to wait for anything!
Overall a very nice experience, we were" stuffed and satisfied" and we all felt that the staff did an excellent job!

I was impressed bought my mother there for the Sunday brunch we could not believe all the choices of food and everything was very good. The service was very personal over all the I would recommend to go and will be going back myself.

Did not stay here but the customer service and the manager at the hotel has really helped well to cancel my reservation. True feel of customer satisfaction.

We recently needed a last minute breakfast buffet for 30 people with less than 24 hours notice, and the Radisson delivered with excellence. Our private party was seated on the Terrace and was provided with 3 dedicated servers with Sarah leading the group, eager to meet our every need…and there were SEVERAL! With several young children as well as specific dietary and beverage requests, the staff responded with the utmost quality, respect, and courtesy. The food and drinks were amazing and fresh and the price was very reasonable. We’re looking forward to utilizing their dining services again very soon! The experience was truly PHENOMENAL!

There for a conference. Staff was attentive and pleasant. The food was great. They need to fix minor problems in the men's bathroom such as the door latches and the soap dispensers.

Nice facility. Clean and friendly staff. Wasnt a "high end" experience. Just a basic facility with decent service.

Part 1: (Old Radisson)
I have decorated couple events at the Radisson, beautiful venues, excellent food and the staff is awesome, anything I needed, I just had to ask and I would get it instantly.
Part 2: (New Delta)
Awful. Can not describe the bad experience. No communication and when communicating, lots of misunderstanding due to the unwillingness to please clients. Its like they want to scare customers away and not do any businesses with them. Do not recommend this place for future events! The kitchen staff are the only ones that try their best to make it easier on clients.

The hotel charges extra for parking, the hotel bathtub drain backed up and filled the tub with sewer water. Luckily it happened in the morning when we left. The hotel comped with with a free breakfast which was also underwhelming. I wouldn't return.

Staff was great. Set up for the gala was beautiful. If only they could've controlled the temperature better. It became really warm really fast.

Well furnished, relaxing atmosphere. The meeting rooms were professional. The food was so/so. Overall, an enjoyable venue for a meeting.

Attended a pool party at this establishment. It's a great idea for kids. Make sure the lifeguard (one is not guaranteed) isn't texting when he/she is supposed to be watching swimmers.

The room was fine, but the only issue was that the sleep number bed was either broken, or more likely, I was unable to operate it. I had a fine night on the softer side though. Clean rooms, friendly employees, and a fine in house bar.

Although the parking garage is in need of a paint job very bad, the rest of the place is in great shape and well kept, staff is friendly and professional. Food is not bad at all, I'd rate it average for the area. Great place for public events as well as wedding receptions.

Very over rated place, building very old, sheets do not fit mattresses, no refrigerator in room, they charge you for parking, breakfast and the room looks like I am visiting a museum. I just give a start because I can not cut it in half. And they charge for the room as you are in San Francisco or New York.

Carpet was soggy and bed sheets were not crisp.

I love the food at the Radisson! Yum. I was also impressed with the wait staff as well as the chefs and the chefs attendees as well. It is one one of Utica's finest Restaurants as well as a great place to lay your head while coming into Utica from out of town. The staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating to us during our stay! I think it is one of the nicer sections of downtown being within walking distance to some fine bars, Stanley Theatre and assorted places one would like to add to their lists of "Utica's" finest places to attend while staying in the City for a few nights! The Boilermaker always makes Uticans proud as well as this great establishment, which gets booked a year prior to the next years event. Thank you to all who were involved in the creating the Radisson, including the late Mayor Edward A. Hanna, who so loved this City! It's definitely a 5 star Restaurant/hotel to me and my family.

Hot tub was not functioning, air conditioner kept breaking down, customer service was poor… I waited forEVER in line behind a woman just to report that my A/C was down again as I headed out the door. There was a young girl behind me who had clearly had her fill (even though she'd only been waiting a whopping 5 minutes) and began whining moaning and groaning. What does the woman at the desk do? She takes her AHEAD of me. I was frustrated and in a hurry, but did I act out? No, I waited patiently, but apparently poor behavior is rewarded at the Utica Radisson. The man who had to keep coming up to fix my A/C was not even remotely trying to hide his disdain for being inconvenienced. But… the BEST part of my stay?! BED BUGS! I woke up COVERED in bites on my neck and shoulders my first morning back home. And lucky us, a few apparently hitched a ride home with us because we've been battling them ever since! I got an infection in my arm from a bite! I'm beside myself. It's been a month now and not five minutes ago, I found another @#$#% bug crawling in my bed. And we had JUST gone through our latest round of linens washing, bed ironing/steaming, vacuuming, etc in our ongoing war against them. I'm about to torch my entire house! :' (Oh, I had to come back and add this after reading a few of the previous reviews… only the bed bugs could have made me forget about the beds themselves!

Completely under staffed. Had to wait in restaurant for waitress to complete room service delivery. Seriously?! No doubt there are plenty of people in Utica who would take jobs. A clear sign of bad mismanagement. Water in shower was luke warm at best first of 2 days, downright cold the second day, despite complaints to front desk. Hot tub in pool area not working since November — it's May now. Pool was freezing, completely unheated. Room service delivered only 2 of 3 breakfasts, and of the 2, pancakes delivered without syrup or butter so inedible. Room service could not be reached, not picking up phone. Front desk credited breakfast, but could not salvage experience. Many things are nice about hotel (we had a suite which was pretty nicely appointed), but Radisson needs to sack upper management here or just close hotel if they care about their brand. Boo! For the sake of future guests, I hope they are listening, not just by crediting me for the cost of my stay, which they did (thank you), but by bringing this hotel back to what it once was (a very good place to stay) and can be again.

Where oh where do I begin? Let's start with our check in, it took FOREVER! Granted we were there as a group for a confrence but you should know ahead enough to prepare for groups. When we got to our rooms they were less than clean. The glasses were spotty, there was what appeared to be frosting on our wall that had been there for a long time, and not only did we have a stain on our bed but one of the people in our group found recent PUBIC HAIR AND SEMEN STAINS on her bed. EW! The food was less than great, with barely any vegetarian options and what they did have was disgusting. The walls are about as thick as wall paper. Litterally, try pushing them and they bend slightly! There's never anyone around to ask questions and they had absolutely no ink in their printer. This is a business hotel, um, hello? Pretty sure to make the claim of being a business hotel you should be able to complete your business by printing it! Don't even get me started on the toilets! The one in our room made random noise and the public one downstairs near the ballroom only had 2 clean stalls, which ended up becoming 1 because the other broke and kept flushing as I was leaving. Horrible, horrible experience.

Awful soulless hotel in an awful, soulless ghost town. Abysmal front desk made the experience memorable, to say the least.

I was very tentative to stay at this place after reading all of the negative reviews. Utica looks to be a pretty disgusting filthy city, so I wasn't so sure about this place when we rolled up. Although they were very sneaky in their advertising in the room saver magazine, the stay ended up being absolutely fantastic! They actually had a very good fitness room, and the continental breakfast was really really good. The staff that we encountered were all very friendly and I would actually recommend this place if you have the unfortunate circumstance of having to stay in utica. Lol.

Restaurant had decent food, but slow service even for a hotel restaurant. It was 1.5 hours from ordering food to receiving food. The room wasn't perfectly clean, but clean enough. It has definitely been used and shows it. Bed is nice. Pillows are mostly pancake flat, so ask for more. Staff seemed very friendly other than those in the restaurant. Our room was over the banquet hall which worked perfectly for the wedding we attended, but not the next night when there was a reunion.

This place is despicable. I've been traveling for years and years for business and I've never had such a bad experience with a hotel. I had a reservation at this place on a weekend. They were completely inflexible about my stay, "since I booked it through their website". They couldn't provide an adjoining room so my 1.5 year old daughter could go to sleep at a reasonable hour and, when I tried to switch hotels, they charged me for the whole weekend. This was 3 days ahead of time. I'm never staying at this dump again and would recommend anyone else to avoid this place. I would avoid Utica altogether, but if you have to do it.
