We’re very comfortable, service was good, entertainment satisfying.

We wanted to block rooms for our wedding. We called in December and they told us to call back at the 6 month mark. It’s the 6 month mark and now they have no idea what’s going on. We had to call 4 different times to get a straight answer. Now they say they cannot help us. If you are a bride — bring your money else where!

Staff was very helpful. Took beautiful family photos.

Staff is phenomenal. Food is amazing. Definitely one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in.

Hilton hotels is now my second favorite chain.

My room was sparkling clean, the bed so so very comfortable. The pillows are perfect. The area the hotel is in need of work and from the outside this Doubletree doesn't look like anything special, but once you walk inside you can't help but love it. The team there is very friendly and helpful.

This hotel has been one of our favorites yet! Our room, 309 was incredible! Huge room (not a suit), wonderful bed and great shower! No microwave but not a problem.
The bar and restaurant were fabulous. Bartender Taylor, was a doll and the menu and food was outstanding.
This hotel was a random pick for us on our way home from Bar Harbor and a perfect ending to a wonderful trip! Diane and Frank.

Our room was on the 3rd floor. When we arrived from dinner on Saturday there was a wedding reception in the main lobby! It was EXTREMELY loud and could be heard from our room. We had a very early flight and just wanted to sleep but couldn’t due to the loud music. This is NOT a great setup for wedding receptions. First of all, we had to walk through the reception to get to the elevators! Do not stay here on a weekend!

Don't let the outside fool you it is a gorgeous hotel and really nice for the price (however not going to make the a regular thing but it is a nice option if I need it)

Nice and clean and the people that they are very friendly.

There was a problem with my original CC being declined at checkout due to the reserve placed on it when I checked in. The replacement card was charged once when I checked out, but for the wrong amount, so then a subsequent charge was placed to correct the error. But then the original card was also charged.
It took many phone calls to resolve the problem, but finally today I was assured that the credits were issued, and I was sent revised copies of the invoices.
I've always liked this hotel and it's location, but I am reluctant to stay there again.

The room was pretty awesome. The sheets and pillow were more comfortable than most hotels I've stayed at. Love the fact that I could do a digital check in and go right to my room and there was easy and free parking. My only complaint is that breakfast did not start serving until seven and by then I was already on the road. I think a full service hotel ought to start breakfast at 6 AM during the week. On the weekends, I would understand Starting later.

I loved the room. It was soooooo much better of a room than the Turning Stone Casino rooms and almost half the price. The food at the banquet was very good too. All the staff I encountered were nice and polite.

I recently attended a conference at the Hotel Utica, soon to be a Double Tree. It is a beautiful, historic hotel with an open lobby, cast iron staircases, and during my December visit, a Christmas tree that must have been 15 feet tall. There were not enough seats in the meeting room for all of the attendees of my conference, but the hotel staff worked quickly to bring in more seats. Likewise, they were very prompt at refilling the coffee stations throughout the day. While touring the nearby FX Matt Brewing Company, I also learned that the first legal beer served after prohibition was served here. Make some history of your own (with or without beer) at the Hotel Utica.

They let it go. Building is stunning. New owners. Complete renovation under way. I moved out of Utica 15 years ago. But I will continue to stay at the Hotel Utica when I come home to visit.

Not a good experience. The room, while spacious, was dingy and uncomfortable. The bedding had wholes in it, and the pillows were so old and worn out, I wasn't sure if they were pillows or some kind of sad make-shift pillow… How does that happen? Upon waking up, my wife's marino sweater, which she'd left on the floor, had a bunch of wholes eaten through it; likely by carpet beetles. The hotel did not offer a refund. The staff was mostly rude, and unprofessional. Happy Anniversary :/

Great location, cool older building. Pleasant and helpful staff. Clean rooms and fast elevator. The hotel is probably due for an update soon, but for me it is part of the charm.

Only negative comment I agree with is the older and small TV's. Very clean, very nice and polite staff. Lobby is beautiful. Restaurant and bar quite reasonable, not too busy this time of year. Very attentive staff. I would book this on my next trip. Also, room rates are fantastic.
