Nancy and I recently enjoyed a 2 night stay at the picturesque Union Gables Inn. We absolutely loved our time in the historic and unique city of Saratoga Springs, New York. The Union Gables is perfectly located in this great city. There are many sites to see in the surrounding area. The friendly service and amenities were fantastic! Nancy and I loved the heated pool and beautifully landscaped grounds were amazing. We especially enjoyed our dinner while listening to relaxing music, on the beautifully decorated and comfortable porch area. Well Done Union Gables!

I love the charm at this lovely Victorian mansion B&B. The owner Todd is very nice and accommodating.
We spent 4 days 3 nights here when we visited Saratoga Springs in early May. It’s really convenient, and walking distance to town and Congress Park.
You can enjoy some quiet down time at the mansion which also have a pool (seasonal) and gardens. At the same time the town is so close by if you want some actions.
We will definitely stay here again next time when we visit Saratoga Springs.

After just one visit we are looking forward to the “next time”. Beautiful B&B, so warm and welcoming. The cooked to order breakfast was wonderful, on top of the fruit, granola, yogurt & pastries available to grab and go if you wished. The rooms are well appointed and beautifully decorated, the location is top notch! Just a short walk to Congress Park and not far from there you’ll be on Broadway with all the fun shops, restaurants, etc. We have found our new favorite place to stay in Saratoga and hope to visit many more times in the future.

We have been staying at the Union Gables Inn for over 7 years and we love everything about it. The rooms are very comfortable and the porch is a delightful place to meet up with fellow guests. The owners go out of their way to take good care of the guests and make you feel pampered and welcome. The inground pool and their beautifully maintained flower gardens are an added bonus.

Sadly, this Inn has declined over the years. I stayed here about 10 years ago, and it was magnificent. I recently stayed in the Pond Cottage room, which is not in the main house but rather in a nice, private area in the gardens, and the entire experience was a disappointment. The owner/manager (Todd? ) was just not welcoming or friendly. On the phone before we arrived, and in person, he was cold and unhelpful — never a smile or friendly word, but instead only provides minimal, factual answers to your questions, but freely shares the restrictions and policies of the Inn (message received: Don't break the rules! ). The pool area was lovely, but it is only open until 7:30 pm which makes it difficult to use if you are enjoying the track or the town during the day. The little details especially detracted from the experience — the gardens, which were once beautiful, are overgrown and need to be tended badly. Pond Cottage is in need of some upkeep — a handle fell off the dresser when we tried to open it. The sink and toilet were unsteady to the point where you were afraid to use them. The shower curtain had mold on the bottom. The shower curtain holder was old, so the curtain kept falling off the hook every time you opened and closed it. The room smelled musty. There is not a direct phone line to the Inn Reception area, so you are instructed to call — but when you do, no one answers!

My wife and myself stayed at the Union Gables for 3 nights and we can’t say enough great things about our stay. Starting with our hosts Todd and Ryan who are fantastic everything about the Union Gables is first rate. The included breakfast which you order off their menu was delicious. The location of the Union Gables makes it easy to walk to attractions and restaurants and shopping. The pool and wrap around porch was well taken advantage by us as well as the pool table in the game room. We are looking at the calendar now to decide when we can visit again as this was love at first sight. Thanks again Todd and Ryan and staff for a memorable stay! Carol and Joe.

Not only is this a beautiful B&B, but the staff couldn't be more accommodating. Luca (my dog) and I had a great time and I was able to leave him during the day in the very capable hands of the Union Gables staff for his walks and overall company. Ryan and others went way beyond what I expected to care for Luca and they made us feel right at home. My thanks to all.

Very homey feel and welcoming staff! Have been going here every year for 3 years. We loved Jane but she has since left. Clean room, wonderful breakfast and tasty cookies!

Wonderful place to stay. Lovely home turned B&B. Lots of little extra perks and the breakfast spread was fantastic. Quick walk to Congress Park and then on to Broadway for all the shops and restaurants.

The Inn was very nice, and clean. Filled with antiques and early American furniture. They serve a delicious breakfast omelet.

My husband and I stayed here for a nice quite weekend and it was wonderful. The place is clean and staff is friendly. Breakfast food was great! Lots to do just a mile or less from the bed and breakfast little shops, restaurants, race track and parks. We will come back.

Absolutely gorgeous place, dog friendly, within walking distance of downtown, local restaurants, the track… Highly recommended even if you're a local and want a special weekend.

First stay at a Bed and Breakfast and I think I'm hooked. Just a terrific experience from the second I walked in. I was greeted with a smile, helpful information and a quick walk to the room, which is striking. It's a great combination of traditional charm with up to date conveniences. Had to laugh when it took me a while to find the tv, that was mounted flush above the fireplace. Plenty of workspace at the desk. Spacious bathroom and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Great night's sleep. 24 hour coffee downstairs (which helps after a long drive) along with tea, water and even fresh cookies. Still, everything is kept spotless. It was a little cold when I was there, but the porch and garden areas are inviting. The pool is heated as well. Breakfast was amazing. Options are plentiful, with a continental spread in one room (plenty of fresh fruits, juices, yogurt and breads) as well as made to order options (my omelette was terrific). The breakfast area is spacious (very different from most hotels). The location couldn't be better. Within walking distance of the park and downtown, but also far enough away where everything is peaceful and quite. The biggest difference is the people. Everyone on the staff is friendly, helpful and efficient (inside and out, Union Gables is spotless). When I come back to Saratoga Springs, I'll definitely come back to Union Gables.

If you are visiting Saratoga Springs, there is no other place I would recommend — Union Gables is without question the best stay you will have while you are in town. The bed and breakfast is simply charming — from the outside gardens and fountain, to the spacious porch that wraps around the outside. The outside pool and pool area is perfect for a hot, sunny day. Union Gables is easy to find, has a lot of easy parking, and is a quick walk to downtown Saratoga Springs. The minute you arrive, the staff is very friendly, and go above and beyond to make sure that everything with your stay is satisfactory. They are very knowledgeable of S. S. So if you need any information on how to get to any of the race tracks or any of the historic battlefields near by, they are great at helping directing you. They are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet in your life! The morning breakfast is fantastic — there are lots of great options, and on Sundays — even provide an additional buffet with your meal (yogurts, pastries, etc). The rooms are so quiet and so comfortable, you will be asleep almost immediately. I travel a lot for work, and was surprised how fast (and how long) I slept while staying here,. Although there may be other guests staying — the bed and breakfast is very quiet. The beds are very comfortable, and each room has a big screen TV with lots of channels.

Wow, this property is amazing and they took great care of our client Andy Beningo during their stay while on tour and performing in the area. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and the beds are comfortable and clean. We will highly suggest this hotel to any of our clients passing through or visiting the area!

The whole place was in great shape and very clean. The staff and owner were super friendly and informative. The room we stayed in was comfortable and roomy. Great water pressure and temperature. Comfortable bed. Seating by the gas fireplace was nice. Very relaxing all around.
