I always stay at this same hotel however this time I had to pitch a fit to get moved to a different room! My bath was clogged plus after 5 nights our sheets are just dirty and they don’t clean during covid. That is understandable however why wouldn’t you allow a guest especially a “member stying for a wk” have to beg for a room. Then guess what? The new room they gave us only had a shower 🤦‍♀️ 🤌🏼 just give me a suite we know you do not have any customers during this time. Why not treat a guest like royalty if you have the chance? We even had to make sure we brought our own toilet paper to not feel as though we were disturbing the staff.

I visited this hotel as part of a work event so will comment on their business and catering facilities. The hotel manages a number of meeting rooms and was able to accommodate several different meeting events at the same time. The meeting spaces were well setup and the rooms were clean and we'll lit. Catering was a mixed bag. The food selection was good and hot food was hot but a facility like this serving powdered eggs is just an immediate turn off and is just below what you would expect for such an establishment. The ancillary facilities (lounge, restrooms) were really nice.

Front desk is very helpful, all the staff are good. Rooms are not very spacious, but manageable. Only major con — Bathtub is extremely small, normal person can not fit in. Pro — Location is the best, I enjoyed my stay.

The room was clean and quiet. The hotel is in a great location. It's close to the Hudson River, the One World Trade Center, 9/11 Memorial and a lot of great restaurants and bars. It's also very easy to get to Times Square via subway.

The hotel was nice, close to 9/11 Memorial, Pier 15 and train station. Front desk was friendly… and the lobby was very welcoming. The room was good, bed was comfortable, and nice pillows… bathroom a/c vent need cleaning ASAP. For a Marriott hotel we expect extra clean rooms. Room service was very kind and attentive. Room has a view to the West St. Overall 3 stars.

Great place to stay. It’s very close to the freedom tower and the ground 0. U can walk to those places. It’s also close to Wall Street and the bull of wall street. The hotel costumer service is amazing! I really enjoyed my stay here. This is the second time I am here and this time was even better that the first one. Great choice!

It would've been 5 stars if the Bill's restaurant downstairs was better. Went out to dinner with friends and had terrible quality food and a lot of problems with splitting the bill. But overall, I had a good time in my hotel room. It was very comfortable. And the location had everything we wanted to do in walking distance.

What can I say, except this place deserves more than just five stars. The room was great, location was amazing, but the staff… 10/10. They were tremendous! Everyone was so friendly and helpful, it made for a terrific stay. Take advantage of the bikes! We rode all around town on 7/4 and it was great. Oh and ask the front desk for a goldfish… it definitely adds to the stay we names ours Roxy :)

Marriot seems to be a company that only caters to men. You can tell by their cable channels. Honestly I don't ask for much in a hotel, but if I am here for work I would like to be able to watch things on my off time. There is nothing but sports channels. Just because you have lifetime does not mean you are catering to my demographic. I know it seems odd that I am ranting about the television channels but seriously it is pathetic.

Love the hotel… Very nice comfortable clean and the staff was nice… The only thing is they had no microwave…

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The lunch was very good, but the dessert left something to be desired. All in all, the event went well although at one point, the toilet paper in the women's room ran out. When brought to the attention of the staff, they remedied the situation quickly.

The king bed room was great and front desk was helpful. This hotel has destination charge of $15 per night extra, which can be credited for using high speed internet or gym or food and beverages. Also you can't combine multiple day credit into one single transaction.

The room is very big, the view is good, nearby 911 building, Wall Street, nearby is Century 21, from the hotel and the subway are also very close! There are a lot of shops around the place to eat. Can see is a rich tradition and very systematic senior business hotel, the hotel's spare parts (shampoo, foam bath milk is very good) lying in the hotel bed will not want to get up, because too comfortable!

This is a standard Marriott. The rooms are clean and reasonably spacious. The views from the highest floors can see the new One World Trade tower. The tubs don’t have even bottoms, which makes standing for a shower mildly uncomfortable. The lounge has a standard breakfast which I enjoy. The restaurant is just a burger place and not nearly as nice as most Marriotts. They don’t have any breakfast buffet. They also in 2018, along with several hotels in NYC, started charging a “destination fee” of $15/night that comes with a $15/night dining credit. If the restaurant was better, such as the Marriott Marquis, I wouldn’t mind as much. I really don’t have $15 of food (burgers and fries) I even want from that place every single day.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, great view of the Statue of Liberty! Very helpful and friendly staff! Great location for plenty of sight seeing, and close to all forms of transit. I do, however, find it frustrating (especially for longer stays) that a hotel this nice (and pricey) doesn’t provide microwaves, or even a decent refrigerator in all of their rooms. Ours was small and just barely cold enough to preserve food. Also very upsetting that there’s no room service or complimentary breakfast. A meal for one at their restaurant is easily close to $30, AND I have to walk down to go get it. Between that and the Wi-Fi I felt kind of nickeled and dimed for simple amenities.

Went to an event at Bill's Bar and Burgers here. The food was excellent, drinks superb and the staff (Angel, Danny, Ty and Will) were beyond fantastic and professional. Love, love, loved it!

A great hotel great view of the south of Manhattan.

Location is ideal if you ask me. And plenty of parking lots around (non directly linked to hotel). I found the customer service to be both great and well, not so great. The room was decent. Little things like cleaner windows or enhancing layout of amenities and perhaps voicing details regarding where breakfast is for gold members would have put this on the map as a 4 star. It's so close. But its a big hotel! So understand why it doesn't quite make it. Having 2 restaurants linked to the place makes for major bonus points. Worth staying here if you want something nice, reliable and pretty convenient.

Not great rooms especially the bathrooms still with bathtub and curtain to take a shower. Honestly for the price you charge would be the case to renew.

The New York Marriott Downtown is a great place to stay. Have been going there for over 15 years. My wife and I look forward to seeing Carlos in front and Sean at the bell desk (as well as the other staff members). Front desk is always friendly and helpful. Views are spectacular and many interesting sites within walking distance. Also, Bill's Bar and Burgers onsite has great food, drink and service. (Natasha at the bar at night and Stephanie at the hostess station were fantastic! )

We had a great view of the city and the room service was excellent. There are lots of elevators so it's fast and easy to get to your room. We could see the world trade center building and the 9/11 memorial right from our room. The bathroom was very clean with more than one option for body wash and shampoo. Over all it was a great experience and me and my family loved staying in New York and we couldn't have had such a great time without the courtside Marriott hotel.

Very attractive hotel with a friendly, efficient staff. We arrived very late (early morning) and the front desk person made sure our room was held for us. Very comfortable bed so had a great night's sleep. Great views of the financial district. Our room had nice view of Hudson River. Would definitely stay here again.

Rating should be (3.5). There are alot of other choices within the lower Manhattan and mid-town areas of course. For an older "property" the NY Marriott Downtown provides a great "home-base" for day trips around the city. The rooms are comfortable and provide enough style to remain just relevant. Upon close inspection one will note the wear and tear of "miles" which the rooms have seen, however, and again they are functional and less expensive than most of the newer and trendy options. The staff; from check-in to maid service, the employees I/we had interactions with were professional and helpful. The elevators were functional and the concierge level breakfasts were presented well in the standard manner/selection. The fitness room was modern and adequate for most travelers. The Starbucks attached downstairs was convenient, however, I recommend steering clear of Bill's Burger Bar for food. You can read my reviews on Google or Trip Advisor dated approximately 28 Sept, 2017. Finally, a disclosure; I am a Marriott Rewards members which I view as an investment/reward relationship. I do not hesitate to communicate when I note either issues or exemplary service. Enjoy!

I would recommend this hotel for a wedding block or any other event. My Event Manager Nicholas was perfect. The staff went beyond their duties. Customer Service was the best. I can' (t say enough about the hotel and the staff. I want to thank everyone at the Marriott Downtown.!

Impeccable service! Great views, quite area of town. Restaurant has good food, kitchen seemed a little slow when busy. Junior suite had mold in bathroom. This is a huge issue as mold is a nerotoxin and can be detrimental to health. I'm going to address this issue with the management and update accordingly.

Quiet, comfortable beds, clean and always a quick elevator when you need it. Could use a little updating in the furnishings and bathroom, but overall a great property at a reasonable price. Loved the location, midway between the Wall Street and Rector stations. Would certainly stay there again.

Just in town for a weekend event. My friend took care of the hotel room. Place is nice enough and staff is nice enough. Not a big fan of their pillows though. Too big. Lol.

This is a very convenient place as function hall for weddings, seminar, trainings and other occasions. The place is clean and rooms are spacious. I would prefer this hotel than the other I checked in before.

I was there one year ago and I can say it was pretty awesome. Perfect Service, friendly Stuff, large rooms and big beds. The area around the Hotel is gorgeus, you Walk not longer than 5 minutes and you can see the Statue of liberty, near the Hotel there is the World trade Center, the Time Square and so much more, you'll have to Check it out. At the end I can say, I love this hotel so much and I'll come back next year. :)

We stay at this hotel frequently for business. Since we are regular they upgrade us when possible. The concierge lounge is great. The view is great. The beds are perfect. And the staff are helpful. The reason I love this hotel is location! The office is not too far from the hotel and the morning jog around the Hudson it's fantastic! If the weather is bad they have a large gym you can use instead.

7 dollars for a bottle of water?! 14 dollars for Wi-Fi?! If I did have another choice I'd never stay here. They literally nickel and dime you to death. Now I completely understand why they were adamant about a credit card for incidentals instead of cash. You can spend 100 bucks in a day! Rediculous!

The hotel hosted a conference so I was able to experience the hotel as a stay and as a host of the conference. Room service did not meet my standards. Overall the rest of the stay was excellent. Room service took too long for a Cesar salad and they called twice to tell me first they didn't have grilled shrimp and then to tell me they had no shrimp. The next day we are the actual restaurant downstairs and it was excellent. The conference accomodations were acceptable as well as the amenities.

My 1st visiting NYC. I can't believe the hotel change everything. Toothpaste, umbrella. Whatever you ask they change. We upgrade the room. And pay more money the room smells bad. I will not going to stay here again. If next time I'm visiting. Unhappy the room and not helping.

Rooms are clean and modern. Friendly staff. They offer freshly baked cookies in afternoon at front desk. Great location for visiting world trade visitor center. Battery park is my favorite part pf Manhattan.

I was at the New York Marriott Downtown for a 1 day conference. The conference rooms were very nice and not too cold. Lunch was delicious with a nice selection of salad, pasta and chicken. I would definitely return to the New York Marriott Downtown for a business meeting. One drawback is it is a little hard to get to as there are no close public transportation stops (but there is parking if travelling by car)

The surrounding shopping very convenient, rooms very spacious and comfortable, just not what style, a comparison of the General public.

A QUIET PLACE FOR HAPPY HOUR! Bill's Burger in the lobby of the hotel has loud, sports bar side and a quiet, lobby bar side. If you're downtown and need a place for a quiet drink with a friend. This is your place.

My first night here, service is really bad! We have two rooms in the hotel, one on the 34th floor and one on the 14th floor, half the luggage was out in the 34th and told the bell man to put the other half in the 14th but when we went to the 14th floor luggage wasnt in the room, we called downstairs, operator wasnt tht friendly either, kept telling me she was going to get back to me, waited half an hour, called back the second time.

The rooms are pretty nice; fairly dark, quiet enough, very comfortable beds. The gym is well equipped and empty of guest most times I go there. There are several me pretty good views from many of the rooms too. Good location.

Great place to stay if you want a quiet vacation in NY. Our room was suppose to have a view of the Statue of Liberty. I choked on laughter when I saw my view. The Statue was almost… and I mean almost… the size of my thumb's height. WOW… that's my view? Anyways, I didn't let that bother me since it was my first time in NY city. Bottom line, place was just like any other nice 4 star Marriott. Everything was perfect… thus the 4 stars. But the bad part, we decided to explore everything near Central Park and Time Square. So the cost of travel back and forth from this hotel became an issue. Started with a taxi but ended using the subway. Got lost a couple of times but we were destine to learn it. So glad we came to NY. Great foods, great place to visit. Bottom line, I will not be staying here again if I will explore Central Park again. Wasted time in the travel… although that break was good on the feet. Good parts: quiet.

Overall the hotel was great. The location was convenient and was located close to a subway station. The service was also great, and the broken TV in our room was fixed almost immediately. The rooms were clean and spacious and we had a good view of the river. Our only complaint was the fact that the walls seem to be paper-thin.

Decent downtown hotel. We spent a couple of nights in the hotel earlier this year. The room was modern, clean and nicely designed. By New York standards it was a decent size but bear in mind that's still small compared to everywhere else. The lack of free Wi-Fi (~$10 per person per day) is a little frustrating in a hotel that is already quite expensive. We enquired about the possibility of getting an extra roll-away bed in the room but were told this was $30 a night and I'm not sure how it would have fitted in the room. The staff were friendly and accommodating when we had different bookings for each night we were here and wanted to stay in the same room for both. Location wise the hotel is good for the Statue of Liberty and 9/11 Memorial. You're close to the subway but bear in mind getting to mid-town will take you 25-30mins. If you do stay here I recommend George's diner round the corner, the breakfast is great.

It was great. I was there for a conference and the staff was amazing. All food and drink were constantly stocked and accessible, everything was clean and everyone was courteous. I would stay there in a heartbeat if I was staying over in the city.

Professional staff, clean updated comfortable rooms with nice beds. Wi-Fi is fast and never allowed down when at portal times.

Great site worth visiting!

The place is not fancy but clean and inviting. It has a bar and grill which serves up a really good breakfast and really good strong coffee. The only complaint I have is that whenever someone takes a shower, the pipes make this really loud humming sound which gets really annoying after a while. Wish they'd fix that. Otherwise, I'd stay here again.

It was raining and had to smoke. Was looking for the place and the doorman started yelling at me and was absolutely rude. When I said don't yell at me, he started confronting … absolutely non-professional and non-courteous behavior. I understand what he said was right but rude behavior is not acceptable.

Really awesome hotel! We stayed here for vacation and it was such a pleasure! The rooms were kept very nicely and clean The rooms were huge and spacious and the bathrooms were luxurious Nothing but good things for my stay here!

The room was clean and it smelled good. The receptionist and guest services were very helpful and friendly. The only downfall was the temperature on the 8th floor. It literally felt like a refrigerator. The entire floor was so cold, it felt you were walking into meat freezer. By the time we checked out I was sneezing constantly. Not a good experience on floor 8th. Everything else was good.

Quick, to the point, no frills, yet not too much drama. The elevators are odd and can get cramped during morning hours. The cleanliness and nearby amenities were nice such as Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts for caffeine preferences. I would like perhaps some more complimentary items but it was to the point for three sisters.

Stayed on the 31st floor, view was pleasant. Room was decent enough, typical Marriott style room and decor/furniture. Only thing I have to complain about was the Wi-Fi. 2 options for Wi-Fi, $15/day or $20/day, this is absurd. The Wi-Fi connection was horrible, could barely skype or VPN to work.

We stayed here for a quick overnight with our 2 kids. We were given a corner room with 2 walls of windows on the 28th floor. The views were fabulous, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. For the price we weren't expecting an enormous room and it wasn't but was definitely adequate. The staff was very friendly and helpful at check-in and they even gave us free Wi-Fi. Also, contrary to other reviews, coffee and tea are supplied in the room. We would definitely go back.

1. Some Staffs at the front desk are rude! 2. The Account department is very slow and lazy: Every time I ask the balance zero to be sent to my email but they never do it until I call some days after my checkout and beg for that service.

What a great experience. The hotel was super busy but we received such great service. I was traveling with 2 little girls and at check in, the woman gave us 2 little teddy bears. They also found us a room with 2 doubles instead of a king. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Definitely would recommend it.

I love the Marriott located off 85 west St. In New York. It has wonderful views of the harbor and has very professional meeting rooms for business. Only thing though is the room service was kind of slow in bringing up food.
