The hotel is bs. I cancelled my hotel room. And they still charged me. They won’t give me my money back for their wrong doing.

If you want to be right in the heart of the French Quarter on Bourbon, this is a beautiful historic hotel with a perfect customer experience, excellent staff!

The hotel is pretty and clean! The restaurants and entertainment were amazing. Denise at the front desk, was so warm and welcoming! Excellent stay!

I went there to find peace from the gang stalking criminals constantly causing my life a hell and putting me in extreme pain by constantly hitting me with direct energy weapons. They don’t allow me to even barely survive! I was put on the illegal gov torture/ kill blacklist by Dr. Lawrence Giambelluca who was a doctor, ex husband, and a gov elected official. You will see by the pics of the armed drone that you can’t escape them! The Royal Sonesta was extremely good to me. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the New Orleans French Quarter. The entire staff is wonderful and the hotel is historic and beautiful. Thanks to all at the Royal Sonesta French Quarter, New Orleans! Security is awesome too along with their very professional valet and bell service. I give them 5 big stars!

Hotel is nice and everyone we encountered was friendly and very helpful! Hard to get in touch with someone to request towels/pillows. We were told they were holding incidentals of $50 a day on our cards but when we got there they held the entire price of the room plus incidentals.

We love staying at the RSNOLA! So much so that we booked our wedding here! We love it and will forever come back! The staff goes above and beyond every time❤️ it’s great customer service every time we come for a visit. Our favorite month is December always so Festive 🎄

I recommend the hotel because it is exquisite and lovely. Since everything around here is very old, I have not had the impression of anything negative. It is an excellent place to stay.

Pics are very deceiving. These rooms are very small. The employees are not helpful. It took us almost two hours to park because they couldn’t give very good directions These rates for this room is outrageous.

We will never stay here again. They are unorganized and unprofessional. Our check in was at 4pm. When we arrived the lady at the counter said our room was not ready. They must run into this problem often because another gentleman told us he had been waiting since 2pm for his room. Being my birthday weekend we had places to be/go at a certain time. We asked the lady how long would it take for it to be ready? She said she couldn’t give us a time, not even a estimate. She said she’ll give us a call once we are able to check in. Being a military family, we’ve stayed in several hotels and never had our rooms not been ready! We go about our day and never did we get one single call back saying our room is ready! We walk back in to the hotel around 12am to check in. Lady in the front desk said our room was ready since 6pm. Shocked, we asked why didn’t we get a call? She said I just got here but you can speak to our manager tomorrow. We spoke with him the next morning and apparently according to their records it showed we checked in at 10pm. Really!? That’s a lie. Check your cameras! He apologized gave my husband his email said he would try to figure something out to make up for the experience. This happened July 11 haven’t heard back from him since. Very disappointing experience.

Yes and no. The staff was great and friendly but the only thing that kind of got me agitated a little bit we're the guys beating on the 5 gallon buckets outside my room the biggest part of the day and in the late evening. Did not enjoy it at all when I was trying to relax and take a nap. But I guess that's the New Orleans.

Always wanted to stay here finally got the chance and I have stayed in much better Hotels even during Covid Got I set of Towels for 3 nights no wash clothes no room service of any kind sink leaked toilet leaked reported it but they never fixed very disappointed For location it’s Great.

What a wonderful experience! First when I checked in April greeted me, what a delightful women Happy, cheerful, polite, accommodating. Every time I walked through the lobby she greeted me. I asked for a fan in my room … no problem… I needed more towels. Soap, plastic cups, coffee no problem… loved the pool area. On Thursday nights a band is at the pool … everything was very clean and bright. I felt safe every time I walked into hotel. Thank you for great service and thank you April!

Beautiful hotel with a great design in and out and the staff was great and friendly. The main manager was a great guy he truly help us out when we had a issue and it was fixed and great amount of time. Awesome third floor pool and bar and again great staff.

The grounds are beautiful and every staff member was very friendly and helpful. Shoutout to River on the front desk and Jim the concierge. Both were incredible! A few minor glitches that I should point out: the lock to our balcony was broken. We reported it the 1st day, and it still wasn’t fixed when we checked out. We were told they had to order a part, but didn’t hear anything else about it the rest of the week. The faucet in the shower was detached from the wall. Could still use it, but should be fixed before it really breaks. Housekeeping was very inconsistent. Sometimes our room was vacuumed, sometimes it wasn’t. Sometimes we got new towels, sometimes they just took the used ones and didn’t leave clean ones. Last thing that was annoying was a strange sound that happened at various times throughout the day and night. It sounded like a skateboard rolling & hitting the wall. We thought it was the housekeeping cart, but the halls are carpeted. Thought it might be a dumbwaiter, but room service was only in the morning. Could be the HVAC system? It was very strange and somewhat annoying at night. None of these took away from our vacation. Just wanted to bring it to your attention.

The staff were wonderful-friendly and helpful! The Royal Teddy Bear Tea was beautiful. We’ve made it a priority for the holidays for at least 10 years now! I’m very pleased with our experience!

Our favorite place to stay. Wonder staff, beautiful facility and a fantastic Jazz Club in the hotel! Restaurants and bars serve amazing food! And a bonus — the Christmas decorations are lovely! If you are looking for a place to celebrate the holidays — this is it! Thank you!

Loved our recent stay at this great hotel. You’d think you were in a different world from busy Bourbon Street. Helpful staff, lovely room (although had very poor view of roof and air conditioning units), pool looked fabulous but we didn’t have time to try it out, maybe next time! There will definitely be a next time!

This is the best place to stay in New Orleans! The workers are so helpful and amazing. There are nice places to eat inside of the hotel and the location of the hotel is great as well. Everything that you would like to do is on the same strip as the hotel so a taxi or uber is not needed.

This was our first visit to NOLA. The first 2 nights were great! The last 2 were terrible. Room wasn’t “cleaned” until after 2pm. Dirty hand towel and glasses still in the room and the room hadn’t been vacuumed. For the money that was charged to my credit card for my 4 night stay, I really expected a much better experience! My son also stayed here and it is now 5:45pm and his room still hasn’t been cleaned! The employees in housekeeping and the front desk were extremely nonchalant about the inconvenience to him and his family. I am truly disappointed and will not stay here again or recommend this hotel to any friends or family.

It was our last night in NOLA came in for a nightcap and to listen to the Jazz band. Wonderful night down memory lane. This was where we stayed 40 years ago for our Honeymoon.

One of the nicest places to stay downtown. Located in the heart of the action in the French Quarter although the hotel itself is an oasis to escape the madness. Clean, comfortable and plenty to do both in the hotel itself and within walking distance.

Hotel looked absolutely amazing online. Was the place I was looking forward to lost on my trip.
Booked a king room, on arrival was given a room with 2 x double beds. Asked to change so they stuck us in the worst room, sure it had a king bed but instead of overlooking the street or pool it overlooked a concrete roof. I tried to complain to front desk but were inattentive, so I placed an online complaint. We were then moved to a 3rd room that was opposite a suite that they allowed to hold an all night party in.
Today we get back and they made the bed but didn’t empty any bins or clean anything else. After a great day out was looking forward to some room service and abut if TV. TV didn’t work so I called front desk and a rude girl said yep we know and we can’t do anything about it… and hung up!

Staying at the Royal Sonesta right now and we love it! My wife and I came down for a short getaway and this location is perfect and centrally located. The pool is great, rooms are clean and everyone has been nice. I'd definitely stay here again.

A wonderful stay right on Bourbon Street. Very little noise heard from street crowd even into the late hours. Only minor issue was that the In room water bottles should be better marked with a tag. We thought they were complimentary. Fortunately, they waive the charges. Restaurant and jazz club were outstanding.

This is a very beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly. They have three really nice restaurants located inside the hotel. We ate at the Desire Oyster Bar and I had the jambalaya and cornbread and it was probably the best meal that I have had in New Orleans. The pool area is really nice as well. I like that they have a tiki bar. The water was a little cold even in the middle of August. I had a great experience at this hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is going to be visiting. The only downside is it's right on Bourbon Street and the activity will wake you up in the middle of the night. I was there for a work function so going to bed early was a must.

This is a beautiful hotel. Some of the amenities or a bit older. It is right in the heart of the action and an easy walk to several sights and food places. I do want to say that the sides of the hotel that are on Bourbon Street is extremely loud and non stop action that can be heard in the room all night long. Other than that the staff are extremely welcoming and kind. I felt very comfortable and had a wonderful experience!

I stayed here for four night for a conference and I was basically happy with everything. The room was fine. Sure, it was rather small, but clean. The location is great because it's just right where the parties are. And the food is great, too. I really enjoyed the breakfasts and coffee times. Hotel staff were helpful in answering my questions regarding nearby places.

We didn't stay here but went to the Jazz Playhouse inside the Royal Sonesta. Great atmosphere, good drinks and of course great music. It's a seated club and more laid back. Definitely would recommend.

Incredible hotel, very fancy and traditional right in the core of the city. It offers amazing breakfast and the staff is always nice and helpful. The conference rooms are big and very pretty. Any event in this hotel is already a step ahead in quality overall. The rooms are a bit expensive, but if you want quality above all and to be right in the centre of NOLA, then look no further.

Great location in the middle of Bourbon Street, easy walking distance to most locations. Concierge was very helpful. Rooms are very clean and staff friendly. Pool was lovely, stays in the sun most of the day and towels are provided. Hotel restaurants were great too.

The Royal Sonesta is located right on Bourbon Street in the heart of the French Quarter. I was there for a conference. The conference center and hotel lobby area are very elegant. They have a beautiful outdoor courtyard surrounded by the hotel restaurant. The conference facilities are great and the food was fantastic. I also felt their conference services were great and they were very attentive and provided excellent support.

You can't beat the location! Right on Bourbon Street in the middle of all of the excitement. We we're upgraded to a room with a balcony which made our stay there unforgettable. The hotel itself was beautiful and clean. We will be recommending this hotel to all of our friends.

Royal Sonesta is right on Bourbon street in the center of the French Quarter. I loved being across from the Jazz Legends Park and several amazing restaurants. The hotel staff was always helpful and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The hotel wasn't too loud to sleep. The pool was nice to sit by during the day. The hotel restaurant Desire had wonderful food.

It is located in the perfect spot of the French Quarters. The service is excellent! The rooms were great and clean. The food is excellent! I will be back here again! I love it here!

Beautiful hotel. I did not stay at hotel, I actually went to the Jazz Club in hotel for my first burlesque show. The band playing was great and the show was wonderful. Very entertaining. The Burlesque show was THE highlight of my trip.

My family and I visited for Easter brunch and it was absolutely fantastic. There was a large spread of quality New Orleans style dishes that could definitely compete against some upscale restaurants in the area. There was a child's buffet, at child's height, with kid favorites. The staff were all professional, kind, courteous, helpful and more than we could've hoped for. The facilities were well-kept and clean. Lastly, parking is free in their valet lot (When visiting for only a few hours), which anyone knows is a real rarity in the middle of the French Quarter.

While the hotel was nice enough, everything to do with service was atrocious. I prepaid my reservation, but upon checkin, the clerk argued that I had not and needed to provide payment. Once I straightened that out, I still had to provide a credit card that was charged $50/day for incidentals. I was then given a single room and told that’s what I reserved, and I had to explain again and show my reservation to get it changed. Finally, this morning I’m told I have to pay $92.86 for parking, but the $50/day I’ve already been charged doesn’t cover that. Disgusted and insulted yet again, I just paid cash for the parking. The only receipt they would give me says they charged my credit card for the parking. All of this is besides the attitude and ignoring shown to me from every desk clerk. I’ll definitely not stay here again.

In appearance a very nice hotel. But with the exception of 1 staff member (Raquel) the staff at the hotel is the reason I will NEVER stay at that hotel again nor will I in any way recommend it to anyone. They have no idea of the concept of service and become negative in their attitude the minute you question the aspect. Stay away people!

We stayed on the concierge floor which was great for the lounge access, plus breakfast, plus happy hour. It's amazing with all the craziness on Bourbon Street that you can't even hear it when you walk into the hotel. It is very centrally located and within walking distance of most restaurants and attractions.

I attended a workshop at the Royal Sonesta in the French Quarter. The main level and conference level was very nice, clean, and elegant. Just like most places in the French Quarter, you can tell it it's an older building and older facilities. The lunch that was provided was delicious and there was plenty of options to choose from. I would recommend the Royal Sonesta if you are looking to host a meeting or conference.

My husband and I arrived early and they still checked us in. Nice, clean rooms, comfy beds. Water in the shower was decent pressure and great temperature, despite the water pipe issues NOLA has recently had. We also went to Desire and the jazz playhouse. Both had great cocktails, Desire had great food, and the jazz place was super fun and classy. Great location, too… super close to lots of things. Overall, it's been a great stay and I don't really have any negatives to share. We'd stay here again for sure!

Nice hotel. We had a room on the 4th floor facing Bourbon St and were told it would be noisy which was fine. The window was tiny so it wasn't much of a view. No big deal. Bed was comfortable but the pillows are awful. They were so limp, there was no support. Bathroom was fine. Room service was good. If the price were right we would consider staying again but would bring pillows!

Great location for sightseeing in New Orleans or just staying put in the French Quarter. Great music in the lobby jazz club. If you are brave enough, you can even get a room with a balcony facing Bourbon Street. (The noise is not that bad, if you have earplugs! ) Four stars instead of five because the hotel is in need of an overhaul of everything from the tech to the carpeting.

Right in the heart of the French Quarter, the Royal Sonesta is an upscale hotel with balcony rooms that look over the main streets of the area. The hotel is a renovated structure that's tastefully decorated with a vintage feel. The Wi-Fi is complimentary. Only valet parking is available. The rooms are clean, cozy and comfortable. Bring ear plugs. The old doors that step out to the balcony don't block the noise from the restaurants and lively pedestrians below.

Had a wonderful stay at the Royal Sonesta in New Orleans. The hotel was decorated for Papa Noel and Christmas and was beautiful. The staff was always helpful and pleasant. Our 5th floor room was clean with a refrigerator and nice linens. This hotel is perfectly situated in the French Quarter on Bourbon Street for whatever activities you want to do.

Nice hotel, great location, lots of restaurant choices, nice jazz bar. But it's quite expensive for what it is. However, if you wanna be on bourbon street, it s the place to be. Don't expect Ritz Carlton kinda luxury. However, I would not say that the personnel is unfriendly. They are just extremely busy.

The Hotel was great, yet they never forwarned us or even warned us upon arrival of the violent and dangerous event that was to take place that weekend. On Bourbon street there was a mass of over 100, 000 thugs that gather that weekend every year! It was a nightmare. All clubs and bars of any substance were closed and the streets were guarded by police officers with AR15's, yet we never got the slightest of warning. We spent the entire weekend, as best we could, in our room in search of safety. I believe it was up to them to warn us at the time of booking and at the very least upon arrival. NOLA needs to clean up these events and make it a great place for tourist all year long and at best let them know the best and worst times to visit. We will never revisit as guest a the Sonesta due to the fact that they were not interested in our safety. Next time we will be further from Bourbon St and closer to the real culture of this beautiful city.

A friend and I stayed here the weekend before Halloween. The construction is a pain but certainly no fault of the hotel. The hotel was great and staff was wonderful. Housekeeping did a great job (make sure to tip them, they deserve it). Food was good. Loved the jazz club. Wonderful music and bartenders were great. We definitely plan on staying there again if ever in New Orleans again!

Excellent service! I was greeted with a bottle of champagne for my birthday but the paderes are too thin. You would hear the conversations of the people outside in the hallway.

Very disappointed with this hotel and will think twice of coming back. I have been to 100 of hotels and I understand they have conference rooms for special events and I respect that. Every company or group wants to have their own space for their venue. I am very disconcerted that they will rent out common areas like the beautiful garden in the main floor or lobby during a busy time when "all" their guests want to be outside enjoying the property. What makes it even worse is that I was already sitting outside enjoying my cappuccino bought at the hotel cafe when the hotel "police and management" comes down to tell me that I have to get out of this common area that I am already accustomed to visit. This was very rude to make a hotel guest feel like he's breaking the law in being there. I am not in their conference room or event I am just outside enjoying a coffee like I do every day. Another guest that was there was also complaining about this and we felt this was outright rude. Not acceptable. Very discomforting not customer focused and oriented. Rent out your conference rooms and buffet rooms not your common areas. I understand New Orleans real estate is expensive and very limited but you have to think on what your guest feel when they are approached by a security guard to tell them they have to move out in front of everybody. No disrespect intended but as a guest I didn't like the treatment. I would have rather have the door locked so I wouldn't have gone outside.

The place is at a perfect location. Everything is walking distance. The rooms are clean and well maintained. A bit smaller and the shower in the bathroom has no pressure. The staff is friendly. If you get the room near the street, it will be noisy in the room through out the night. The food at the restaurant is excellent and the entertainment at the jazz lounge is awesome.

Nice place. Burbon street is under construction bit that's temporary and not the hotels fault. The pool was nice but kinda cold. Our room was very nice but a strong odor of maybe mold when you walk in the room. Housekeeping came in one day and took our tip but forgot to clean the room? That was weird. Would I stay here again? Sure. Location is amazing.

The interior of the hotel is VERY nice. The location is great (this is what your paying for). But the rooms are pretty basic. Wifi is included. Breakfast is not. You are required to use valet parking while there at like $40 per night so factor that into your costs if you find a deal.

Stayed here 5yrs ago and thoroughly enjoyed the amenities and friendly service. Returned but only to visit the jazz playhouse tonight. Best central location for live, authentic jazz. Charming and pleasant overall experience.

My camera went missing from my room Overall we had a good stay. The room was nice, the playhouse is great, great food great music and the bar has a very friendly barman named Mike. However my camera went missing from my room and although I spent weeks (almost six) trying to follow up with the hotel, there was no satisfactory resolution and I was told by head of security that I probably lost it elsewhere. It was handled very poorly by the hotel. If you stay here, make sure you don't leave your belongings lying around your hotel room.

Rooms are beautiful, and beds are comfortable. We had a flight cancelled and could not make our reservation for the first night… I called and they did not charge us for the room for that night. We wanted to check in at 10am the following morning and they were very accommodating. If I have any complaints at all it is that housekeeping did not make it to our room until 4:15pm, at which point we we're back in the room getting ready for dinner. Otherwise it is centrally located right on Bourbon Street, but is still quiet when you are ready for bed.

If you're staying in New Orleans, bite the bullet, spend a few bucks more, and stay here. The hotel is frankly excellent. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortably furnished. Service and housekeeping standards are excellent, and you don't even have to step outside the hotel if you're after great jazz. The hotel bar takes care of that too… But the thing which really turns this from a great hotel to a unique one is the fact that — if you do decide to step outside — you're right in the middle of "The Quarter" on its legendary Bourbon Street. Seriously… don't mess around staying anywhere else. If you want to experience Nawlins as God intended it to be experienced, this is your place…

This place is off to a rocky start. Wi-Fi doesn't work, I can hear the people in the next room… sounds like two buffalo's going at it, and there was trash left from the previous guest. Great location and a pretty hotel but Wi-Fi not working when you are attempting to work in your room makes stuff very difficult given the price tag. Staff seems friendly though.

My wife and I are made our first trip to Mardi Gras and it was awesome. We stayed in the R-Club which is on the 7th floor. Darin the R Club Manager made it an experience that we would never forget. He was so friendly and helpful. Darin gave us all of the tips to make Mardi Gras special. He told us where to watch the parades and what areas to avoid. Everything in the hotel was perfect. Perfect location and only 2 blocks from Canal Street. This is where most of the parades go by. They do charge an extra security fee during Mardi Gras but it is well worth it. We always felt safe especially with the hotel right in the middle of all of the action. The food was excellent at the Desire restaurant that is connected to the hotel. Make sure you have the grilled oysters and say hi to Robert for us. He was an excellent server. Bring him a parade cup if you catch one, he collects them! Overall not one bad thing to say. Thanks again to Darin and his R Club staff for making our trip a memorable one.
