Great location & cute balcony!

I stayed here with my BF for his birthday. The only down side was no mini fridge and our room check in was delayed due to the maids not being done yet. The staff were super friendly. Got two free drinks on arrival. The pool area was nice to hang out in while waiting for check in. Room was super clean and tidy. Plus when it took to long for our car to arrive from valet they comped us a day of valet.

A very clean hotel with friendly and courteous staff. We were on our honeymoon, the hotel provided a courtesy bottle of champagne the first night we were there. The location couldn't be better, same goes for the breakfast included each morning.
Will certainly be returning!

The minute we walked in we were greeted by lovely helpful staff and everything has been perfect. The room is well appointed and larger than I expected. Comfy bed. The courtyard /pool are a mix of rustic brickwork and modern furniture/colors-great photo spot. Perfect location for walking around the French Quarter. Taxi from the airport was only $15 each for our group of 6 and apparently Uber is even less.

Beautiful experience and we love it here. The hotel is so wonderful and excellent customer service and so friendly staff.

My husband and I came here over Christmas and have nothing but great things to say! Our room was clean and spacious. The pool and outdoor seating area are very stylish. We loved having a bar (and free drink voucher) in our hotel.

Front desk staff wasn’t very pleasant when we arrived. Nor was the housekeeping and bar tender. When got our rooms noticed the ceiling was leaking over top of a bed. Thankfully was able to switch rooms. I feel like the price you pay for the rooms you could get better service elsewhere.

I booked a honeymoon trip and had to cancel today because of the potential danger from hurricane Gordon. The bulletin stated that life threatening storm surge is expected. David at this hotel advised me that because I chose to cancel my booking as a result of the threat to my life that the hotel will penalize me for 1 night’s stay. Hotel le Marais you are at best insensitive and at worst dishonest. This is wrong and shame on you, after Katrina and the loss of life you shoul…d be doing better. Shame on you David.

What an awesome hotel in the French Quarter! Great rooms, fantastic amenities and a location you can’t beat — right between Royal and Bourbon Street. Best thing is, once you are in the hotel, you can escape the craziness of what is going on outside! Thouroughly enjoyed our stay!

Happy to update review after 1 night. Exceptional service. Thank you front desk. Thank you to the the staff & thank you Mr. Brandstetter (manager). Check in was easy, the 1st rooms were just not what I expected. Something needs to be done about the frosted windows obviously. Other than that great location, great bartender (thank you for the recommendations). I'll come back again for that last star. (;

What a great hotel. On top of everything but a calm oasis in the hurly burly. Without exception the staff were warm and charming and, although small for 3 of us, it was very comfortable and offered everything we needed. I warmly recommend this excellent hotel!

Great location right in the heart of Bourbon Street. Our room was very quiet, couldn't hear anything but we were on the 5th floor. Great staff, room was clean and secure. When you walk out you walk out into the very hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street, but also does its own entertainment. Would stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all super friendly, were eager to give out information and recommendations for places to visit and eat. The service was great; they always greeted us and checked how we were doing when they saw us. The hotel was very nice, clean and had a great little bar area and courtyard. The location was great; right in the heart of the French Quarter, just off Bourbon Street. However, once you were in the hotel, you would never know you were so close to Bourbon St. It was like an oasis from some of the craziness. We highly recommend Hotel le Marais.

We enjoyed our stay there. Attentive service. The room was slightly dusty when we arrived, but otherwise everything else was up to standards. Breakfast was great too! Location unbeatable — near bourbon st but not too near to be too noisy.

It was so absolutely beautiful and elegant. Staff was helpful and courteous. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. So many options to choose from. And the location is perfect! RIGHT next to Bourbon Street.

Used this hotel for a birthday party with a group of 22 people. The hotel was great and the staff was very accommodating. Continental breakfast was helpful every morning. Seconds from Bourbon Street and having the Copper Monkey right next door was a great meeting place for our group as we headed out for our daily excursions. Would definitely recommend.

Impeccable from the moment checking, to checking out. The front desk manager David was helpful and engaging. All the staff were courteous and welcoming, the property beautiful, and the location perfect! Having worked at the Ritz Carlton in WDC, I know a great place when I see one!

The wife and I stayed here due to our normal Hotel being booked up. We are extremely glad that we did as we had one of the best experiences ever with this hotel. All of the staff were incredibly friendly in the room was very nice. The Vive bar was super nice and you cannot beat the free breakfast. Definitely a step up from a normal continental breakfast. Its location is also perfect as you are just steps away from Bourbon Street.

Fantastic hotel! It is located between Bourbon St and Royal St which is an ideal location. The beds were huge and very comfortable. The rooms were very clean with a nice bathroom. They offered a nice free breakfast and even gave free water bottles in the room every day (and offered us some on the way out too). The only draw back is that the walls were a little thing, but that wouldn't keep me from coming back here again. Will definitely recommend to friends! They also had a heated saltwater pool in a beautiful courtyard, but we never got around to using it. Looked pretty though.

All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and quite. We heard absolutely nothing that was happening on Bourbon street inside the room even though the hotel is only 1/2 block away. Great stay.

When we arrived, the entire hotel smelled of fresh paint and chemicals, including the room. We looked at a few other available rooms, and it was same issue across the board. When we couldn't find a place to sleep that didn't smell toxic, we checked-out (within about 20 minutes of arriving) and advised that we were not going to stay there, but it appears they are refusing to acknowledge the cancellation. They have not returned Expedia's calls, and it has been two days (the manager apparently doesn't work before 3:00 PM, which is itself a little crazy to me). I will update this review if they resolve the situation. At this point, I would advise strongly against booking with them. The customer service is terrible, and I'm puzzled that anyone can stay there right now in light of the smell (it needs ventilation until whatever the chemical smell is has dissipated).

This is a wonderful place to stay. Dave and Pierre at the front desk are awesome along with the housekeeping and breakfast staff! We have stayed here twice and have recommended to family and friends. A must when visiting the French Quarter!

Friendly, helpful staff. Smaller rooms but exactly what we needed. Half a block from Bourbon Street, which ended being really convenient. If you're planning on walking back and forth throughout the trip, it's really expedient. Heated pool in a private courtyard. The courtyard has plenty of seating to relax and hang. Bar in the lobby with reasonable happy hour from 4-7. Booked this hotel twice, 5 years apart, on separate trips. I'll stay again. Came once with just my wife, and second time with another couple. No adjoining rooms, but close enough.

Perfect location! Just off Bourbon Street but close to the beautiful government building and police station. Wonderful rooms and restful courtyard.

This hotel had everything that I was looking for, great staff, great location, great atmosphere, delicious complimentary continental breakfast, clean rooms, and did I mention… Great location! My only reason for the four stars is that I paid extra ($50 per night) to have a room with a balcony facing the street, however I did not get to enjoy my balcony due to the loud construction each day. I wish I would have been told that construction would be going on as I would have chosen a different room. Even with that being said I will definitely be staying at this hotel again! I highly recommend it!

Nice hotel in the French Quarter only 1000 ft away from Bourbon St. The hotel has a nice patio with banana trees.

The location is great. Right beside Bourbon Street have, but far away enough to avoid the noise. There are good restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, the pool is the perfect temperature, and the FREE continental breakfast is really good.

This is a beautiful hotel. I was there for a wedding that was held near their pool, and every single part of the hotel was beautiful without being overdone. The room I was in had a bathroom that was on the small side, but the room itself was very nice, the bar and lobby are clean and decorated well, and the poolside area is cool and well-appointed also. Staff were attentive and courteous, before, during, and after the wedding ceremony.

We really liked this boutique hotel. Very clean room with a comfortable bed, nice bar and outdoor courtyard pool. All of this in the middle of the French Quarter.

It's great! We had booked one night but decided to stay one more. We were able to upgrade to a room with a balcony — apparently these rooms can only be booked through the hotel itself otherwise. Room is overlooking the pool area which is great since you can't hear the noise from the street here. Road works blocked the street upon arrival so we parked in a valet parking spot a few streets away – I think this is a bit cheaper than the 36 dollars the hotel charges (also valet parking, across the street).
Pool area is perfect to relax in after busy sightseeing!
Bourbon Street is literally around the corner.
Complimentary breakfast is really good, including scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, different kind of juices, coffee, tea and lots of other things.

Excellent staff. When my flight was cancelled by the airlines went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable place. Perfect location between royal and Bourbon Street.

Currently staying here, this place is UNREAL, location is perfect, round the corner from Bourbon Street, so you are where the action is but can't hear it, the staff from reception to housekeeping and the other teams are polite, happy to see you, and willing to bend over backwards for you, it is always noted how the staff treat people and some people aren't quick enough to give positive feedback, well massive THANK YOU! You have all been fantastic… the rooms are perfect, this hotel is a hidden gem of the French Quarter location is spot on.

Conveniently located in the French quarter, this hotel is one block away from Burbon street! There is a Bar in the hotel called VIVE, but honestly you can get better drinks if you just walk Burbon st. There is a small saltwater pool in th a courtyard, and the entire hotel is smoke free (even in the courtyard) staff is friendly, but the rooms are small. It is fairly priced, for such a central location. I rated 3 stars due to the room size, and the rude bartender they have.

Great smaller hotel. FREE water and FREE breakfast. It's a nice way to save money. The hotel is clean and close to the action, but quiet enough to relax.

Nice, clean hotel located 1/2 a block from Bourbon Street, Free quality breakfast every morning (eggs, sausage bacon etc) Excellent service at hotel bar from Olga through out the trip. Only complaint was our rooms had no view, literally facing a wall/tree. Pool is rather small.

This is one of the best kept secrets of the French Quarter, I like to go here, and use the bar, before dinner or after dinner, its the most clean, pristine, well managed, cocktail venues in the City.

This is going to sound very superficial, but the only qualm I had with this gorgeous hotel was no pretty purple pillows on our beds, like the ones I'd seen in the photos on the website. Otherwise, I loved my stay here! It is a perfect hideaway from the hustle and bustle of the more gaudy and trendy hotels, with droves of people in and out. It felt as if we were in our own private getaway in our suite, which had a balcony where we could see lots of "interesting" things below, just steps from Bourbon street. The bed was extra comfy, and the bath robes were a pleasure to snuggle in, after a nice hot shower. We did not get a chance to enjoy the saltwater pool, as it rained for the duration of our stay, but the bartender, a very nice and pretty young lady, made up for it in her friendliness. Drinks were AWESOME! As if the ambiance, and hospitality weren't enough, we received a serious discount on our room because it was not the one I'd wanted, over the courtyard. Can't complain.
