Beautiful and quiet property! Service is great as well.

Our entire trip was clouded by the amount of issues we had to deal with. For the level of hotel W is supposed to represent I am truly appalled. First the hotel tried to run our card for $800 OVER the hotel bill. Yes, we understand a $200 incidental hold, but not $800. Then when we went to check in they apologized and said it would only be $800 total or the hotel fee. They repeated the two charges and held $3007 for a $2200 bill. We then made our way to our room to take a nap since traveling, only to be woken up by loud drilling and construction happening to the rooms next to ours. When I called the front desk to find out what was going on they offered a $50 champagne bottle for the inconvenience. (We already had one in our room, so no that was not acceptable. ) We we’re told they would credit us $150 and that construction would not occur through the weekend so we opted to stay in our room which we selected due to the balcony view of the French quarter. Fast forward the next morning and we were woken up again by construction. When I called down to the front desk again we were told that the information we received was incorrect and they would relocate us. Which we were not happy with. If you are going to do construction on rooms (especially during a busy weekend during Mardi Gras) you should shut down the entire surrounding rooms from booking. While I was on the phone with the front desk manager a worker/cleaning staff walked into our room without knocking.

Only staff that was ever polite and nice were the Valet guys. Called housekeeping for towels and we didn’t get them until we called back down the following evening. The first room they put us in was disgusting, the mattress was horribly stained etc. They did put us in another room but the mattress sunk in the middle and was very uncomfortable. Would not recommend staying here and we certainly wouldn’t go back.

The hotel is very outdated and is in need of up dating and severe cleaning! The house keeping staff is just horrible! The front desk staff is all over the place from polite to rude!
We called before arriving to confirm the amenities in the “Wonderful” room we had reserved … I had asked if there was a frig or just a mini bar … I was told there was a mini bar and a cooler… there was just a mini bar… a second mini frig was brought to our room that looked as though it was from 1970 and bees thrown down the stairs a few times and it took a while day to get cold
I also asked if there was a keurig in the room that used K cups I was told yes … it is not … it is a nespresso!
We came back to our room after a day of fishing and the only thing the house keeping did was drop off was towels… they did not make the bed. Clean the bathroom or bathroom! They did however remove the towels we had hanging … ya know not on the floor and took those along with my personal hair towel!

We were there as a group… they did a buffet brunch one morning … frozen then heated sausage was served … pre bought store pastries … no mimosas or bloody Mary’s
No potatoes, toast. No servers … we had 20 people … just one busser and a pay bar that we had to get up to go to the other room to … total crap!

Absolutely delightful. The best drinks.

First off, had to call the hotel after waiting at an empty front desk at check in. A concrete floor would have been better to sleep on than the bed. The shutters don’t block the light from the court yard, so the room was light up all night. As an elite member of Marriott, I Do NOT recommend this hotel.

I was extremely displeased with my stay this past weekend at the W hotel in the French quarter. I was greeted in a friendly matter by the employee frank and the visit started off pleasant. When I arrived in my room and unpacked, I saw that it was a very large cockroach in the bathroom. I got guest services and was moved to a different room. The second room, had mold in the sink, dust everywhere, dingy linen and a lumpy bed from not being made properly. At this point of frustration I called Marriott customer service to complain. I was instructed that a general manager would call me in the morning. That never happened. When I notice that I had never received a call as told, I called the front desk myself expressing that I was expected to hear from GM. I was connected to Debbie, an employee at the W. Debbie perhaps was once of the most rude and also passive aggressive staff I’ve ever talked to. Debbie informed me that because I was on a friends and family discount that I should not complain. When I asked if I should not get the same room standards as other guest, Debbie was very rude and eventually told me that they double check rooms and ensures that all rooms are clean. I reminded Debbie that I told picture of the room conditions to show that I was not lying about the situation. Debbie talked to me in a very demeaning manner. I decided that I would be checking out of the hotel early, Sunday instead of Monday because of how I was treated.

We checked in here on the 29th February and stayed for 3 nights. Debbie was on the front desk and she was the best welcome to The W and to New Orleans! She gave us a bottle of champagne which we immediately drank on our balcony.
We loved the courtyard. The front and back balconies. The pool was heated to a good temperature. We kindly had Alba get us a “ pot of tea “. Thank you for that. I’ve stayed at many W hotels but this one was the most romantic.

Pool was not clean, the tile surrounding the pool was oily to the touch and hair floated in the water, the rooms are very dark, even with all the lights on and the windows open.

Super staff, good food, and really neat design of the rooms. Bathrooms are a little small but it’s a historic building so it’s great in that regard! Staff though is amazing top to bottom.

The W is the ideal place for everyone … Great entertainment, staff go and beyond to help you, not to mention location is out of this world.

We had an amazing stay at the W New Orleans this past week. The staff at this hotel is simply fantastic. We were greeted by Bourne on our arrival who made sure we were happy with our room and organized for my husbands tradeshow that week. He was an awesome host and the members of his staff were just as helpful and kind. Elijah at the W concierge desk is a must on your trip! Maritza also gave us awesome advice on where to go and what to do ❤️
The restaurant on site Sobou is de…licious and their staff is equally fantastic: We had the best service from NeNe and Tina! Their brunch on Sunday Mornings (legs and eggs) is fabulous and One of the best meals I had on this trip. The hotel itself has a beautiful indoor courtyard that felt like home on this trip. We spent many nights sipping a delicious cocktail by the fountain ⛲️.
I want to thank all of them for such an amazing trip and how special they made it for us. We will be back to this hotel for sure, it’s location in the heart of the French quarter just adds to all the above. I have nothing but love for the W New Orleans hotel — Thanks Bourne and all your staff for all the great memories you helped us create. P. S. They have happy hour from 3-6 with the best snacks and Prosecco!

Lots to see and do, no shortage of food, entertainment and people watching and everyone is so friendly.

This hotel is an absolute oasis in the heart of the French Quarter. The staff are incredible, the bar is great, the courtyard lovely… the rooms … everything about this place is wonderful. If you want to stay in the middle of everything — without feeling the negative impact of it — this is your hotel for sure!

Beautiful property in the middle of the french quarter, 2 blocks away from Bourbon st and steps from restaurants, bars, stores and more. The pool is beautiful, clean and cool, there was a dj at noon and make it look so chic. Modern lobby and awesome host, they were trained good. Love the place, really pricey on weekends and special events but worth it.

Good location and nicer amenities but service isn’t great. I’ve called the “Whatever, Whenever” line 5 times with no answer. Perhaps it should be renamed “Maybe, Sometimes”? Similarly the concierge line goes unanswered. Only decaf coffee in the rooms and with the restaurant not open until 7am it’s more than a little frustrating. SoBou staff is ok: not rude but could be more pleasant for sure. Pool is small but nice and the rooms are minuscule.

My fiancé and I always book the W when we travel (Miami, Chicago, etc) and it’s always amazing. The Nola/french quarter W Hotel is okay. The staff are great as are the people of New Orleans, amazing souls. And location is perfect, you’re in the heart of the french quarter close walking distance to all the places to visit. But the hotel itself was lacking a bit of the W hotel brands standard. It wasn’t as clean or well maintained, and the air circulation wasn’t great. Also the one disappointment with staff was that we weren’t able to get in touch with anyone from the room to get toiletries. Not huge deal breakers. But just not at par with other W hotels. Location wise — 100% recommend this hotel.

This was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. I paid for a king size room but this is not what I received. The room was very small and the bed set in the middle of the room. You had to walk around the bed to look out of the window or go to the bathroom. The pillows were flat and the carpet was dirty. I was afraid to let my bare foot touch the carpet. To make matters worse 1/3 of the walls were painted black. I asked for two days to change rooms and was told no and they had no one to clean the room I was in even though I had only been in the room two hours. The next day they said they had no room available. I will never stay at the W again.

We arrived at midnight and I asked about this gorgeous swimming pool etched in the dark trees and illuminated with red light. I was pleased to find out it was open 24-7. Across from it a fire pit burned. I couldn’t get over the beautiful decor! The room, the amazing courtyard, this hotel was just bliss! After swimming a few laps, I climbed on top of this floating seahorse and just looked up at the stars. At that moment, I fell in love with New Orleans… and W! I’ve been to a lot of hotels, but this one may be my new favorite! I’ll definitely be back!

Our first splurge to stay in New Orleans. We wanted to to be nice — it was FAR from that. Our first night in our room smelled like poop, but seriously that’s what it smelled like. We waited to see if maybe it would pass hoping someone just went to the bathroom before checking us in?. The next day we had our room changed and we were out between a party of two rooms — EXTREMELY loud guests.
We couldn’t even sleep in because the maids cleaning were so loud in the rooms next to us every day! DO NOT STAY HERE. Wish I hadn’t given them a penny!

Went to the pool for an afternoon. Service is available at the pool (from a super friendly server). You can also sit at the bar inside, right next to the pool, where you can get really good cocktails. The bar was busy, but the tender was efficient and friendly. Would highly recommend heading there with friends or family.

Stopped by for their weekend pool passes. The passes came with two drinks and was a great value! Unfortunately the pool is very small, thus the 4 star review. Everything about the experience was great though, the drinks were delicious, and the courtyard is gorgeous!

Clean. Decent size rooms. Modern decor that feels a little tacky, but fine for a vacation. Warning: this hotel is very loud. If you’re a light sleeper, you might not get a lot of sleep past 7am as you can easily hear every door on floor slam shut.

The restaurant is beautiful and classy. The food was delicious but a bit pricey. I had the fried quail and it was very tender. Very much enjoyed my time in the restaurant. I did not spend the night in the hotel.

Be aware! Pics are really deceiving and this hotel is very cheap looking and gloomy in reality. This hotel is way overpriced compared to the other options in the French quarter area for the same price range. I actually stayed in some other hotels in the area and the experience can not even be compared. I have nothing against the staff. They were courteous and nice but this property needs serious improvement. Overall, I feel like being cheated by the online pictures.

At first, our stay at the hotel was nice. Then, on the second day of our stay, we went out expecting that when we come back, our room will be clean. We called the front desk and requested that our room be cleaned. We again left to walk around the city. When we came back, our room still wasn't clean. In total, we asked the front desk 3 times to clean our room. This comes to show that the staff's communication is not that strong. The furniture otherwise was clean.

If you are able and American come and enjoy the culture here. It can be rough but totally worth it. Alcoholic Disney World so keep water handy. During the day southern hospitality a real thing. Just be safe at night if venturing during dark times. You will never forget it, and it is a truly American experience. Cheers!

Great hotel in a great location. Must do the Legs and Eggs Brunch. Wait staff are superb, accommodating and friendly. Great bar, with designer dribks. Hunter and Jared are entertaining bar tenders. Definitely coming back.

Great hotel to be at in the French quarter! The evening manager Jeff is amazing and will take care of you! Quick Walking distance to all French quarter attractions but far enough away that you’re not on top of bourbon street. I can see how people have an issue with internal hotel noise as the walls are a little thin, but we were there in off-peak season so we didn’t experience any noise issues at all. Concierge really does point you to great local restaurants, trust them!

This hotel has been amazing! Through a very long story our wedding that was supposed to take place in NYC happened in NOLA. The W New Orleans treated us like royalty for our last minute wedding. Whatever/Whenever is so helpful and even helped us find a bouquet last minute. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is amazing. And SOBU is incredible. We plan to come back every year for our anniversary and won’t stay anywhere but here!

The room was very nice. Great decor and great scenery. I wish they did not have tempting items in the room as well as I wish they did have a microwave in the room.

Walls are paper thin; I can hear the neighboring room when anyone takes a piss. I can hear the neighbors on the other side yell at their screaming kid. My room had a balcony facing the courtyard/pool, and they play loud ass music with deep bass well past midnight. They don't give you new soaps/lotions every day as most hotels do. Our room had 4 pillows… 1 king size pillow and 3 regular sized pillows in king sized cases… a little awkward. No counter space for anything; in fact, they out the magnifying light up mirror on the floor of the closet. Also, no full length mirror, and the fridge makes this weird ticking noise… all the time. Overall… meh. It is definitely a great location with great staff. I would not recommend this place to light sleepers.

Great place to stay and the staff is professional. Perfectly placed in the French Quarter, and the courtyard is absolutely beautiful. It’s close to Cafe Beignet — highly recommend — and in walking distance of everything in the quarter.

Beautiful little boutique hotel in perfect location… But our room had no sound proofing at all… Heard everything upstairs and next door… Bummer.

The hotel overbooked and had to transfer us to a different hotel for our first night there. They paid for the transfer but it was very inconvenient to have to move hotels. They did give us a voucher to make up for it which we never ended up using. The rooms were nice but small. When we first got to our room we were missing the TV remote control so had to request a new one. The staff is very nice and did treat us very well. The location is great. It's walking distance to just about everything.

We stayed on the second floor with a corner balcony and I never wanted to leave. Yes the room flooded when we got rain but the staff had made sure to dry the carpet. We were gifted a lovely bottle of Prosecco and a delicious Pineapple fruit dish for our honeymoon stay. As well as a gift card for free drinks at the hotel bar. The location is perfect for visiting the French quarter. Just be aware that Wi-Fi is not free and the food/drinks are expensive but the staff make it all worth it. We would 100% stay here again.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay when in New The carriage house suites are roomy and affordable, with two balconies. Gorgeous courtyard and pool area. The staff is second to none! I've stayed in hotels that are three times the price and have t received the level of care that I receive every time I stay here. And the restaurant, SOBU — — exquisite. Delicious good, great bartenders. If you're considering this place, just book the room.

Amazing and friendly staff in a lovely small boutique hotel in the French Quarter. If you are used to the other huge properties in the W brand, this is very different. Lots of personal attention, quiet and beautiful. Great intimate pool and courtyard. Our king room on the fifth floor was pretty huge with an interesting design. Shawn, Elijah, Rahim, Tia, Lauren and so many others made our visit special.

Ruined our trip. My wife and I had booked a room for 3 nights. We booked the "Fabulous King Room with Balcony" — — 26 days in advance and paid $1, 076. We flew from Austin TX and when we traversed the city and finally got to the hotel they had sold the room to someone else and had nothing but a cheap room in the back of the hotel next to the janitor's closet. No notifications, no phone calls and no explanation. The staff was unprofessional and mean and the manager did nothing to help us and said "Due to unforeseen circumstances we no longer have your room available. " They still have not refunded our money either.

Awesome hotel staff, worked well with the company I work for and happened to be decadence which I've never attended. But over all nice room and nice people.

Stayed here before Shawn was the bomb of an assistant! Romms are cozy and contemporary, pool area as well. Highly recommend.

Went down to celebrate the Red Dress Run and it was quite the experience! Enjoyed the people, the energy and the great food / drink. Had a blast.

The price was expensive but worth it if your a tourist trying to experience New Orleans. Its clise to everything andif you go on the weekend, you don't got to worry about the parking meters until Monday. Only downfall is no complementary breakfast, but there's tons of great places nearby walking distance to eat. The balcony was awesome, got to hear jazz all night from my location and that slight murmur of the late night city life. Bed was great, bathroom was well decorated. The heated pool was nice and the smell of the place was pleasant. I advise booking here if you got the funds to do so.

Small boutique hotel cheaply remodeled with what seems to be IKEA type furniture and accessories with high end hotel room rates. No shower caps, lotion or water bottles. Not any thing compared to any other W hotels I've stayed at. This place seems to be perfect for bachelor partiers looking for a place where they can crash after a long night of drinking. Somewhat trashy. We paid $$ for an upgraded room and they checked us into a tiny New York size hotel room. Other much nicer hotels for lower price. My husband never complains but even he was disappointed.

I have stayed at the W hotel south beach before and I absolutely was obsessed. So I decided to stay at a W hotel for my New Orleans trip. Lets just say it is no where near what south beach was like. The customer service wasn't good. The room I got was super tiny! And it lacked toiletries. The ceilings felt like it was going to fall on me. There wasn't enough lighting in the rooms at all. So I can barely see when I was putting on make up. The rooms really need a good update. I gave it 2 stars for location. It was about 2-3 blocks from bourbon st.

Always something going on. Touristy things on the main street near Jackson Square. A block or two away is where the real treasures are if you like to happen upon new things.

A little quirky, but friendly staff and half reasonable prices. Parking is murder though.

The rooms were nice and everyone was friendly. My problem is with billing. We booked our room through Hotwire. After we checked out, my credit card was billed $99. I called and asked why. They said it was an error on their part and I would be refunded the money as soon as possible. Well it has been 8 days and I just got refunded HALF. When I called to talk to someone, they said that their billing department was closed on the weekends and I would need to call back on Monday. I budgeted for our vacation and this delay in getting my money back and having to watch my account daily is really putting a dent in things. I am very disappointed with how they are handling this situation.

Very spacious rooms, friendly staff. Great location, relatively quiet part of French quarter. Wi-Fi and parking are expensive, but in line with other French quarter hotels.

Pleasantly located in walking distance of many of New Orleans attractions. The courtyard provided a perfect location to relax. The rooms could use better sound proofing. I could hear everything going on outside of my room.

Drove 10 hours to find out the The Hotel St Marie lost our reservation. Night clerk was great! He got us in our room in 10 minutes and loved the room. Better location too! Will be coming back!

Manager William Stout quite literally laughed at me when explaining I am terminally ill. All I was asking for was a meal voucher for Christmas because the hotel accidentally double charged me and I have a negative bank balance until they fix it… next week after I check out.

Rooms and service were not up to par for the level of hotel. One room was very out of date and tacky. There was no coffee in the rooms. When we first got there, they gave us keys to someone else's room. Did not turn back clocks for daylight savings before giving us keys to the room, but left us a reminder to do it ourselves. Otherwise, rooms were clean and the valet was prompt and courteous. Location was very convenient.

If any of you guys are looking for dirt cheap hotel deals I would check out HotelRaven. Com I saved a ton of money using that site. Couldn't take a shower because they had bacteria in water. He had to bath and brush teeth in bottle water. The whole time there. The overall hotel was beautiful and the stuff was very nice.

The positive reviews must be fake here. Nice employees but overcharges and management is never available to deal with any issues.

Great Hotel! Perfect location in the French Quarter, the staff is always gracious and very accommodating.

Wish we would have stayed here the whole time. My girlfriend's sister and brother-in-law recommended this hotel after we'd spent two nights at the Ritz. Not to badmouth the Ritz Carlton, but the contrast was glaring, The French Quarter W was much better that any other W hotel I've experienced (while the New Orleans Ritz was a bit inferior to several other Ritz Carltons).

The location is nice, but the fumes from the new carpet and paint gave us both sinus problems. The furnishings are not as nice as other "W" hotels we have stayed at. The staff was friendly and helpful. Not worth the price.
