Amazing stay! clean, friendly staff. Was just passing through and got an affordable rate with a good nights sleep/ Great pool too! Will definitely remember this place.

If I could give negative stars I would. Our room was not ready. So the moved us to the 2nd floor which was a major problem as I am a double amputee in a wheelchair and there was no elevator. So I crawled up the stars with my children. My 13yr old daughter carried my wheelchair up for me. My 4 year old was excited and was skipping down the hall looking for our room when I was told by the house keeper to keep my child quiet and under control. This was at 4pm. When ready to leave we left our wet towels in the bathroom picked up our room and even took our trash out to the hall to the house keeper. I crawled down the stairs as my daughter carried my wheelchair back down. Did I mention no wheelchair access from parking lot to curb so again I crawled down one more step. Just as we were getting in our car a man came out screaming at us that he was charging us 50$ more because we did not clean our room. I was embarrassed and refused to crawl back up the steps to see what he was talking about. And said I would never stay there again. He said that " you and your kind are not welcome here" I wonder if my kind meant… Single mom… handicapped. Older woman… Biracial children… Overweight woman… Autistic child? Just what was that to mean? Will never go back … Never felt so humiliated in my life.

Canceled our room the day of check-in without notification and were extremely rude to us about it and would not help out at all or offer a solution. They had remodeled since the last time I was here in 2016, although the place looked in disrepair and now well taken care of. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

So my aunt, my brother, my sister, my brothers babysitter, and I went to Baymont for a gift. Well anyways my aunt lost both of her legs and we asked the front desk if we could have a room downstairs cause they put us in one upstairs anyways they said no. So my aunt andhad to crawl up the steps cause they don’t have elevators and I had to carry her wheelchair up the steps and we went downstairs many of times. They didn’t even ask if we needed help. Anyways when we got to our room the guy and girl who cleans the room said we needed to wait 10 mins for them to clean it so we did so. My baby brother that is 4 was very excited but when quiet. He went to another door and was just standing there while the guy came over and PUSHED my brother back to us. Then he said you need to keep the boy silent we have customers and then my aunt tried explaining to him that he is very excited and he has autism and the guy completely ignored her. Anyways they said we could go in the room. The room was small, hot, and the bathroom was really small too. Later in the day we found a BED BUD in our room but we thought it was an ant or something so we ignored it. The next day I left when my mom picked me up and then my aunt and my brothers babysitter cleaned the room / picked up the trash but didn’t think they had to make the beds.

At first appearance the renovations are nice and updated. After day three, my only complaint was going to be the molded shower curtain that made the bathroom smell, and the inoperative bathroom exhaust fan. Unfortunately, on day four my wife turned over in the bed only to find a bed bug crawling on my pillow. We called front desk, they came to remove the bed bug and offered to move us to another room. When asked if they had prior issues, the response was no, but personel quickly shared everything had just been replaced to avoid bed bugs. Needless to say, that was the end our stay with Baymont.

Comfortable beds, nice breakfast, wonderful service. We left a night early and we're not charged for it. Very knowledgeable about the area too!

I prepaid for the Baymont because of the pool for my daughter to use since our reason for stay was an unpleasant one that would be quite boring for an 8 year old. Upon arrival the pool was closed for cleaning but we were assured by the person at the desk that it would be open the next day. However the pool was not open the next day. It was open the 4th day of our stay. The water looked strangely cloudy near the light at the deep end. The hottub, as my daughter put it, smelled like a dirty fish tank. We didn't use it upon smelling. Our 5th and final day of our stay the pool was again closed. The breakfast was decent except for the day we went to eat halfway through the designated breakfast time and there was hardly anything left. We had a non-smoking room than had been smoked in and stunk like an ashtray. We ended up moving rooms because the heater didn't work. In our second I found that of every available outlet the bottom socket didn't work. This made charging our phones, tablets, and my laptop difficult along with adding to the overall negative appearance of the hotel. The cable TV channel lineup left in the room had probably 30 channels listed but only about 12 were available and they were what you would expect from over-the-air stations to be. The bathroom shower head liked to run half of the water out of the bottom straight down rather than spraying it out as it should. The bathtub had holes in it where the washcloth holding rod should have been.

Super rude, made us pay an extra 100$ just for one cig in a non-smoking room.

Wonderful and very helpful staff, breakfast fit for a king and all new furnishings. You will stay because you want to not because you have to. Tops on my list of bang for your bucks.

We never usually habe any problems, but are last stay was not very pleasant. Are bathroom was not clean. The sheets where dirty. I asked for a room closer too the stairs. My husband had a bad back. We where all the way down on the top floor.

Family owned, this place is clean, well maintained, and staffed by very friendly staff. During my week long visit, there was a minor incident with a device in my room which the staff immediately addressed to my satisfaction. Highly recommended and the price is right.

Rude! Refused to give deposit back, room had no damages! I was told not to go there, should have listened! I didn't want to give it any stars but have to to be able to post a review. The manager in no uncertain terms needs to learn some customer service skills.

I got a cheap room from here, was a little worried with the price, but I was amazed! This hotel was very clean, quiet, looked nice, but I think the best part was the pool and hot tub! Can't wait to go again!

Good location, decent price, Surprised at How absolutely beautiful the Lobby was Lijr stepping into a log cabin! The rooms were clean well and maintained good, free Wi-Fi, pool, safe in rooms, Free Breakfast was not to bad either. Pretty quiet. All in all one of the Best Hotels in Marshalltown I've stayed in.

This place is lucky I gave them 1 star. The desk clerk was completely rude to me. My company called in advance and paid with the corporate card. I had no reservation and she wanted me to pay plus put up a $100 security deposit. Didn't make it past the lobby so I can't comment anymore about this place.

No elevator to the second floor. Beautiful inside, but the breakfast area is very small, with only three tables. The food was good, though, and there was a good variety. Seems to be in a safe, quiet part of town. I have stayed here twice, and would again. The beds are amazingly comfortable! We saw someone with a dog, but not sure it is a "dog friendly" hotel! The rooms seem to be well insulated; I hardly heard any noise from other rooms. They have laundry facilities, a small workout room, and a pool/ hot tub indoors. Rooms are clean.

This the worst hotel I have every been around. To start it off I made reservations for two rooms for the 13th and the 14th and made them two weeks ahead of time. Then with out letting us know we drive seven hours to get to the hotel, to be told that are room had been canceled. And in the mean time it's 10.00 at night and we are seven hour a way from home with out a room now. Also they didn't even have another room to give us. So we had to go to another hotel. This is the most worst hotel I have ever dealt with. Also the people are the most Rudis I have ever dealt with.

THIEFS! DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! I gave my credit card information to reserve my room. When I got here to check to in, I was told that my card would NOT be charged as I was NOT sure how many days I would be staying. I went to go check out the room I was given, was offered to stay with a relative in town for the weekend. Checked out after not being there 5 minutes my card was charged TWICE! $89.59 and $80.00 when I didn't even stay! I talked to the manager about this he will NOT refund my card! This is THEFT! I did NOT Authorize my card to be ran at any time! Disgusting how I have been treated during a distressing time! UNPROFESSIONAL!

Good rooms. Happy to see the little dining table, mini fridge and microwave in my room. Nothing spectacular but great for the price. Breakfast was nice and complimentary!

Needed a place last minute as we were traveling, staff was wonderful. We have five service dogs that travel with us and one stepped in some goog in the parking lot that had to be cut off his fur. (My dogs are groomed everyday) The room did have a smell and my dogs did sniff couple places esp one sticky spot on rug. I am particular about smells and cleanliness so I give it a 4 on that. Did NOT see any bugs. Linens and towels smelled fresh.

Adequate room. Pleasant staff. Good price. A little lacking in amenities, but not a deal breaker. Near major roadways, so very convenient.

Staff is friendly and nice. For the price I was hoping for something a bit more modern. Looks very nice on the outside but the rooms are very dated. The slip resistant strips in my shower were peeling up and it looked very unpleasant.

My family really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and nicer than many of the other hotels in town. All the staff we asked questions or spoke with were kind and informative. Myself​, my husband, and our daughter enjoyed the pool very much! There was a safe, microwave, and mini fridge in our room, which are not available at all hotels. Very reasonable price for the room as well. Beautiful foyer and breakfast area right when you walk in; it's very welcoming and comfortable from the time you walk in to the time you leave. I definitely recommend visiting here if you're traveling and need to stop off for the night or if you just want a day or two away from home!

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendlier than another hotel that I have had experience with in Marshalltown and helpful. There was a decent variety of breakfast items. We used the Wi-Fi while there which functioned flawlessly. The price was appropriate. It was quiet at night. I would recommend staying at this hotel and I would stay at this hotel again.

My kid and I stayed there overnight. Service was great. Our room was quiet and clean. Breakfast was just what we needed in the morning. Overall a great hotel stay.
