Always a friendly welcome since I’ve been coming here. My extended family lives in a nearby small town and this location is very accessible.

Did our research before going to Marshalltown for a wedding and found that this hotel had the better reviews. Very glad we made the right decision to stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an immensely friendly front desk attendant, named Allison. We felt we were in good hands and that everything would be taken care of. Went to our room and immediately turned the air down because it was a hot weekend. The air worked great and didn’t freeze you out like some places. Then we scurried down to the pool. This is as the highlight of our stay. A clean, non-toxic experience to help relax. Hot tub and pool were wonderful. For a one nights stay, we visited the pool 3 times. Exquisite! Within walking distance of Culver’s which is where we had a afternoon meal-ish. Culver’s had an ornery lady working there, but I digress. Our room was a bit bare for furniture, but we really didn’t need much. Others may find that annoying. The walls had some stains on them, but other than that the room was immaculate. Bed was a bit firm for our liking, but everything can’t be perfect. Breakfast was our only let down. It was adequate, but we’ve had better continental breakfasts. The food was very processed and the fruit was weird. Yogurt was good and waffles were good. There wasn’t any regular syrup and only sugar free that ruined the waffles for me. Everything was chemically. Pretty good stay.

After a horrible experience at the hotel across the street canceling our room the day of check-in without notification, Hampton had one room available and they were so polite and helpful. The facility is clean and the staff is so nice and polite. Definitely recommend Hampton Inn & Suites. Will be staying here from now on whenever in town.

After Baymont Inn & Suites cancelled our room, we stopped over to see if they had one. We got the last room thankfully and Stephanie took such good care of us. From now on we will be staying here every year when we're in town!

Beautiful clean and comfortable hotel. Ms. Jeanette in breakfast room is so… sweet.

Nice place and friendly staff. Pool area was very nice and lots of space to enjoy.

Hotel is average. Room was sparse, not even a couch. TV was fine, iron and board we're fine. Everything was average.

Good location at the South edge of Marshalltown. Room was clean and spacious, if a bit sparse. No couch/pull out bed in the single king room. Bathroom was spacious. Overall quite nice.

Off the beaten path location is nice. Very quiet. But I did expect room to have fridge and microwave.

Everything was clean and the service was friendly. I would stay there again. The only issue I had was some parts of the building looked old and needed to be replaced.

The staff and facility were great. The staff accommodated an early check in and even helped get my luggage to my room as I was running behind for a meeting. My room was not quite done being cleaned and they helped me get checked anyway. Mobile check in process was easy and efficient. Room was nice and comfortable. Noise form outside form minimal. Great location with easy Highway access. Good visibility. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked.

It is a place where you see it from the street but the entrance is somewhat hidden so it is very quiet to rest.

Place charges you $40 extra for a night, staff was seemingly clueless about their own job. The first thing is the door wouldn't shut on it's own like most do, you have to push it fairly hard. Don't expect to bring any left overs into the room with you due to no mini fridge. The access road is a confusing mess of pavement that goes completely around where you think you should go. Decor is nice and pillows are okay. But I will not be coming back. Id rather save the extra $80 and stay at the Super 8 50ft away.

Overall it was a very good night of sleep for me followed by a good breakfast. Regarding the reviews that dock the hotel for being difficult to find, the key is to turn just west of Casey's General Store — that is the road that will lead you to the hotel. Once you have that down, the location is an asset.

This is a good hotel, it is clean and the staff are polite. They really care that your stay is pleasant and are quick try to help including restaurant recommendations. The fitness room has treadmills, elliptical machine and exercise bikes as well as dumbbells that range from five to fifty pounds. They have a pool and hot tub but I have not used either of those. The breakfast is good it has selections to meet most tastes. I would recommend this place to a friend.

Breakfast was decent. Heavy room doors that will slam loudly, so please hold slowly while closing. You may need to ask for more towels if there are more than one guest/room. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

BEWARE! Hotel charges you another day if you check out early ($140)! I had a reservation for 3 days but only needed to stay 1 day — I was charged for another day although I checked out at 7 am! This is a very crooked way to do business and in my 18 years of travel, I've never had a hotel charge me for checking out early. Not showing up is another story which I deem as fair. I will NEVER frequent their hotel again. The hotels response was, "We have the right to charge for early checkout. " True, and I have the right to go to the competition. There is a new Holiday Inn Express being build next door. They will get my business. There is too much competition to be dishonest. Also, called corporate and I received no return call from hotel manager as was promised.

Was upgraded to a suite and had a great experience.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my years of travelling. Oh the problems where to start… Biggest safety issue of all is they have a major gas leak on their meter, which they are not doing anything about… They have known for weeks… The rooms don't even have a fridge or microwave, and the AC units are very annoying when the fan keeps cycling on and off, disrupting sleep. Don't bother wasting your money here. I will NEVER come back to a Hampton.

Clean room, good breakfast.

This is by far the cleanest hotel I've stayed in in a long time, as you walk the hallways to your room there is a pleasant clean smell all around you. The beds are comfortable and the folks in the reception area were friendly and helpful. Really good variety for breakfast and coffee 24x7. If I am in the area again I will stay here. Bravo!

Nice place, everything is clean and orderly. The TV was kinda screwy but it ended up working fine. The front desk was super helpful for when I needed to use some amenities.

New hotel great breakfast but for Marshalltown, Hampton or no Hampton there is still mildew in the shower.

Nice place. Spotlessly clean and roomy. Good beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Terrible slow Wi-Fi.
