Wonderful hotel. We’ve stayed here before and they’ve never failed us. Quick easy check in. Rooms and beds are cozy. Front desk is amazing with great attitudes.

Nothing worked at this hotel and they are pitifully understaffed. Two of three elevators were out of service, the Wi-Fi wasn’t working, the pool was closed because that was broken and the AC in my room wasn’t working. No one at the front desk answers the phone and no one seems to care about customer experience! I’m a Diamond member and have been for several years and this might be the worst run Doubletree in the US! Avoid at all costs.

Terrible this company doesn’t care about their customers and will give your room away with out warning and refuse to correct their mistake. Including the Wesley the Manager.

The hotel rooms, lobby, conference room was very filthy! carpet was not cleaned, tub in bathroom was unclean just filthy! I will never come back to this hilton or any other because the ones I stayed in are judt filthy and outdated! the bdes need new mattresses because they sink directly in the middle! terrible experience 😪😡😡😡

I recommend this location be shut down immediately they have mold in the hallways the staff is extremely rude no towels to accommodate guests no air in rooms elevator motion censors are defective witnessed man putting hid hand in doors to reopen the doors never reopened locked in man's hand my Aunties can was used to release his hand the cane was stuck. I don't recommend this hotel for staying it needs to be shut down immediately.

Had a fully paid reservation that we confirmed for a late arrival while driving 5 hours this afternoon. “Manager” at desk stated they had no more clean rooms and refused us our stay. Thanks a lot!

Only one elevator. It was really hot in the building outside of your room. Toilet, bathtub & sink was backed up. Had to wait a whole day for a refrigerator. The pool was not in working condition. First time experiencing this with Double Tree…

Extremely bad on many levels. Our annual women's conference guests were extremely displeased with the hotel. Customer service was horrible; Front desk person rude, requested a change to ADA room but not given, bar/lounge poorly staffed, no assistance provide to have car moved (blocking guests' car), management unavailable. Accommondation in numerous rooms unsatisfactory; inadequate towels, sewer backup, no heat, given soiled blanket, banquet halls no heat, lights went out (no backup), an elevator sporadically inoperable, ice machine not working, peeling ceiling in tub. Food served undercooked and cold, overall subpar. Issue address with management after the event but patronizing and insulting.

Always great rooms and close to my work.

Air conditioning was not working throughout building, only one elevator working with many people waiting 10+ minutes for one to arrive to find it full, escalators not working, only one bath towel given per room for 4 people, elevator in parking garage is scary!

Everything that could be broken was broken. From elevators, to escalators, to AIR CONDITIONING, on 95° days. Hallways were full of garbage and old towels. It was a nightmare.

2 of the 3 Elevators were broken, they ran out of towels for the guests. Beds are small, they ran out of refrigerator and microwaves…. I won’t stay here unless I have to.

Cold everywhere you go… they have a indoor pool that has no heat, the room is 60 degrees! The room is freezing literally my drinks are setting in the window Staying cold who needs a fridge in your room… The staff is rude. Breakfast oh my gosh let’s get started on the breakfast I had two young children one had a piece of bacon they charge me full price for a buffet breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel.

I use this hotel for both events and overnight stays. This hotel and the new designs are absolutely amazing. As soon as you walk in — you are taken away by the decor. Can’t wait to see what it looks like when the rooms are remodeled!

It was cleaned, its location is in the center of all kinds of stores, business & Express way. Tellers & employees carry themselves respectful & professional.

The beautiful lobby is incredibly misleading. Guest room was disgusting. Paint peeling off of the ceiling, hair in the bathtub, very dingy and overall unappealing. Mini fridge by request. "Balcony " was a joke. Not a very good representation of the Hilton brand.

This hotel is beautiful, children love it, wife loves it. I never found one person that gave us a bad attitude or even rude, everyone keeps a smile and very helpful. If you get to meet Alex he is one of the best, like he has been with the company for years, he truly makes you feel like the hotel is your second home! I've come to this hotel for the past 4 years when we take our trip to Chicago once a year!

From a DJs point of view… I was there planning and coordinating for a September wedding and I have worked there in the past. Their staff is amazing. The venue is amazing and just an amazing place to host your next event. I definitely recommend this place for your neck event.

The outside looks luxurious but the inside is like a cheap hotel 6.

Facility was great, food was excellant, our room was very nicr.

Great service! However-the hot tub was very disappointing. It barely works. Front desk staff and housekeeping were awesome. The parking lot had food all over it-needs cleaned. I would suggest paying just as much attention to the outside and your amenities as the rest of the hotel. Would still recommend!

We had the marriage reception here. Banquet Room was great, but the rest was below par. Very poor communication between the hotel staff. People are overworked with not enough staff. Had a personal speaker disappear with no trace, constantly chasing after the staff for answers was frustrating. Manager doesnt feel necessary to call back customer after they committed. Honeymoon suite is just a larger Hampton Inn room. Compared to the welcome they provided in a honeymoon suite, I feel more way more welcome and comfortable in a king size room at Marriott Will avoid having any event here or staying there. Again, riverside banquet room was very good.

Awesome hotel. Free parking and right across the street from the mall. The location is very good, close by to lots of things. Inside the hotel has a nice atrium. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I would recommend the balcony rooms facing the mall which will give you a glimps of Chicago's skyline!

Zero stars We were hear for a wedding. Water damage in bathroom ceiling with mold. Water in hallway carpet. No fans on wet carpet. Breeding ground for mold. The fire alarm when off everyone in the lobby area were escorted outside. Definitely understandable safety first. When all fire trucks left we were not allowed in for some time. No other part of the hotel was evacuated. We were advised alarm was in parking garage. The wedding was a good time, but with all other circumstances we checked out and we did not stay the night. I was advised I will receive a full refund. Do your self a favor and find another hotel.

A very nice place. Service was excellent. It would be a little nicer if the bar was a better set up. It’s too small and part of main traffic way. The pool was strangely located on second floor at the end of a hall of rooms. Definitely worth staying there.

Hotel was fine, not great, not bad. Just fine. I'm giving it 1 star because of the subsequent process dealing with their customer support and possible theft. After returning home, I realized I couldn't find a pair of earrings. I assumed I misplaced it among my things and let several weeks go by before calling to see if it had been left there. The hotel support is a classic example of throwing questions over the fence. I was transferred multiple times without ever talking to someone or even going to voicemail. Calls were dropped, and when I was finally able to leave a voicemail, it was a generic message without any information on WHO was receiving the message. I waited three days for a response, and finally called back. It was the same process. Someone even put me on hold, and then picked up talking away about a different person's problem. Once again, I was told to leave a voicemail on a generic voicemail. When 24 hrs passed without a callback, I tried again, and it was the same nonsense. I finally demanded to wait on hold while they tracked someone down to take care of it. In the end, I was told the jewelry was not there. But I'll be honest here, the amount of time that's passed without it turning up, the fact that I never wore them outside of the hotel during my stay, and this wretched customer service experience has me assuming it was stolen by a staff member. Don't stay here.

I'm staying here for a week with a coworker for work & I'm highly disappointed in this hotel. Not only did my room have an offputting smell when I first checked in, I could hear the elevator all night, & there weren't any towels when I went to take a shower. I asked to switch rooms & was hassled because the room is under my coworkers name (understandable) but was accommodated. Unfortunately, I started my period earlier then normal & wasn't prepared. I was told by staff that the hotel has no feminine products anywhere on premise. How is that possible!? That tells me you dont care about your female clientele as to not have something as simple as pads or tampons on premise. I wouldn't be as upset if I had transportation to run to a store, & wasn't hosting training sessions all day for a group of 20 professionals. Now, I'm forced to stuff toilet paper in my panties and pray that I get through the day until I can uber to a store. Thanks DoubleTree for showing that you don't care for your female customers! I will not be staying here in the future.

Friendly staff. Building is a bit tired but being renovated now. See these photos of the renovated lobby area. Convenient to many dining options in the nearby mall.

The room was clean but small. It did not have a fridge and the coffee maker was dated. There were no towels at all by the pool and after calling the front desk and being told that they would bring some it never happened. Breakfast bar left something to be desired especially with employee attitude. To top it off there was bass and music pumping VERY loudly late at the hotel that kept us up. My wife and I will not being staying here again nor will we advise anyone else to.

I've stayed here twice. Less than 30 minutes from airport and have experienced the hotel as a great venue for putting on a small conference (200 — 400). The staff at all levels is very responsive. And, the gym is well stocked for carido fans.

The rooms here are nice and clean. Seems a tad bit dated, but really in very good shape. The configuration of the bathroom is a little bit tight with the curved shower bar leaning out over the toilet, but not an issue overall. The staff is very friendly. Was here for a conference, and the facilities lended itself very well for that. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in a very expensive area. They provide a walnut chocolate chip cookie when you check in and shuttle service to many attractions in the area. The shuttle is by request and there is only one, so you may have to be flexible with your plans. The hotel is marketed as close to Chicago but it's easily 45 min outside and not near public transit which is tough if you're there on business. The rooms are clean and classic, but don't have some amenities that I'd expect at a high end hotel — no mini fridge or microwave in the room, for example, and the convenience shop on site wasn't 24/7. However, this hotel did have a nice gym and pool, and it's very close to the mall.

We needed a room around 2:30am and we rolled into this hotel last minute. They offered us a room for $169, then gave us the AAA discount down to $140 because it was so late, and in their words, "Its better to have the business than to leave the room empty. " Then they offered us free bottles of water and cookies and gave us two breakfast vouchers. Now that's customer service! Whoever the ladies were working the late late shift went above and beyond to make our last minute stay a pleasant one. The rooms were clean and comfy. Thanks very much!

I was there for a job training in the conference rooms. The conference room was nice and they kept us stocked with water, tea, coffee, and soda. The common lobby areas were nice and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean but frequently were running out of paper towels and soap in dispensers.

This is an older hotel and unfortunately the room I was in reflected that. Besides being somewhat on the small side, the bathroom was cramped between the door not opening fully which was super close to the toilet. The rooms are also temperature controlled and it was hot in the room and no matter how far I turned down the heat or tried to turn on the AC, warm hair was flowing in. Maintenance finally told me to open the windows as only heat worked in the winter. The sleep quality was good, staff I came into contact with were nice. Probably won’t return.

Nice room and good warm cookies. Nice area of Oak Brook and great service. The bed was very comfortable and the space roomy. Clean and it smelled clean, which is always a plus. Good customer service at Check in and out.

Great place for the price. About 8 miles to the Blue Line is you want to take the L Train to downtown. Lots of food places near by and a restaurant on the premises, though we didn't eat there. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Towels were scarce but probably could have gotten more had we bothered to ask. Suited our purposes just fine.

Great hotel to stay at. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The restaurant breakfast was good, and they had an omlet bar. The bar had a decent drinks selection, and the bar food was ok. There was a nice little shop in the hotel as well with lots of odds and ends you may need during your stay. I recommend staying at this location.

Excellent place for events.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner was great. The food is delicious there. The room was cozy. Large king size bed. Had a great time.

Rooms are very small. No mini fridge. Shower head hit my belly button. Upon check-in, the computers were not working, then instead of a $30 credit hold, they put a $200 hold on my card, not to mention being billed for the visit. I will say the rooms are very clean if that helps. The balcony is tiny, standing room for 2 at best. If I hadn't drove 7 hours, I would have went elsewhere which I rarely say about most Hilton locations.

Staff were friendly enough. We would have appreciated more availability with the shuttle service, as there are limited sidewalks and transportation options around. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the rooms were very comfortable! The breakfast was also a good value.

This hotel was very nice and clean. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. And the breakfast at the Atrium was delicious! The only thing I wished was that there was a full service Starbucks inside. I really missed my morning drink.

Rooms are just OK. Bathrooms are cramped. Beds are comfortable. There is a bar with good food and a small convience store. They had breakfast in the morning but there was a convention being held and so many people there that they had a wait to get a table so I skipped that. There are other nicer Hilton hotels close by so I will continue to stay in one of those in future trips.

I stayed here because I'm loyal to the brand and it's a little less-expensive than other hotels in the area. Now I know why. Take a look at the 2 photos I posted in the comments of the ice machine in the 7th floor vending area. If this is how they maintain things in public view, imagine what the kitchen and other non-public areas must look like… Also, there is no fridge in the rooms or even a microwave. And they charge you (even Diamond members) to have one brought up to th…e room. I call hotels like this "just a pig with lipstick", because it's clearly old and been remodeled, but only cosmetically. The bathrooms are tiny and the systems are old. Very few outlets in the room. On the upside, the wireless was good and the beds were comfortable. I also like the free covered parking. Staff service was mediocre at best.

It wasn't bad, the food was excellent at the banquet I attended. The room however didn't have a refrigerator nor a microwave and only 4 working plugs. I unplugged the coffee pot in order to plug in my phone charger. The internet service was possibly the worst possible. Continually had to log in and the. There were different services for different parts of the building. Baffling at best loathsome at worst. The wait staff in the atrium dining area was continually short staffed and I had to find my own menu. Smh.

Attended a wedding here, the ballroom was great, with beautiful lighting. Bathrooms were huge and clean with great lighting as well. The only downside is that the parking lots have pretty bad lighting if any at all and are pretty creepy. Didn't feel safe in the really barely there dim lighting of the parking lot.

The staff is helpful and quick. Breakfast is quite good, especially the lox and the omelet bar. The rooms are small for two people with full sized luggage, but they are clean and comfortable. Great running trail nearby, plenty of food options not too far from the hotel, and the cookies are delicious.

Hotel was lovely and we found our room to be very comfortable. Unfortunately, several staff members have been less than pleasant and seemed to be bothered with our presence. They're hopefully just having a bad day.

Great hotel! I stayed with my dad and sister for the night and it was almost perfect. Loved the gym, wish the TV was a little bigger, and the pull-out couch wouldn't work and had to call guest services. When we called them, they said they would be at our room in a few and we had to call twice after that.

Stayed in a king sized room. Room size was adequate. TV could have been bigger (32 inches). Cleaning crew is good. Bathroom is excellent. Shower has a circular curtain holder giving the illusion of a bigger tub. Breakfast has a solid selection as well. The hotel is in close proximity to shopping malls and areas to grab some food. The hotel is also about 30 minutes out from downtown Chicago. Would recommend.

The rooms are large, comfortable, bed was great. Lobby was clean with lots of comfortable seating. There should be a dress code enforced for the public areas such as the lobby, bar, eating areas. The last thing I want to see while sitting in lobby or restaurant is some wanna be thugs underwear because his pants are hung below his ass.

We were here to attend a family reunion/memorial, and the DoubleTree is located near our cousins (and the hotel is hosting the memorial brunch, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow). So far our only experience with the DoubleTree has been as a place to sleep when we're not socializing with family. But the accommodations have been terrific, and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Was attending a business orientation. The hotel was very clean and had great conference rooms. Had all the necessary hotel amenities. Highly recommended.

I was greeted by a nice staff. I didn't have to wait long to get checked in. The room was great for my needs. It was spacious but lacked a closet. I'm not used to that. The bar area was cool. I don't recall the male bartender's name (maybe Mike) but he was awesome and very personable. The price was reasonable. Check out was easy and I have no complaints.

Nice hotel. Diamond member perks are a plus. No refrigerator in my room. I've come to find that pretty standard and was dissapointed not having it. All in all nice though.

The room was clean, hotel nice even offered warm cookies at check-in. The pricing is my issue. I was charged an extra 35 dollars for my room. In the grand scheme, 35 dollars isn't much, but it's misleading. If I wanted to pay more for a room I would have opted to do so.

This place is swanky! The recently renovated hotel has covered parking, a mini convenience store, its own bar and grill, room service, indoor pool and fitness center, friendly staff, and it's walking distance from a nice shopping centre. For the price, it's probably one of the nicest places I've stayed. Only complaint, I'd like there to be an in room mini fridge.

It's a nice business hotel, but I wouldn't stay here as my first option. I wish the rooms had microwaves and mini fridges. They offer free cookies all the time so we all ate those as breakfast because we're here for a school event. Overall, well kept and clean, but not featured filled.

Hotel staff was very accommodating. When our air conditioning wasn't working, they promptly got us a new room close by and moved our belongings for us. Hotel facade is older, but interior has been updated. Overall good experience.

This Doubletree is current under remodel so I will assume most of my negatives will be addressed in the near future. The bathrooms are a little dated. The breakfast was great for a Doubletree. Omelette bar, fresh fruit, bacon and sausage, pancakes, juice, coffee. The restaurant is being rebuilt so we are eating in a conference room. I would consider staying here again.

Clean room. I'm a diabetic and they brought a refrigerator to my room within 5 minutes of my check in. Great staff and overall experience.

Construction going on at the time I was there but they did a pretty good job of hiding it from me. I ate at the buffet style breakfast place several times. It was one of the best hotel breakfast places that I have been to.

Thin walls, I am listening to the guy next to me snore! Yesterday I could clearly hear the couples conversation. I am 6ft. Tall and have to dip my head in the shower to was my hair. Breakfast is meh, house keeping is pretty good from my experience. I will be stating at the embassy suites down the road from now on.

Good location, overall a nice facility that is getting some needed updates done currently. Attached parking deck is free. We did have some trouble with housekeeping not picking up very well, so we ended up with a free breakfast which turned out to be good. The free AT&T Wifi worked fine.

We stayed at the double tree in oak Brook il, they had excellent service with clean rooms would stay again and would recommend to others.

The shower know was a little confusing but other than that it was very nice. They have a pretty good breakfast too.

Sorry I keep thinking of more issues. This is rating because I keep running out of room. The tub held water during a shower. The jets didn't work in the hot tub. The view from a "balcony room" is another roof top. While watching a television show, if you go to the guide to surf it turns off the show you are currently watching. The comment card give you no where to write a comment, and the hotline to call with issues does not include a phone number. Make sense! This hotel has potential, they have clearly just slacked for too long.

Rooms are a little small but the overall experience makes up for it.

Well, I gave this hotel 2 stars because one thing is that when I first came there in April, and I asked for 2 blankets, they gave me two thin blankets. The bathroom doors won't close good, and the downstairs sports bar and restaurant service were slow. I HAD to wait for my order to come in. I HAD to ask for my change back if I"m paying by cash. And the waitress there not only try to ignore me, but gave me an attitude when I was asking her nicely when will I get my food. My second visit was at the end of May, that I ask them for two blankets again. They sent up two old blankets with holes in it! What's worse is that the blankets looked like the old foam thin blankets that stick together. So of course I called back and told them to up two more, but better ones, and sent back the tore up ones. And although they sent the even better comforters, I would give them 2 stars. They need to do better than this. A free cookie that they handed out when you check on would be nice, but they charge you for that. Warning, if you can't find a parking space near the hotel, you would end up parking in another parking lot across the street. Because during the weekends the parking lot would be packed. Not sure if the one across the street is theirs or not, but a lot of people had to park across the street because of the events.

Broken shower faucet. Rude front desk. Put our room in the middle of a high school group. Everything was overpriced for just bring a hotel next to a mall.

We were recently booked in a room where the shower had no hot water. (the sink hot water worked). Of course, we didn't discover this until the morning when it was time to take showers. I asked the front desk for a simple adjustment on the room charges (wasn't even asking for a full refund). Her manager was to call me the following week. I made one follow up call two weeks later and now another week beyond that I have heard nothing. I am extremely disappointed in this Hilton property. I have been a Hilton Honors member for more than10 years.

I enjoyed my stay at Double Tree. All the staff were nice and friendly. Wish that my room would have had a frig and microwave.

I stayed 7 nights in the middle of September and can confidently say this is the nicest hotel I've stayed at in this price range. The fitness facility is the best I've seen in a hotel, period. The rooms are nice although some lack refrigerators so be sure to ask for one if that is a necessity for you. The breakfast buffet is very good but is in the $20 price range. To me, the best part of staying here is seeing the various conferences that it hosts on a daily basis. Overall, a very nice experience and I will be returning if I have the opportunity.

I was in Chicago with my mother, step-father, and my aunt to attend my uncle’s funeral (their brothers). This was the weekend of August 15th thru 17th — — We had three rooms in our group. All three rooms smelled musty, my mother’s room was next to the elevator which they heard all night, and all rooms were small in size with either a king or two double beds. I had a suite with a balcony and it was still small and this was classified as an upgrade! The rooms were dingy, dated, my room the wall paper was coming off the wall in the bathroom. The Happy Hour munchies (Thursday) were Nacho's. If we hadn’t asked the waiter to refill the chips we might not have gotten any appetizers at all and he seemed like he did not want to refill the Nacho ingredients. Tables were dirty for having one bartender and one waiter, the drinks were expensive, not much alcohol for the cost and the bar was loud – Friday morning all four of us ate in the restaurant the staff was attentive and friendly. HOWEVER I was the only person in our group to eat the Yogurt and granola – and I got food poisoning. I told the Front Desk person “KC” that I got food poisoning from the Yogurt and he seemed uninterested, his female coworker overheard our conversation and she was uninterested. Saturday morning I got up early and told the night auditor, she did not care. I stopped at the front desk AGAIN later that morning to check out of my room and a different Front Desk person didn’t care either.

Hotel is OK but it isn't really for the Business Traveler. Usually have groups that come through that are really loud. Basically people who have no concept that the hotel hallways are not their extended room. I've been staying here for the past few weeks and it has not been the best. Plus there is a lot of places where water is leaking and the hallways smell like mold. The lounge is nice but I'd rather have a more quiet environment that is provided by better hotels in the area. I've have too much invested trying to reach Diamond status to move reservations. Once I reached Diamond I'll go back to the other hotels. I'll just use my status on my next project at a better Hilton.
