Lack of security, our van was broken into and looted for close to $10, 000 of tools and personal items. No video footage could be obtained for the lack video cameras through the parking areas. I was told by staff that this never happens here, but local police stated it occurred over the weekend and the staff stated that they were unaware of the incidents. No comps were offered nor assistance in the matter. Other than that our stay was ok at the most. I just pray the local authorities can recover our stolen items…

It’s pretty shady to delete reviews from people that have had negative experiences with your hotel. The customer service at this hotel is honestly horrible, and manager Jacob is absolutely unfit to be in a position where he deals with customers. Him, the security guard, and the woman at the front desk were all rude and I don’t know how this hotel is still in business with staff like that.

Had no issues getting our room. There were fresh cookies in the front for a quick snack. The room was on the 5th floor but we had no issues with the elevator. I had a room with two beds and it was very clean and temperature adjustments happened quickly as well. I did not visit the gym or pool. All the standard toiletries were provided. The water pressure was high and the water was hot. Breakfast was excellent and readily available. There were many options like an omlete bar and usual breakfast items. The fruit was sweet and the juice was just right. Check out was easy and there were no issues.

Very clean, staff were helpful and very accommodating, definitely impressed with their service; pool, gym and laundry room were always available. Would definitely stay there again.

The bed was so comfortable with just the right amount of pillows. The room had an air filter. I took a shower and it was perfect. Lots of hot water.

Nice place. Good breakfast. Didn't stay the night but the hotel looked clean and inviting. The meeting rooms were great and we we're well taken care of.

Standard HGI. New carpeting July 3 in the lobby eating area. All but one of the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Pool was small but good for the kids. Location was perfect. 27min drive into the city, 3 min drive from cheesecake factory and other restaurants and shopping. 8 min drive from Oak Terrace golf course which had an amazing July 3 fireworks display along with food! Would definitely return here again.

Keep your key card away from your cellphone, it can mess with it and keep you from entering your room, which is annoying if you’re on the 9th floor.

Good location with lots of restaurants to choose from. Breakfast isn't included but it is good. Service is good.

Pleasant atmosphere, nice bed, huge parking spaces. Service was quite decent but it took pretty long to check in. The hotel is located by the highway so it would be hard to miss the exit.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a Hilton Garden Inn. My room, 557, was super loud all the time. Between the allergy filter and the heater/air conditioner that would come on randomly even though I had it turned off and was very loud, I got zero sleep. The lighting in my room was horrible and I felt like I was staying in a cave.
Not to mention, the walls are paper thin and I could hear normal conversation level noise from my neighbors the entire time. The break…fast buffet is $13+ which is a little crazy for that area and unlike other HGI's, they didn't have any snacks in the evening in the lobby. Check in took forever even though I was already checked in on the app and the front desk checked me out at 1am with no bill under my door. Front desk staff at both instances were more interested in their personal conversations than helping anyone. Unfortunately, I will not stay here again even though it is the most convenient hotel to my clients.

Hotel is nice, room was not clean when I arrived. Refrigerator and microwave were unplugged and nearly impossible to plug in and toilet was not flushed. After that though the stay were pretty nice. Overpriced though, the Hilton suites was nicer and in the same parking lot.

Since last weekend was my last stay at this “hotel”, I might as well write my often-requested review of this place. I stay at this hotel at least twice a month for the last year and have recently found out that Hilton Inc. Has lost my previous stays, even though I showed receipts, and refused to credit me these stays to my honors account. My unbiased and honest review of the Hilton Garden Inn, Oakbrook Terrace, IL: 1. Parking: This Hilton shares a parking lot with the Drury Theatre of Oakbrook, which has 4 theatre times a day during the weekends. Once the plays begin, it’s a free for all for parking spots. There are signs along the first two rows of the parking lot indicating that the parking spots are, “For Hotel Guests Only, All Others Will Be Towed”. This is vehemently ignored by theatre patrons who fill up the spots per showing without any kind of policing by hotel security. This leaves paying hotel guests to either, break the law and park in the red fire truck zones, or to park in the conveniently designated & shared parking garage 500 to 700 feet away from the hotel entrance. Being a disabled Military Veteran, I am usually forced to drag my two trips worth of luggage down the parking garage levels and across the busy street and lot to the front lobby. 2.

The ONLY major hotel we've ever been to that did not have a complimentary breakfast. The handicap parking area was not cleared of snow when we arrived. Had to park farther away in order to get in and out of the car safely.

Nice place. Looks great. Most of the staff are very good and friendly. The on-site restaurant is not good and the breakfast is basically a Continental breakfast that costs$12.95 of you don't get the package that includes breakfast. I enjoy my stays here except for the overpriced, bland breakfast.

Rooms are nice. Great indoor pool. They do charge for breakfast in the morning.

The pics don't do it justice. Super clean. Really nice. K cup machine! And incredibly fast and friendly check in/out. Didn't get my extra pillow that I asked for, but the great breakfast totally made up for it.

Stayed here on a recent business trip for three nights. The location is pretty sweet, right near an upscale mall and other services including a movie theater and lots of dining options. The hotel is well kept up, the rooms were clean and comfortable, including the daily housekeeping which was on point. The hotel does have a restaurant and bar. While I was there the restaurant was closed in the evening so I resorted to Eat24 for food delivery (given it was sub zero temps outside and I did not feel like driving or freezing). I was informed that normally the restaurant is open in the evenings. Really nice lobby, with water and coffee available as well as a little sundries shop.

When you have tickets for the show at Drury Lane. You can walk across the parking lot and have a beautiful place to stay for the night. And the breakfast with your room is unbelievable.

Room was nice — fairly quiet, very clean. Bed was comfortable, shower had good pressure and temperature. Parking was a bit of a problem, because it shares a lot with Drury Lane theater. There was a tray of cookies/bars set out when we got there, along with hot water to make tea, but the cookie tray had one cookie on it, and the water was no longer hot. Also had to expressly "agree" to a rate when checking in that really wasn't the room rate, but included a $50 charge for incidentals "that would be refunded within 72 hours". It has not been refunded, yet.

Nice and clean room with friendly staff. Walls are not so sound proof and the fridge in my room was really loud. Good breakfast but needs to pay $14.

Been coming here 1-2x a year for 25 years I’ll bet. Although they don’t serve a made to order free breakfast, have happy hour freebies, have fresh-baked cookies at 9 PM like they once did… I absolutely love it here. Great hotel. Great location.

Good location. Well maintained hotel. Engineering came right up when we had an issue. Good a/c. Front desk could have been a bit more friendly — the only reason we gave it 4 stars instead of five.

The hotel is located next to Drury Lane which was perfect since we're attend a wedding reception there. The hotel has "quiet house" hours that start at 10:30pm. They require signing and agreement for the quiet hours. There may have been a hotel bar but I'm not sure. The room itself was nice an clean. The air conditioning worked well. The bed was fairly comfortable. All in all nice hotel.

Ok service, we had family come into town to stay there. Everything seemed clean and nice. They did have a couple of issues. There was a long wait to get service to their room & the keycards had to be reset a couple times. An OK experience.

I stayed here and decided to try out my digital key. I loved it. I had a nice double bed room, but the radio wasn't working and after calling the front desk to send engineering up, they took so long I ended up fixing it myself and told them never mind don't send them up. Then to my surprise my TV stopped working, it kept saying no signal! Omg I am so disappointed I barely want to ever come back in fear that I might have the same or different issue.

Good hotel. Comfortable beds. Really nice pillows. Ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast both were very good and food was reasonably priced. Very nice staff. They went above and beyond to help me gather a couple of extra items.

We had a great stay at this Hilton. Only 20 to 25 minutes away from O'Hare Airport. Also, it's only 30 — 45 minutes from Chicago depending on the traffic.

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms. Breakfast and other food from the kitchen was very good. Internet access in the rooms is spotty at times. Proximity to the mall is nice but access to other roads and freeway to get anywhere else is a little complicated.

I frequently stay at Hilton Garden Inn locations, and Oakbrook is a good example of a standard location. The rooms are decently appointed and comfortable, the lobby is functional, and the breakfast buffet was good. The bar staff was friendly at night. The bar is interesting, as it is hidden within a wall in the lobby. Overall I had a good experience, but nothing extraordinary.

Overall — nice hotel. Some small issues kept it at 3 stars. The bathtub was stained and dated, making me not have any desire to soak in the tub after an extremely long day (which I had originally planned to do prior to seeing said tub's condition). Second issue. I have diamond status, and was not offered any sort of upgrade. No big deal, but still a bummer. But the reason for the second star removal was the silly door connecting the guest rooms. The guests next door were quiet, but I could still hear a pin drop from the shared door! I asked to move rooms, but they said they were completely booked. Frustrating when all you want to do is sleep, and the room next to you is simply watching some TV at a regular volume, but it is as loud as them watching it in your room. Positives: friendly staff! Excellent breakfast! Overall very clean location.

Absolutely wonderful. The staff was exceptional. I was treated like royalty. I was there to relax and get some rest and I was able to do just that. Awesome breakfast buffet and the servers were the best. Everyone seemed to truly enjoy being a part of the Hilton family. I am a former Hilton employee and after 25 years I am still proud to say it.

Three things I didn't like were the beds were hard, they didn't clean the bathroom 100% before we arrived and the tub didn't drain right. Everything else about the place was good.

Nice hotel to stay. The only negative point was that check-in is exactly at 12 o clock, no minute before. Had do wait a couple of hours in the hall. However, free internet is available for guests.

Nice stay in May 2013. Typical Hilton Garden Inn Decor, well kept. Room was very clean. It is kind of hard to get to if you are not familiar with the area. It is located between two highways but even though you can see it you cannot get there directly from the highways. You have to go in via the frontage road that runs behind the hotel. You can access that most easily behind the Oakbrook Mall. Got a deal for one night under a hundred dollars. Not sure if that is typical, but if so great for the Chicago area for this type of mid-scale hotel. About 15 minutes from Brookfield Zoo, 2 blocks from Oakbrook Mall.

Check-in was quick and friendly. Very nice place to stay for business travelers.
