Family friendly, and beautiful rooms.

We had an awesome stay at this hotel Saturday night (5/15)! The staff was amazing to say the least, especially Jasmine at the front desk who after a small issue made sure we were well taken care of! The hotel was extremely clean and gorgeous! Perfect location to all the shops and only a short walk to Starbucks Roastery. We can’t wait to stay again!

We had such an amazing time at EMC2! Daniel and Kyle (at the front desk) were the first to welcome us to this wonderful hotel and we enjoyed every moment of our time there! The rooms were immaculately clean, the beds were comfy, and the service was spectacular!

Daughter, granddaughters and I had the best girl getaway experience. Leo gave the best room service. Breakfast was amazing. I recommend this beautiful experience to anyone who doesn’t mind spending money.

Wow just wow! My stay at Hotel EMC2 was incredible. I cannot find one bad thing to say about this place. When we arrived our room was already ready for us which made our trip there go so smoothly. The staff was OUTSTANDING including Leo and Cleo! The bed was so comfortable, rooms are so beautiful, we loved the shower and the amenities. This has been the most amazing hotel experience I have ever had. This hotel is exceptional in all aspects the food was delicious! I probably had the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had there too! I am over the moon with this hotel it was definitely a highlight of our trip to Chicago. Perfect location too right in the middle of everything. I just want to thank all of the staff for going above and beyond for us and for being so courteous and so professional! Thanks again cannot wait to come back soon!

My significant other, our Miniature Goldendoodle and I recently experienced the hotel and loved our stay in the heart of the city. We, truly, appreciate how far the hotel went to make us feel comfortable and safe during this time. We hope to return!

Our bellhop Carlos was an absolute gem for walking half a block to help us get our luggage even though we ended up in the wrong parking garage. Also really enjoyed conversation with our waitress Aurora! Great staff and relaxing rooms, absolutely wonderful way to spend my birthday :)

Amazing accommodations for my birthday, going to be really hard to top robots bringing me fresh fruit for breakfast! We had a king suite with the city view and enjoyed every minute of it as well as the Wet Lab. Absolutely recommend the hotel as well as The Albert! The charred octopus and goat’s milk sorbet were equally impeccable.

Such an amazing hotel! My husband and I stayed there for a night after seeing a concert at Wrigley Field. The location is perfect! The hotel is one of the coolest boutique style hotels I’ve seen in Chicago. The staff were all very personable! We had a room with a city view that didn’t disappoint. The design and decor of the room was expertly designed! While I didn’t use them this time, the Robot Butlers, Leo and Cleo blew me away! Very unique! The artwork was also a very cool touch. They were animated drawings. I can go on and on!

Arrived around 12 noon but got our rooms sorted out immediately. Thumbs up for that. Large rooms, comfortable bed. Great service all round.

This place is awesome! Not only is it super chic and trendy, but the staff are super friendly and awesome! Restaurant has great food and we love Cleo and Leo.

We had a smooth checkin and a great first stay at the hotel. The hotel was gorgeous and we loved getting to see all of the art and unique scientific touches. It is one of the greatest hotels I have ever seen. I would love to stay again. The staff were all friendly and helpful as well.

The hotel was really unique and high-tech! We got a kick out of seeing the robots Cleo and Leo bringing up water, towels, and amenities to us. There was an Amazon Echo in each room. The staff were helpful and responsive. The decorations were neat and creative. The restaurant was fancy, but most of my party did not like the small portions and the slow service. The science and art theme was fascinating. The location was really good! It is located on the Magnificent Mile, but we were only there for the weekend so we did not get a chance to take advantage of this. Some in my party liked the showerhead in the shower. Others were uncomfortable that the shower was placed in the middle of the room. However, there was a curtain you could pull around it. The price for the room was very reasonable for Chicago.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean, loved the somewhat "scientific" feel, and especially appreciated that it had more technology features over other, standard, hotel rooms. Robot room service was so cool! Location was great, too!

Absolutely stunning room. Incredibly fun and modern with neat little twists throughout. The bathroom is gorgeous and has a unique shower. The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable to sleep on. I never wanted to leave! Theres also cool amenities such as robots who will bring items to your room for you. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to Magnificent Mile. I will definitely stay here again!

Chic, hip, and upscale for a great price in downtown Chicago. One of the cooler features are the two robots (who are frequently occupied due to their novelty) that deliver items like extra shampoo and soap. The lobby bar was a complete surprise and was fantastic, with great cocktails I'd walk in off the street for. The decor is nouveau industrial, being modern while pulling classic details from the early 1920s. Great location within walking distance to other excellent restaurants and bars.

I almost exclusively use Marriott brands. We generally have very good service. This is not the case here. After being out all day, our room was not serviced Upon calling we rquested someone come at 430 when we were leaving for the evening. A young lady came at 4 and basically said now or never. Also they have a robot system for requesting items … After nearly an hour we had to call again for towels. Finally the breakfast buffet is below average… Honestly don't eat here. However it's a good location and a cool concept but something isn't right!

The hotel is beautiful and the staff was perfect! The room was very nice and very clean. The bed was a little soft for my liking but it was comfortable. We had a room with a glass shower. It was very romantic and upper class! Breakfast was good. They they had scrambled eggs and BACON! Bagels, muffins, oatmeal, fruit, ect… If I go back to Chicago this will be my place.

A fun and quirky hotel located close to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Room decor is dark with a high tech vibe. Glass shower divides the room from the bathroom. Lots of little cool features like automated lighting and robots that deliver things to your room. Restaurant offers a breakfast that is continental plus scrambled eggs and bacon. Dinner is a bit higher end. Overall a fun place to stay.

Landmark Review So I was in town for a conference and they put us up at this boutique hotel. I was surprised how nice and modern this would be. The prices listed for 1 night were not bad. Staff was prompt and quick at check in even though I came in super late that Friday night. They did mess up my card initially and I had to go back downstairs to get my card coded again. The robot staff member that delivers amenities is really cool, but I did not end up using it during my stay. Also the echo in the room was another nice high tech items which was not used. The conference center on the middle floor is comfortable, modern, and well equipped. I would recommend this place in the future.

Amazing hotel. The service was great and rooms were so unique and comfortable. I haven't slept this peacefully in a hotel in a long time. I loved the Albert Einstein theme, especially the robots, Leo & Cleo, that delivered items to your room. Truly an innovative hotel. Once they get mobile key entry, it will be set. Took a minute to get used to the see-through shower, but I had to admit it was great. They do have a curtain for privacy. I will definitely be back!

My wife and I came into town because she had 1 days worth of work. We went back and forth about what hotel we wanted to stay and we picked here and let me tell you it was a great pick. Perfectly placed in the middle of things I wanted to see. I recommend this hotel above any other in Chicago. Staff is helpful and accommodating and the rooms are great the shower in the room would make anyone stay for 2 to 3 hours in. Cant wait to go back and stay again!

This is a newly built Hotel in Chicago. It opened up in November 2017. It's big on Arts and Science, my husband and I stay there for his birthday weekend and we had a blast. Beautifully designed Hotel, very high-end, everything is well designed and well-thought-out. They even have robots that deliver necessary items to your room such as towels, robes, extra soap or they even will drop off a toothbrush if you forgot yours. Overall the restaurant called e Albert the menu was a little lacking however the service was very nice and the atmosphere and ambience in the restaurant was very grown and sexy.

We were in a meeting room on the 3rd floor for a software road show. The food was far better than usual for such events. The decor was creative and different. The door was very loud when people walked in and out.

Absolutely brilliant ambience to the entire building. Dark, Gotham/DC vibe all complemented with an artful cap. Rooms are great, chiq and very raw throughout. With all the brilliant upsides to this place, the doormen are complete failures in this hotel. Failing to open doors, giving dirty looks (checking you out) and making you feel really uncomfortable. After we declined our vehicle to be valeted, they refused to bring our bags up and watched us open doors with a dozen bags in hand. Either lose your job or learn base customs…

Loved this hotel! I was in town for a conference and had to stay my last night here (as the conference hotel was sold out). It couldn’t have worked out better! First, the room was pristine. From the wonderful styling, to the cloud-like bed and linens, I fell in love with it the second I walked through the door. The tech aspects of the room and hotel are so neat. The wonderful bellman spent 15 minutes with us showing us how everything worked. He could have spent more time! There is so much! Plus, a neat little robot can bring stuff to your room. We requested something just to see it work! The art/science theme makes for gorgeous styling and the attention to detail in every part of the hotel (especially the bar/restaurant) did not go unnoticed! The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. My room was not ready at 3, as requested, but the staff was so apologetic. They even gave me a small room credit so I could get a drink at the bar while I was waiting. And the drink was amazing! If I find myself in Chicago again (for work or for pleasure), I will definitely be back.

One of the coolest hotels! The art and science blend works perfectly. The robots are a modern addition to hotel hospitality and it works. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Restaurant and bar excellent. Non-guests actually make dinner reservations to dine here. Would stay here again in an instant.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! I can't get over the modern style of the rooms, and the hotel robots Leo and Cleo were so cool. The hotel location is also great; it's a block or two away from Michigan Ave and there are lots of great restaurants in the area.

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now and am impressed with the hotel staff, overall ambiance and accommodations. Very comfortable beds, great smelling bath products, excellent shower. Love the robots. Three things I don’t love. First, the size of the rooms is quite small, which eliminates a side/lounge chair. Second, the heat/air comes from a vent in the desk, which is generally fine, except when you’re sitting at the desk (in the only chair in the room). Third, the restaurant/bar, the Albert, is just ok. The staff was inattentive, and it took quite a while for service when there were probably 3 other tables occupied. The food was fine, but nothing memorable — we came for late night coffee/dessert. Room service breakfast the next day was mediocre.

This hotel is amazing! The staff is friendly and attentive, and the rooms are excellent with all of the modern amenities you would expect. All of the neat touches of the hotel are very cool and unique (Leo and Cleo the robotos are super cool! ). I would definitely recommend it, it was great bang for the buck.

Incredible hotel. Spotlessly clean, very modern, and in a great location to be touristy. The robots, Leo and Cleo, deliver items to your room that you request from the desk; it’s so fun to see them scurrying around the hotel. Each room also has an Amazon Echo for your convenience. Comfortable beds, awesome showers, and the modernity really puts it over the top. Their theme of arts meets sciences was really done well. I would stay in this hotel again and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Very nice details in this hotel. You could find every day new crazy things like the deliver robotics Leo and Cleo. Enjoyed our stays very much. Very friendly stuff, rooms are clean. Good position for shopping or fine dining, but also for exploring the city by feet.

Great stay, fantastic rooms, good food, good drinks. It was fun and stimulating to see the robots at work, the technology in the rooms. There is an interesting mix of old and new innovations around every corner. Brunch was excellent, and they serve a pretty good latte in an expresso cup. They even have breakfast beers to help you start the day on the right foot.

We got a great price for our room when we booked in advance. The bed was super comfy. The staff was incredibly friendly. The room was one of the nicest most modern (but tastefully modern) rooms I've stayed in. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. I highly recommend.

Great location new hotel that has some flair. It's alittle funky and dark in places. Also, this hotel does not feel like one of those standard worn Marriott's even though it is part of the Marriott group. Attached to the hotel is a restaurant and bar with a good vibe. The hotel was reasonably priced.

Amazing hotel. I can't recommend it enough. The price was fantastic for a brand new hotel on mag mile, it had robots that delivered things you forgot (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc all complimentary). The rooms are super novel, huge TV, Amazon Alexa, great lighting control, beautiful designs all throughout and just an overall smart and amazing hotel.

I really liked this hotel. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill Marriott, even if it is an Autograph property, which is part of the Marriott family. The front desk staff was excellent — attentive, but not overly so. A very convenient location, just off of Michigan Avenue. I wasn’t as impressed with the attached Alfred bar and restaurant. Seemed as though the staff there was more interested in chatting with each other than waiting on customers. Also, the breakfast option was a little underwhelming. Too many of the items were empty and took too long to replenish, if they were replenished at all. The room I had, which I think was an average room in the property, was very nice. Two things for me that really make a room — good linens and a good shower. This had both! The shower was a combo rain shower/hand wand configuration. Nice soaps, too! There were two negatives with the room, however. There was only one place to sit in the room, which was the desk chair. It was a perfectly fine desk chair, but if I wanted to simply relax, kick back, watch TV or read, not so great. The other negative was that the heating/cooling vent was on the desk surface. If you’re sitting at the desk, the air blows out directly at you. Not so great. The whole property is very distinctive, in a good way. Unique design and just a nice overall “feel”, if that makes sense. I would definitely return, and I recommend it if you’re in Chicago.

Great new spot in Chicago! Loved the bar atmosphere… fun cocktails, cozy atmosphere, attentive service, and tasty food. Leo and Cleo, the hotel robots, are adorable. I saw them in the check in area. Fancy spot with a passion for art and science. Great job Marriott.

I did not stay here, but did spend some time at this hotel while my friend was staying here during a visit. I found nothing to complain about. I was beautifully designed and decorated. Innovative solutions are implemented all throughout the experience. Nothing felt cheap or plasticity either.

I had asked for a twin with separate beds and the one allocated had two King size beds.

Shower also large size enjoyable from the room.

Unique Note: The bathroom is of a quality, but essential (availability at the reception of what else is needed) and in five days has never been reinstated.

Ok. Let me just start off by saying I'm a platinum member I love Marriott! But this one is not on my favorite list. No room service past 11 pm. Really! No pool! Small room nicely decorated but hardly any space and if I got bumped up because I'm a loyal member I don't want to know what the regular room was. Staff is great. It is unique but not worth another trip to this one. I love you Marriott but must improve on this one. Sincerely Loyal guest.

I have been a loyal Marriott Rewards Member for 21 years (platinum for life). I stay in Marriott Properties all over the world and this is is one of the more spectacular hotels in the group. Its location is perfect, the staff is friendly and helpful as can be (I am looking at you, Dwayne! ), the room extremely high tech and functional, "The Albert" restaurant food and service is impeccable and the overall design is amazing. I never used the robot butler, but think the idea is very cool. I will put this hotel at the top of the list for my next visit to Chicago. Criswell D.

Nothing but rude staff that made sure that I was properly booted out in a timely manner in the middle of the night. Set off the alarm with some steam and incense and vape but they kicked me out on a prepaid room for over 5 nights. The management gave me no warning, just demanded I leave in the middle of the night. The whole experience was disheartening, they sent me to the street with my bags and belongings at 2am like a dog. What a hospitality service from this property. My room was prepaid until Thursday night and they made me leave few hours into my stay. Being that I represent a large group booking large blocks of rooms I will make sure we won't stay at your affiliates, such a disappointment. Extremely disappointed by my experience.

Loved it! Cleo the robot brought me water and slippers and did a little dance. 4pm checkout. Great location. Super nice staff!

Absolutely LOVE! The quality of every detail even the tiniest ones is just superb! Decor was to die for, and the staff are so amazing and helpful. Even had a private dinner with the Chef! Just make sure you call down and ask for Cleo to bring you something! So cool to have a robot do that for you! We will be back for sure.

Very hip, upscale hotel. My wife and I actually loved the hotel, but consider it too modern and art deco for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again if we had to, but probably would choose a different hotel.

The restaurant called The Albert at this boutique hotel is fantastic. Portions are smallish so expect to order three courses. Every course was spot on delicious. Presentation superb. Service excellent. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Highly recommend.

What a place, and memorable stay! I promise there is no other hotel that delivers the kind of service, and unique experience as Hotel EMC2 in Chicago. The world class staff (with a special thanks to Christian) and the hotel's superlative design elements could not be any more perfect. They transcend the typical table stakes of boutique hotels (luxury and comfort), and bring you to a whole new level of inspiration and awe. Thanks again!

Central location with friendly staff and very modern rooms (and a robot to bring you items you've forgotten), only downside is the breakfast selection very limited.

This is an over the top hotel. The decor and people were great. Location is nice with several bars/restaurants nearby. My main complaint was the lighting system in the room was unnecessarily complicated. Also the restaurant is full on crazy. There's nothing simple in there. I passed on dining there after looking at the menu so I can't comment on the quality, but I'm sure it's fine.

I stayed in the EMC2 hotel 3 days after they opened up. I'm this kind of person looking for an perfect stay in an perfect environment. The hotel, the rooms the staff everything was perfect and not at all mainstream. As a bonus see their restaurant THE ALBERT… outstanding! creative! A must for people looking for quality instead of quantity!

I only ate at the restaurant inside, The Albert, and it was fantastic. The food was modern, and delicious.
