Very nice obviously updated hotel. Big spacious two bedroom suite.

Rooms are horrible very dated and 90% of the fixtures are crooked. Drywall has so many dings in it. They surprise you with $50 parking fee. And the elevator can fit maybe one normal size person. For the price you can do much better.

Had a great time. Staff is awesome. The doorman is the same guy who's been here for years. I think his name is Eddie.

Check in is quick, that’s about all that is good about this place. Room wasn’t clean, sofa bed had obviously not been cleaned on a long time. When we asked for someone to come up and clean/change it we were handed linens and left to do it ourselves. The heater/air conditioner didn’t work in the room either. Spend your money elsewhere if you stay in Chicago.

Positives: hotel is beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable. negatives: when I found the hotel online it talked about the beautiful views and that it has the largest rooms in Chicago. I don't know if it's because this was an impromptu trip and we just walked in to book but the room we got is super small, and the view is what I believe is an apartment building that I can see directly into the windows of and what appear to be an alley. The elevators could also be upgraded, they were kind of frightening they always made noise when the door was closing and I kept feeling line we were going to get stuck. We would stay here again despite the negatives because they are not a deterrent, just not what I expected from what was advertised.

This hotel makes your stay in Chicago amazing. Beautiful rooms and staff are very helpful and friendly.

We stayed a night for our anniversary and 0/10 would not stay again! Incompetent and rude staff, rooms are stripped of the amenities: no mini fridge, no soaps, no mini bar (not even bottled water), no room service (even though there’s an attached restaurant), no coffee pot/coffee. Called the front desk to see if we could buy bottled water and they said there was a water cooler on the 2nd floor — which didn’t work!

Wonderful location and great Restaurant. Excellent food, but… the price for the Parking it is unbelievable $69 per night. We are not rich. We are a couple of retired married people, who wants to enjoy Life and travel and drive because we don’t have money to fly.

What a great place to stay. You get what you paid for. I liked the hotel staff and most of all the friendly guy at bar in the lobby. I'll be back soon! Chicago downtown is so worth-seeing.

Friendly and helpful staff. Big rooms but not very clean. The shower and the furniture is old and need to be repaired. We asked for the repair of the Toilet and it was done in the next hour. But no coffee machine or water heater in the room. We need to buy cups because they only have glass in the room. I would not stay again in this hotel.

I would not recommend this hotel. I am here now. We are on the ninth floor and it was very hot last night and again tonight. When I told the supervisor on duty she said the only thing they could do was open the window and give us a fan. This whole situation has been handled poorly by management. They said they can’t cool the room. No offer to move us. So we are in the room, it is hot, the window is open with light coming in and noise from a Chicago street.

UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS! Stayed there once in June. The hotel was antiquated but served its purpose as it was downtown. My 1 star comes from someone someone's inability to keep books or outright stealing. Since my stay, (full balance charged 2 months before we arrived) my account has been charged for the hotel stay twice Aug and Oct. Not once have I been able to speak to anyone in accounting and I've had to go through my bank to clear the matter. This time I'm pursuing criminal charges. Check the reviews on trip advisor. I'm not the only one.

Great location the hotel staff was friendly just stayed 1 night after attending a wedding at the Drake so for the price our room was OK. The room has been updated but not high quality workmanship furniture was good. But the chair and rugs were badly stained and it was small. All in all we were satisfied but not impressed.

It was a great experience. When we walked into the building, we were immediately greeted and checked in. The room was clean and air conditioned. They had a small fridge stocked with some drinks and a small mini bar with a few select bottles. We want to come back and check out their outdoor lounge on the roof. It looks amazing.

We loved our stay in this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were big, we used the kitchenette every day and every day after coming back everything was perfectly clean again. I would give five stars if the furniture was a bit better quality. My brother slept on the sofa bed and I think he wasn't too pleased.

Great location! The staff is very friendly and attentive, clean rooms and with a good bathroom. I think you need the breakfast option included!. You have to visit the bar that is on the top floor as it has a very nice atmosphere and a good view of the city.

Stayed for 2nights and did not have a functioning bathroom! Our shower continuously flooded! Told the front desk TWICE and they had someone just DRY IT UP! Never got offered to moved, $600 wasted. Not to mention 3 days after checking out a mysterious EXTRA $100 being taken out of our bank account! What the heck!?

If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIBully. Com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere! Our bellman, David, was absolutely amazing with greeting us, assisting with doors, providing dining recommendations, and obtaining transportation for us. Our room was exceptionally comfortable. The Raffaello is in an excellent location convenient to many downtown venues. We'll be back!

Much more could be done. Old-fashioned hotel. The embossed plasterboard walls are sad and ruined. The bathroom is small and uncomfortable. There is no room to lay objects. The carpet like other parts of the room has wear and tear. Beautiful location near Michigan Avenue and 360 Chicago tower.

I would not rate this a 4 star hotel. I’m very disappointed in the price I paid for the quality. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Nearly $500 waste of money! Small, crammed, old. Ohhhhhh and we didn’t have hot water for showers due the city working on the pipes, there was mildew in the shower, and stains on the furniture. I’d attach pics if I knew how. When I complained they said would you like a refund, I said that would be awesome, he replied with that isn’t going to happen. We checked out a day early because it was so terrible!

Great accommodation room wise, downside, breakfast only available in room at inflated prices, $4.0 + 18% charges on top.

Great hotel in downtown right next to Hancock and Michigan + a lot of great shopping including Barneys / bloomingdales within walking distance. The suites are well maintained. Only issue was the air cooling wasn’t up to par and they mentioned fixing it; as it will become an issue during the summer. Prices are better compared to the other chains nearby who charge a fortune.

Really nice hotel! Centrally located downtown. Parking was great they have valet parking with in/out privileges as well as self parking. Definitely will stay there again.

We've stayed at the Raffaello Chicago twice now for weekends in the city and both experiences were wonderful. The staff was accomodating and welcoming, the room was clean and felt luxurious, an amazing view of the Hancock Center and the lake, the location was perfect for a walk down Michigan Avenue, the rooftop bar was to die for, and for a reasonable rate, especially during the off-season (January-March). It's understated luxury keeps us coming back!

I and my family really enjoyed our time over there. It was an excellent choice for a great price. The room is clean and extremely comfortable. Definitely, I'll be back there again. The staff are well taking care of every details. The location is awesome and close to the most of the must visited attractions in Chicago. Higley recommended!

King size Business suite. Loved it very comfy beds;nice staff. Showers are weird but they'll work.

Fast check in. Clean, spacious room with 2 tvs one in the living room and the second in the bedroom. The bathroom is really clean and smells great. The hotel location is fantastic and close to many attractions in Chicago downtown.

Found a deal on deluxe king suite roomy has all the amenities of home. Front desk is very attentive and prompt to guest needs. A hidden gem nestled in streeterville will definitely be recommending to all as a great staycation spot.

Stylish hotel, comfortable rooms with small service as apart — hotel, micro, refrigerator, coffee maker. Very friendly all the staff. Very well located to a manzaba of. The Michigan Avenue, so you can walk to Millenium park without problem. Shopping malls and big shops. Very close and if it is summer the shore of Lake Michigan just a step away. Breakfast can be in LS room on request or very close to this Starbucks and other cafes. Rekacion quality — excellent price.

Stayed here for new years eve and my birthday. It is the perfect location, good price, and has a lounge/bar on the top floor. The downside is the elevators are really small (only 4 people can fit in it comfortably) and the rooms are just okay. Would recommend if you want a less expensive room in a good location.

A fantastic hotel, with fantastic employees, in a fantastic location. I really mean it — our stay started with the manager checking us in and giving us 6 out of 5 star service, and the experience only got better from there. The room had an incredibly comfortable bed, an AMAZING shower head, a great view of downtown, and was very quiet. The rooftop bar is one of the coolest bars that I’ve ever been to (HUGE whiskey selection, artisan cocktails, and high-class yet approachable atmosphere), and the front lobby is full of friendly faces. Even the doorman is friendly and interested in making your stay absolutely perfect. In summary, this hotel is where everyone should stay when they visit Chicago. It was such a great place to stay that my girlfriend and I actually extended our stay for additional day because we didn’t want to part ways with our new “home”. I can’t recommend it enough — thank you Raffaello!

The hotel turns out to be very inspacious as we did not fit my 4 camels and myself.
The Internet connection is a because they were not seen in Full HD the cries of DjMaRiiO, and I was going lageado the Minecraft.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… I got a really good deal on the Grand Suite for this hotel, so I paid relatively little money compared to the normal price of the room. The light fixture in the bathroom, as well as the shower head were both falling off the wall. The coffee pot had old water in it, a minor complaint but still kind of gross. Also, we stayed in November which is normally cold but it was actually pretty warm the days we were there, reaching 60 degrees during the day. When we tried to turn on the air, it would not turn on, only warm air came out. I am assuming they turned the air off for the building and it made the room miserably hot. The only real positive is that it was in an okay location. It was about a 10 minute walk from the Red Line and near many shops and restaurants. Aside from the complaints above, the room was big and enough room for three people. I would not stay here again, especially for the price it normally is.

The rooms and the hotel are a bit older. Right next to the John Hankock building within reach of Michigan Avenue and other Sehenswürdikkeiten. Unfortunately, the Rezepzion is constantly busy with itself or the PC. Does not do justice to the claim.

We show up to check in around 10:30pm and are told that we need to call Expedia because they have canceled our reservation. We call Expedia and they had no idea what we were talking about. I walk back into the hotel and ask to speak to the manager and am told he/she is on the phone with Expedia. I’m then asked by the front desk agent to write my number on a piece of paper so the manager can give it to Expedia. Come to find out, the Hotel was oversold and was using Expedia to do their dirty work. It’s now almost 3 hours later and we are staying 25 miles out Chicago. I used to work in hotels — overselling and walking people happens. It’s bad business to not have another hotel arranged for the guest to stay in (and I was told illegal). I am appalled and will be taking this as far up as I can.

The location was great. Only 1 block off of Michigan ave. The room was very spacious. I would stay here again. The only cons were the room could use some updating and the elevators are tiny (not really that big of a deal though, in my opinion).

I have stayed in many hotels from California to New York … this hotel was endearing and had personality but I would like to say for the 360 some dollars I spent to stay here for 1 evening (while working) I was not happy nor was I comfortable! I was greeted by a pile of ants in the bathroom and after my shower I almost fell down because the entire bathroom was so slick, no exhaust fan no shower curtain so there was water flowing over the entire floor and the bed was seriously the most uncomfortable bed I have EVER slept in in my entire life! I have worked in places all over the entire United States and this was seriously close to the worst. I NEVER write reviews but I cannot believe the amount of money I spent on this hotel and the serious lack of convenience or cleanliness was horrific.

Good room and an excellent hotel location, half uncomfortable the parking which is a block away but overall all good.

The hotel was nice but our rooms were not ready when they were suppose to be. Some were not ready until after 6 pm and we had a rehearsal dinner to go to. Staff really didn't seem to care either.

Amazing room, the bed is like sleeping on a cloud. The consierge not only helped us find a restaurant, but gave us a map and helped us make sure we could get there safely.

Would recommend only if interested in history of hotel. The lobby is very small and in a constant state of chaos. You do receive help with your bags when you arrive. Only one doorman assisted with cabs. The bed is wonderful and the bath is beautiful. If you have bad knees you won't be comfortable with the rest of the furniture as it sits very low. The air conditioner sounds like a jet taking off. The kitchen light fell down and 3 days later when we left it was still down. Too many quality hotels in Chicago to stay here.

Nice setting, competitive prices for Chicago and not very far from Lake Michigan!

Suites are spacious and clean. Location is top-notch. Delicious doughnuts on-site. However, When we checked in, we were given keys to the wrong suite (i. E. When we opened the door, there was someone residing in the suite). We were promptly given the correct room assignment when we approached front desk, but we felt uneasy about the fact that a stranger could potentially barge into our suite (due to staff error). We were also embarrassed that we entered the wrong room (through no fault of our own).

Pelago was fantastic. Some of the best service I have had in any restaurant ever. Ask for Alfredo! Food was 5 star as well. I had the red snapper and it was one of the top fish dishes I have had in a while.

Nice rooms and great location. Staff was nice however I would never stay here again because of the awful elevators. They are soooooooooo slow and tiny. They also have to be shared with the drunk nightlife that ride the elevators to get to the roof top bar. Not worth the hassle and wait to get to and from your room. Their is a small coffee/donut shop just off the lobby called Glazed and Infused. The donuts are amaaaaaaaazing and great coffee!

I have stayed at the Raffaello hotel several times in the past and loved it. We loved the charm and character of the hotel. So we decided to stay here again on our vacation. This time however, I can clearly see that they have let the hotel go. Our first room the paint was pealing from the walls. The table wobbled, the bathroom drain in the floor was nasty and unclean. The bathroom door would not stay closed, etc. They offered to move us to a different room, which was great. BUT now the new room has spiders and in the top corners of the walls. Clearly they do not spray or clean the hotel. We will not be staying here again.

Stayed for a couple nights with family. Service was great. Check in was easy. Room was clean and prepped. Walking to places was possible at this downtown location but parking maybe difficult. Was told that parking was $37 a night and it's be charged to room with unlimited in and out. Something to consider.

This was my second stay and it kept up the standard. Helpful, engaged staff, beautiful, clean rooms and super doormen work together to keep guests happy. We tried for early check in and there was some confusion but the front desk quickly offered a solution. Out suite was quiet and spacious. We had a beautiful view. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Our next visit will include the Raffaello. It just wouldn't be the same somewhere "commercial" and miss out on the extra special amenities.

Great location Very large rooms with lounge and two big screen TVs. Neacafè and microwave machine in the room, in addition to the fridge. Breakfast is missing, there are at the bar the donuts but they are high calorie and the breakfast that you can order in the room is not catered to Italian tastes and costs too. There is a supermarket close by, in the street right next door, on the right side and in the basement, where you can buy everything and have breakfast then well.
C is the Iron siege. Great bathroom. Great bathrobe. Great. Mattress. The internet is very good Quiet rooms. Some have a view of the lake. Clean. Friendly staff. At the 2 pair gym and PC to print boarding cards.
I would stay here again, recommended. Only flaws in the breakfast, said pronoun is rimendiabile.

First time to chicago, and stayed here. Stay was pretty nice, I must admit. Until I go to check out and then get told There is a $250 smoking charge, I would not be getting my $100 cash deposit back and also owed an additional $150. Lady at the desk said this like I was going to throw a fit. Calmly paid their EXTORTION fee and left, because I had somewhere to be. Thanks for completely RUINING my trip to chicago. Definitely was sure to tell all of my friends in Chicago this place is a extortion house. $387 for one night. Could have went to a hotel that actually cares about their customers, and gotten a way nicer room. This place is a joke. And I know for a fact they wouldn't have tried pulling their quick $250 scam if I was depositing/paying with a credit card, because you can bet that would be disputed and they wouldn't see a dime. Anyways for the last time, thanks for ruining my quick getaway to chicago Raffaello hotel. Failures in the hospitality business.

Beautiful property in a perfect location in the block adjacent to the Hankock Tower and Magnificent Mile. Very large and spacious rooms including the bathroom. Clean. The staff.

Very nice hotel and great staff however the only thing that will be preventing me from stating there again is the small elevators. The elevators are so small and only can fit 4 people at a time. We had to wait 20 minutes in the lobby to return to our room because of the small elevators, and to add to this the people going to the bar on the 18 floor have to use the same guest elevator as well. To come down to the lobby one day we had to wait for 2 elevators because they were full. This will definitely prevent me from stating here again.

The hotel is centrally located in Chicago which is very convenient. The rooms were nice and cleanly. The staff was very accommodating. In the lobby is a Glazed which is ideal for donuts and coffee. The overnight parking is kind of expensive. You can park in the lot across the street to save a couple dollars.

Location is quite good, we could reach anywhere using subway which is a 5/10 min walking distance. Also there are quite a few good places nearby for shopping as macys, uniqlo, bestbuy, apple. As for the room was very big one, even for 3 people and very clean.

My girlfriend and I came to Raffaello for a long weekend. We had high hopes, as the reviews were decent and everything was very clean. Sadly, we left very dissapointed and tired. If there was a 0 star option, we would be selecting that vs. 1 star. 1. Fast foward to later Thursday night we realized that the club above us on the 18th floor had little to no insulation between it and the room (they must have had a very ninimal budget when adding this feature to the hotel). We could barely sleep. The bed frame itself was moving it was so loud. This happened EVERY night and every morning furniture was being moved around at the crack of dawn by their clean up crew. We realized we wouldn't be able to sleep past 6 or 7 any morning. 2. The table in the living room was near unusable. Anything heavier than a bottle of water would cause objects to fall off the table. I could go grab a table from a garage sale for $10 that was nicer. In addition, the coffee table was unsafe as the glass does not properly fit the frame. 3. Good luck getting comfortable, the thermostat is regulated by season, so there was only the option of heat in the room and being on the 17th floor, heat rises. In attempt to allow some cool air into the room we opened the windows and received yet another pleasent surprise, deteriorating cigarette butts in the window sills. This was alarming and made us question the cleaning integrity of the entire hotel and staff running it. 4.

We used Expedia. Great service by the valet. Reception was simple. Room looks great. Perfect for the price.

We just went to eat lunch at the outdoor restaurant with our nine-year old daughter. The host asked if we had reservations. We did not but the restaurant was pretty empty because it was past the lunch rush; then she said they did not allow children. Under the description of hotel amenities, it says kid friendly. I am still confused about the whole encounter. Can a hotel and their affiliated restaurant have such a policy? It's possible, but it still doesn't seem right.

I have stayed here once and I'm a kid and I found this place amazing! There even isn't a pool! It's right by the Hancock tower which looks amazing at night. Down the street is water Tower Place a. K. A. Water tower mall and I love it there they have so many shops to choose from and there is a ton of variety. Definitely a 5 star rating location.

I stayed at this hotel and purchased through groupon and was very impressed. Alicia with guest services was awesome! The staff was so friendly, helpful, and I particularly liked that guest services uses a text feature to open a line of communication. The rooftop bar "The Drumbar" was a classy cocktail rooftop lounge. The waiting staff upstairs was particularly kind and helpful passing along their knowledge of various drinks that myself and the party I was with may enjoy. The rooms were tastefully renovated and the building had much historic character. Being right in the heart of downtown Chicago, the location was excellent. Overall I had a great experience and I will be returning here for sure Groupon or no Groupon.

All I can say is, in a city with more than 10, 000 hotels, I don't see why anyone would want to stay at a place where the manager is as rude as can be. Stayed at the hotel over 1.2.15-1.4.15 and was truly enjoying ourselves until it came time to check out. The manager, JENELINE GOROSPE, went out of her way to create bogus charges to be applied to my credit card and would not agree to take them off the account. Have traveled all over the world and never encountered anything like this. All I am trying to do now is let people know to same themselves and not deal with a manager like JENELINE. I sure hope upper management realizes they need to make a change. On a lighter note, they do have an employee named Diego who was fabulous, kind and overall a great attitude.

Fabulous! Always stay at the Raffaello Hotel. Very boutique and small. Love that personal experience. Lobby is delightful and lovely! Rooms are very Chicago. No view, but who cares! You get to see how has a fabulous balcony garden and are moments away from Water Tower and Plaza Hotel. Gorgeous hotel! Stay there every time.

I stayed at the Raffaello in March of 2014 for a convention I was attending in Chicago. I called to get a taxi one morning, they said it would be ready in 5 minutes. When I got downstairs, about 5 minutes later, the front desk hadn't relayed my message to the bellman. I waited about 30 minutes for my taxi. Next, I had a family emergency and had to leave a night earlier than expected. I checked out about 1pm. They didn't refund that last night stay but when I called, they said they'd give me a credit. I called to make that reservation, got hung up on 3 times and was treated very rudely. When I finally spoke with someone about booking my free night, they said it had to be used within 90 days. I tried to book it within 120 days. Needless to say, I'm very unimpressed with the service at this hotel. I was treated very poorly and would not recommend it.

I've had better service at Motel 6! I booked a deluxe suite through expedia for Saturday, Feb. 22 and arrived at about 6pm, assuming we had time to shower and relax for a few minutes before going to a show at 8pm. I could not have been more wrong — Stepping into the Raffaello was where our troubles began! After a considerable (30 minute) wait, the front desk finally got us checked into our Deluxe Suite with a view. While my friend stayed with the car, the concierge helped take our luggage cart into the hotel and up to the room. When he opened the door I was VERY surprised to see a small "king" room — with one king bed! I immediately said there had to be some mistake because I had paid for a two-room suite. So we went back down to the lobby and waited for the front desk clerk. She asked ME to provide a copy of my reservation and payment info. Fortunately my wife had printed everything I might possibly need and then some and tucked it into a pocket of my computer bag. They asked me to wait while they "looked into it" and then the manager came out of her office and explained that they had no idea we needed a suite and the only one had just been renovated and they would need to get it ready for us. We got into our room after 8pm (remember we had arrived right at 6pm) and were made to feel like they had done us a great service but giving us a freshly renovated room! It was nice but there were no sheets on the hide-a-bed.

The Raffaello is an attractive, reasonably priced boutique hotel. However, it's not as centrally located for visitors without a car as some other hotels, not being in the Loop proper. That said, rooms are nice and decently sized, and the lobby, while small, is attractive. The lack of nearby L stations notwithstanding, it's a good hotel to stay at.

Very good hotel. The bad thing is that you don't have free in-room Internet and if pedis send package to the hotel charge you $10 for each one, maybe not would be wrong to give any service included in the price. Care that debits escape them in the card and no one knows how, after much insisting they found him. Except for these very nice things.
