Hotel Alvalade

These Hotel is in main city where you can enjoy the view of the Luanda city. And their service was very pleasant. Down side they have an buffet as well as separate restaurant. Mostly you can find European and Angolan cuisine. Food was more authentic and ambiance is lovely.

Open roof swimming pool and good gym facilities.

The hotel has a rather gloomy atmosphere. Nobody is smiling your face at the reception. Maybe they had a busy day, idk.
There is no prayer room, and there seems to be no real intention to be helpful. They do not offer any halal food options, services, or assurances.
Yes, as Muslims, we are allowed to eat the meat slaughtered by the People of the Book, and thankfully our religion provides this ease, so there is no issue with that because Angola is a Christian country.
However, at the very least, when guests ask about halal food or a prayer room, the hotel staff should not react as if an object from outer space is approaching—especially in a hotel of this quality.
However, thanks to Chef Antonio, who understood the Islamic sensitivity regarding pork products and cooking requirements of the dishes for muslims and was very considerate. He kindly prepared a beautiful pasta with Bolognese sauce. It tasted amazing, and I definitely recommend any kind of pasta that you should try from him.
Apart from that, the services are exactly what you would expect from a four-star hotel. At this point, there is no real meaning in praising or criticizing these standard features. What truly matters—and what should be discussed—is maintaining respect, tolerance, and the willingness to help people from different cultures and religions.

The hotel facilities are good, service is not so good, hygiene of some of the staff is terrible in terms of smell, location is very good.

It’s very expensive. 200usd/night.
I arrived (due to my flight) at 4am the reception took more 20mins to give me my room…
For the laundry it was a nightmare.

I had a one-day stay at Hotel Alvalade in Luanda, and it was truly a great experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was professional and welcoming, making my short visit feel effortless and enjoyable.

My room on the 11th floor offered an amazing view of Luanda, which was definitely a highlight of my stay. Watching the city from that height was breathtaking and added to the overall experience.

The room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable, providing the perfect space to unwind. The lunch and dinner buffet were exceptional, with a variety of well-prepared and delicious dishes.

I also had the chance to check out the pool and gym facilities, both of which were well-maintained. The gym was well-equipped, and the pool area provided a nice spot to relax after a long day.

With its great location, excellent service, quality amenities, and stunning views, I would definitely recommend Hotel Alvalade to anyone visiting Luanda, whether for business or leisure. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

This hotel has my heart, the rooms are quite nice. With amazing complimentary breakfast. Staff is quite friendly and nice and hospitable. Lots the grocery stores around. Location is good.

I would like to suggest additional requirements for the food prepare some curry for rice.

Big size rooms, comfortable with very good quality and choice food. General cleaning is good.

Staff very polite. Rooms are clean. Nice location. Good bar and swimming pool. Great breakfast.

There should be an option for take away every day after the breakfast, lunch and dinner for the Guest, because the guest may be hungry within the intervals of each meal.

Good hotel with good and attentive staff.
But think certain areas are in need of refurbishment eg dining area chair coverings threadbare, hotel room toilet seat wood swollen/damaged etc.

Very good hotel, buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staffs were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable.

Very comfortable stay at the Alvalade the staff a great, from the front door, reception, housekeeping, restaurant and bar.
Rooms feel a bit dated, and it was tricky to figure out the shower — but I got used to it.
AC is a bit noisy but effective. Housekeeping is excellent. Thanks to everyone.

Stay at this hotel for one night. The check in was swift and the staff in the lobby were friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and spacious fitted with a small terrace. The bathroom was clean and sufficient. A nice feature with some fruit in the room.
There was buffet for lunch and dinner and I am not sure if they had a menu. The food was fine and so was the selection. Could have expected something more for a 4-star hotel. The chef cooking pasta dishes on order was quite nice. Breakfast was also good with a chef cooking omelet.
I didn't use many of the hotel's amenities, but enjoyed the stay. I slept well in the bed :)
