The motel is located centrally and is accessible to all the attractions nearby. The rooms are quite big and are very well maintained. They have all the basic amenities a motel should offer. The Wi-Fi works great. The staff is very understanding. Their wake up calls are also very prompt. They also give AAA discounts. The motel is always calm and the floor doesn’t creak at all. They also have a pool, a jacuzzi, free parking on premises, and my personal favorite, the complimentary continental breakfast. Will surely be back and will also recommend this place to friends and family.

This is the best option when compared with the other motels around. The environment in and around the motel is very low key and calm. The rooms are spotless and we can see the amount of hard work put in by the housekeepers. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is a boon. Enough parking facility and a decent sized swimming pool. The rooms have all the basic amenities. The prices are reasonable. The staff is very welcoming. All in all it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay. We’ll surely be back!

Me and my family stay here all the time if in the city. Reasonable prices and super clean rooms. They have their own mini fridge, a microwave and a locker in each of the rooms. Go for the upgraded rooms if asked for because they’re much more spacious and have a good feeling about them. The motel itself is in a safe place. We have never felt any discomfort whenever we’ve stayed here. All the employees are awesome, right from the front desk to the housekeepers, from the manager to the handyman. The water in the pool is quite clean and also the jacuzzi works unlike other places. The service hasn’t dropped over all these years and I hope it stays the same.

Have stayed at all the motels closeby and this tops the list by a long way. Excellent amenities and clean, well organized rooms. Rooms have their own lockers, a refrigerator and a microwave. All the rooms have wooden flooring. Go for the upgraded rooms if available as they’re even more spacious and well maintained. Complimentary Breakfast is available from 6am to 9am and is continental. Enough parking space at the front. Service is prompt. The manager is very helpful.

The Howard Johnson is a great alternative to a lot of the cheaper hotels in the area, Its not too expensive & the environment is very low key. The room service is great, The rooms are always spotless & very welcoming. Also, they offer breakfast which is a must for me! decent hotel at a decent price. The only down fall they may have is some of the employees definently need to work on their people skills. Over all, I'd say its a 3-4 star place. :)

I keep visiting this place and I can say this without any doubt that this is the cleanest Howard Johnson around. The upgraded rooms are a boon. They’re much bigger and better than the normal rooms with the slightest difference in pricing. The establishment is present in a nice calm neighborhood. The rooms have all the basic requirements. The staff clearly puts in a lot of effort to maintain the rooms neat and clean. The complimentary breakfast is available from 6am to 9am and it has juices, cereals, bagels, waffles, bread in short everything you look for in a continental breakfast. The people at the front desk are courteous throughout the day and night unlike other motels. Has nice food joints around that are open till late at night too. Will surely come back!

It is really difficult to maintain high standards but these guys do it quite well. Was here early last year and ended up coming here again this april for a conference in Anaheim. This place is close to all the crowd favorite places in Anaheim. Clean, quiet and spacious rooms with their own microwave, a safe and a mini fridge. All the rooms have wooden flooring. For the price they charge the rooms are a steal. They have a complimentary continental breakfast from 6am to 9am, a jacuzzi, a swimming pool, and free parking. Also the upgraded rooms are much better and bigger. Service is top notch, front desk people are helpful and patient no matter what time you go to them.

Happened to visit this hotel again last month after visiting it in early 2017. Glad to see the service is still top notch. The rooms are quiet and calm. Go for the upgraded rooms if given the option as they are much better, cozy and spacious. Each of thr rooms have their own fridge, microwave, a safe and a coffee maker. The service is prompt and the staff is understanding. The check in was smooth. Will be there again.

Was here last year in the month of September. Came back again this March. Their clean rooms and service is what makes me want to come back again. The upgraded rooms are excellent and spacious. They also have their own jacuzzi and a swimming pool. Parking is spacious. Staff is prompt. Will definitely come back.

Great value, clean and quiet. I stayed on business and location was perfect for me near several restaurants and close to my meeting location make it perfect for me. Check-in was fast and the hotel was very clean. I would definitely stay again.

Nice neat rooms with mini fridge and a microwave. Closeby to disneyland, didn’t have to travel far for fun. Staff did a great job of maintaining the rooms. Upgraded rooms with wooden floors are amazingly spacious. Had a problem with the keys and was helped instantly by the handyman. Great service altogether.

Best prices in the area. Not terrible either, plus free breakfast.

These are apartment converted motel rooms. Rooms are large. Poor build quality. The room I was in still had the flue for the kitchen, but no stove which was fine. Just introduced unnecessary noise from outside. Soundproofing was OK from room to room. It is surrounded by industrial buildings so expect to be up early.

This place was a little tackier than I expected. It was paint chipping from the ceilings and the colors in the rooms were atrocious. I think it's time for Howard Johnson's to either self is to a better management chain or get a serious facelift.

The front desk staff rude. Was very upset that I went to ask for a different room on the lower level because this facility offers no elevator service. The room looks like it has not been updated since the 70''s very strong musty smell in the room looks like some us just sitting in a vehicle outside the building watching you. Way over priced should have chosen a motel 6 at least they update their rooms and it would have been even cheaper price. I strongly advise to stay away from this facility. Not upto Howard Johnson standards.

They were really nice and had breakfast and they didnt want everyone id only the person paying.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! You can’t even use their bathtub because it has no stopper. Decent big room but blankets has stains of cumm! Breakfast is a JOKE! For the price of $90 a night you get waffles, bread and cereal! Oh wait they have coffee! NO SAUGES, NO EGGS, NO FRUITS! Minus well go to MOTEL6 they are cheaper then go to Denny’s for extra savings for your breakfast!

Clean large room. Quiet. Checking in was a breeze. Would stay again.

Ok place but bad TV signal and I couldn't connect my laptop to HDMI. It was due to it being blocked and a little outdated. But ok spot for piece internet, microwave and a fridge.

The staff is friendly and great. I really enjoyed the breakfast and in my opinion had a great selection. I enjoyed the waffles, oatmeal then I'll admit. I ran down a little later for a bowl it's frosted flakes and a bagel. Clean rooms and great price. I will definitely have no hesitation booking here at this location again in the future.

It's a clean hotel with a small fridge and coffee maker. They provide hot and cold breakfasts. The TV is very small in the room. It's a nice stay overall.

I dedinitely enjoyed my 3 day stay here recently. Front desk was courteous, respectful, and patient. Which is always a plus! The rooms were okay; comparable to a Motel 6 or Comfort Inn I think. For the price though, I think it was money well spent!

I'm not a hotel snob, I just want to clean room at all price points! I book a hotel according to whom I'm traveling with, where and purpose for travel. This time I was traveling with a group of young girls attending a cheer camp in the area. I didn't book the hotel. We only needed the hotel to cool off in the pool after a hot work day and to sleep. It did its purpose. However I must say this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed! The location of the hotel seem to attract Shady characters! The guys next door to mine were smoking cannabis, one of the young girls with me said it smells like a skunk in our room and not wanting to answer any questions, I quickly sent the girls to the swimming pool while I changed rooms! The employees and the guess service person, we're all nice and accommodating and I had no problems changing rooms. The hotel itself is old, needs lots of updates, with horrible views of cinder block business walls and the swimming pool was dirty! The rooms seem clean however again very old and out of date giving a dirty feel. No one in our group could connect to the Wi-Fi. The rooms did have a mini fridge, coffee and microwave, in addition to free continental breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel for people traveling with children. Best for adults only needing a place to sleep and can't find anything else!

I stayed at the Howard Johnson in Buena Park Knotts July 22nd 2017. I am not very picky when it comes to hotel as long as there are no roaches or bedbugs and the room is clean. But I do have to point out the facts in my review. Because when I look for a hotel I depend on honest reviews. I will write my review with pros and cons Pros 1. Comfortable bed 2. No roaches or bedbugs 3. Cons 1. While showering the bathtub filled with water and would not drain. 2. While walking on carpet feet would get black. I would have to wear shoes at all times. 3. I was in the far room of the hotel and the Wi-Fi and cable was terrible 4. I only had five channels and the TV was very fuzzy. 5. No Internet connection at all. 6. Room was outdated. But I did not mind that at all that is not a big deal for me. 7. Breakfast only consisted of waffles, toast, carrel, packaged oatmeal, and bagels. Drinks were orange juice, coffee, and apple juice. Small eating area, get there early. 8. Pool is small 9. When I asked for towels the first night I got there after showering we needed fresh towels for the next day and the hotel front desk did not have any till the next morning they said. Well that is pretty much my review. The room I got was free and I really didn't get into the room to sleep till 9 PM so I was pretty tired so I just used it just to go to bed. But if I would've stayed longer or been in the room earlier then yes I would've minded and asked for another room. Good luck everyone.

Very clean, some what dated. Bed is comfortable. Staff is very pleasant. TV channels are limited, does have HBO. Everything about my room was nice including the AC. Again very clean.

Was there for one night only. Was going to Knott's so needed to stay at a close by location. What a wonderful location. Close too alot of restaurants. And very easy to get to knotts. If traveling and need a place to stay I would recommend this location.

Absolutely DISGUSTING! The room was dirty full of bugs, the towels and sheets were stained and the room smelt like poop. We obviously checked out early and went elsewhere. This hotel doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating.

The front desk person was not very helpful for one other thing we walked into the room and it was 100 degrees! No a. C. Or even the fan on! What is up with that we turned it on the fan has 1 speed that's slow… You would think they would want there customers to be comfy going into a room…

Close enough to the freeway and to the parks that you won't get lost. Comfortable beds… for a couple a days max. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi. Great place for what it is.

The room was clean as was the hotel itself. It was a small room but still easily accommodated two beds. The pool was small and the hot tub comfortably fit two people.

Horrible! From the start door didn't work, only 12 channels with bad reception, Wi-Fi is only 2mbs, small stuffy rooms old carpet and furniture, shower and sink leak, beds are old and squeaky. Would never stay or recommend to anyone again!

The worst. Front desk lady… rude… didn't tell us where the room was located (we came at night with a reservation), drove around thinking we could find it quickly. Well we didnt. Drove back to the front desk and she told us the wrong directions. Room needs major MAJOR updating, hair EVERYWHERE… sink, toilet, bath tub, the front door, EVERYWHERE. The beds are super uncomfortable. It doesn't feel clean at all. The very last time my husband and I will be staying in a Howard Johnson. Oh I forgot to mention, they gave us the wrong room. Go figure.

Service: Excellent. They let us check in a full hour early which was lovely because we were exhausted. Everyone we encountered was friendly. Rooms: Clean. Nothing fancy, but for $40 a night we got more than we paid for. Plus free Wi-Fi! I've paid more for hotel and was still expected to pay for internet access. The mini fridge was bigger than expected and clean as well. I didnt use the microwave but it looked as if it was in good order. Breakfast: Pretty darn good for being free! They had waffles but I'm a cereal person. The coffee was tasty! Pool & Hot Tub: Also clean and well maintained! Overall: I couldn't be happier. This was a very nice place for the price and the service was excellent. I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Horrible service, room was dirty blood stain on sheets asked for another room front desk was very rude about it she told me to go get clean sheets and change sheets myself. I wouldn't ever stay there again. It's so disqusting.

I made my reservation 2 months ago for a weekend stay & explained that I would be paying cash & they said that was fine. The week before I was to come out I called & verified my reservations & that it was still ok to be paying cash & was told yes! So the day of our arrival my son called when we were an hour away from getting there & he was informed that our reservations were canceled do to no show & the card they said they were not going to run didn't go through! So we spent the last hour of driving in trying to find a new hotel! Now today calling & talking to both managers they both called me a liar even though I told them I can show them proof on my bank statement that the full amount for the weekend had been pulled & then when I checked my account after that call I saw that most of the money had been refunded & so I called them to tell them I was wrong & the amount they owed me was the amount the lady manager said in the 1st call & she put the male manager in the phone & she proceeded to talk in his ear & so listening to her he called me a liar even though I was telling them that the money had been refunded & that they only owed me the 74 she had said! So here I am writing this because I don't appreciate the way I was treated & I didn't even stay there & after this I never will do business with any Howard Johnsons hotel anywhere!

We did have a few issues but they were resolved.

Affordable room rate, decent breakfast, friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi. The TVs, air conditioners and plumbing needs replacing or maintenance. Just a little.

Pretty sure we brought home bed bugs from our stay there. What else is there to say.

Before booking this hotel, I checked to see if you had to be 21 years old. No where on their site did it say this, nor did it say on any other site that you had to be 21, it only said you had to have a valid credit card. So I booked this hotel, and I drove all the way from Vegas and got there at 10:30 at night, to find out that you do have to be 21. The hotel attendant laughed in my face when I said I was 18 and had two 17 year olds with me, and I told her I'm not even from here and no where on their website said I had to be 21. I said all I wanted to do was go to Knotts in the morning. She then called her supervisor, walked into the back, I heard her laughing, and she came back out and told me no again. So thank you Howard Johnson, I was almost homeless for a night in a city I've never been to before. My business will always be at the Marriott for now on.

Free shuttle to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. We got a king-sized bed and the room also came with a double bed, so we could have had an extra guest if we wanted. This hotel is great for anyone on a budget. Conveniently located, nice staff, clean rooms with fridge and microwave. They have a pancake machine for continental breakfast that makes good pancakes. Staff went out of their way to get shampoo for me when some wasn't readily available. Safe neighborhood for parking, Stater Bros. Grocery store nearby and lots of fast food options. It was really easy to make a reservation for this place. There's plenty of outdoor space for smokers and even a BBQ grill. The pool/spa looked clean but I didn't get to use it. Will stay there again next time in Buena Park area.

To start of the front service desk attendant Sheri has a attitude problem, she obviously doesn't want to work there and hates herself and life. The rooms were dirty we came out all biten by who knows what it. The beds are extremly uncomfortable might as well sleep on the floor type of beds. To top it off it says that they have a continental deluxe breakfast which is far from it all they have is a waffle machine, hard aged bagels, self time exhausted cereal with stepped on bread. The worst hotel experience avoid this place for your own health and good.

It is an okay hotel for a tight budget. I will never stay at another Howard Johnson again. Each one is a franchise with no particular standard. The rooms are a decent size, but not very clean and are very dated. Breakfast was meager; not much to choose from. The staff has been relatively friendly though not very attentive right away. Proximity to Knotts is nice. Not a huge fan! Again, will never stay again.
