I stayed at the Hotel La Casa de Maria for nine days in early May 2025.

This central Hotel in Oaxaca was a delight. We had a small problem in the room and they upgraded it immediately. We were impressed.

Fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of Oaxaca, less than a block off the square. The grounds were gorgeous and the rooms were clean. The staff were a delight — attentive, helpful, patient, and kind.

Clean. Quaint. Professional and hospitable staff. Quiet neighborhood steps away from Jalatlaco & Centro square. The fan inside the room was a lifesaver. 😍

I am not for frills or loud hotels. A beautifully decorated environment, colorful and comfortable. Fresh air and quiet space to rest. Close to local restaurants and art galleries.

This is easily one of the best places I’ve every stayed at. The superior double room on the ground floor (room 1) is way bigger than the 20 sqm as described on Booking.

This is a lovely modern guest house with a really spacious room, a comfy bed and pillows and the laundry service was a huge bonus.

This little pink hotel in an absolute gem! Wonderful, relaxing courtyard, really comfortable beds, close enough to walk to everything but away from the crowds and the noise.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and clean, and I appreciated that they accommodated our request for rooms with terraces next to each other.

Location was perfect and felt very safe. Bathrooms were spacious. The only downside was the 4 person dorm on the first floor beds weren’t the best as they seemed to have holes in the mattress.

Casa Angel is a really nice social hostel that isn’t too party-heavy, which I appreciated. The facilities were clean, and the beds were comfortable.

Great location to go anywhere room was lacking some items like linens we actually bought a lightweight blanket but other than that good.

What a great place! The room is spacious, clean, quiet with an equipped kitchen. The view is amazing, and Araceli, the host, is super sweet, helpful and lets you feel at home.

After a long stay of 6 weeks, we are enchanted by this posada 5 minutes from the superb Mazunte beach and its shops, restaurants… The comfort is perfect, the view magnificent and the owners, Manuel

A holiday rental I return to year after year. Five years now, and the reason is simple. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk to the beach. The sea views are constant and never get old.

I stayed with Juan Luis, Fanny and Jack for about a month in 2018 and absolutely loved their hospitality. Felt like being at home, but in paradise.

Really lovely staff and great location. Despite being in the centre the rooms are quiet as they face onto a courtyard. Stayed there during Villa Mágica de Mitla and was able to sleep well.

Staff is super sweet, even brought us coffee in the morning. Accommodation is basic but was perfect for our short stay and the bed was comfortable with very warm bedding.

Best service we ever experienced. The owner went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect, amazing! We always ate at the hotel, which was also delicious. Rooms were amazing and the view WAUW!

I have had a great time at this hotel. I have even came back several times with friends and by myself. The view is magnificent, it is very clean and cozy.

So close to the beach and many shops. Enjoyed 2 nights of camping with utilities and one more in the general camping area. LOTS of beautiful birds around.
I felt safe camping here. Highly recommend.

Pro: great location! 10 min walk to Santo Domingo Church, restaurants and parks. I stayed in the presidential suite. The suite was amazing, clean and air conditioned.
Restaurant was great.
