El Alquimista has an exceptional location—set in a natural alcove that feels wonderfully removed from the rest of Zipolite while still being just around the bend from everything.

Our At El Alquimista was one of the best experiences I have had in my many years of travel. We have This motel in the past and have returned to Zip polite because of our experience at this hotel.

I can’t believe people are actually giving this a low rating. I thought it was absolutely wonderful. Nice clean and comfortable rooms, beautiful views, pools and ocean were fantastic.

Outstanding location. Staff amazing. Julio and Miradeli are the hardest working servers (in the ‘quiet pool’ area) we ever experienced. They hustled non stop and never without a smile on their face.

This is a beautiful resort and our second time here! We love the grounds, pools, beaches, staff and amenities. We have traveled a lot and feel this resort has it all.

Great location, huge resort. We went with our two young children but found it difficult due to the hills and no bathtub in the room, only shower.

The beach here is lovely and you can swim without being knocked over by waves. You can experience wild sea life from a distance from the comfort of the beach.

My partner and I stayed from Jan13-20/2026 and everything was great! Eddie and Prime were great at anticipating our next drink orders. We met Alvaro and Sandy while there and they were wonderful!

We enjoyed this hotel spa very much. Friendly staff and helpful. Great vegetarian restaurant. Good room service. The spa is really special.

Súper súper súper CLEAN! Always had hot water to shower, the a/c works fantastic, definitely worth staying here! There’s food and convenience stores in walking distance!

Just returned Feb 1/25. We have been visiting LDL for many years and have always had the best time.

We rented a garden view 3 bedroom and were surprised at how large and spacious it was, great location close to the beach. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a great place to hold a weeklong conference! The facility is beautiful, the food and service are excellent, and the staff is very friendly.

This is an older resort with lost of different levels and stairs, however there are shuttles runnning constantly for those that don’t want to walk or have mobility issues.

We have been here only 4 days so far. The hotel is good — 4/5 for facilities.

The experience was good. Hotel is a little old. The beach was not accessible at my time there. The staff made the time worth it though!

I loved this place! I didn't feel I was in a hotel, I felt I was at a home. The rooms and patio are spacious. They look very artisanal and they were very clean.

I didn't stay, but I booked a massage and it was fabulous — one of the best I've had that left me feeling amazing afterwards.

Our visit at Punta Conejo was absolutely perfect.! The food was delicious and always something new every day. The crew was very inviting and friendly.

Excellent facilities and very good located, the attention is excellent and they make recommendations in case you need it.

Our stay at the Posada Real was one of the highlights of the terrific vacation we had in Puerto Escondido, a town we will be sure to come back to and the hotel we would definitely stay in again.

The views are amazing, you can see for miles along the unspoiled natural beach with the occasional visiting turtle to stir the heart strings.
