Secrets Huatulco is a great experience, the hotel rooms are nice, private and clean and they have access to the pools and the ocean. The hotel activities are super fun and everyone is really nice. The only thing I would advise is to have a better quality for food in general.

Amazing hotel. Expensive, but wow, what a great place to enjoy some beautiful Huatulco weather. Bioluminance in the water at night was one of the top 2 things I've experienced in my life (make sure you go late on a night with no moon so it's dark).

Adults only Resort, all inclusive, facing the beautiful bay of Rabbits, a place for couples, friends or family, just 15 minutes from the Crucesita and 5 min from the Bay of Tangolunda.

The best place to truly rest and disconnect from the world. Super recommended. Everything is beautiful and perfect.

All rooms have an amazing view to the sea. They're designed with couples in mind and are comfortable and beautiful. Personnel is friendly and capable. Great variety of restaurants. Food there goes from ok to incredible. The sea and the sand at the beach (Bahia conejos) can be rough, but there was always a life guard on duty every time I went there.

It's a wonderful place. I recommend everything. I do not put 5 stars because in low season all want to sell (I asked for a spa treatment and forced to sell me another) coupons are their strategy to sell more. Romantic dinners in the sand are not recommended by mosquitoes.

5 Diamond Beach Hotel, adults only, double rooms, all with sea view, with Jacuzzi in each room and there are rooms with walk-out pool, activities included and specialty restaurants.

Recently, we took our second trip down to Huatulco and this was our second stay at this Secrets. First, if you haven't been there, Huatulco is a lovely place! It's beautiful, peaceful, friendly, and safe. The airport is small and it's relatively quick and easy to get through after you land. This is important to mention because the Huatulco Airport is much easier to exit than the Cabot Airport where there are so many aggressive people trying to get you into timeshares. Huatulco is much more low key and easy going from the moment that you land. Now, about the Secrets Resort. It's a very beautiful resort. It's quiet and it caters to a bit of an older crowd. So there is not too much in the way of night life. But if you want to get away, relax, and eat excellent food, Secrets Huatulco is the perfect destination! On both visits, we have found the staff to be extremely friendly and attentive. The spa is awesome and gives great treatments. The pool area is quite big and well serviced by a central restaurant and bar and one side also has a swim up bar. The beach is also very private. The Secrets is in its own little bay and there are no other resorts on its beach. As I mentioned, we have visited this Secrets twice now. We find this resort to be so good that we are planning to return more frequently in the future!

Lived up to our expectations of what a premium, adults-only resort has to offer. What we loved: Pools — lots of pools and lots of space to relax and cool off. Rooms — large, ocean-front (every room), romantic and private accommodations. Drinks — obviously all-inclusive needs great drinks and great options and Secrets has both. Room Service — if you need something they’ll get it for you. They’re prompt and discreet. Filled the mini fridge daily and brought new sunscreen, cloths, towels, etc daily. Entertainment Staff — definitely passionate about their jobs and friendly & sincere. Security — no wrist bands, very safe, friendly people. Weather — it’s hot. Prepare for heat and high UV Rays. Reapply sunscreen frequently. What we liked: Food — lots of options and low fuss to get in to the restaurants. Some were excellent, some were alright. Breakfast and lunch buffets were good with plenty of variety. Quality deteriorated as the service times got closer to closing. Service at all restaurants for dinner was excellent. Cleanliness — floors and rooms are clean. Some opportunities in the restaurants for higher sanitation. Beach — sand gets smoking hot and is coarse but it sure is beautiful. There are more beaches just a short walk (15 minutes) away. Hotel Staff — friendly, courteous, sincere. Wi-Fi — pretty good most of the time. What we didn’t like: Breakfast & lunch service wasn’t attentive. Tables and cutlery not always changed between guests.

Highly recommended for those who seek tranquility, rest and recreation. Being all inclusive you don't need to worry about food or drinks. The food is top notch and the facilities also. It's worth the price you pay.

A really amazing hotel, a little pricey but it worth it! I would say that is the best hotel in Huatulco! The exclusivenes of having the whole bay makes it a very special place to stay! One particular thing is that a lot of people from US and even Canada choose this place to stay so it is very strange to find locals. Given this… 77 the staff is really prepared for the visitors, perfect English and very pleasant! Definitely recommend and I don't even know why some people give less than 4 stars to it. The only thing is that the food is not always that tasty, otherwise it is very plenty!

Had a day pass for the resort while staying at a condo near here. It is a beautiful location and staff were trying hard… As others have described the food was plentiful but tasteless. Some amazing restaurants in town. The pool was full of loud drunk people and no lounge chairs available. On the beach I used a kayak and watched as two drunks I'd talked to take out the sail boat, one never having sailed before and turtle it requiring the staff to rescue them and the boat. If this is your kind of holiday as the place seems to be full but it's not for me!

Amazing resort! Huatulco is beautiful. All of the staff were amazing. Every room has an ocean view. Adelaida serving in Castaways is a gem and a reason to return! Luis was also memorable. This is the best resort in the best area of Mexico we have ever visited. And we have been to many. Sad to leave and eager to return!

I mean, mostly I liked it out of camp value. You really have to be a certain kind of person to want to go to an adults-only, all-inclusive resort. It's a weird place. But the staff were all excellent, super well trained in hospitality. The food was surprisingly decent. They booze was terrible and I opted to pay extra for good Mezcal. The beach is beautiful, but the sand is coarse and sharp. The pools are amazing. It's a very surreal vacation designed for a certain kind of traveler. Felt like a cruise ship, sort of.

Beautiful resort, stunning views and wonderful staff! More private and quiet than other Secrets Resorts. Good food! Use sunscreen… the sun is extreme. Bring a floatie as they don't provide them. No ice machines but room service will bring it!

Upscale Adults only resort, beautiful pools and restaurants, especially Castaways with a spectacular view of the beach below. Lovely service and fun animation team if you want to participate in water volleyball or aqua aerobics (but they won't pester you if you don't). Swim up bar service is awesome, same with Sky Bar. Lots of servers poolside and beachside, tips much appreciated. Beach sand here is very coarse and super hot so wear some kind of flip flop or shoe to get to the water. Mostly red flag since we've been here, but can go far to the left where it's more protected by rock to swim a little. May want to travel to a nicer beach but mostly we stay by the pool (a bit hotter there though). A lot of stairs but ramps and elevators will be an option for those with mobility issues. Can request a cart to take you from lobby to spa/activity centre or the Castaways/Oceana restaurants. Most rooms have a view, especially top 2 floors of each building. Elevator floor numbers to get down to beach do not match room floors so may be confusing at first. Basically front desk/lobby/coffee shop/theatre is top floor, and building 1, then below are most of the restaurants, the sky bar (reminds me of a cruise ship) buildings 2 and 3. Main elevator is past the sky bar which is Restaurant level R and goes down from 7 to 1 which is beach level). Towels are on 2 (no card required).

Excellent experience!, all the rooms of the hotel have sea view, the service is all inclusive and there are several activities that can be done inside the hotel, it also has spacious lounges and the service is excellent! 100% recommended.

Stayed here during Valentine's week. It is a very good resort, and worth the value. A couple nits worth noting; 1) the food was plentiful and unremarkable. I was never dissatisfied, however it's not gourmet dining. 2) The incecent need for most of the guests to reserve poolside chairs. In the week we stayed here we found chairs before breakfast, when the pool opened and towels were available. Twice when we went for early morning sunrises, many chairs were taken. It drives me crazy knowing people get up at 5am to reserve their spot in paradise, without realizing they don't need to stress over getting up early. Relax people, it's a vacation.

Very good hotel. Although it was very unpleasant that the dress codes are not enforced. In the restaurants of formal clothing "obligaroria" there were lots of people in beach clothes and swimwear. It doesn't go according to the hotel level.

A must see. The climate and the sea, fantastic. Without reproach for the hotel.

We just came back from my one week holiday at the Secrets resort. The place was very clean and the people were friendly and the food was very good. We had a beautiful view overlooking the ocean as do all the rooms at this resort. The two frustrations I had was the check in took very long because we waited for our room for approximately 3 1/2 hours. And then we ended up going downstairs to just get our own luggage. The other thing is we had paid extra money for the Preferred Club Benefits. I had read someone’s post on trip advisor not to purchase this package but by the time I read it it was too late because we had already purchased ours. And after our week I realized why they would have written that because there was absolutely zero value in it. The guy was going to explain to us what the benefits were and he didn’t. We have a paper explaining the benefits but it’s no different than anybody else in the resort gets. So I would say for anyone looking into purchasing that not to bother spending the money. We did have a nice time though and for someone looking for a hot beautiful vacation they could check this out.

My wife and I spent a week at secrets of Huatulco in January. The trip started out a little rough though, when we arrived the room we initially booked was given to someone else. Which kind of sucked since we were looking forward to the jacuzzi room. But the resort gave us a refund (obviously) and set us up with a free romantic dinner on the beach. Which honestly was probably one the best dinners I've ever had. Every staff member we met was very friendly and were always very helpful. My wife and I are 30 years old and 31 years old. And I think we may have been the youngest couple at this resort. Which I didn't have an issue with. This resort is adults only but I was expecting a couple younger couples that we could have hung out with. But the result of having a more mature main demographic also meant that the resort itself was very quiet! Even though sometimes it was difficult to find open chairs at pool side or at the beach (a lot of people just leave their towels behind and don't bother to come back for them… Rude. ) It never once felt crowded. The bars and restaurants here are top notch! We only had one meal that wasn't very good which we had at the bare foot grill. I mean it's not difficult to cook a hot dog properly… But other than that every meal we had was amazing. Excellent service too. If I were to come back here it would probably be with another couple.

An excellent all-inclusive option, the service is great the food is good. The beach in front of the hotel is amazing super clear and cleanwater. In fact those who work at the hotel strive to make your stay the best.

Very quiet Place with an almost exclusive beach. The Hotel is excellent, with very good services, spacious rooms and the staff is friendly and attentive. For Dinner It has 5 restaurants of different specialties, all with very good food, including one of Asian food with Tepanyaqui. Ideal to spend a few days of rest.

A nice place, rest, good atmosphere. The beach is nice but the sea is usually aggressive. Exclusively for adults. Good destiny. Good attention.

This is the most beautiful place I've ever been. The people are so friendly and truly caring. The hotel is a paradise. If you go there you need to go to the Sugar Reef and see Gadiel, the Skybar to see Angela. I hope you get Lilia for you housekeeping. Matilde in Coco's is the perfect person to start your day. Go to the buffet and say hi to Manuel. These are just some of my favourite people there and they made our stay that much better. We'll be back for a fourth time. Not enough space or words to describe the food!

Location is great, if you want to escape for spend a really good time, this is the place. Rooms are so nice, comfortable and nice decorations. Service is great everybody are doing their best and they really make me feel great time.

An ideal place for an ideal holiday, alone, as a couple or with friends. All inclusive adult Hotel in the midst of beautiful natural scenery and excellent weather. Food and drink of the best quality and in a great variety. The best of all is the professionalism and the warmth of the team.

First off, the location is absolutely gorgeous. It's situated in its own Bay and is a great location. The rooms were clean and very nice (not ultra modern, but nice). The atmosphere really laid back and the people are very nice. The service was above average. You could tell that the employees really cared and wanted to make you happy and make everything you needed available. Entertainment could have been a bit livelier but I actually liked it the way it was. The food was great, only had one bad experience at a restaurant while we were there, other than that no complaints. More variety for breakfast would be a suggestion. I will definitely be returning to this resort in the future.

A very nice and tranquil place with its own private Bay. You can choose between plenty of swimming pools or the beach. There are plenty of restaurants too! There was no a single thing that I didn't enjoy here!

You will get the same amenities/facilities by staying in a lower category hotel like dreams (from the same business) or barcelo, the advantage no kids allowed at secrets. The room was more less clean, I found a lot of hair in the pillow. I didn't like that since you arrive people at front desk push you hard to go to a breakfast were they try to sell you discounts pack starting at 28, 000 dollars! I hated that! And it gives you the sensation all time that employees are forces to sell this stupid packages and convince people to assist to the presentation. I never experienced anything like that before in a hotel. I payed for preferred room (around 40% more) and it only worths for 24hrs room service (that's good! ), the food at preferred club is not fresh and it is small room, nothing else offered that I see the value by paying the extra money. Food in general is not awesome just ok. Employees are very kind. Rooms are nice.

Service is incredibly kind! Food is awesome, drinks well made! Everything is perfect but the Beach… Sand is thick and the sea becomes very deep too near to the shore.

My aunt got BITTEN BY A SCORPION that was in her towel in our suite on our first day there. Unfortunately when you get bitten by a scorpion everything else pales by comparison. The accommodations are beautiful, the setting is ideal and the food is great. But I spent the rest of the vacation looking for scorpions in pillows, on towels, in beds. I didn't find scorpions but found plenty of spiders, even though they claimed to fumigate daily. Another thing to consider is that for all its picturesque qualities the beach is unfriendly with strong currents and rocky outcroppings. To put plainly, YOU CANNOT SWIM ON THE HOTEL BEACH, without putting yourself I extreme danger. This applies even if you are an expert swimmer. You have to drive 20 minutes away to swim in the closest beach and there all the "exclusivity" of your experience disappears. So if you're a pool dweller who is likes a look but do not touch experience of the sea, and enjoys close encounters with the areas insect population, this is the resort for you.

I went there in January 2012 when the place had only been open for a few weeks on my honeymoon. I loved the place. I remember the staff going out of their way to make everyone happy there. The resort is beautiful. I believe I had the best time of my life there. I don't travel often, but it's hard for me to imagine a better place to go to. I remember there being something different to do everyday. There were several restaurants there, and I remember we tried them all. The food was top notch, like having a luxury meal everyday. The "theater" had different dance acts each night, and one night they had karaoke where I sang "eye of the tiger. " The dance people were there that night, and learned my name "John". The next night after their dance performance, they greeted all attenders as they were leaving, and I remember them excitedly saying "John! " and were happy to see me as I was leaving. That was my last night there. I would love to go back there.

My wife and I just came back from this resort and I must say that we had a wonderful vacation there & will be back again. The service was excellent, very friendly & helpful staff. I would like to give an extra "Thank You" to May who works at the sales desk across from the front desk… she was exceptional. Food was very good in all restaurants, the spa message we experienced was very relaxing & professional. I truly can't think of anything negative to say about our experience there, it was truly enjoyable. Keep up the great work Secrets Huatulco, I will recommend your resort to all my friends.

Great hotel; excellent facilities and great the personal. Some restaurants are good and missing others a little food with low-fat or carbohydrates. In general, is a great option for vacation!

It is a very beautiful and very clean hotel staff always helpful and willing to your enjoy the stay excellent and varied food we love and of course it would host us!

Don't have diet soda, to be the second time q is visited, the chain, the explanation that you give about the services is minimal or non-existent. In the specialty restaurants you can not see the letter before entering what causes that if something the letter you don't like it because you're already seated and attended to, outside of this the attention is excellent, the food is excellent.

Excellent care and services in all aspects are a wonder, the perfect cleanliness, details for which we celebrate some anniversary. And I don't want to leave a comment and thank you for the excellent person is the captain of the restaurants of Secrets the Mr. John Ferrara, a gentleman and such a special way to treat the customer as to their workers. Excellent place. The concept of All inclusive is… All inclusive. Good atmosphere, good food, beautiful place and will go back again. Excellent for rest. Good choice if you don't like leaving but if enjoy. I recommend it widely.

Excellent Hotel, usually don't stay in hotels all inclusive since I prefer to walk knowing the place and its surroundings, however here at Huatulco there is so much to do and the hotel has everything you need for rest, fun and stroll. I do not recommend to rent a car in huatulco, there isn't much to do. I give it 3 stars because after how expensive that is this hotel, the 5 days we were ever we could get Lounge Chair at the pool. The Manager and the employees allow guests from 5 pm to save them with towels. And at day 12 the empty chairs only sections with towels while guests will have breakfast or eat. I told the Manager and he told me that they couldn't do anything.

Beautiful hotel the attention of first beautiful very romantic ideal for couples. 100% recommended.

THING ARE SLIPPING IN QUALITY This is our 3rd visit to this resort. It is a great property. We have found this time the personal were not as good as in the past, we were given the wrong info from the guest relations staff, the maintenance on the property is slipping. And an on going bone of contention is the sleeveless shirt issue in the resturants. A female can eat in a bikinni but a man can't wear a tank top for breakfast or lunch. So days there was towel service @ 6 sometimes @ 7 we could never really know. Bar service would vary as well. In the mexican restaurant for breakfast the toaster broke so you would have to ask them to take your toast to another restaurant to make it for you.

All rooms have an ocean view. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very friendly. Food was great and you do not need to make reservations for the evening a la carte restaurants. Great entertainment team with many activities to choose from. Free water sports from snorkel gear (nice small cove to snorkel in), paddle boards, kayaks and sail boats.

Excellent Hotel. The staff makes you feel good all the time, especially Mr. Luis Hurtado is a Gentleman and helps you in everything you need, and the waiters as this year. Elizabeth's Spice Restaurant serves you amazing, the food and cleanliness are excellent. We will return.

This complex destroyed a nature reserve! To such a point that it was almost virgin to this beach. Years ago anyone could go to visit this beautiful bay without any sight of construction. Go corruption more vile is the FONATUR.

Had my honeymoon there and everything was beautiful and staff was real friendly. Worth going back for another visit!

My honeymoon was here and the truth was like being in heaven, the hotel is beautiful, the staff, the truth is the best they are very friendly and not to mention the food, everything is very nice I come back to return as many times as I could.

EXCELLENT choice to relax, be pampered and have fun, from the moment of your arrival, await you with wet wipes for warmth, drinks and the best, a smile, facilities are beautiful, delicious food, the entertainment, the music is not so outrageous as in other hotels, is nice, so you can really relax, service is the best, people are super friendly, in particular, Carlos consergie, Javier and Leonardo in the entertainment, Eden, Esaul, Lupita, willy, Armando in bars, Alex of VIP which is always smiling! and in restaurants always smiling Nayeli, Sofia and many more that I don't remember his name, but all everyone deserves a greeting. Finally, whenever possible, I will come back to this place.

As a couple, we stayed in mid-2014 eight days at Secrets Resort Huatulco hotel. Eight days of dream and relax in full Board. For starters, breakfast was plentiful and varied. Many choices of restaurants within the hotel. Activities around the pool were animated by a remarkable and very friendly, GO Leonardo and especially MICHAEL known as MICKI, an adorable boy with a thousand facets, full of humor and kindness. Sea side, we were entitled to activities of canoeing, sailing, etc. The room was beautiful and very clean with walk-in shower and jacuzzi. From the balcony, we had a splendid view of the sea. The small staff was perfect. Around the hotel, a few excursions on foot, by quad or boat. This is the TOP. We forget not this trip.

The best place for a holiday of rest unbelievable. A magical place that you fall in love every day.

One of the best hotels all inclusive we have visited in Mexico. Excellent facilities, rooms, pools, bars, theatre, etc. And spectacular view to the Bay. Great food in all of its restaurants (congratulations to chefs). The SPA also first. The best thing is its people, very friendly and cordial, long not listening to how often the phrase "is a pleasure serve you". A very special greeting to Fabiloa, Miky, and Javier, professionals of the entertainment with whom we have fun a lot also.

Invite you to buy a kind of membership and give you a certoficado for 2 nights at any of their hotels, lobque not tell you earlier, is for certain hotels it's worth for a night and you have to pay the agreed amount (as 90 dlls) until within 30 days natirales after receiving the certificate, plus you have to set aside your booking com 90 days in advance and also with reservation Cancel you it at any time) CBIOS without notice). All say the certificate but not they'll say before going to invest about 3 hours which is the time that I've actually invested in his talk.
