Location location location with a unique old Penang finish. A very nice home away from home with no George Town attraction more than 20 mins walk.

We enjoyed an amazing stay at this charming heritage hotel, conveniently located in Georgetown with a short walk to 'old town' attractions.

Met friends at the Good Society Cafe next to the lobby. Tried their bread pudding. Has chocolate in it. Ordered a flat white. Flat white is delicious.

From arrival, the service was seamless and professional.

Great heritage hotel. The room is not large but it is perfectly organised and with an excellent showroom. The hotel is an oasis of calmness within 200 metres of the action.

What a lovely heritage hotel, we stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Everywhere was clean, rooms a good size and beds comfortable.

We had a really great stay at Cheong Fatt Tze. The mansion is beautiful! Pictures don't do it justice. It really feels like you're staying in a special slice of history. The rooms were really clean.

My wife and I had an excellent experience staying here. I wanted to go visit for it's history, and she wanted to because it was a filming location in 'Crazy Rich Asians.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. The room was very comfortable and offered a beautiful view. The facilities provided were generally excellent and well maintained.

Stayed here for a work event and thought it was lovely. The pool is stunning, with equally as good gym facilities — prob the best ive been to, as it had amazing views across the pool.

This is a luxurious heritage hotel formed from restoring a row of 19th century Anglo Chinese terrace homes, originally a Lee kongsi building.

This was our first visit to Penang despite having lived in Asia for 22 years and it was a complete delight.

What a fantastic cosy hotel. The minute you walk into the lobby you can feel how comfortable it is. The rooms are comfortable — especially the beds.

Great location, within easy walking distance to Armenian Street and Komtar, and easy for getting Grabs to anywhere else.

This is our second time back at 88 Armenian because we were so impressed during our first stay here 2 years ago. This time round, it didn’t disappoint!

Can’t fault this hotel at all we absolutely loved it. Rooms were so nice and pristine, loved having coffee/tea facilities, cold fridge, amazing shower and fresh towels and room cleaned daily.

Perfect location. Just 3-5 min walk to free CAT bus to town and to main bus station and Strait ferry. Lively and helpful staff. Cleaning rooms every day if you wish. Good Wi-Fi.

Beautiful, heritage building on Penang waterfront. Excellent reception staff, friendly doormen and wonderful breakfasts. Cafe staff very hospitable and friendly.

1st day, location is good, very convenient. Across the parking is a Hawker food place. Less than 5 mins walk is a convenience store.
Buffer breakfast included and it's the best.

Very nicehotel and nice location and view. It is facing the new gurney park right opposite and the view is very nice. I stayed here 10 years ago when it was Evergreen Laurel Hotel.

Stayed in this hotel for more than 20 years (always with breakfast included) when it was under Evergreen Laurel. After Parkroyal took over last year the buffet breakfast has improved dramatically.

⭐ We stayed at G Hotel Kelawai from February 21 to 26 (6 days and 5 nights), booking two rooms—and it turned out to be one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve had.

Had an excellent stay here. Greeted with dessert when we arrived for check in. Check in and check out process was smooth. Porch parking was available on site.

An awesome place to stay up on the hill! If you need a getaway or a retreat, I’d highly recommend! They have coffee and tea always available, a beautiful view — and plenty of hiking options.

Hickory on Penang Hill is a phenomenal find, in my estimation. The location is secluded and off the main beaten path on the Hill. Raj has done an incredible job restoring this bungalow.

The Muntri Grove is just fantastic. I cannot recommend this establishment enough. We had the most exceptional service from start to finish, which really was of a 5-star level of standard.

My stay at Muntri Grovr was splendid. I stayed at a room on the second level, where the pool is also situated. There are complimentary ice cream and water for all guests.

I spend at minimum 3 weeks every quarter at the Penang Marriott and each time I am treated kindly. Greeted by concierge at the door and quickly greeted by Melanie Goh who makes you feel at home.

As an M Club member, my family and I stayed one night in the 2-Bedroom Sea View Suite.

I truly enjoyed my stay at JEN Penang Georgetown by Shangri-La during my March'26 visit to Penang, Malaysia.

Stayed for 2 nights here. The room was clean and comfortable. Located in a good area near some shopping malls and food markets.

Every corner of East Indies Mansion is thoughtfully decorated, and you can truly feel the history and character of the building the moment you step inside.

Loved staying in this original Penang mansion. Tasteful interiors, books and objets d'arts. Super comfortable beds, delightful staff and a quiet respite from the buzz of the neighbourhood.

St. Giles Wembley Penang Hotel is a great hotel to stay. The room was clean and its location is convenient to shopping malls and other tourist attractions in Georgetown.

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend to explore Georgetown and we are so pleased we booked this hotel.

Overall very satisfied with the stay over here, front desk staffs are very helpful and friendly, they recommended us many nice places around Georgetown.

Stayed here recently and had a really pleasant experience. The place is actually converted from a century-old building, so I was a bit worried it might feel old — but it turned out to be the opposite.

Joey was very kind and helpful during our check-in. He provided a comprehensive list of delicious food options to explore surrounded.

My husband and I had such a wonderful experience at lyf Penang last year during the Alliance Bank Heritage Run, Penang.
