Beautiful place to have an experience in.
Very very friendly staffs all around. Very peaceful, quiet and relaxing. It is a MUST place to spend a holiday at.

Our first impressions of Seven Terraces, was one of discovering a hidden gem in the back streets of Georgetown. We initially went for after dinner cocktails and were met with incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and professional staff who complimented the beautiful interior of this amazing establishment.
We then had the privilege of being treated to a very special lunch of a tasting plate of a huge variety of dishes served in the most exquisite dishes. Everyone was impressed with the quality, range and beautifully presented dishes, which undoubtedly will result in many return visits to further sample the chef's offering.
Finally, a personalised guided tour and history of the building was given to us by the owner. Suffice to say, this was the cream on top. There is far too much detail for me to cover off here, other than to say, to hear about the effort, attention to detail, passion and commitment to deliver this extraordinary product, only further enhanced my already high praise for Seven Terraces. I can guarantee, it will become a regular haunt for years to come. Do yourself a favour and pop in for a drink or a meal and you may end up staying a few nights in there magnificently appointed suites.

Although this hotel is a two storey heritage building, surprisingly there is a lift for the seniors and wheelchair friendly environment! Thumbs up on this thoughtful facilities.

Your staff has double standard! I was there and I went especially to view the exhibit as I am a collector of Blue and White too; the old woman came from the shop and shouted no pictures ; and next thing I know, I see Rozz posting a picture of the exhibit; well done for doing such a brilliant job discriminating against guests to your premises!

Staff is great, breakfast is excellent. Rooms are antique, large and cozy but "old" smell could cause your nose to react. Little maintenance could improve it.

This is an exceptional boutique experience where you feel welcome and relaxed from beginning to end. Its just devine and opulant without being intimidating. Loved our two level room where we lounged around watching movies before our dinner at the restaurant. Its a special occassion place. Its an exceptional example of world class restoration. The staff are delightful. It offers excellent value for money. I'd definately recommend it and definitely stay again.

Fancy fine dining. This restaurant is of the same group with Jawi Peranakan Hotel of The George Town Heritage Hotel. Very nice property, with all antique interior and decoration. Food is good though a bit toned down for my palate, the desserts are HEAVENLY. If you eat here do check out the enchanting tropical courtyard of the Seven Terraces hotel adjacent to the restaurant. Oh and Prince Charles was here!

Fusion Pernanakan cuisine at Kebaya Dinning Room. One of the very best in Penang. Great ambience with live music performances.

Love love love this place. Enjoyed our two night stay here, the lovely terrace with real flowers and plants, the layout of the hotel, the beautiful Art Deco, the comfortable and traditional bed upstairs, and the delicious breakfasts! Staff was friendly and helpful on every aspect. Already missing this place so dearly!

Points have to be given for the superb paranakan restaurant, the eager service of its staff and the novelty of staying in a restored paranakan house, the relaxing afternoon tea by the pool. But I would probably want to give this place a miss otherwise. They seem to have an insect infestation issue, with house-staff doing make up rooms and turn down service with cans of insecticides and insecticides prominently displayed in clothes cupboard. The diffuser in bathroom makes you nauseated and frankly I think it is just insecticide used as diffuser. Other than that, the pillows are flat and smells. Wires in the room feels sticky and smells of fish sauce. Bedroom slippers, face towel and hand towels are not provided for unless you ask. The toilet is large and spacious, but the design makes the whole place wet. I am 170cm tall and my feet keeps dangling out of a surpassingly king-sized bed — it is so not the size it was supposed to be. I guess it must have been wonderful before, maybe management changed or something. Hope it lives up to its potential again.

Good atmosphere in a refurbished baba nyonya style house with classic furnitures. Staff are very friendly with good hospitality, and breakfast and dinner were both delicious. I totally enjoyed the stay but I gave 3 star because it was not priceworthy considering the neighbor (noisy hostel until midnight right next to it) and room condition which was not worth MYR600.

Visited Penang with my family and stayed at Seven Terraces' Stewart Apartment — what a fantastic experience! '
The hotel is located in the historical part of George Town. The property itself is made up of approx 7 colonial shop houses and contains 16 apartments of various sizes. Stewart apartment is the second largest madeup of 2 single beds, a king bed, two shower \ bath rooms and a huge lounge area.
The decor includes authentic peranakan furniture which added to the mystic and charm.
Staff members we came across were very friendly, especially those in the front desk\reception area — they went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
We also dined at the Kebeya restaurant and the food was fantastic.
All up — we've had a wonderful.

Lovely room and great atmosphere for short getaway. The evening tea (nyonya delicacies) and breakfast serves is absolutely delicious as well. Worth to pay for a visit.

Modern boutique hotel with reproduction antique furniture, price bit higher than 5 star hotel but recommend to stay for western people.

Well recommended! Great service, excellent and very large rooms. Spilt level with two bathrooms. Attached restaurant is one of the best in town and great private courtyard.

Incredible and perfect chinese-english decoration done with taste and real materials/furniture to recreate a true XIX century asian atmosphere.

I can only comment on the hotels restaurant the kabya which we chanced upon from the street. It was in fantastic setting elegant with access to courtyard when use toilet. Had set 4 course (though one refers to vegetable choice to go with main meal) for 120myr. Upmarket treat.

What a memorable experience for me and my family especially for my 81 yr old grandma loved her stay here. Our original booking was at Muntri Mews but because of some technical problem on the room we supposed to stay in, we were lucky that the GTHH upgrade to Apart from being a beautiful property (love2 the antiques deco), the service is really what makes this place truly special. One of the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed. Can't believe this beautiful gem is at my kampung. To everyone at Seven Terraces (especially Robert & Wendy) thank you for your warm hospitality. To Mr. Chris Ong what an amazing place you have, thank you for sharing your love of antiques collection with others. I definitely will repeat my stay here and recommend all my family & friends to stay here when they visit Penang.

This equisitely and lovingly restored group of shophouses in Georgetown is enchanting in its beauty but is likewise run efficiently and with the expertise of professionals who regard the experience of the traveller as paramount. Staying at Seven Terraces Hotel is to step back in time but with the addition of modern conveniences. Take time, like me to enjoy the pool and afternoon tea between 4 and 5. This is an experience not to be missed.

I'm from Penang but I didn't know about this awesome space until my friends who visited me told me about it. After a good afternoon walk at the heritage zone, we decided to check it out and it definitely blown us away. The staff were in all smiles and very helpful. We enjoyed the bar and drinks a lot. We ordered white wine, tea and cocktails. One of the cocktails was with gin, lychee and peppermint, very refreshing. The ambiance and deco were well done with unique peranakan …essence and glitters. It was not busy when we were there, a few other hotel guests were having dinner. Just when we were about to leave, there was live piano performance, a very nice touch to the oriental and local encounter. A great choice to chill for a change. Lots of photos were taken by my photographer friend and as the night fell, we were truly wow-ed by the glowing lanterns that made the whole building shine, with tranquility, class and warmth. Worth a visit!

Excellent Peranakan heritage style hotel with a pool, bar & fine dining restaurant called Kebaya. Service was flawless throughout especially at the poolside, very attentive staff. Food was amazing at the restaurant!

Great setting, maybe a bit too sterile in comparison with the rest of th restaurants in the area, fixed menus, three courses, delicious food, good and courteous service, all in all a reasonable price for the whole experience. I would warmly recommend this restaurant.

This is a lovely boutique hotel! Very trendy and beautifully maintained. The pool is rather small though. The nonya restaurant however is absolutely amazing (and priced quite high as well). Good for the experience if you have the extra cash to burn.

Great location in the heart of historic Georgetown, wonderfully restored old building. Good breakfast, nice small pool. Complimentary afternoon tea poolside. Kebaya restaurant is justly famous — excellent quality Peranakan food and attentive service. We did have a noise problem in our initial room but were moved to a nicer one. Evan (who is moving to another property) was a valuable source of local info and Wendy couldn't do enough to help make our stay a pleasant one.
