Stayed here for 4 nights. At the first day, it was a national holiday, and I was invited to join lunch in the terrace. It was sooo nice, the food was soo good. Then in the evening they had a durian tasting. So cool! In the kitchen there's always food, cake or bread, anyone can eat them or share their food too. They have cats inside too. The building is old, so mind your steps not to disturb others with the noise. The room was big, bed is comfortable. The blanket is too thin. Toilets are okay. Once the bathroom was clogged at midnight. For the rest, it was a wonderful experience staying here.

A great guest house in a nice location within little India. The staff were wonderful and they work very hard to build a sense of community.

Located at the little India in the world heritage, it's so convenient. The hostel is good and clean, the owner is friendly too. It's guarded by a cat. Meow ~

This place is just pure joy. I cannot help myself from returning again and again. Howie is one of a kind and so caring and generous. Simple accommodation and a little rough on the sides but adds to the character of the experience. Highly recommended. Will not disappoint. Cheers.

Very small hostel equipment, the boss is very good, this is very difficult in Penang.

Simple but clean and quiet place. Shared bathrooms are in moderate condition but good enough. Owner is very interesting guy with fair, polite and helpful attitude.

New born kitties lived in blood and excrements in a paper box confinement. 2 of them died a day after I reported to SPCA. The hostel claimed they were not their kitties, but anyone who saw such abject living condition would immediately want to clean up and give them food. Kitties were wailing nonstop when I came close, which shows the intense lack of care they went through. This is a hostel that bears the name of cats but abuses/neglect kitties to their deaths. Do visit this place to check on the kitties and win a bonus verbal fight with the idgaf and contemptuous owner old man to fend off afternoon bordoms.

The location of the hotel is in the centre of the city. Lots of places to visit. Near to those heritage tourist attraction spots. The staffs are good and friendly. Simple, clean & comfortable room. Will come back for my next stay definitely! Thank you.

Low budget hostel. OK for the price. Good location in center of city. Close to ferry and to little India. A lot of food and streetart nearby.

Cocoa mews was nice and had a great staff! But if your a little bit picky about your residence and cleanliness, don't stay here. At one place in the shared bathroom it actually grew mushrooms. They didn't have any common room except for the smoking area outside. Otherwise we had a good stay.

Great location and the guys are super helpful. Kittens had just been born on the door step which is always a plus!

There were bedbugs and roaches in our room. The bathrooms were also disgusting. For the price you can find somewhere much nicer and cleaner to stay.

Nice staff, simple facilities, the dorm was a bit smelly and there is not much of a common area. But overall ok for the price.
