Yamatoya Besso is the address if you want to stay at a traditional Ryokan! Close to Dogo Onsen and a shopping street the location is unbeatable.

With views of famous Dogo Onsen, this traditional Matsuyama ryokan is centrally located yet also feels private.

We were greeted by a warm host who drove us to another onsen 5km away over other side of Omishima when nearby bath-house at the Dome was closed.

The lady owner welcomed us very nicely and even offered us to go to the local onsen — a lovely evening — our bicycles were safe in a garage.

Overall this is a very comfortable hotel. Our room was a good size and well equipped and had a good view.
Unfortunately our stay was marred by a poor breakfast experience.

Generally nice hotel and location. Room was a little small for two people. The bed is unfortunately right next to the wall so someone has to crawl out.

We had an amazing stay at Bakushuku Den Guest House. Not only is the place itself very nice and clean, but we also felt very welcomed by the host.

I stayed here for just one night, but I've enjoyed it a lot. The bunk beds are spacious and provide ample room for your belongings next to the bed.

Great hostel. Rooms were clean and new with friendly staff! The view from the rooftop sitting area is really nice out onto the inland sea.

I decided to stay here because I found on the internet that the quality of the hot spring water was good. The hotel is a business hotel. The food is also like that of a business hotel.

I chose it because I wanted to enjoy the hot springs slowly and thoroughly.
The hot spring facility next door is also beautiful and you can use it as much as you like!

The location is ideal.

2nd stay. Great small hotel across from the station. Small non-smoking standard semi-double this time. Facing the parking area side is the best. Very nice check in and friendly staff.

Consistent rooms (identical layout across almost all Toyoko Inns) … basic, but clean & comfortable. And centrally located in almost all cities! Compact but well designed… enough Wi-Fi for Zoom calls.

A bit old but great value and friendly staff. Many locals were staying here too, so you wouldn’t feel surrounded by tourists around the hotel or in public bath.

The hotel looks shabby and out of the way, but the staff are kind and everything is put right once you see the onsen. The baths are modern, but have a lovely old feel.

This is a stable inn where you can stay with your dog.
Walking on the sandy beach in the evening is the best.

The rooms and everything in the building were really clean, and the owner was very nice.

Just in front of Dougo Onsen, and you can take same Onsen spring hot water in your room! The room is cozy and every room has different decorations. Quite unique Onsen hotel!

I really love this hotel! I was not expecting it as the rating seems to be just average. However, I love the location just across the Iyo-Saijo station and it was really very convenient.

Best hotel I have ever been to, I would go back anytime and highly recommend.
We did not know it was a love hotel, but it was fully fonctionnal for long stay of travelers.

We are going to stay here for two nights. First night is already the best night! It is very unique and great experience for a couple!
