4-Star Hotels in Ehime4*

Amazing modern onsen hotel! Located within 5 minutes walk to the main dogo onsen.
The hotel is modern and has an onsen bath in each room as well as a public (hotel only) one on the top floor.

Matsuyama was originally just meant to be a transfer stop on our way to Hiroshima, but in hindsight, I wish we had left Kotohira earlier and stayed two nights at Dogo Miyu instead of just one.

Their restaurant has fish fried hamburgers and they're so nice.

They have pick up and off service from/to Niugawa station even though the time is limited.

I have been a guest twice at the Imabari Station Hotel.
Don't be mislead by the low ratings — these are mostly from before the renovation.

Best business hotel ever in Japan. Great breakfast. Elegant, simple room free of advertising clutter. Spacious entry and excellent desk/bench seat design.

A bit old but great value and friendly staff. Many locals were staying here too, so you wouldn’t feel surrounded by tourists around the hotel or in public bath.

Central to everything: Okaido is a major stop for local buses, highway buses, and streetcars.

Compared to some Japanese hotels, the room was a decent size, bit probably the smallest of the trip. No wardrobe space — just hangers on the wall. A fairly new building.
