Matsuyama Hotels

Provides everything you need for the complete onsen experience!
We stayed one night in this hotel while driving from Kochi to Hiroshima.

A cozy hotel with tender service. Its hot spring spa is tidy nice and clean. The food serves me with delightful tastes except its wagu steak which, in my opinion, was overdone.

Small rooms however staff service and facilities and location were good. Parking fee was 770yen.

Comfortable modern rooms. Cafe serving coffee and cocoa free from machine. Walking distance to shopping and famous bathhouse around in the area.

Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable.

Located in a great location. Walk out the front door and you are in the middle of a busy market. However, it is not loud and the room was quiet. Everything was clean and comfortable.

The location is near the station. You have to tell the taxi driver to go to Shieki. There is another train station with a similar name in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's location right above Matsuyama City station made our commutes easy and convenient.

Clean. Room is not big but functional with a desk. Bed and bedding were comfortable. Washroom is good size with a tub. Faucet are new. Amenities were provided. Free breakfast was good.

A less than 5 mins walk from Matsuyama Station. Room was spacious and came w all amenities.

Fantastic hotel with an open air bath in the room. Very good value for the price. Also their public onsen are clean and nice.

An amazing hotel experience that we will remember for a long time. The food and service was of the highest quality.

Spent 3 days 2 nights in this wonderful hotel (may 10th ~ may 12th) It was wonderful. I luckily got the seaside room so I could watch the beautiful sunset.

Room with a view! You can sit in your own personal onsen and watch the glorious sunset. It feels like such a luxury! The rooms themselves are small and basic but clean and with everything you need.

Amazing modern onsen hotel! Located within 5 minutes walk to the main dogo onsen.
The hotel is modern and has an onsen bath in each room as well as a public (hotel only) one on the top floor.

Matsuyama was originally just meant to be a transfer stop on our way to Hiroshima, but in hindsight, I wish we had left Kotohira earlier and stayed two nights at Dogo Miyu instead of just one.

Extremely convenient well-priced hotel with very nice rooms. Sink was in the room which was a bit odd but toilet was separate from the bath which was nice. Room was extremely comfortable.

I used to live in Matsuyama my first six years. I was looking for a place very close to down town, in order to have easy access to all attractions and main shopping streets/malls.

This hotel was absolutely perfect. The price is very reasonable for the quality and service. The staff were very professional and courteous. The in-room sauna was clean and well maintained.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel:
— service was very nice and helpful: they helped me to find a restaurant, and always found a way to communicate with me despite my inability to speak Japanese.

We had the most wonderful private dining experience in our room. I’d like to commend our server, Maki, who was a paragon of compassion, kindness, wisdom and professionalism. She made our evening.

Really attentive service, the room was wonderful and the food was great. Good location. Highly recommend if you want something a bit luxurious.

Great location, facilities are all well kept. Lots to do for families.
I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for a disappointing dinner service.

On arrival a young male staffmember was rude to my guest BUT within minutes a meeting was arranged with the Manager who treated us with amazing respect and totally understood our feelings.

Booked thru booking. Com for cheaper rates and stayed 3N. The perfect hotel to stay for a short trip into the city. But 10mins away from the castle as well as right opposite a major shopping district.

Stayed 2N. The property is locate next to the Dogo Onsen (Japan's oldest onsen) which is undergoing renovations. The hotel is equally old and is designed in a very elegant way.

This review is after my second time staying, I took the ferry to Hiroshima for the weekend. I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.

Definitely book here if you’re in Matsuyama and want a gorgeous little hostel. The owner is a great guy and the building itself is so beautiful. Location is perfect right next to Dogo Onsen itself.

Business hotels in Japan are great for solo travelling in general, with the main differences being the price, location and perks. The price was excellent considering the location and the perks.

The best hotel in Matsuyama!
Everything was fabulous: you cannot get a better location — next to the oldest onsen in Japan!

Everything was fabulous: you cannot get a better location — next to the oldest onsen in Japan! Very quiet district, parking your rented car in an automated lift tower: super practical and cheap.

Best hotel I have stayed at close to Dogo onsen (2 min walk). Big clean rooms, nice hotel onsen, but a little expensive. Will definitely try to stay here next time I visit.

Location is very convenient, next to Train station and bus stop for highway bus is next to it. The room is larger than most hotel, with plenty of room for luggage.

The hotel is located about a hundred meters from Matsuyama Station. The room was good size, looked recently renovated although the furniture was old and somewhat worn out.

Yamatoya Besso is the address if you want to stay at a traditional Ryokan! Close to Dogo Onsen and a shopping street the location is unbeatable.

With views of famous Dogo Onsen, this traditional Matsuyama ryokan is centrally located yet also feels private.

There are many restaurants within a short walk. It's a multi-storey parking lot, but you can get in and out freely. It was 800 yen a day.
During peak hours, it may take a while for a car to come out.

Is it a late model as a route in?
It's a little off the main road, the downtown area of Matsuyama City, but I wonder if it's that much quieter?

We stayed at Hotel Sanbancho for 2 nights after completing the Shimanami Kaido to rest and visit Matsuyama. It is a large and luxurious hotel with onsen baths, but has rooms at affordable prices.
